Love Diehl's Orchard and Cider Mill. I LOVE watching them make the Cider and HOT FRESH Donuts. The Country atmosphere is so Beautiful. The Customer Service is ALWAYS Friendly and Fast.

My family had a great time here. I love how it's affordable and offers a wide variety of things to do with the kiddos and, of course, can't forget the donuts and cider. They have stores and shops, food trucks, pony rides, hayrides (which we enjoy), playgrounds, pumpkin fields, and corn mazes. I only wish they had some more props for photos. Otherwise, it's a wonderful place. We'll be back.

Google
A really nice cider mill, orchard, and farm. We came in late November, near the end of the season, in order to get some cost and donuts. They had a lot of stuff in the shop. Fresh donuts and cider of course, but also jams, spices, honey, and so much more. They make their donuts fresh and I mean fresh. As in, you ask and then they fry and make them right there for your order. Fantastic. They have a beautiful farm with an apple orchard, pumpkin patches, mazes, petting zoos, and open fields. Really charming and friendly staff. I highly recommend.

Google
Our friends brought us to enjoy some very delicious apple cider and doughnuts. The staff was very accommodating and extremely friendly. There is a variety of apples and a large variety of jams, jellies, honey etc. We fou d the prices to be very reasonable considering todays economy.

October 2022 - what a nice place to visit and the kids had a good time. They have a corn maze and a hayride. They had vendors there that sold things. Food trucks, two i think. Play area for the kids. Donuts and cider were really good. Worth a visit.

Your man in the hat!

Google
Diehl's Cider Mill is an authentic 3rd generation family owned orchards and cider mill. - the kind that I'm grateful Michigan is famous for. They run hayrides, and a corn maze, and have a picnic area and occasional craft weekends. The family and the staff are friendly and enjoy talking about the heritage of the area and the business of working with the land and public. They work all year for us to have the tradition of going to the Cidermill every year. They do it well too! The gestalt of the smell of fresh homemade donuts, cider and other foods fulfill our senses when we return to these old time establishments each season with our kids, grandkids, and grandparents! - and these guys aren't price gouging - they have very reasonable prices.

Got some cider and donuts. The corn maze was fun, nothing too big, but enough for a fifteen to thirty minute stroll! The goats are adorable. Check out the Mexican food truck there, it's really good fare. There were some stalls as well, probably for the season. Very good vibes.

My friend and I came here to pick up some apple cider and donuts. They have a little goat area with baby goats right now. They were so cute!

Yelp
Beautiful old time experience. Cider & doughnuts are made just perfect. Owners are out and about taking a moment to say "Hi"

Yelp
This was a fantastic fun day! My husband has talked about the Cider Mills he loved as he grew up... family - friendly places. We took a visit to Diehl's Orchard, to find doughnuts and cider- it was great fun and the cider is fantastic. Since we couldn't decide between plain, Cinnamon sugared or powder sugar - 3 of us shared a dozen warm fresh made doughnuts! Fantastic! Best with fresh cider! The outdoor garden area was perfect with places to sit, eat, play. Lots of parking was available, not much of a wait. Some people brought their own chairs and had tailgate parties with cider and doughnuts. A delightful Sunday afternoon!

Yelp
Cider and doughnuts made right in front of you! I've had their apple pie that is so delicious! The staff is so nice and friendly! My kids used to be friends with some of the Diehl's! Very nice people!

Yelp
What I like about Diehl's Orchard is that it's off the beaten path. The drive there along miles of tree-lined country road of orange, red, and yellow leaves is magnificent in the autumn. Unlike a lot of other cider mills that are larger and more commercialized, Diehl's Orchard feels historic and local. Although there were a good amount of people there, it wasn't overwhelming and there were plenty of parking spaces. I went on a Saturday and there were a crafts fair and a Hog Heaven BBQ food truck. There are a lot of activities for children including hayrides, pony rides for $7, and a petting area with goats, horses, and ducks. The store offers a lot of items made at Diehl's Orchard including apples, donuts, apple cinnamon bread, apple pie, and apple dumplings. I only bought some apple dumplings that are now in my freezer ready to enjoy later. The lines aren't long and things move pretty quickly. The workers were also friendly. I highly recommend Diehl's Orchard as part of a day trip in northern Oakland County. There are a few other places of interest in that area and it is only a ten minute drive from Heavenly Scent Herb Farm and twenty minutes from the historic Tom Walker's Grist Mill.

Yelp
It was an AMAZING experience! The best cider mill and orchard around!!! They had so many Covid protections and there were a lot of bathrooms! We purchased some apples and cider! I loved the hay ride and the corn maze was fun!!! Would TOTALLY come here again!!!! Also not to mention how ridiculously friendly the staff are! I swear the girl who rang our stuff up at the cash register was the sweetest person i've met! UGH I love this place so much!!!!!!

Yelp
our second time here - donuts and cider completely delicious!! the hay ride however was disappointing - no Covid safety protocols set in place at all. no apple picking or pumpkin picking. we went to spicers in fenton a couple weeks ago -they had both apple and pumpkin picking, and amazing safety protocols were put in place including dividers on the wagon for the hay ride. the day we went happen to be their cider festival. a lot of cute vendors, arts. music was being performed by a guy with a guitar. a lot of people there. most were abiding by the safety protocols for Covid, yet not all were wearing masks. unfortunate as that is. overall it was a nice visit but nothing to write home about. not very memorable. but yes the donuts were delish!!

Yelp
The best, fresh donuts and cider around. We didn't walk around so don't know what activities that are available but the donuts are worth the drive.

Yelp
Amazing grounds, fun for all ages. I loved the shop with locally made products. The donuts, cider and apples are amazing!

Yelp
This place had the best cinnamon donut I've ever had at a cider mill! My husband and I both loved how it was crispy. I guess this is a personal preference. Most of the cinnamon sugar donuts I've had at other places are soft and more cake-like. They're good, but this was great. The cider is also excellent. They offer hot and cold. We had hot cider there, and took a half gallon of cold cider to go. There's a cute petting farm with llamas, fluffy rabbits, and a donkey. There were vendors selling all kinds of things and we got some really good cashew crunch. You can take a hayride out to pick a pumpkin, but we just got ours out in front of the store. There was a monster-size, award-winning pumpkin displayed. I forget the weight but it was huge. A fun time for the family. I'd go back for the cinnamon donut!

Yelp
Had no idea they had so many options in their gift shop, lots to choose from and cider mill is clean and service is great!

Yelp
Diehls is a great, historic donut and cider shop. I went on a Saturday, and there was a variety of "fair" type arts and crafts vendors along with animals, pony rides and hay rides to entertain kids. These had a homie feel- nothing fancy, but there is something nice about that. The shop is cute- and the kids LOVE that you can watch the donuts being made right in front of you. The donuts are DELICIOUS hot- like all cider donuts. Since they don't have a functioning orchard on site- they have this walk in cooler with crates of apples for you to fill your own bags of any variety. If you don't want a big event out of getting some cider and donuts- Diehls is a great home town option. But if you are looking for a cute trip to pick apples- try Spicers in Fenton.

Yelp
Best cinnamon sugar donuts in SE Michigan of all the Mills we've visited. Definitely well worth the trip!

Yelp
Went to get cider and donuts last week. So delicious! Workers very friendly. Going back to get more cider and donuts! Covid safety measures were in place. My new favorite cider place!

Yelp
I've been going here since I was a kid, the donuts are always fresh and staff is friendly. Pre-made pies are also very good to get here for the g

Yelp
Somewhat disappointing. Took the kids here for a fall outing. There's a barn, a little shop selling jam and donuts, a crazy expensive BBQ food cart, etc. They have a Hayride and a corn maze, and on the day we went, a little craft fair. The hayride was pleasant enough, and winds through what's left of the original orchards. The corn maze was pretty uninspired. The craft fair was just dismal, and reminded me of church bazaars from the seventies. A total nonstarter compared to Three Cedars, etc. The other thing that bothered me: this appears to NOT be a working orchard. They're pretty clearly bringing apples and cider in from elsewhere, as their own orchards are overgrown and in ruins. It was weird.

Yelp
Used to come here every year when my family would participate in the festivals. I always liked it there...even though I'd play on a playground that would fall apart if you looked at it wrong, the "petting zoo" was a goat or two in a fence, and there were bees everywhere. I still love this place. They have the best sliced caramel apples (mmm) and make good doughnuts. The staff is always friendly, but when this place is empty...it is empty. Minus one star for the time someone broke into my parent's tent one year and took a bunch of stuff (there was supposed to be security at night...but not that night apparently). Also...I hate to say it...but don't get the pizza here. Tasted like cigarette butts and had more than one napkin's worth of grease on top... ....memories. I can't wait to go back one fall!

Yelp
Went here with my little family sometime after Halloween 2011 and what a disappointment it was after experiencing Spicer's Orchard in Fenton. Granted, it was a cold day and after the height of peak seasonal activity, but that did not warrant the lack of friendliness and customer service on behalf of the staff. We were the only people in the joint when we arrived and it seemed like we were disturbing the 2 workers that were there. The place was dead silent (some background radio could liven up the place people) and no one really greeted us when we walked in. More like just stared. We were ready to buy and try and only did so because, well, there wasn't much else to dp. We got a gallon of cider and some donuts they had sitting there. Neither were nearly as good and fresh as the ones we got at Spicer's. The outside of the place looked a bit rundown. Apparently they have hayrides and other stuff, but the weather sucked and we wanted to leave anyway so we bypassed even inquiring. They had (or allowed someone to have) a table set up in the parking lot across the street where they would write your name or whatever on a grain of rice. Quite the throwback to the mid-90's if there was one. They have a smaller gift shop area with the usual jellies and stuff made somewhere else for the most part and sold there. I will give Diehl's ONE more try this year, but they'd better step it up, for real.

Yelp
This is a good local cider mill. They're technically no longer an orchard because their apples are shipped in from the west side of the state. The apples they have are very tasty, though. I enjoyed the pack your own bag of apples cellar that they have, allowing you to choose an assortment of apples in a 1/2 peck, peck or 1/2 bushel size. They also have something called apple chips, which is a sliced apple with hot caramel and nuts drizzled over it. You then eat the apple with a tooth pick. My husband, one who eats pizza with a fork and knife, thought that this was a wonderful take on the usually messy caramel apple. Their cider is good, and their donuts are great hot and fresh (but not that great warm or not fresh).

Yelp
This place is ok but needs some help. Inside the mill is confusing and need to get into 2 separate lines for cider and donuts. That's a waste of time. That needs to be fixed and signs need to be added directing folks where to go. Cider and donuts were tasty. Lots of bees but that's a given at any cider mill. There's some market booths to check out and a few animals to view. Cute mini horse. The hay ride is not very eventful. There could be more excitement by the driver and pointing out pretty colors or getting riders more engaged. It was a ride out to a place where a few pumpkins are stored then back. Upland Hills Farm has this down. I would say they need more signs anyway to point people parking in the right direction to the shops, cider and hayrides.

Yelp
Definitely my favorite cider mill. It was the first one I went to as a child and the first one I took my husband to when we first started dating. And now the first one we took our daughter to. It's the best. The donuts are actually hot and amazing! They aren't commercialized and have kept the integrity of the cider mill the way that I remember it as a kid! LOVE.

Yelp
I loved this cider mill! It doesnt have a lot of stuff for small children which doesnt really bother me. We came here with another couple and enjoyed the caramel apples. It has a very rustic, raw feel to it and thats what I liked about it. We took a long walk through the orchards which was fantastic. We will definitely come here again.

Yelp
This place is great! I love the cider, doughnuts, and the corn maze and especially the time with family.

Yelp
We've been going to Diehl's for years but this past visit on 10/28 was not so great. It was rainy out so we just stopped in to get cider and donuts. There were about 5 people in front of us in line and apparently all waiting on cinnamon sugar donuts but there was absolutely no sense urgency by the workers. The girl taking the donuts off the fryer line had two pans full but the guy doing the cinnamon sugar was just standing there. Maybe he's supposed to let them cool off? I don't know but honestly took us 20 minuets waiting in line to get 12 cinnamon sugar donuts and 6 powdered sugar with only 5 people ahead of us. I also grabbed two half gallons of cider. The donuts had a burnt oil taste to them, not good at all. We even smelled like burnt fryer grease after leaving. and The cider was not as sweet as it usually is. The cider was marked good through 11/4 so on 11/3 we went to finish it off and both ended up sick with sour stomachs that night, throwing up and all...a 2 AM run to the drug store to get Pepto. After this experience I don't think I'll go back to Diehl's. There are many other cider mills around that have much more to offer for the kids.

Yelp
Nice cider mill- donuts were great no skimping on the cinnamon. Lots of fall activities for the kids too.
