Diba Persian Restaurant Chelsea - Review - Chelsea - London - The Infatuation

"You could come to Diba for a joojeh skewer, but our favourite thing about this Persian restaurant on the far end of the King’s Road is the traditional specials like slow-cooked lamb shank or tomatoey zereshk polo. It’s a warm place to comfortably catch up with a group of friends, have a quiet, last-minute date on the mezzanine seating, or bring your entire family to share kashk e bademjan without worrying about overstaying your welcome. The grilled meats won’t blow you away, but they’re satisfying enough. And if you’re looking to switch it up from your usual, the dizi—slow-cooked lamb chunks with softened potatoes and chickpeas, mashed in a clay pot, before being wrapped in naan and dipped in a rich tomato sauce—is excellent. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Pause Unmute Food Rundown Kashk Bademjan A rich, smoky aubergine dish that’s great to snack on while you wait for your mains. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Dizi Mashing the lamb and potatoes is a little bit of a workout, but it’s worth it for the comforting stew that comes from it. Scoop the soft lamb up into the naan, and dip into the tomato sauce for a meal that’s extremely moreish. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch" - Rianne Shlebak

Visited Diba for the first time today after a shopping spree in London. Cynti and Negin were very welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious and flavoursome and the place itself is very pleasant. Will definitely visit again on our next trip.

We visited Diba today with friends. The food was delicious and well-prepared, though the prices were on the higher side and the portions slightly small. We were pleasantly surprised to receive tahdig and olives on the house. Our server, Sepideh, was exceptionally kind and attentive, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.

The atmosphere was great. The food was wonderful and really delicious. Our waiter Cynthia gave us good recommendations and we will definitely go back again. The tea made the meal complete served with 2 complimentary baclavas.

The food was absolutely delicious. Every dish was prepared with care and presented beautifully. The flavors were rich and balanced, and it was clear that fresh, high-quality ingredients were used. My personal favorite was the main course, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The dessert was also a highlight—sweet, light, and the perfect way to end the meal.

Wonderful Experience at Diba Restaurant! I had an amazing time at Diba Restaurant during my visit to London. The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavor and beautifully presented. The service was prompt, professional, and very friendly. What really stood out to me was the warm and joyful atmosphere. The staff were so welcoming and kind, making me feel right at home. You can truly feel the hospitality and care they put into everything, from the way they serve to how they interact with guests. If I ever return to London, I will definitely visit Diba again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for authentic food, great service, and a lovely experience!

The staff made an effort and food was decent. The really frustrating part was the inconsistency in pricing: The menu advertised outside the restaurant shows certain pretty good prices, but when you get seated you get a menu with prices 35% higher. For instance, the dish Joojeh Torah (chicken skewer) is priced at £18.95 at the menu outside the restaurant, but the actual price is £24.95! Funny fact: The menu showing online is also a different one, showing completely different prices (£21.95 for the same dish). Not implying it is a scam, but it is definitely poor practice, resulting in overcharging.

Diba is an authentic Persian restaurant in Chelsea that I highly recommend. We started with Salad Olivieh and Mast-o-Moosir, both very delicious, and the highlight was the freshly baked warm Iranian bread. For the main course, we had the grilled fish and the special kebab (one skewer of koobideh and one skewer of barg). The taste was authentic, juicy, and full of flavor. The waiters were kind, attentive, and very welcoming. Definitely a must-visit if you are looking for a true Persian dining experience in London.
