Dick's Drive-Ins are multi-generational burger spots in the Seattle area for my family. On my birthday this year, the 26th of August, I decided I wanted to try this location, the Dick's Drive-In Edmonds location, for dinner. I had not yet visited so I was eager to have some fries, burger, and a milkshake at the still relatively new location.
We, my mom, my dad, and I, arrived a little before 5 p.m. on a Wednesday. There were lines, but none too long. Distances were marked out on the ground leading up to the windows where one walks up and places one's order as to where to stand and maintain a safe distance from those around you. Masks were also required in the line and order placing/pick-up area, not in the parking lots though. The area where additional protective gear, face masks at this point in time, is required is clearly marked off with a sign informing customers that masks are required.
My dad and I got in line and didn't wait too long before placing our order. When we visited the location they did not have change, which was clearly posted by the order placing/pick-up windows along with a variety of different payment options. We placed our order, got the milkshakes and rootbeer first, then the special burgers (specials), cheeseburgers, and fries. The workers were focused and respectful in their interactions. After getting our food and drinks we headed back to the car where mom was patiently waiting for us and chose to eat in the parking lot.
We all enjoyed our food and it was as delicious as we all remembered! I got the special burger, fries, and a strawberry milkshake, my mom got the special burger, fries, and a vanilla milkshake, and my dad got two cheeseburgers, fries, and a rootbeer. Soooo tasty, sooo good! Downed it all in a quick minute it was so good. The fries especially hit the spot. They are the good kind of greasy fries that are finger-licking good. An all around enjoyable experience.
