I’m still wondering how I missed this place when I traveled to Bethesda; you really can’t miss it. I went there for dinner at a special event. Upon our arrival, the chef gave us a special treat and set up stations to make our own focaccia bread, which we could then cook and take home. Of course, he inspired us on how to tailor our bread. Thank you, chef. This is a nice touch to the evening festivities. The restaurant's atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The staff was terrific and attentive. I chose the Homestyle Herb Chicken, which was so delicious: tender and well-seasoned with a bit of gravy. The mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and broccoli were cooked to perfection. For dessert, I chose the flourless brownies, which were mouth-watering. Let me remind you that I’ve said in other reviews that I’m not a dessert person and especially not a brownie person for some reason. Please forgive me if I offended you with this.  To save face, I ate one and was blown away by how soft and moist it was; it melted in my mouth. It took everything within me not to take two brownies off the plate, wrap them in a napkin, and place them in my purse. I was trying to show some décor… Now that I know about this place, I certainly will be back.

Dig in Bethesda is a fantastic spot we discovered while exploring Bethesda Row with my husband. I love walking around the area, checking out all the stores, and Dig’s location right on the corner of the streets makes it very visible and convenient. The restaurant offers a variety of fresh, farm-to-table options, from hearty grain bowls to vibrant salads, all made with seasonal, locally sourced ingredients. I also appreciate that the seasoning in their dishes is perfectly balanced—not too salty, but just right to enhance the flavors. It’s a kid-friendly place with a dedicated kids’ menu, and on Mondays, kids eat for free with the purchase of an entree—such a great perk for parents looking for a healthy dinner option. The casual, modern atmosphere makes it a great place for a quick, nutritious meal.

Google
In theory the food is healthy-ish and convenient and flavorful. Purchased the charred chicken last night and unfortunately discovered some raw still uncooked pieces. Hoping my family and I don’t get sick from the meal. Complained on the app via “Contact Us” and waiting to hear back from ownership. **Update: DIG replied that their chicken is marinated and sometimes appears pink due to the marinade color. They let the store know about the issue so it won’t happen again. They refunded the total order plus added some store credit. From my perspective the chicken was definitely still raw, it was not just the color but the texture of raw chicken.

Google
The taste and texture was spectacular and it was a hearty, healthy meal. Excellent service. I got a make your own bowl with spiced farro, farm greens, kale salad, sheet tray carrots, crispy chicken, hot honey and garlic aioli. Absolutely recommend!! Devoured it entirely 😋 My coworker recommends the tofu as well - she said it was perfectly crunchy. We'll be coming back here again for sure!! 😊

I recently had the pleasure of having lunch at Dig and it was a really fun experience from start to finish. The menu boasted an array of dishes crafted with creativity, all made from the freshest local produce available. The carrots, broccoli and parm cauliflower are delicious and hot honey crispy chicken is a must!

Stepping into DIG for the first time felt like stumbling upon a hidden gem in the bustling streets of Bethesda. Think Chipotle, but with a seriously cool vibe and a menu that screams, "Let's get adventurous!" I went all out with a build-your-own bowl, starting with a base of brown rice and cashew kale caesar. For my sides I got charred broccoli with a zesty lemon twist and mac and cheese that's basically a warm hug in a bowl. My main was crispy chicken, drenched in a mouthwatering hot honey drizzle and garlic aioli. Let me tell you, that hot honey was the BEST. But the real MVP? The kale salad. I know, I know, kale can be hit or miss, but trust me, this one's a game-changer. Fresh, crunchy, and bursting with flavor - it's like the superhero of salads. Now, let's talk drinks. The ginger mint lemonade? Chef's kiss. It's the perfect balance of refreshing and zingy. The staff are super friendly and helpful, making you feel right at home. Plus, there's plenty of space to kick back and hang out - indoors or out. Even though I grabbed my grub to go, I'm already planning my next visit. DIG is where it's at!

Google
amazing food, great flavors and portion sizes for a great place. options for anyone regardless of dietary needs and taste preferences! i also love that they have real dish ware for those who are dining in. simply fantastic

Google
I’ve eaten at DIG since their soft opening and it was absolutely delicious for months. I don’t know what’s happened (staff turnover?) recently but the food is completely different and for the worst. Someone has an extremely heavy hand with the salt and it’s spoiling everything. It’s a shame because DIG used to be the best of the fast casual options downtown.

Yelp
The most comforting meal was enjoyed at this fast-casual dining spot at DIG Where something good is always cooking ‍ Especially with their new winter menu! Love snuggling up on the couch with comforting food for a cozy night in! I loved the food and comforting vibes so much!

Carroll N.

Yelp
1.17.25 Healthy food with a concept similar to Chipotle in which you select a protein and up to three sides. I selected the charred chicken thigh and for my sides I selected mac & cheese, tomato, and cucumber and sweet potatoes. I selected sauces and only remember two of them. The ranch and garlic aioli were really good. Food came out hot. I liked the mac & cheese the most. The chicken tasted good with the sauces and the tomato and cucumber was good as well. Service was friendly, and I was acknowledged upon entering the restaurant.

Yelp
We can't wait to come back to Dig! I went in NYC years ago and was so happy to see one in Bethesda. My husband had the chicken sandwich and Mac and cheese. I had a chicken bowl with Mac and cheese, broccoli and rice. Added avocado. So so good. 4/5, I don't think I'd get the Mac and cheese again but everything was still delicious. Our toddler got fried chicken and Mac and cheese and loved all of it. Also they don't use SEED OILS!!! And that's the real reason to come here. Real food with real ingredients.

Yelp
Dig is my go-to for a healthy, yummy meal. I love the wild salmon, and the sides are quite delicious. Their loyalty program is great (you can get a free cookie or side pretty quickly), and if you subscribe they periodically send promotions (free bowl if you wear an apron, 25% off, etc). The people are super friendly. Most recently they gave us free peppermint brownies!

Yelp
Normally, I'm not a fan of bowls as they seem to be the only food presentation these days, but I STILL EAT THEM SO IT DOESN'T MATTER. This was a pleasant break away from the standard bowl meals. Love the focaccia taste and size, the salmon was a great portion, cuccumber and tomatoe salad added the freshness needed, mushrooms came in clutch with the herb earthiness, and the bed of brown rice was perfect. Service was great as the waiting staff helped me along explained every option to me, and were really accommodating to my questions. Although the place had many to go orders, you could sit and relax and not feel rushed. Love how it sits on the corner and has its own nook on that street. I also went during St. Patricks Day, so much of the street was blocked off, allowing for more foot traffic, but even with the rush of people, it was still quite calm. Great meal for those who may be on the run, on break from work, or anyone who just wants a well portioned but good variety grab and go that is actually healthy. I'm glad I stopped in

Yelp
Newest Restaurant on Bethesda Row As you walk into the restaurant, just off Bethesda Row, you enter a bright, clean and pleasant atmosphere. The food is a American Style Fast Causal, it just opened up last weekend on Bethesda. First, you chose your base, brown rice, farm greens with mint or spiced farro. I got the farm green mint. Next, you select your 2 market sides, these change frequently so you'll have to choose when you arrive. Then, you will have to decide on the main part of your dish: Veg As Main, Charred Chicken, Wild Alaskan Salmon, Meatballs, Baked Crispy Tofu and Crispy Chicken. Finally, you decide on the dressing. I get it on the side to control the amount, as too much dressing can make a health dish unhealthy. In total, 2 salad cost approximately 30 dollars. As much as other meals out here, but this was is better for you. I enjoy my greens and crispy chicken salad. I was a little naughty, I got their focaccia brownie, split in 2. It was delicious and lite and fluffy. The service was good, they were quick and responsive. It's probably quiet on weekdays and busier on weekends. All in all, it was a good and delicious meal. I'd recommend this new place. It's definitely a new fan favorite.

Yelp
HEY @diginn thank you for opening another location in the DMV in bethesda, md! here I order a BUILD YOUR OWN BOWL Build and pick one base, one protein and two market sides: - Wild Alaskan Salmon - Cashew Kale Caesar Base - Jasper Hill Mac & Cheese - Sheet Tray Carrots - Hot Honey p.s. don't skip dessert because the flourless brownie and chocolate chip cookie are too good not to

Victoria S.

Yelp
This is a great fast casual restaurant for healthy comfort food. Choices are simple with proteins like chicken, salmon, meatballs and tofu and sides like white beans, Mac and cheese kale and beets. I opted for a bowl with faro as the base, with tofu as the protein. For sides I choice roasted sweet potatoes and avocados. Pesto sauce topped the bowl and got hot chili oil on the side. The portion was generous, with the faro being well seasoned. The tofu had a light crisp without being greasy. The potatoes were cooked perfectly and soft. The avocado was the appropriate amount of ripeness. The pesto sauce and chili oil rounded out the flavors of the meal. Would definitely come back to try their famous ginger mint lemonade, desserts and other entree choices (chicken or meatballs(.

Yelp
I've eaten at Dig twice now,and it's been fantastic both times! I expected a sort of generic lunch spot and got lovely, flavorful, and generously portioned food both times. Their veggies are the star of the show. The brussel sprouts are outstanding - just ridiculously good, and I'm not the sort of person who usually pushes over brussel sprouts. The char on them with the spicy/sweet seasoning...so good! Their roasted sweet potatoes are also top tier, especially with their garlic aioli, but I've yet to have a veggie miss and I've officially tried all of them for this season now. The proteins have been more of a miss for me - the tofu was better seasoned than the chicken, which I found a bit bland - but the veggies more than make up for that, and going forward I'll just order the all veggie bowl. Their sweet potato brownie is also really solid, and I'm not usually a fan of "healthier" versions of brownies (let them be great!). Staff are always friendly and happy to explain the menu. They left something out of my pickup order the second time but quickly fixed it when I asked. There's plenty of seating inside and an area for you to grab your own water/utensils if you're dining in. So far, I've gotten 3 meals out of every bowl, which is pretty impressive for $14. Honestly, I think they're a great option for a quick lunch or dinner anytime and I'm very glad to have tried them. I'm curious to come back and try their new veggies when they rotate them out next season. In the meantime, get the brussel sprouts! You'll thank me later!

Yelp
This a customizable, build your own bowl situation. It has the modern industrial theme that cava and mezeh have however the food!!! The choices were not too complex but still packed with thought. I got the green mix as a base and loaded it with veggies such as the broccoli, mushrooms, and Brussels sprouts then topped it with hot honey. This combo was fire I have never tasted veggies so seasoned and flavorful. The mushrooms were cold however featured a balsamic marinade and the broccoli and Brussels tasted like they were glazed with hot honey and chili peppers. Just fantastic!!! They had a mission here and understood how to deliver. The Ginger Mint Lemonade was light and tart yet smooth. It served as a perfect complement. I will return because those sweet potatoes and chicken fillet was screaming my name!!!

Stuart M.

Yelp
You're thinking not another bowl place. Well, there's definitely room for this one. My crispy chicken got t had at way with an air fryer, not oil. And it had a nice crunch. The chicken was tender. I had a side of brussel sprouts , and a side of kale salad with nuts. Both were well executed. We had a slice of carrot cake and a brownie for desert. The brownie had that dense fudgy consistency and both were winners. Reusable plates and silverware are environmentally friendly. The staff were helpful and cheerful. An altogether pleasant time. There's definitely room for this bowl place.

Yelp
I just tried Dig today by luck, and I'm so glad we stopped in. The food was fresh and delicious. Today was their opening day and it was such a great experience. I ordered the Build Your Own with Caesar kale salad, crispy chicken, cucumber and tomatoes and sweet potatoes, so simple but so delicious. Then I ordered my daughter the Little Dig meal with Mac and cheese, broccoli and carrots and she loved her meal too. The service was quick, friendly and easy. It reminded me of Chipotle with fresh and healthy options. The CEO even came by our table and greeted us warmly and with a friendly smile, which was very welcoming. The ambiance was casual dining and very quick and easy. I loved the vibe, cleanliness, and how bright it was. The location is even conveniently located on the corner in Bethesda Row with street parking. What a great addition of dining options. I can't wait to go back and try other items off their menu. I'm hoping Dig comes closer to my local area.

Paul J.

Yelp
A group of us went to Dig for lunch and found ourselves in a bright, cool atmosphere with lots of great food. I got the seared salmon with a side of cucumbers and tomatoes with brussel sprouts. The others got the crispy chicken and we all would up sharing everything because it looked so good. The salmon was cooked perfectly, not too dry, and it tasted great, not too salty or fishy, even though the skin was still attached. The cool tomatoes and cucumbers were a nice counterbalance along with the rough brussel sprouts. The crispy chicken was amazing - not greasy at all. And the mushrooms were yummy. Definitely a nice place to stop for a quick, healthy lunch. If you haven't tried Dig yet, you're missing out!

Anne C.

Yelp
This is a relatively new addition to the neighborhood, but I am always happy to see more healthy/balanced food options that don't cost an arm and a leg. I ordered through Too Good To Go, and came by at the end of the day to pick up a hearty rice bowl with marinated tofu, creamy cauliflower, and a delicious slaw that felt like a home-cooked meal. The food was delicious and relatively healthy, although not excessively so (there was still a cream sauce), which is perfect for a casual weekday meal. Pick up was easy and service was friendly. There were some indoor and outdoor seating available. Easy metro access. Street parking may be challenging, but multiple county garages close by.

Yuki N.

Yelp
I usually don't have high expectations for a healthy fast food/grab-and-go place, but this place was an exception. I came in for early lunch on Sunday. The place was well decorated and clean, with lots of natural light. Plenty of seats to eat in as well. We were the first customers of that day, but most of the delis were already prepared and nicely presented, and some items were being grilled when ordering. I got a custom plate -- green as a base, sweet potato and mac and cheese as a side, and crispy tofu as a main, with creamy balsamic dressing. I liked the rich and flavorful mac and cheese and the perfectly grilled sweet potato with crispy skin. The baked crispy tofu was a bit dry, so I would skip it next time. My husband got spiced farro as a base, charred chicken, avocado, and roasted cauliflower with parmesan. The chicken came in a great portion and flavor, which satisfied his appetite. Cauliflower and farro were both aromatic and nicely seasoned. Overall, the service was quick and friendly, so I would definitely come back to try other dishes and unique dressings. I parked in a structure and walked over there.

Jessica G.

Yelp
Staff was so wonderful here! Amazing options for lots of different dietary restrictions. The line was incredibly long yet moved fast and was just overall a welcoming experience. Blair was the best, very passionate about the restaurant and their offerings. Will definitely be back!

Benjamin T.

Yelp
Great food and a decent price. When it comes to fast casual food like this a lot of places do too much and the bowls become a salty mess or a clash of ingredients. All of the ingredients are fresh and one of the managers was there to help me with my order. Chill and direct.

Kerlin M.

Yelp
It's Bethesda, so parking options are limited. I would recommend this place though for anyone looking to be healthy and not have to break their bank. I bought 3 bowls all with salmon for $40, which anywhere else would probably be like $60 given the area lol. I will say there isn't a crazy amount of options, but everything on there is good so. The place is open with a lot of windows, so could be somewhere to chill in case you want to do work. All the people working there were super nice! Id definitely recommend this for anyone trying to be healthy / more plant based food.

Cheryl T.

Yelp
Went late (20 mins. before closing) and a lot of the offerings were gone. I was greeted when I entered (which is always nice). And the staff offered to cook whatever I wanted to order. I made my own bowl w brown rice, kale salad, marinated chicken thigh meat and roasted sweet potato w a side of garlic aioli dressing. While I waited I asked to taste the Mac and cheese and it was delicious to me. Note to self to include it in my next bowl. I took it home w and enjoyed it all! Forgot to take pictures!

Steve Y.

Yelp
Really enjoyed The Dig Classic, which is a patella's of healthy food consisting of charred chicken (trust me, it's not burnt or overcooked), grilled or steamed sweet potatoes and broccoli. Lightly seasoned and served with brown rice and a side of aioli sauce. So delish!

Khiem H.

Yelp
I went here with my friends on a Wednesday. It was pretty empty. The food is "healthy" but perhaps a little too much oil? I don't see how broccoli can be 300 calories unless you added a lot of butter or oil. The grain is good and the chicken was ok. I love the carrots though. The inside is pretty chill. I don't know if id be back though because it's quite pricey.

Solongo Nicole E.

Yelp
Loved the Georgetown location and so happy they opened in Bethesda! Much bigger with more places to sit and relax. Food tasted great and fresh. Very clean inside and cutely decorated (I'm tempted to buy their merch!) And friendly service. I really appreciate the real bowls and utensils to eat inside, no wasted trash!

Julian B.

Yelp
Will be back for more. Had the fried chicken sandwich. Super fresh and excellent on the potato bun. Mac and cheese was a great flavor w some sriracha

Allison L.

Yelp
Was very pleasantly surprised by Dig. I walked in a little doubtful. However, everything tasted fresh and yummy (I got the salmon with brown rice, caesar salad, sweet potatoes and garlic aioli). The only downside is that they ran out of crispy chicken, and the brown rice was a bit undercooked. Other than that, I really enjoyed Dig and will be coming back!

Kate C.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place since they opened so I ordered to go after a workout. It was amazing and held up until I was back at my apartment. I got the crispy chicken with carrots and cauliflower. I can't wait to come back and try the other options!

Veronica G.

Yelp
My newest obsession! Dig is a new spot in Bethesda with healthy home-style concept. The employees are amicable and welcoming. It was my first time at Dig, but the employees were helpful and patient. The food was displayed like cava or chipotle; you get to pick as you go down the line. I ordered half of the greens, brown rice, charred broccoli, cucumber and tomato salad, and charred chicken. They have a variety of sauces, but I ended up getting the pesto and garlic aioli. The chicken was very flavorful and juicy. The broccoli was pretty good; it had a nice texture and lemon flavor. Overall, the food was super yummy, and the portions were perfect. My coworkers got the salmon and the crispy chicken with different sides. I will definitely be trying the other sides when I go back! We all enjoyed our meals, and this will be our new lunch spot! A great healthy option with a home-style feel!

David R.

Yelp
I have been here before and wanted to come back due to enjoying the food. I came in this time on 2/10/25, at 5:41 PM. We got the Avo Grain Bowl and the Classic Dig. For sides, we got charred broccoli, focaccia, roasted sweet potatoes and tofu. Everything looked good until we started eating. The two Stars is for the amount of sodium that was placed on the food. It was sooo high that I'm certain it was way over the recommended daily intake of sodium. If I was on any restriction of salt intake or had a heart or blood pressure issue, there is no doubt this would had affected me. Not sure who was in-charge of sprinkling salt on the food but someone should retrain this person(s)!! Other than the salt issue, the service was fine, although both water containers were empty and I had to wait to eat until I got water. Due to the salt on the food, I'm thankful I had water to go with my food. As for the ambience, it was fine but the bathroom could have been cleaner.

Christine P.

Yelp
I went for dinner on a Thursday evening and there was no line. The man behind the counter explained all their different options and was patient while I made my decision. Ultimately, I chose the farro base with salmon, and mac and cheese and the cucumber salad for my sides. My husband also had the farro base with crispy chicken, with sweet potatoes, and mushrooms. We were both impressed with our meals; everything was flavorful and fresh. We love this healthy option in Bethesda and the lovely staff. 100% would return!

Sherry S.

Yelp
I love Sweetgreen, so I really wanted to like this place, but alas, I was disappointed. The roasted chicken was too salty for my taste, the base of farro with greens & mint was really skimpy & hardly could be considered a base. The "charred" broccoli wasn't charred at all & seemed more steamed instead. Plus it was too al dente to be cut with the plastic knives. I wasn't offered dressing & had to ask for it. Lastly, everything was thrown haphazardly into the bowl, not separated at all. The side of avocado was good. It does seem popular though because shortly after my friend and I arrived, there was a long line, but I'm happily going back to Sweet green.

Sangho K.

Yelp
This healthy "make your own" bowl spot in Bethesda is within walking distance of Bethesda Row. There were plenty of seatings and clean overall. The food choices were simple with surprisingly bigger portions than I had expected for a build-your-own bowl spot. I got half rice, half greens as the base and crispy chicken with broccoli and chili-roasted Brussels sprouts. When they say chili roasted, they mean it.. there is a kick to it which I love. The housemade garlic aioli dressing was amazing and went so well with the chicken. My wife got the salmon with brussel sprouts and the sheet tray carrots which was seasoned perfectly! The workers were quick at the same time patient as I struggled to decide my two sides.

Karen G.

Yelp
Friendly and accommodating staff with great smiles, delicious fresh veggies, nice options, reasonably priced. I had the greens with mint base with roasted broccoli, brussels sprouts and mushrooms (the mushrooms are marinated but served cold), a ginger mint lemon beverage and the gf flourless sweet potato melt in your mouth brownie. Situated in the center of eateries and shops a few steps from the parking garage, easy access to a nice area to stroll and enjoy.

Nathalie C.

Yelp
I went with my family after church this past weekend the food was great we got the crispy chicken and the hot honey chicken bowl it was really nice and quick service would recommend

Hector s.

Yelp
The Food was a 10/10 I really thought it was going to be nasty but when I took a bite of the Mac and cheese I was in shocked The carrots were amazing the seasoning on it. My favorite part was the carrots and the Mac and cheese I love carrots and that carrot was just so good. The service was good really nice people. The location was really cool was giving me DC and New York vibes.

Kevin J.

Yelp
The food was outstanding. Try the roasted cauliflower...I was shocked by how good it was. Very well rounded and makes healthy meals taste good. Great take out service.

Samantha L.

Yelp
In mid-March, my family and I had lunch at Dig. It was such a nice day that we enjoyed lunch outside. I ordered via the app and picked it up in store. It was ready before the estimated window. I built my own custom plate with protein. It consisted of farm greens and mint, charred broccoli with lemon, roasted sweet potatoes, crispy baked tofu (even though I ordered it with maple glazed tofu), pesto, and balsamic. It wasn't really a salad because it didn't have a lot of greens in it. It was fresh, healthy, and hearty. In addition to my custom plate, I enjoyed a chocolate chip cookie and Ginger Mint Lemonade.

Teresa C.

Yelp
My husband and I grabbed lunch at Dig. I'd say it's one of the better build your own salad or plate in the area and definitely a great addition to Bethesda! Each of us enjoyed a Kale Caesar Salad with Charred Chicken. We shared a Ginger Mint Lemonade to enjoy with our meals!

Maggie M.

Yelp
I was looking for a new vegan dining experience in Bethesda. DIG has a number of vegan options. I chose the vegan bowl and a side of the white bean salad. Everything was super fresh, seasonal and delicious. Portion sizes were nice. Service was great. The outside patio is a nice touch. I will definitely come back to DIG.

laura ..

Yelp
We loved it!! Fresh with great grain options (cous cous & farro when we went). Kale salad was great. Healthy & satiating.

Ariel E.

Yelp
My first time here. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The carrots were amazing! The inside was clean, welcoming, and bright.

Charlie R.

Yelp
Amazing food, solid portions of healthy food for an affordable price which is already rare in Bethesda! I've added Dig to my regular lunch rotation.

Josh J.

Yelp
If I could give this 10 stars I would. A great place that I will recommend to anyone. The staff were great and the food was phenomenal! Go here, it won't disappoint!

Millie M.

Yelp
This place hasn't been open long, but my husband and I have already picked up dinner here three times. I am honestly shocked by the quality and pricing of the food, and I hope they are able to maintain the great level of service. When we've gone in, the people behind the counter have been friendly and helpful. The menu is simple enough that I don't feel overwhelmed by choice, but I never feel like I need more options. It is really nice to pick up food that looks and tastes like real food. The vegetables are delicious. There isn't a single side I've tried here that I didn't love, but standouts are the chili brussel sprouts and the sheet tray carrots. And the portions are great. I always have leftovers for the lunch the next day. At this point, I only have positive things to say and I hope they keep up the great work!

Carly M.

Yelp
I was really disappointed by this food. I was so excited for a new restaurant with healthy options (that looked appetizing) to open in downtown Bethesda. I would be surprised if it stays in business for long unfortunately. The only thing I liked was the cauliflower, everything else was blah.

Jeff H.

Yelp
I got kale Ceasar with canelli bean salad, sheet tray carrots, and charred chicken. Liked it so much that I am writing this review so I don't forget my order. Also got aioli and pesto dressings.

Alan P.

Yelp
Dig is aiming to be a bit upscale build you bowl/plate. As others mentioned, the food tastes fresh and has flavor. A standard meal of one base, two toppings and a protein is around $11. That's similar, if not a little less than you'd spend on a bowl at other fast casual places. I had the rice and charred chicken with kale salad. I thought the server said you get two hot and two cold sides. My mistake as it is two sides total. I got cucumbers and tomatoes but would definitely try a different side next time. The portions are modest. It may have been more filling with a second hot side, but i left liking the meal but wanting a little more on the plate.

Milton K.

Yelp
OMG-terrible delivery experience one month ago-then spoke with a manager-unsatisfactory response. Also sent two emails-never received a response. Now on phone with store one month later-since I never got response-phone keeps ringing and then after about 3 minutes of ringing, message says "party not available". I think they may be out of business already!!!!

Chris B.

Yelp
We did a "too good to go" takeaway deal for 2 "plates" and received one with meatballs, roasted sweet potato wedges, and a cannellini bean salad over rice, as well as a "veg" plate with macaroni and cheese, cucumber and (pickled?) onion salad and chili crisp brussels over farro. Dig has a fantastic location, right in the heart of Bethesda's "food district" and the pick up was quick and easy thanks to a very helpful member of their staff. While we didn't "dine in", Dig's interior has a pleasing aesthetic and looks like it would be a comfortable place to have a meal. The food that we had was very tasty, well seasoned, and each "plate" (packaged in take-out bowls) provided a reasonable portion. While the food was only lukewarm by the time we got it home to enjoy it, the brussels were still crispy and had nice tang to them, the skins on the roasted sweet potatoes were still reasonably crisp and the potatoes done to perfection and nicely salted (my personal favorites!) The meatballs were pretty basic (I couldn't tell what actual meat they were made of, assumed beef, but it could have been chicken), but they were well seasoned and flavorful. The mac and cheese was also very good, and I remarked to myself that I would have been satisfied with just a bowl of that "right out of the oven". The bean salad was also quite flavorful; the beans were done perfectly and it made for a great side. Our least favorite was probably the cucumber and pickled onion salad, as the cucumbers were not really seasoned at all, but they were very crisp and when you got a bite of them together with the onion, it made for a pretty tasty bite! Overall we enjoyed the food we got from Dig, it was obviously well prepared and made for a very enjoyable (and quick) dinner. While we don't dine in downtown Bethesda all that often, this fast casual place will certainly be on the list of places to return to if we do!
