What a gem! The food was absolutely mouthwatering and the service was excellent. The menu is only in Greek, but the staff are happy to explain everything. The decor inside is beautiful, and it’s also lovely to sit outside on a warm day. The lamb chops were so good. We highly recommended!

What an absolutely incredible tavern. Food is simple yet spectacular. Raw materials are of the highest standards and flavors are strong and intense. The place is a bit hard to reach and definatelly needs a car but the place itself is nice with great atmosphere and service.

Great atmosphere! The owner was friendly and helpful! The dishes were unique and traditional, mostly made by hand without microwaves or freezers, truly a different experience from other restaurants. The food is amazing and is definitely worth trying! You won’t be disappointed with this Tavern!

The most amazing restaurant. The community, family and love you receive here is unlike anything else. This was the best lamb we’ve ever had and can’t wait to come back to Crete to visit again!

Best food we had in kreta!! We did not have a reservation, but the owners welcomed us and made us feel right at home as of minute 1. Greek hospitality is the best in the world. I overheard German guests saying it was the 4th time this week they came for dinner. Looks like we’re going to do the same! Greek restaurant like you envision it in your mind. The nicest hosts, the most beautiful setting, the tastiest, Greek food we had on the island of Kreta!!! The host starts by sitting with you and taking the time to go over the Greek menu. This is the best place in the area to get lamb chops (Greek παϊδακια). A very traditional place. The owner/cook knows his lamb extremely well. If you go there, lamb is a must have as is the liver (Greek συκώτι). The menu can have slight changes but one thing is for sure, the lamb is always there! Gets very busy on Saturday evenings! The locals love this place.
