This spot is pure seafood heaven! If you’re in the West Coast area, it’s definitely worth a visit. There’s a huge amount of food, so come hungry—and if seafood’s not your thing, this probably isn’t the place for you. The vibe is fantastic, with live music and friendly staff. I loved their quirky paper plate concept and the no-cutlery rule—using a mussel shell as a spoon was such a fun touch! Plus, there’s a beachside bar with drinks and stunning views.

If you like seafood, this is the place to go. 10 Course meal, everything is cooked on the fire, and tastes incredible. You can take your own drinks in, they provide glasses. There is a nice beach nearby so take swimming things for a dip.

Die Strandloper is an excellent place to enjoy delicious seafood right on the beach with friends and family. The relaxed, rustic vibe makes for a perfect day out. Bring along some board games like Klop or a deck of cards to pass the time between courses and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. A truly unique and memorable experience!

The absolute best culinary experience in the whole of the West Coast. The his is worth travelling for. Just incredible. The food is OUTSTANDING! So unique in how the courses are served and the place is run. Note you must take cash for the bar (can EFT but you want cash) and tips. You’ll wish you had if you forget and can’t tip.

This is worth doing at least once. Pace yourself as food is plentiful. Rustic settings and experience. Enjoy open-fire cooking and seaside camaraderie, we enjoyed the whole experience

A rustic, outdoor buffet eatery on weekends only. Mostly seafood with bread and veggies. Go as is. Take your own cutlery and drinks. Drinks are available to buy. The view is fantastic and swimming is allowed. Loved the entertainment. The open fires bring a nice ambiance. The Snoek, Crayfish and Geelstert were nice. The potato stew had a bitter burnt taste and very little meat. The seating was, however, quite uncomfortable.

Strandloper is a beach kitchen that offers an unforgettable experience that combines delicious food, stunning views, and a truly unique atmosphere. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be captivated by the charm of dining with cutlery made from mussel shells and food served on paper plates – a rustic yet delightful touch that sets this spot apart. The freshness of the seafood is undeniable, with even the seagulls making an appearance to enjoy the scraps from the fish-cleaning process. It’s a playful nod to the authenticity of the experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with friendly staff and smiles that make you feel right at home. Add breathtaking sunsets and endless opportunities for one-of-a-kind photos, and you’ve got memories that will last a lifetime. If you’re looking for a unique dining adventure with a side of natural beauty, Strandloper is a must-visit!
