My husband said he was the last customer for the evening. I got a loaded baked potato. It was horrible. The potato was barely warm. The butter n cheese wasn't melted, the potato was hard n dried not fresh at all. Looks like they scraped up the last pieces of meat n threw it in the potato. I am very disappointed n disgusted. I will share n inform my friends, family n social media. My husband ordered The beef plate. Omg r u kidding me?!!!!! He paid $34. lost for words.

Very disappointed with the two Hispanic males working today at about 2:30 pm. The one that placed my order from behind the counter was friendly, appeared to me that he did not want to be there or just did not want to work. When my order was ready, he did not let me know, left the bag and receipt next to the register and walked away. When I made it home to eat my so called chopped beef it looked like the other person just gave me what he wanted, sliced beef. I asked for chopped, I was looking forward to chopped. Mainly for my elderly parents. It takes them longer to chew sliced beef. Now regret adding a tip. More than likely will not be visiting this location again. I might drive near Parkland hospital and try them out.

This is the worst place evert to eat. I spent 24.00 and my food was burnt and dry. The workers were rude and I'm disappointed. People work to hard for and don't need to just waste money on burnt lunch. It seems like this was yesterdays closing food because I was there at opening and would expect everything to be fresh.

They will certainly serve you old or undercooked food. It’s mind boggling they won’t make anything fresh at this location whomever owns this franchise in the area needs to be more hands on! Save yourself the chance of getting sick!

Google
I hate these. There sorry to hear they didn't love up to my expectations cry. Your a fast food restaurant... How can you get 5 stars? You think your good is a 5 star facility? The decor is cheesy and cheap. The food is edible in that I have to have lunch somewhere. Get over yourself and be happy you got 3 stars. I normally deduct a star after they cry like this but the guy behind the country was pretty nice so I'll leave it. But Dicky's grow up

Google
They charge you more than the price on the menu board. When you pay, they force tip— There’s no zero option. I just wanted to get my to-go order, why am I forced to tip?

Yelp
Today is the THIRD time I have made the trip only to find the store closed before the hours posted and without a status update posted on the website. As I write this review, another customer has arrived to find the same. When I do eat here, it lives up to the Dickey's standard. I like their 2 & 3 meat plates, but the mac-n-cheese with brisket is my favorite. First time, shame on you. Second time, shame on me. Third time's the last charm. I won't be back. again.

Yelp
Every Friday I order food for my staff at work and we normally go to another location however this was by far the worst experience I've ever seen from any restaurant the guys .....after picking the food up I get back to office to find out we are missing multiple plates of food I went back to the store and asked to speak to a manger they said there was no manger on duty after letting them no what happened they accused me of just wanting more food finally they ended replacing the meats only on my food (so childish in my opinion) I open it to see it wrong again once they finally got it right I went back to the office and everyone complained how bad the food taste so I proceeded to call up and got a hold of the manger he informed he was there the whole time but was "changing" he proceeded to say these were corporate sent employees that were in training (so if they are in training why are they unsupervised) he went on to say he agreed 100% there staff dropped the ball and is the reason we had such a bad experience I felt we should get our money back and he agreed I should get my money back but unfortunately only corporate can do that

Yelp
Ordered half rack ribs + Xtra ribs and Medium brisket chili mac. No Xtra ribs and brisket chili mac. Store personal told me sorry I have a trainee and no one to bring items. Between Dickeys and Uber Eats I was robbed of $10.

Yelp
This place is bad i ordered three meat plate and this is all I got my order was $35 total for me one person I could've had a huge steak I feel like I was ripped off very bad!!!! I don't know if I'll ever walk into another Dickeys again!!

Yelp
I had a great BBQ sandwich and the environment was pleasant and friendly service. The employees were professional and welcoming to the business.

Yelp
I am stupid, for eating here more than once. Maybe it's because I kinda like the jalapeno sausage, or I hate myself just enough to not want to wait in long lines for much better bbq and service. This is the most idgaf, I coulda been on Broadway, now I'm "stuck" chopping beef and the customers have to deal non-effort customer service I've seen in a while. The lady behind us walked out because the two guys were chillin in the back. Guess they're only accustomed to one customer per hour. How this place remains open because of the ever shrinking portions, ever rising prices, and checked out service says a lot about how good their sausage is or how many stupid self haters, like myself, live in my zip code.

Yelp
I purchased the pork ends sandwich and it was less than appetizing. $7 wasted. It didn't look nothing like the picture not even close. No cheese. You shouldn't have to look at your food before leaving the restaurant. Very disappointed and reminded me why I don't eat at Dickey's.

Yelp
LOVE the original Dickey's on 75&Knox. Been to almost all other Dickey's locations from Illinois to Texas and nothing compares to the original location UNTIL we tried the Cockrell Hill franchise in Dallas. The BBQ here is amazing. True to the original in quality and the restaurant was super clean. Top notch customer service. Great employee work ethic at this location. Will be back soon!

Nick S.

Yelp
Oh for crying out loud! How do you screw up bbq? Seriously? Smoked turkey that has no smoke flavor. It felt rubbery and plastic. Tofu has better texture. It reminded my of Oscar Meyer bologna. I'm insulted that this was served to me. Brisket that could have been plant based. No moisture, no cohesion, no flavor. Well.. ok. There a flavor - sawdust. It was so dry I had to take a drink to wash down every bite. I had to drown it in sauce! Speaking of the sauce. It was like eating tomato flavored candy. I'd hate to eat the sweet version. Die-a-beet-is. Oh and the sides? Air flavored "bread" with the texture of styrofoam. Mushy green beans with bacon "flavoring". You mean vegan bacon bits that pretend to taste like the real thing? Watery slaw that doesn't seem to come an traditional style or recipe. The only thing that was good was the iced tea. I'm never eating at this chain again, and I will discourage others from going.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the meal Got 3 meat platter and there was a lot of food Ribs jalapeño sausage and my favorite beef brisket So juicy and flavorful Premises was clean Staff could be a bit more cheerful but food is what mattered hence 5 stars And meant forgot free ice cream What more do I need

Yelp
I've eaten at Dickey's in several states. This one was a bit different. The barbecue was fine but they didn't offer the traditional Texas toast and there were a couple f other things missing from the menu. It kind of felt like it was a franchise and not a full blown Dickey's. Non the less the food was good and I would return.

Veronica S.

Yelp
The Arlington location is amazing, which makes all other locations seem lacking. Arlington location has free hot rolls, and a pickle/bbq sauce/onion/condiment bar that is perfect for your Sunday BBQ. The staff is super awesome and helpful.

Yelp
This was my first event using Dickey's to cater and paid for 90 people. I will have to say the food was good, but we had some issues with the leftovers. They said the left the food when they brought the receipt so I gave them a good tip. And continued with pictures as it was my wedding. No food was left and they claimed to of made sure everyone was served at least once but the 20-30 of us taking pictures did not. I believe if I paid for the food and the service I deserve to keep the leftover food.

Janet W.

Yelp
If I could give zero stars I would. What bbq place runs out of beef and pork by 6:30 on a Saturday? They need to replace whoever plans how much to make. I will never go back to this location this was my first and last time to go there.

Michael J.

Yelp
We walked in the door and the gentleman behind the counter told us to let him know when we were ready. When we ordered, Eddie was super friendly. The bbq was surprisingly good; moist and tasty with the right amount of smoke. The fried okra and onion tanglers were really good; lightly battered, fresh out of the oil, hot and not greasy. I was a little worried from the previous review, but go when Eddie is on and you can't go wrong.

Yelp
The soft drink cups have the traditional "Hi, My name is:" invitation written on them. I was tempted to fill it in as "A JOKE!" and upload that picture with my review. But I decided against it. To put it shortly, this place was a serious disappointment. I'm staying in town on business, in from Los Angeles. The irony is in LA as of the last month or so they have been running radio ads for Dickey's but not once in my near 30 years as a resident have I ever heard of one outside of the radio time, let alone see one. So here I am in Dallas, and there's a Dickey's right next to my hotel. Being the obedient consumer that I am, I remembered the radio ad and stopped in for dinner. I ordered the 2 meat plate and wow, what a failure. I ordered ribs and pulled pork with mac and cheese and bbq beans. Pulled pork: Not bad, the better of the two protein options. Unnecessarily over salted and not trimmed well, but good deep smoke flavor. The pitfall being the poor serving size. One tiny tongs pinch worth, probably the solid mass of 1/2 metric cup. A 5 year old child's handful, etc. Ribs: Again, solid smoke flavor, but nowhere near tender. Tips still on (more of a preference thing). And only 2! TWO ribs. There are 16 in a rack, so 1/8th rack is an acceptable serving size here. Mac and cheese: Awful. Just awful. Makes Kraft look like something 5 star from Maestro's. It might have been frozen velveeta because it tasted nothing like cheese and more like some sort of artificial oil/butter hybrid. Soggy noodles too. YUM. Beans: Probably the least disappointing thing on my plate. Good flavor, well seasoned, only drawback being they were swimming in liquid. Even in the paltry serving cup it was probably 60/40 water to beans. So if you haven't detected the theme here it is portion size. Maybe 3oz of pork...MAYBE, 2 ribs (lol 2) and 1/4 cup of watered down soggy sides. I am not a giant man hippo that expects a buffet everywhere I go. But at almost $16 for my meal I expected more than what would pass for a kids meal most places. Isn't everything supposed to be bigger here? There are a few chains in Southern California that smash on what is being served at Dickey's. Famous Dave's, Lucille's BBQ and even a few indipendent places too. BT's BBQ in Huntington Beach rings a bell. In summary: Below average food and insulting portions when put against the price.

Yelp
Ordered online only to find that they don't receive the order like we put the order in and they added onion which I'm allergic too and then when you call the store the only thing they can tell you is to call corporate! Can't even refund you the money or even Make you another sandwich! They shouldn't give options on their online menus If they won't follow it

Yelp
I have sent this email to the Contact Us link on the website twice since this happened. I HAVE NOT HAD A REPLY OR PHONE CALL! On Sunday, August 2 around 3:00 p.m., I picked up an online ORDER #12316812 at 4475 Adler Dr, Ste 106, in Dallas, TX, 75212. Below are the facts regarding what happened. 1. The 2 orders contained the 2 Meat plate of sliced beef and sausage w/beans and cold slaw. A roll and both a sweet & unsweet tea. 2. I selected the spicy barbecue sauce, onions, and pickles on the next screen. 3. I added the additional ribs for each plate; 2 ribs on one and 3 ribs on the other. 4. I selected the option presented after the ribs for spicy barbecue sauce, pickles and onions. 5. I arrived on time and my order was promptly brought to my car. 6. The female worker gave me a receipt to sign. 7. I asked for my copy of the receipt & she said it was in the bag & she immediately returned inside the restaurant. 8. When I arrived home, I was disturbed to find there were no condiments for all this food except one little container of barbecue sauce for each of the plate orders. A TOTAL OF 2 little barbecue sauces each containing about a teaspoon! 9. And, my copy of the receipt was not in the bag! 10. I called the restaurant and spoke to the female employee who answered. 11. I explained what happened & she immediately began making excuses that the condiments that I selected didn't show up on her receipt. I told her that I didn't elven get the receipt that I asked for during the delivery process. 12. She insisted that I was incorrect & that I didn't request condiments or more than the 1 sauce for each plate. I told her that not only did I do that, I selected 2 sauces with each plate along with pickles & onions. I felt as if she was accusing me of lying!! 13. I asked whether there was a supervisory person that I could talk to. 14. I overheard a conversation with a male employee who likewise didn't seem to care that my order was incomplete & he wasn't going to talk to me. 15. She said she would call, "CALL THE MANAGER", and tell the manager what happened. 16. I requested that she be sure to do so BUT that the impression that I was getting about the service that I was getting; I didn't really expect a call back. 17. It's now been 48 hours and I HAVE NOT HAD A CALL, EMAIL, OR TEXT FROM ANYONE from the Dickey's located at 4475 Adler Dr, Dallas, TX 75212. They had all my contact information! 18. Since this is a new location, I decided to try it! 19. I am now VERY DISAPPOINTED w/Dickey's! All Dickey's, if these are representative of the employees & managers that you are hiring! 20. The courtesy of a reply for my $48.00 order would be very much appreciated!

Yelp
Great Service! Called in a couple hours ahead for a luncheon for 30 people. Spoke with Eddie and said he would have it ready for pickup. Eddie and his great staff had it waiting for me when I walked in. Very professional and courteous staff. Thank you I will be back.

Yelp
i was in-town for business recently, and came here for dinner. i ordered The 3 Meat Plate with sliced (moist) brisket, pulled pork, and ribs. sides were mac-n-cheese and fried onion tanglers. the moist brisket was juicy deliciousness; every bite was pure heaven. the pulled pork was pure tender smokey goodness. the ribs were equally wonderful. as i've said in previous bbq reviews, i'm all about the sauce. their original sauce, and their spicy sauce are definitely in my top 5. the buttered roll was fresh and delightful, the mac-n-cheese was delish, and the fried onion tanglers were lightly battered strings of heaven. this is about the 5th time i've eaten at Dickys (all in diferent locations), and they never fail to disappoint. whenever i'm in dallas, Dickey's is my GO-TO place...

Yelp
Service was lackluster to say the least to begin with. I ordered a two meat plate that includes two sides. I asked for the creamed spinach and the girl behind the counter said with an attitude..."we ain't got no cream spinach" with a laser beam death stare. I don't know if they were out or this particular location doesn't serve this side. I order my meat choices (ribs and smoked turkey). I saw the young man pull out a plastic wrapped rack of ribs from a hot box. I could tell from when he opened the wrap, they looked tough and dry. They looked like cold meat taken from a refrigerator (no steam, no juices). I could also tell the ribs weren't going to be that great when I saw him cutting them. He was having a hard time cutting through the meat, and it was shredding and ripping as he was doing so. I was going to order a second 3 meat plate, but as soon as he finished cutting the turkey breast meat, he walked away. Already a bit miffed and realizing I was in for a subpar meal, I let it go and just paid for my single two meat plate. I got home and what I had thought were true. Both the ribs and turkey were dry as sand. They were also lukewarm at best. I live less than 5 minutes away, so I know my food hadn't cooled down that quickly (my sides were still piping hot). The dinner roll that came with the meal was a rock, probably could have used it as an impromptu hammer. I know Dickies is the fast food version for BBQ, but have had some pretty good BBQ at some other Dickies locations. I've eaten at this location a time or two before, and haven't been impressed with the food or service. I won't be back!

Luis C.

Yelp
Great place for lunch or dinner. All meats are tender and juicy and the sides fantastic... When you accompany that with great service, you get the perfect recipe for and everyday joint

Yelp
This review pertains only to this location (Adler). The customer service is horrible! When I walked in, there was a woman in line and the man behind the counter where you are supposed to order would not even look up, so she moved down to the register where a woman took her order. I then stood in front of the man who was supposed to take the orders and he just stared past me and wouldn't make eye contact, so I started to think maybe the woman was taking all the orders and started to walk toward the register when a man walked in behind me and the male worker immediately greeted him and asked him what he would like to order. He placed his order and cheerfully moved past me to the register to check out. I was dumbstruck! So I moved back to where the male worker was and quizzically asked if he had not seen me standing there. He just gave me a rude sarcastic stare and eventually said "what do you want"? I was stunned! I had never been there and couldn't for the life of me think why the worker was being so rude! Neither myself nor the woman in front of me had said anything to anyone . She was in business casual and I was in plain navy blue scrubs, both clearly on lunch break. Maybe it was an issue with women? It wasn't racial, as all 3 customers were white. The worker looked hispanic, maybe? At this point, though, the paranoid part of me thought there was no way I was going to trust him not to spit on my food or something worse, so I just calmly said "nothing, thank you" and walked out. Clearly, I won't be back!
