"In the mood for the charm of a typical bistro setting? At the front, amid decorative wine racks from an old colonial goods shop, is a casual dining area with high tables positioned around a free-standing oyster bar. Alternatively, nab one of the small tables in the charming minimalist-style space at the back of the premises. In the evening, ambitious French and German dishes are served à la carte or as a tasting menu. Lunchtime options are more limited but moderately priced – water, bread and espresso are included. The impressive oyster menu is available at both mealtimes." - Michelin Inspector

A quick lunch with work colleagues and my first visit. On arrival the first impression is a friendly, comfortable, nicely appointed, relaxed and non pretentious. All staff were super friendly and helpful adding to the experience. The business lunch had a small but diverse selection of options and I cannot fault anything and neither could my two colleagues. Fantastic across the board. Will be back on my next trip. Thank you.

Stopped for drinks and oysters for Bday lunch. Worth it, good variety and selection oysters to choose from (size/salt). Chucked to order, good wine pairings and oyster accompaniments that are more BERLIN local as opposed to North American style wine vinegar and Tabasco.

Beyond their renowned oysters, Diekmann offers delightful seasonal lunches and dinners. Tucked away just steps from the vibrant Ku'damm, it’s one of my absolute faves in Charlottenburg.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Diekmann, and it was an experience to remember. This restaurant offers a signature cuisine that truly stands out, with each dish crafted to perfection. The menu is small, but it works in their favor, ensuring that every option is of the highest quality. Each dish was delicious, leaving me eager to try everything on future visits. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're a foodie or just looking for a great meal, Diekmann is definitely worth a visit

Google
İt's not easy to find food and service worth the price in this city. But Diekmann is a big exception. İt's the first time here, having lived close by for the last three years but it won't be the last. The food was exceptional. Everything was well seasoned and presented. The service was also great. Something else I also value that they did is that there was a pleasant amount of time between courses. Nothing was rushed. We have tried: oysters, ravioli, Lupe de Mare and the pulpo. Plus the white asparagus. Very happy. No complaints.

Google
Highly qualified and outstanding service. Interesting and well-cooked dishes of high-quality products. Both food and wine is fairly priced compared to the quality. I will definitely come back and recommend others to do the same.

Yelp
A beautiful experiment of Franco-German food with lovely, professional service. Much creativity in the kitchen, whose staff and ingredients are mostly German, guided by French influences. The restaurant was recently remodeled making it even cozier than before. Unlike other good restaurants in the area they open for lunch with a menu that changes weekly. Celebrating their 40th anniversary in the same place with the same owner. A solid place for a date.

Yelp
Diekman probably offers the best German food I have tasted here so far. The quality is superb and the price is reasonable (as compare to San Francisco at least). We had the Salat der Saison, Braised Pork Cheek, Roasted duck leg and a chocolate moose dessert. Everything was delicious, the portion was perfect and the service was attentive. I definitely recommend this place if you want a special night out with no fuss, and delicious food.

Yelp
A must-go restaurant if you are in Berlin. I loved every second here, at this address. I can say it is the best food I ever tasted in Germany so far. The restaurant is located on a quiet street, and when the weather is great, it is real pleasure to dine on their outdoor tables. They offer a secret menu, which I think is a great choice. I personnaly decided to order "a la carte": - Fried Veal Shoulder with orange oil; - Gazpacho of watermelon and tomato; - And I tasted some bites of others plates.... My conclusion is simple: great! Food is extremely well selected and cooked, flavors are just right. To define the summer menu: Refreshing and fresh. Quantity is enough, just the price is a little bit high. But regarding my overall experience here, it is all justified. The service is nice, waitress is always available to help us and describe the menu for us.

Yelp
Pluses: They let us in even though the tables were reserved. Big amount of choices for wine. Cheap. Minuses: Only few fish dishes, no meat. Conclusion: Nice place to come with friends and drink some fine wine and eat some starters, but if you are hungry this is not the place you would want to go. Oh, this is not a german food restaurant at all.

Yelp
Very good kitchen and the interior is just great. For people coming to Berlin to see the real Berlin: go there. As mentioned..very good kitchen since the food is fresh and nicely combinated. (German and French cuisine). The wine is also very well selected. Since the service is also very professional and friendly this is surely a recommendable restaurant!

Yelp
I've grown up in Germany and this was hands down the best German food I've had so far. And the price is really okay. Nice decor, attentive service, great little menu. Can only recommend.

Yelp
Charming, delicious restaurant for a special occasion. Limited menu, but this is one of those places where you trust that anything will be good, and in our experience, it was. Nice, if slightly forced, shabby chic decor, makes it a good choice for a romantic dinner, or someplace to take the parents.

Yelp
I go to Diekmann's for lunch two or three times every week. They have the best food I have had in Berlin for the price. Their lunch special is pretty amazing: for 12.50 Euros you get water, coffee and a very special main course, your choice of a fish, meat or vegetarian option. (Their vegetarian options are good but the fish or meat are often spectacular). Or of course you can order a la carte. This is one of the few places in Berlin that does risotto well. Charming if slightly formal interior, and in the summer you can sit on the sidewalk, which I always enjoy. The food is a kind of German/French fusion, the German emphasis on meat and fish with the French use of sauces and vegetables. Everything is always perfect.

Yelp
Very nice place for dinner. Staff was attentive and helpful. They had an English menu and spoke it also. The osso buco was fabulous.
