Finally stopped in on the way by and picked up some frozen ravioli. The frozen ravioli was awesome, great flavor and texture. They also have hot food available for purchase, would love to try that next time I’m in the area.

Always the crème Della crème 🙌🏻✨💖✨Hands down the best place ever. Everyone is so super friendly. The food, and desserts are always fresh, and delicious. Everything is bursting full of flavor in your mouth. You will be completely satisfied. I cannot speak highly enough about them. I wish I could eat here every single day

Google
Absolutely fantastic.. hidden gem in the wild of Ellington CT You must go.. worthy of a road trip!!! Went back again yesterday (6-25-25) and had the best Eggplant Rollatini !

Google

Google
Wish I could leave more than 5 stars. This place is an absolute homerun. Food was delicious, atmosphere was exceptional, and what stood out the most was how kind the staff and owner were. Owner treated my kids like family. We will absolutely be back.

My absolutely beautiful wife and I stopped into DiFiore for some lunch. I crushed my sandwich and my woman inhaled her Italian sub. This place is so cool and definitely worth stopping for!

Google
I always drive by here, but have never stopped in before today. I am glad I finally did-- a gem of a local market in Ellington, DiFiore has a great selection of fresh made pastas, baked goods, oils, and hot food at reasonable prices. There are spaces to order at the counter and dine in at the cozy sitting room, or get takeout. I got takeout penne alla vodka (came w/ a complimentary focaccia) and two cannoli, both were delicious.

Google
Their ravioli is so deliciously creamy it reminds me of my grandmother's from long ago. I've now tried four of their sauces. I've done the cream pesto, the Alfredo, the red baby clam, and the pompadoro. I truly felt each one was exceptional, and I'm a person who rarely if ever gets sauce out. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Decent ravioli, not the best dine in experience Came here as a lunch option for the area. The inside is well decorated and there was a lot of coolers with pasta and raviolis. We went to the front and ordered the butternut squash ravioli in butter sauce and their lobster roll special. Food came out in a reasonable timeframe, we perused the oils and vinegars while we waited. The lobster roll was a flop. Dry lobster on top of lettuce barely warmed on a non toasted hot dog bun. It's a ravioli shop, so I didn't have high expectations, but figured they have worked with lobster before so I had higher hopes The ravioli we got were also a pretty big flop. Raw uncooked pasta in broken butter sauce and no seasoning. The butternut squash filling was puréed to heck and reminded me of frozen butternut squash sides you buy from the grocery store. Not bad, but lacking. The fries and onion rings were good. Bagged but good quality, the highlight of our meal. The staff were friendly, and the space was small but cozy. I highly suspect the faults of the kitchen are mainly due to them not having dine in orders frequently. I would stick with the prepared pastas and make whatever you buy at home.

Yelp
The sandwich of fresh mozzarella was piled with a generous portion of prosciutto. A fabulous deal at under$13! We brought home a box of fresh pasta which was also very good.

Yelp
I finally visited this place and could not be more excited! I will likely start coming at least every week! In addition to homemade pastas and sauces, they have ready-made pasta dinners like chicken francaise to heat and serve at home. They have TONS of grinders and pasta meals you can order hot at the counter. They have a PASTRY CHEF who makes all their desserts. There are all kinds of olive oils in bulk you can pour your own bottle. There is even a small amount of seating if you want to be able to eat your hot food there. I wish I would have taken a pic of my Sicilian style pizza slice. It was insane! And only $4!! I bought soooo much stuff to bring home. I am so happy! Customer service is outstanding! They have more than enough people to help you. The line was slightly slow when I was there, because she was training a nice young man whose first day it was. All of the staff was smiling and working hard. They can go ahead and add me to their list of regulars, because I will be back often!

Yelp
Stopped in to complete the Ellington trifecta. Kloter Farms Ice Cream Barn, LuAnn's, and now DiFiore's, all in close proximity to each other. I really enjoyed DiFiore's. It reminded me of similar Italian specialty stores where I grew up in Yonkers...and it rivals the ones in New Haven (the one on Fenwick comes to mind). Pasta is made on-site, and there are numerous coolers w various types of pastas and sauces. There is also a freezer w house-made ravioli (pumpkin is featured this time of year). The Italian bread looked amazing, as did the pizza and cookies. For me, the hit was the area to the far left w prepared dishes. I ended up buying three stuffed portabello mushrooms (stuffed w wilted spinach, topped w mozz and strips of red pepper) and shrimp salad. Spoke w the owner (from Massapequa LI), who takes pride in the quality of the products. I will definitely be back to sample more. And I'm looking forward to the spring, when the featured ravioli is corned beef and cabbage. 5 delicious stars

Yelp
Excellent pasta dishes made with fresh pasta and delicious ingredients. We had shrimp ricotta ravioli with artichokes and lemon caper butter and orecchiette with sausage and roasted peppers and evoo. We also bought some cranberry pear balsamic vinegar that is delicious (as the other ones we tasted were). There are 4 tables for indoor dining and great for take out. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Best ravioli I've ever had. Also, amazing garlic bread. Really, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Love this place so much.

Yelp
I celebrated my birthday today with my love, my kiddos and their significant others. We had a wonderful lunch DiFiore Ravioli Shop - Ellington. I have driven by this place several times in the past two years but i am always on the way somewhere and in a time crunch. Not today though! If you have not been there - go! They have a small dine in area and serve freshly made pastas, pizza, and grinders. We brought our own wine but they do sell drinks in a cooler. (BRING GLASSES OR CUPS AS THEY DONT HAVE THEM) The food was amazing. Michael and I both had the Shrimp and garlic ravioli with artichokes and capers. It was served with a few pieces of focaccia bread that was perfectly baked. Michael who doesn't usually go for pasta was quite impressed. He is still talking about it (he wants to go back and order more for tomorrow ) we each had left overs so he can eat that for dinner. Lol. Brandy Charland and Julie had the butternut squash ravioli. I had a small taste and it was OMG delish! Sweet and savory and the pasta perfectly cooked. Jeremiah had the ravioli in a pesto sauce. I didn't try that one but he said it was delicious as well. Kevin had the traditional ravioli in a red sauce. I tried a bit of the sauce on focaccia and it was light and flavorful but not sweet. My opinion it was perfect! We brought home a few ready made meals of eggplant parmigiana (my favorite ) and a Chicken Piccata (another favorite). This was by far one of the best meals I have had out in a very long time. Even thought the dinning was not more formal, I think we all preferred how it was set up - think relaxed italian home dining. Very comfortable, small , warm, and inviting. There was so much to look at in the retail area from fresh made pastas, sauces, salads, breads, oils, vinegars, cookies, candies, and desserts. We all agreed it was the perfect spot and a great pick! Do your self a favor and check out this little pasta shop in Ellington, CT. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
I absolutely love having DiFiore's up in this part of CT. Being able to stop by and pick up freshly made pasta, salads, desserts, garlic bread, deli items, and premium Italian grocery items has been a game-changer for the meals I'm serving up at home. I most recently popped in to grab some special cheeses for a new lasagna recipe, and I added a container of fresh Caesar salad (dressing is in a separate container) and a fresh tiramisu for dessert. It made making dinner so much easier, and both items were delicious! The Caesar salad bowl made 4 good servings, and the dressing was fantastic. The tiramisu also made 4 servings and was the best I've had! I also picked up a gift card for my future son-in-law's birthday. He's Italian and is used to amazing food. I couldn't wait to hear back when he used the card the next week. He told me he was very impressed with DiFiore's offerings. He'd picked up fresh ravioli, some kitchen items, and fresh cookies--all which he raved about. You've got to try the foods and oils here. It's just a lovely shop, buzzing with business and smiles.

Yelp
OMG. If you are a lobster roll lover no need to travel to the shore. All you need to do is travel to dIFiore's ravioli shop In Ellington Ct. They have an amazing toasted lobster roll with fabulous crispy french fries, tasty onion rings and coleslaw. All comes in a cute basket. Best lunch and lobster roll this year. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Fabulous balsamic vinegars, fresh and frozen pastas, and cannolis!! They also serve sandwiches and hot food for take out or on-site eating/patio seating that we've yet to try, but we're looking forward to it! All very reasonably Priced.

Signet O.

Yelp
This placed used to be great.....up until a couple of months ago. There is no more pastry chef....one reason my family used to go. Very disappointing. But more so, the last couple of pizzas we've had a much smaller, hardly any sauce, little cheese and light as a feather. They used to be delicious; brimming with cheese and sauce (and toppings). The counter help is delightful. Not so much for the kitchen cook.....he looks angry all the time. Meals are inconsistent there. Some were fantastic, while other times we've been very disappointed with either undercooked or overcooked food. They need a new cook who can bring back the old flair that originally brought my family in. And fresh, in-store pastries would be inviting.

Yelp
The hardest decision to make is what sandwich you want. Chicken cutlet and meatball are the go-to. They also have a great selection of pre made meals, as wells as speciality items.
google avatar

Jeffrey R.

Yelp
In a word, insane! Food is incredible!!! I'm addicted to the Italian grinder. Just an awesome place and staff is extremely pleasant and the store is aesthetically pleasing. A real class act. Glad your in the area.

Angie G.

Yelp
Had the pizza and classic Italian grinder and both were SO good!! I had to wait a bit to get them but was worth the wait! Even went back two days later for more!

Yelp
Great food! I've known the DiFiores for over 20 years , personally and working for them. Don and Colleen are great people!if you have not tried their food you are missing out!!

Yelp
Lots of fresh and frozen food. Always seems to be above average. Friendly service. Polite and speedy but never rushed.
google avatar

Gabe M.

Yelp
Excellent place to go sit relax and have authentic Italian food. The staff is very helpful. Always nice willing to provide service as needed. I would recommend stopping by and checking this place out.
google avatar

Kaitlyn S.

Yelp
Really cute place! I almost didn't go in after reading a couple of the reviews however I'm so happy we did. Every single person working was friendly and more than accommodating bringing us whatever we needed. I got the gnocchi bolognese and my boyfriend had the pizza it was delicious and the owner gave us an extra slice just because. I love places like this, friendly people, yummy food, nice outdoor seating, definitely recommend!
google avatar

Caragh B.

Yelp
This place hits on every level. So happy to have them close by! Obviously the pasta is fresh and tasty but we frequently pick up Sicilian pizza from them and they are doing it right. Salty Romano and fresh mozz on top of a super fresh tomato sauce and all sitting atop a pillow of delicious soft baked dough w a nice crispy bite of crust on bottom. If it's not perfect, it's damn near close to it. I love their grab and go selection and their cutlets are crispy and thin and have a bit of cheese tossed in w breading giving them a punch of flavor. You cannot go wrong w any of the desserts either. My fav are the almond cookies. They taste like I pulled them off a tray at my grandmas. One of my favorite cookies. Everyone is always friendly and there is a super cute cafe area as well.

Yelp
This is a cute little Italian foods shop in Ellington with a deli and takeout food. I think they might still be working through some of the kinks since it's fairly new, but the food is good! The signage or lack thereof can be a little confusing for ordering inside but I've never had an issue ordering by phone and picking up in person. I had the DiFiore Italian and it was soooo good! I put a little extra balsamic on af home (bc I love it) but the fresh ingredients were fab!

Yelp
While searching Yelp this morning for a specific new local restaurant, I stumbled across Difiore's page. Being a New Haven County transplant to Tolland, I'm always looking for good Italian food. I decided to try Difiore's today for lunch instead of the other place. I can't tell you how happy I am that I did. The place was adorable, and had that Italian import store feel that I was familiar with. Great selection of pastas, sauces, infused olive oils, desserts, and many other items. The deli also had so many delicious looking options, but I had planned on just ordering subs. I ordered a meatball parm, eggplant parm, and chicken parm. Each sub was very generously filled and topped with a delicious marinara sauce and mozzarella, and 100% what I was hoping they'd be...juat flat out delicious! I have finally found the taste of home that I'd been missing. Will definitely be back!!
google avatar

Deb G.

Yelp
Delicious! A lot of homemade pastas, dough, sauces, treats, sandwiches, salads, ravioli, definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
I have been a regular (at least weekly) customer since this great Italian shop has opened in Ellington. I have never been disappointed with anything. It's all so good, and the owners and staff are awesome! Highly recommended!!!
google avatar

Eric L.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic! I've been here several times and each time leave incredibly happy. I've yet to have anything I haven't loved, with my favorites being the eggplant parm, arancini, and cannolis. I love the big refrigerator/ freezer section so I can get things for a later meal as well.

Yelp
The food at DiFiores is so delicious and perfectly prepared. Fabulous sauces, delicious pastas, amazing Mac and Cheese! I love the chicken and pork cutlets. The best orzo salad. I could go on and on. Just stop in and see for yourself. You will be hooked!

Lynn M.

Yelp
Went for lunch yesterday and I have to say it's the best Italian shop I've been to. The food was amazing and all the employees were helpful and friendly. Came home with ravioli, sauce, sausage and peppers, cannoli and an awesome arancini ball. Also a classic Italian grinder for my husband. So many things to choose from and the shop itself is clean and decorated so cute. I'll be taking the extra drive to get great food and service!! Oh and I forgot they also had Sicilian pizza right out of the oven .. so delicious!
google avatar

Kevin B.

Yelp
So glad this opened in Ellington. Their pizza is so good. You would look at it and think it would be heavy but it is so light. Everything we have gotten so far has been great. Staff is so upbeat and courteous which is great to experience!
google avatar

Gary S.

Yelp
Great place! Discovered it while working in the area. Wide assortment of pasta and sauces. Sandwiches, Italian specialties, desserts, Sicilian pizza slices - everything we've tried there has been great. Stop on in!

Vanny M.

Yelp
The last few times I've went in here the white haired lady behind the counter has been extremely rude. This time I go with my sister specifically to buy pizza, we're the only ones in there and we're waiting which isn't the issue. People start coming in after us then 3 different people come out and start helping everyone around me including my sister. It's as if I'm invisible. The First Lady that came in after me but was served 1st ordered three slices of pizza. I'm waiting on a piece of pizza and I hear the second woman that came in after me say I want pizza but I can't see it. No duh I was here first so I'm standing in front of it. There's hardly any pizza left and we were already told they wouldn't be making more so I say "I'm waiting on a piece of this sausage." The white haired lady is answering very rude and snarky and acting like I'm the problem. Instead of helping me she just stands there talking to the customer who came in after me. Well if I was helped and not completely ignored for two customers that came after me there wouldn't be an issue. Why are they not making anymore pizza on a Friday afternoon?
google avatar

Michael W.

Yelp
Fresh pastas, fabulous sauces, numerous oils, hand made cannolis, Italian pastries in a remote location, no words. Thanks to Yelp and Waze for getting us there. Unforgettable!

Chickita L.

Yelp
The food here is honestly the bomb dot com. The service is great. Very friendly workers. This place really shines squeaky clean when they have free samples so please make more free samples.

Deb G.

Yelp
excellent food, service, cute little shop, if it wasn't such a distance I'd be a frequent customer. The best meatball grinder! The chicken cutlets were perfect, & the vanilla creme Brule was so good.

Lee M.

Yelp
Outstanding! The employees are wonderful along with the owners. They are all willing to answer questions give you suggestions it's just a pleasure pleasure going in there every single time. The food out of this world.

Anne S.

Yelp
Always amazing home cooked meals. Sauces are fabulous. Pasta is to die for. I brought a tray of meatballs to a party... everyone raved about them and thought they were homemade. Would have loved to have taken credit... but had to tell the truth.

Aaliyah C.

Yelp
I ordered the Orecchiette Siliciano and penne alla vodka. The Orecchiette Siliciano had no sausage in it. Also, I asked for no cheese and it was completely overrun with cheese. I'm allergic to dairy so I didn't have dinner that night. The decor is nice. My partner said the penne alla vodka had zero flavor.
google avatar

JoAnn M.

Yelp
We've gotten food several times and it's delicious! This last time I got cheese manicotti which was delicious - cheesy and light! I also got a quart of Sunday sauce which was fabulous. I had to get lobster ravioli and a quart of vodka sauce for next week. The staff are helpful and friendly. I love it and HIGHLY recommend it!
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
We want to Difiore today for the first time after their long anticipated opening. We tried the chicken parm and meatball grinders which were great. The cheese Sicilian pizza was also fantastic. Also got rainbow cookies and orange ricotta cookies both which were great. Took home vaca tell I and basil pesto cream sauce to cook at a later date. In the past from the farmers market I've purchased on multiple occasions, their bacon tenderloin ravioli and garlic cream sauce which I love. Their ravioli, pasta and sauce selections in the freezers are great. They have a deli counter that wasn't stocked but would have options like chicken cutlets, eggplants cutlets, and various salads to go. Lots of dessert choices. Fresh flavored balsamics and olive oils you can buy. In addition to the sandwiches you can purchase pasta dishes to dine in, on the patio or to go. I'm giving a 5 because the food is excellent, and I see the potential here. The place is beautiful. But there are ALOT of kinks to work out. This was their opening weekend so I believe they will get there in good time and with more staff training. 1.) food orders - you have to either take names, provide an order number, something. We waited 45 minutes for our 3 sandwiches and some other every rude customers were demanding their food from the staff while we still waited patiently for ours. Wrong orders were coming out and people had long wait times and were clearly frustrated. It doesn't help when customers make the situation worse though, like this one gentlemen. Multiple customers who ordered after us with more complicated orders got their food first. It was like a free for all it felt like. But again the sandwiches were great. 2.) needs to be signage of where to pay, where to order, what direction to move. It was SO extremely crowded and their were people everywhere and no one knew where they should be going which made it very challenging. People were just jumping in front of of everyone else and it was chaos.

Shuyunn L.

Yelp
Good food and friendly staff! We love their salads, pastas and Pesto grilled chicken grinder. There have great sections of precooked vegetables too! Will definitely recommend it to anyone who would like to have a nice quick dinner but doesn't feel like to cook:)

Andrew C.

Yelp
Incredible ravioli in an unexpected location. Driving by, we were hungry. What a surprisingly authentic and delicious meal!!
google avatar

Megan R.

Yelp
Delicious! The cutest little shop with so many options. Went for the first time a few weeks ago. Cannot wait to go back.

Terry B.

Yelp
I always buy raviolis, stuffed shells and manicotti to keep in the freezer. The Sunday sauce is phenomenal! The staff is always friendly and polite. Would definitely recommend to everyone!!

Tara K.

Yelp
Sicilian pizza was delish!!! So happy to have a local place make a pizza that is like one I am used to having from my home state.
