"A classic of Heidelberg's dining scene! In the restaurant of the stylish grand hotel Der Europäische Hof Heidelberg, with its individually designed guestrooms and suites, the mighty coffered ceiling and wall panelling with beautiful inlays preserve a piece of history. The cuisine is based on the classics, and only the very best ingredients are used in the ambitious dishes. Choose à la carte or go for the set menu, available in various lengths. The wine list, specialising in German, French and Italian labels, is also excellent. The highly friendly, professional and attentive service is in keeping with the style of the place. Old style classic restaurant with food to match. A very stylish space wonderfully decorated for Christmas. Service was very polished and attentive with good food and wine recommendations. A fantastic evening.

Very nice modern (green) "Summer" restaurant and traditional wood-panelled restaurant. Super friendly and attentive service. Food looks beautiful although some flaws (some rather over salted/soured, fish rather overcooked) it was a great joy to be there. Lovely terrace in summer

Food was quite good, but felt disappointed at the services for the following reasons: 1) Napkin was not provided which I think was a careless mistake; 2) the order of table set (knife fork spoon) did not follow the dishes order; 3) this is the worst part and is the main reason we did not give tip: wasn’t happy when we asked for napkin when they were serving the 2nd last dishes, waitress did not offer any apology, and with the attitude of as if she is providing a service. On the opposite side, most other waiters are very good, especially the gentleman leader was very very professional throughout the dining. In the end when I told him about our dissatisfaction, he handled it perfectly.

We went in anticipating mixed service when it came to napkins, and boy were we wrong. We had a great meal and thought the sommelier picked out excellent wines. I hope to be back some day!
