One of Geyserville's best kept secrets is Diavola Pizzeria and Salumeria! Oh...all the region locals know about Diavola. However, most tourists passing through do not. Years ago, while dining in SF, people sitting next to us said it was their favorite restaurant in the popular North Bay. It is now one of mine too.
Starting with a tasty margarita on TGIF, today was the perfect refreshing drink. Arriving at 4 ish p.m. and snagging the window front table, we relaxed while watching Diavola fill up fast! Couples, families, and solos at the quaint bar...it's everyones go-to for sure!
We also happened to have the most gracious server, Jolee, who let us sit with our drinks while looking out at the beautiful mountain peaks waiting for the 5 p.m., magic hour when the dinner service began. (There is a limited afternoon menu too should you show up early and desire some eats.)
We started with the most incredible oven roasted beet salad. Omg. A salad pic and ingredients are shown in the photos below. Absolutely delicious! Pair this with the house made breadsticks...yum. The Margherita pizza was our choice of entrèe following that substantial salad. Thin, crispy crust with the perfect addictive sauce and mozzarella cheese!
Two simple but totally elevated items, salad and pizza, were so satisfying and reminded me why the drive to Geyserville is always on the agenda when we are even remotely in the neighborhood.
Diavola is a low-key, casual Italian eatery serving some of the best food around. And not just pizza. Check out my menu photo. This is wine country, so you can count on many choices of by the glass or bottle. Beer, too.
Thanks, Jolee, for such lovely service!
Do not be a stranger. You will be sooo glad you stopped by!
Cheers!
