Spicy salmon bowl was delicious! The service was leaning on the unhappy brooding side despite my world class smile and amiable personality… oh well. The atmosphere was a bit loud and the floor needed a sweep but I’d definitely come again for those sweet potatoes and salmon with garbanzo sauce.

Google
Good food, healthy and varied options BUT aggressive service that makes the experience totally different. Don’t go to this location unless you know Dig’s system by heart. As a new customer I was very impressed to see how angry an employee was when I asked “could I do rice and greens for base?”, “how many sides do I have?” and “Could I get any sauce please?”. The employee was aggressive since I arrived and started picking the base for my bowl, she didn’t speak loud enough so I couldn’t understand what she was saying and she got mad at me for asking for sauce, because supposedly she said “I already asked you if you wanted any” in a very aggressive and loud way. Funny thing I never heard that she asked, neither did the friend that was with me. After I picked my sauce, she just threw it into the bowl with an evident bad attitude. Very uncomfortable and disrespectful. Won’t be coming back to this location, horrible experience, ruined my mood.

Google
Mac and cheese is super gross, takes like it’s vegan or whole wheat. Everything else was pretty good. Got the bowl with hot honey chicken, green rice, sweet potato’s and Mac and cheese

Google
Dig is a great place to get plenty of vegetables in downtown Boston for dinner. I ordered a plate with cilantro rice, grilled chicken, beans, tomatoes and cucumbers. Very delicious.

Marta Martínez Fernández

Google
Ordered two meals with chicken today and the chicken was severely undercooked. Won’t be going back and have filed a complaint.

Google
The food is fresh and delicious with generous portions, I always love coming here! But lost my brand new RayBan shades at this restaurant today, must have kept them on the counter while placing the order and when I went back to check with the staff, their response and attitude was pretty callous :(, the food was good but not worth the loss of $250 sunglasses….

Google
WOW Last minute choice and pleasantly surprised the flavor of the chicken sandwich was 😍😍😍😍. Everything was amazing can’t wait to try more dinner options!!!!

kathy neely

Google
The food as of late has been burned. The vegetables look like charcoal. The flavor is bland. What happened? I loved them. The cauliflower and the carrots burned or bland as heck.

Yelp
I love DIG and wish they had locations in California! It's the perfect quick lunch spot and there really isn't another chain like them. I like the Chipotle/Cava style ordering process but with protein, veggies and other healthy sides. When I lived in Boston this place was in my weekly lunchtime rotation. I typically would get the chicken, sweet potato and some sort of veggie, but I've tried most of their sides and protein options and have never disliked anything. Their mac and cheese is also really good if you're looking for a savory treat. The Boylston location is very clean with enough seating inside and on the front patio. Even if it's busy the line always moves quickly too. A bowl with 2 sides will run you around $15 so neither insanely cheap nor expensive. Definitely recommend for lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
A fast casual spot where you can make your own grain or salad bowl. The selection isn't numerous but does its job. We enjoyed the chicken dig bowl (chicken not too dry) though the sweet potato was a bit burned and the broccoli was cut in huge pieces, and the veggie bowl with Brussels sprouts (bit spicy), broccoli and avocado hit the spot. I wasn't impressed by the freshness of the ingredients but it was fine. It was very quiet on a Saturday early afternoon, with no other customers at the time of ordering. I think this is a solid choice if you're in that area (about a half mile from the convention center).

Yelp
I've considered trying DIG for a while now as I'm a huge fan of the "walk the line" kinds of places. Overall, it's not horrible, but I'd recommend going to CAVA down Boylston St instead. Very overpriced for a bowl with limited toppings and a seltzer water-- $18. Also, not many veggie toppings aside from the base selection, which I didn't know until I passed it and it was too late to go back :/ much better bang for your buck at CAVA, and a much bigger selection. I got a bowl with grilled chicken, salad, brown rice, and mac. I would've loved having more veggie options, but there is a very limited amount of toppings allowed here and I wasn't aware of that until I passed the vegetables. The bulk of the vegetables are the bases, which I didn't realize you could get and the staff didn't make that clear. There is a lot of potential here, but it's just not getting there. Flavor wise: the rice was probably the best part and cooked well. The mac was okay, I see the potential, but it honestly reminded me of cafeteria macaroni and cheese from my elementary school. The pasta wasn't great quality, but the breeding was tasty. The chicken was flavorful, but it had some fatty parts that I had to disregard. The salad was so-so, the ingredients didn't seem the freshest, and the dressing that came with it was bland. The hot honey was a good complement to the dish, though. The service was so-so. The crew was welcoming in the beginning of the line, especially when I told them I was new to DIG, but grew frustrated when I didn't know what ingredients were offered and they didn't care much to explain the process to me. Noteworthy, it was not very crowded when I came in. I also had no idea what the sauces were, and the sauce containers are tiny! All of this for $18? Plainly not worth it.

Nora G.

Yelp
Food is decent. Ran out of basically all of the sides. Extra $2 for what seems like a teaspoon serving of dressing is ridiculous. Workers are not the friendliest. Dirty seating area. Would definitely choose Cava over this.

Comedian Jugo M.

Yelp
very tasty food and fast service wonderful people. When I came into the restaurant I was greeting with kindness. I didn't understand the menu at first and they happily guided me through my order. Overall an amazing experience

Yelp
Healthy and bit pricy. Nice and cool inside . Parking garage is near and has ev chargers . I order the Greek salad with seared salmon. The person making my order was new and didn't know how to made my food. The salmon is warm and dressing is on the side . The salad didn't feel plentiful. The salmon was okay. The staff were very polite
google avatar

Yelp
It was a healthy choice for lunch. This place feels like a cross between Chipotle and Urban Plate. The hot protein and hot vegetable options are nice. The portion size could be a little larger compared to Chipotle or Cava but overall it was a good experience.
google avatar

Melissa P.

Yelp
They offer a healthy variety of options, the portions are large and the sauces are good. Love the service and fresh interior. I got sweet potato, oven roasted chicken breast, salad, and rice to go. It was scrumptious.
google avatar

Grace X.

Yelp
Food is absolutely delicious. Tons of vegan options to choose from! The seasonal sides are not allergen labelled in the restaurant, but are clearly labelled on the website. I had a bowl with tofu, kale cashew caesar, broccoli, and cannelini beans. Everything was really tasty, ESPECIALLY the kale cashew caesar salad, highly highly recommend. I also noticed as I walked out that students get 10% off by showing their ID! Missed my chance this time but will definitely take advantage of this in the future. Also love that they do seasonal sides instead of a static menu- can't wait to see what they have planned for the rest of the year!
google avatar

Natalie H.

Yelp
Was a bit salty but appreciated the amount of chicken within the bowl and friendly service.
google avatar

Erin O.

Yelp
I came here thinking this would be another CAVA or Sweetgreen and this was not the case. DIG definitely puts themselves on a different pedestal with the emphasis of their custom bowl creations and menu items. It feels almost like a Whole Foods open-bar situation, which I'm not opposed to. After looking through the menu for awhile, I decided to order a custom bowl with brown rice, sweet potatoes and broccoli (which were HUGE), charred chicken, and garlic aioli. The portions were pretty good for the price of $11, and it was perfect on-the-go. My biggest complaint, and the reason I didn't rate my experience higher, was the service. We were the only customers in line but the 2-3 staff members paid us no attention for several minutes as they were attending online orders. Once we were being served, it felt like they were trying to get us out of there as soon as possible.

Yelp
Never heard of this place but when I was in Boston for work decided to stop by! One plus I loved is that they had a good variety for everyone in the office. I got the hot chicken bowl, and personally I think each item was delicious, but having it all together was meh. All the juices mixing left me with a weird puddle at the bottom. Everything was nicely seasoned and that Mac and cheeseeee. Whew so good

Gasp I.

Yelp
There was a mixup with my order and they were so great and professional- they sent me my correct order and even followed up to make sure everything was right- top tier for a delivery order.

Yelp
Dig is one of my all time favorite fast casual restaurant. The ingredients are super fresh and hearty. This is an extremely filling meal and for the price you get a good value. You can choose a base, sides, and a protein. It's very vegetable heavy which is nice. I love the sweet potato side! Everything is extremely well seasoned and flavorful. Definitely come here. Would be good for people with food intolerances or other allergies since much of it is gluten free. Employees are friendly!
google avatar

Adina S.

Yelp
If you're looking for something quick and hearty, this is your place. It's also really conveniently located, not too far from the Kendall T stop. I like that this spot is kind of like American Chipotle, with lots of healthy options. The service is pretty quick, since everything is ready to go, and it's easy to order online for pick-up as well. The restaurant itself is pretty standard for fast casual and there's a decent amount of seating available. As for the food, everything I've tried has been cooked nicely. The vegetables tend to be roasted and well-seasoned. The proteins aren't necessarily anything special, but are somehow quite delicious when mixed up with everything else in the bowl. I usually opt for a mix of grains and greens, for just the right combination. Good spot!
google avatar

Allegra P.

Yelp
hip good wholesome food, the workers are generally pretty nice and cheery too. You can make a pretty dense bowl, or a lighter one. The Mac and cheese is great and they never take it off the menu. I have liked everything I've tried from there
google avatar

Kristine Z.

Yelp
I ordered this online and picked it up - mostly just self service on the side. The avocado was pretty fresh but most items weren't extraordinary - mostly just salt and pepper. The salmon didn't have much flavor and the broccoli was massive. The house made(?) hot sauce and pesto really elevated the bowl. Overall, the bowl was pretty healthy but wasn't as flavorful as I hoped.
google avatar

Lindsy R.

Yelp
Sometimes you're just looking for a place that satisfies your healthy cravings while also being full of flavor. Came here for lunch and ended up here the next day too. Love that the menu has options for all diets. I got the Spicy Lemon Leaf Salmon bowl and it was refreshing and delicious. The side of carrots were also so delicious. This place is great for when you're wanting to grab a quick healthy bite or just needing a break from some fast food places. For sure will be coming back when I'm here for work in Boston.

Yelp
I'm in Boston for a week so I am eating out to my heart's content... Yet sadly by day 3, my stomach was missing home-cooked meals packed with veggies. I couldn't find what I wanted on the room service menu. But DIG (and Grubhub) DELIVERED!! I got the Avo Grain Bowl, and I am feeling nourished and restored. If I'm in Boston without a kitchen, I would DIG all the time! I loved the variety of ingredients and the flavor. Please keep up the great work!! Disclaimer: I normally like to eat 2-3 times at an establishment (taste 5-6 dishes) before I leave reviews but this was a one and done deal. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Kristine A.

Yelp
It's nice to have some tasty veg*n options. Usually that doesn't always work out in your favor, but here it does. You can make your own which is what I prefer to do whenever I go to these types of places. Pick & choose the veggies you like over the base either salad or grain & add dressing, easy peasy. It's good to eat healthy & get something that makes you feel good after eating it & doesn't break the bank like some other places. I would say the main issue I have is the tiny plastic dressing containers, why is that necessary? Why can't you just add it to the bowl? How much could be saved from the landfill not to mention costs for these stupid plastic vessels that are a pain in the ass to get dressing out of. I will also mention that they change up their veggie options since they gp w/ the season. So check it out, various locations throughout the area.

Yelp
For Yelpers who check in: their deal to get a free drink is outdated. When I asked one of the members of staff about it, the cashier was super nice about it and asked presumably their manager, but after that it was just a rude no and they didn't say anything after that. It's fine if there was no free drink, but the delivery was very offputting. We came here on a Wednesday evening for dinner and the space was decently busy with a good amount of foot traffic, but most folks didn't stay to eat so they were very in and out. We were one of two parties actually sitting and eating once we ordered so the ambiance was relatively quiet and calming in a way. We each ordered our own bowls and while it tasted fine, the portion was a little small for the price we paid. I liked the Mac n Cheese a lot and it surprisingly went fine with the rest of the pieces of my bowl. The chicken was well-seasoned and the broccoli was fine as well, albeit a little hard to eat due to how large each piece was. Overall, I enjoy Dig's food, but the portion leaves a lot to be desired and some of their staff came off very rude. I don't think I'll be returning to this location any time soon.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing amazing food for a team event. They offer you variety of options and are flexible to make changes in needed. Also, the food is super healthy and delicious. The charred chicken was delicious and the fav among my group was the Jasper Hill Mac & Cheese was popular. Also, the roasted sweet potatoes and charred broccoli were delicious as well!!
google avatar

Jay L.

Yelp
Sometimes this happens. I dont think I will be inspired to review a quick service meal and then I start eating and love it so much that I forget to stop and take a photo! DIG was amazing today! Charred chicken over farro with broccoli and cauliflower. Everything was expertly roasted with some char with lots of flavor and perfectly tender but not overcooked. This is hard to achieve at a fast serve "bowl" concept place but they do here! Healthy, tasty, incredible value... all for less than a bagel sandwich down the street.
google avatar

Bill L.

Yelp
Food arrived at my office, no phone call or notification. The driver just left it on a table in the lobby. After calling and spending 5 minutes tracking it down, turns out the food had been there for 30 minutes, so it was cold and not very good. Also no utensils or napkins. I wouldn't order for delivery.
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Extremely quick service and healthy meal! I went with the Spicy Lime Leaf Salmon because I'm not very good at making custom bowls. The highlight of my lunch was the charred broccoli with lemon, it was GOLD. The salmon was okay and next time, I will forego the hot sauce that came with it. Poured the entire thing after a nibble and the sauce honestly ruined it a bit for me. Live and learn; definitely coming here when I work in the area again.
google avatar

Kennedy R.

Yelp
SO FREAKING GOOD! This is simple, fast, and healthy! The bowl was large and hearty, I couldn't even finish it!
google avatar

alyson c.

Yelp
I chose Dig from the tantalizing pictures I found on Yelp. I was not disappointed! My delivery was through grub hub and was much quicker than I expected. I enjoyed the Salmon Kale Caesar salad. It was inventive in the spices and ingredients- radishes, kale, spring mix, heirloom grape tomatoes & a nicely spicy dressing. The roasted squash was a perfect fall side, flavored with pumpkin pie spice. I also had the roasted broccoli with lemon, yum! This was takeout that did not even remotely taste like takeout! Do try Dig! You'll dig it!

Bea W.

Yelp
Tasty wholesome food prepared in front of you and served efficiently in cafeteria style line so you can eat there or easily take to go. Clearly set up for to go crowd, this is good food efficiently served. I liked the herbs added to make salads and bowls and sides special - and not just another competitor to Sweet Green.
google avatar

Warren G.

Yelp
I was looking for a healthy meal and something casual, and fast! This place didn't disappoint. Great portion, very fresh and flavorful!

Phoebe T.

Yelp
Great food, friendly staffs and always clean/welcoming ambiance. Love their bake chicken and garlic aioli sauce!
google avatar

Luana F.

Yelp
Came here due to lack of time during my lunch break as it was right next door. I was nervous to order since I hadn't checked Yelp prior to coming in. But it was AMAZING food. I made my own bowl - cauliflower with parm / roasted carrots / brown rice and chicken breast. I was nervous because the chicken looked dry but I was fooled it was cooked to perfection. I hope every time I come it will be as yummy! My friend did get the sweet potatoes and they were a little on the harder side but overall flavors were amazing.
google avatar

Andrea D.

Yelp
I got a recommendation from a co worker to try DIG and I must say I was impressed! To start the menu was great. There were seasonal highlight bowls and a option to make your own bowl with a great selection of toppings to choose from. I decided to try the Classic Dig and it was tasty! It included charred chicken, roasted sweet potatoes, charred broccoli with lemon, brown rice, with garlic aioli on the side. I definitely will go back and try a custom bowl and more!

Natalie R.

Yelp
Food is good but wow the service is horrible. I've never been here before and the guy was so rude to me just because I was unsure of how many sides came with the meal.
google avatar

Lucia V.

Yelp
From the outside I couldn't tell what kind of food they served. But I'm glad I tried it! Very healthy selection of food. Super easy to choose since it's a buffet line served by the employees. I had a chicken bowl and added veggies and a side of Mac and cheese. So delicious and filling. Plenty of Indoor seating is available. Oh and try the hot sauce if you like spicy!
google avatar

Norman T.

Yelp
I used to love coming here and picking the healthier options of food as opposed to burger joints or fast Mexican food. I'm big on my meat/protein, but lately these portions are getting smaller and smaller. 3 thin slices of chicken breast is all I get???

Mica A.

Yelp
It was a very nice setting, there was music and it was a very friendly environment. The staff were very nice and made sure we had a good sized portion. The food was delicious, I got the make your own bowl with chicken and spiced farro. Overall it was a great experience and I recommended it

India E.

Yelp
I would really love to give this place five stars but after being very very excited to order I finally did and they forgot my entrée. Instead I got some kind of unpleasant mushrooms. The other sides were pretty good but without an entrée salad it wasn't the plan which was for a couple days of food and left my meal kind of blah

Daria I.

Yelp
Repeated Issues Attention operations management! I've faced the same problem three times throughout this year with Dig. Despite confirming details over the phone the day before and the day of, the staff consistently fails to include names on meals and provides incorrect completely random ingredients. This makes my day as an office manager a nightmare, as it forces us to reorder from elsewhere, due to allergies and dietary restrictions colleagues are not able to eat whatever. It wastes time and causing frustration of a lot of people. Please address these issues promptly and respect your customers' time and needs as we pay to get specific things & not surprise meals. We love your food but your operations part makes it very hard to go business with you. Hoping to see an improvement!
google avatar

Guli K.

Yelp
Love this spot! Lines can be long but move quick. Quality of the food has remained consistently good. They have a really great variety of options to build your bowl including the base, sides and protein. In addition they also offer a variety of dressings to compliment the bowl. I can't resist getting the mac and cheese here - so good! They also offer beer and kombucha. I wish more lunch places that offer mobile order/pick up adopted what Dig Inn does - they have dedicated folks working on those orders so the in person line can move smoothly - kudos to Dig Inn!
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
For a wholesome and healthy meal while dining out, this is the place. While the portions are a bit skimpy as it relates to the base layer of the bowls IMO, the rest of the ingredients make up for it. Great Tofu, sweet potato is always on point, and all the veggies rock. Staff move things along nicely never a wait App is ok to use and offers a loyalty program but takes some getting used to. Casual dining experience but a clean and airy place.
google avatar

Mary K.

Yelp
**My visit was two years ago** When I came here, I had been a vegetarian for about a year and I honestly was pretty pessimistic that any of the meatless options would fill my stomach up. I was wrong! I got tofu as my protein and a bunch of different sauces on the side. Service was quick and the prices were not too bad. The interior of the restaurant was clean and modern and I liked that the natural light flowed in through the windows. I enjoyed my dining experience and would like to come back again one day.
google avatar

Justina B.

Yelp
Honestly you have to go here if you like good deals and addicting healthy food. It's $10 for a bowl of deliciously seasoned and prepared food. I had farrow base, kale salad, chicken thigh, and peaches. I will absolutely come back here whenever I'm in the neighbourhood. It's healthy, delicious, filling, and a great deal. Modern interior, friendly staff, and they use re-usable or compostable containers.

Miles M.

Yelp
Great food, great service, great ambiance. Would reccomend to friends and family. Love visiting this place everyday
google avatar

Tuli S.

Yelp
Dig Inn is always great in quality, taste, price and portion! I usually get chicken thighs with rice, brussel sprouts, and the cold kale mix. It's a little boring until I add pesto or the hot sauce. They also have garlic aioli and mustard as sauce options! I dropped by yesterday and did the one thing I always want to do. I got mac and cheese!! Hmm well... This totally changed my bowl. The Mac and cheese was hot and creamy, definitely not healthy, but good! My bowl is usually right about $10.50 and tends to last for 1 meal + a small meal for later. It's a great deal for this area and the food is constantly cooked throughout the day. Also, I've had a great experience with the staff. They've all been friendly and helpful which is a nice change from other build a bowl restaurants.

Yelp
I'm not someone who is overly attracted to these restaurants which have really healthy and hipster food options ("Dig Inn has Persian cucumbers OwO") so I wasn't expecting much from Dig Inn. At best, it'd be probably be like By Chloe - satisfactory but with better options elsewhere (like places with meat ). But I left feeling incredibly satisfied and am already thinking of coming back again soon. I ended up going with: - no base (I was going to get a lot of calories/carbs from my sides anyways) - Jasper Mac and Cheese (absolutely delicious. The cheese wasn't too liquid-y and had a nice flavor and the breadcrumbs were nice) - Cauliflower with Garlic and Parmesan (I mean it's garlic and parm. How could this be bad? The cauliflower was also roasted nicely) - Charred Chicken Thigh (nice and moist and cooked perfectly) - Garlic Aioli (pretty good! I mainly dipped the chicken into it) I need to find a chance to come back before they rotate some of these sides our. The fast-casual nature of this place means it would be easy for me to drop by on a random night and eat a quick meal alone

Yelp
Amazing experiences here other than the line. Our office learned to get there a few minutes before noon to beat the other worker drones coming out of their cubicles. I didn't mind even a small line of 10-15 people as it gave me more time to study up on the menu hanging from the walls to see what was in season to add to the bowl on that particular day/week. It's another quick serve concept but with very high grade, fresh ingredients. You start with either brown rice, quinoa or greens. The brown rice has a nice touch of parsley added to it and was flavorful enough for me to keep getting. Next up... Head down the line for your "Market" sides and protein. I never wavered from the grilled chicken thighs for my meat (white meat be damned) and mainly stuck with things like the mac n cheese, roasted sweet potatoes, cashew kale ceasar, roasted garlic tater salad and seasonal summer veggies. You can't go wrong with any of these options, always seasoned perfectly....never too salty, and adding a dipping sauce like the tofu aioli was a nice touch for things like the potato wedges. I would also dip my chicken in it to give it the feel of the mayo given to you at a Peruvian chicken place. Free water glasses at the end, sometimes the spout was broken but they did put out pitchers of water, instead. Grab your utensils after paying and you're on your way. If there is no line, you could legit be in and out in 3 minutes if you have to rush back to a meeting. There is ample seating both inside and out. The patio is a nice touch and even though the place can get packed, the outside seating area had at least one or two tables free everytime I checked. Pro Tip: Use LevelUp to get $10 off your first order and then $10 off every future $100 spent.

Yelp
Great fresh, hot, quality of ingredients and tastes yummy! The bowls are fantastic and always delivered quickly - early usually and taste great!

Yelp
A huge disappointment. Went there with a small group and we ordered different things of the menu. Two of us got severe diarrhea. I will never again step my foot in there.

Yelp
Decided to try this place out because I was looking for something on the healthier side. Most of the items seem to be premade and you select what you want from behind a glass barrier. I ordered a bowl with greens, kale Caesar salad, tofu, and broccoli. The food itself had a lot of great flavors, and the tofu had a nice heat to it. However, I definitely didn't feel it was a healthy as I originally assumed. The dishes all seem to have a lot of salt or dressing on it, and everything is premade so you can't order without the sauce (ie. Can't order the kale Caesar with the Caesar dressing on the side). Despite not being as healthy as I assumed, the food was delicious, the service was fast, and they have ample seating. It also very reasonably priced and in a great location!
