Trader Joe’s Apparently Shut Down as Workers Were Unionizing - Eater NY

"Following its Upper East Side spot, DiDi Dumpling has opened a second location on the Upper West Side. The menu includes a variety of potstickers such as pork special, beef sensation, chicken experience, and veggie natural, available in orders of 5, 10, and 15. There's also chicken soup and sesame noodles, with prices ranging from $5.50 to about $15." - Melissa McCart

Very quick service when I was there for lunch after 1 pm on a Thursday. There were just a few seatings, but it was big enough for me. I tried the wonton noodle soup, pork dumplings, and hot and sour soup. The hot and sour soup was delicious. The pork dumplings had a good amount of filling, and I did not really need to use the sauces that came with it. I like the veggies on the wonton noodle soup. I probably will try pan fried chicken dumplings with corn chowder soup next time.

I've been a loyal customer of didi on lexington ave since 2016 so I was excited for didi to open a location on the upper west side. I ordered delivery and these are not the same potstickers they sell downtown. they are smaller and less filled. super disappointed!

It's a cute little place. Quite small. Enough for 3 tables and 6 chairs. I got the pork dumpling combo. With corn soup. Dumplings was ok. A tad salty....my taste. But maybe perfect for everyone else. Flavorings isn't bad. Soup was ok has a hint of coconut milk. Not enough corn. There was maybe 5 nibblets but definitely not more than 10 if that. I may go back

Food was pretty good! Seating area is very small. More of a to-go restaurant. Ambiance is nice and great music is played.

Good dumplings and potstickers for a great value price. It's a welcome addition to the neighborhood. The dumpling wrapping has great consistency/bite to it. I had the lo mein side which was good with after adding some hot sauce. This will be a regular place for me, especially since it's in walking distance of my apartment.

They just opened yesterday I believe so I may try again to see how the quality is. Very nice small spot maybe 3 tables that hold 2 people each. Kind of tight in a corner. The actual pot stickers were good. I went with the Pork Pot stickers. The flavor was good nice and crispy on one side soft on the other. If had dumplings in Chinatown and the taste was close to those. Mine came in a combo with my choice of lo mein. You have a choice from like 3 options and I purchase a 3 piece won ton soup. Start with the soup the broth was good it had a lot of scallions and another green that looked like Swiss Chard/kale. The actually wonton wasn’t that great. It was way too soft. No bite to it when I picked it up it fell apart into mush. Like it was over boiled. Then the lo mein that came with the combo was very bland nothing special. Had like 2 pieces on onion in it and really no flavor. Again they just opened I hope they fix it and I’ll try again in a couple weeks. Prices are decent for the area but $16 with a drink you want the quality to match the price.

Good comfort food at great prices! My son and I went there for pickup and got the potstickers and lomein combos, chicken for me and pork for him. They were delicious! Made to order, substantial amount of filling, good portions, nicely seasoned. There’s no nuance to this food, nothing fancy, just good comfort food. A pleasant surprise given the prices on the UWS. Definitely a welcome addition to the neighborhood. We’ll be back for sure.

We wanted to support a new local business. Not a great 1st experience. I wouldn’t recognize the lomein as such. Flavorless without the sauce. Speaking of sauces, there are apparently two sauces that are served regardless of the dish. Dumplings, potstickers, lomein. All have the same sauce. If I had to pick the best of the 3, I’d guess the dumplings. I wish them well. They need to address some mushy, greasy issues w potstickers. Texture or dumplings as well. Very limited menu, I’d expect for them to nail the few offerings.
