The D.C.-Area Restaurant Openings in October | Eater DC

"A second District address for the New York–born fast casual focuses on wholesome bowls and salads, from a hot honey chicken plate with mac and cheese to a kale caesar. Family dinner packages and kid-friendly options bring sides like roasted carrots and seared salmon." - Emily Venezky

Friendly staff and food is okay so far - ingredients look clean and fresh but overly salty. The Brussels sprouts have this terrible chili lime seasoning that ruins the entire plate. The onion jam is so salty it ruins everything it touches. The mashed potatoes are so creamy and delicious, I just added a bit of black pepper. The cider chicken is so moist and delicious! Must order are the dig in classic bowl and adding the sheet pan carrots. So delighted that they allowed me to switch out the broccoli for it.

Came to the opening. New favorite lunch spot, homemade style healthy food, at a great price. They are really fast at preparing the meal and everything looked tasty. My breaded chicken bowl was delicious

Delicious, fresh and satisfying without feeling heavy! Dig Inn is one of my go to spots for a wholesome meal that actually tastes amazing. The food is light yet filling, and you can really tell they use fresh quality ingredients. I love that they offer such a great variety of healthy options from roasted veggies and grains (the farro is amazing) to perfectly cooked proteins and sides. It’s the perfect balance of flavor and nutrition and I always leave feeling energized rather than weighed down. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fresh meal

This one just opened.. and of course, it is FIREEE. The Hot Honey Chicken is jaw dropping. The sauce is not hot at all, and there's no fluff in there. Literally just Mac and Cheese, Broccoli, Roasted carrots with parsley, and Chopped Chicken thigh cubes with hot honey glaze. THAT'S IT. I'll say it again until I'm blue in the face, this needs to be in the FiDi of San Francisco, or the Silicon Valley, or both. Money speaks in both places way more than the DC area per capita. Affordable and cheap as well. Anything over 16 for a bowl and you got ripped. UPDATE: Get the Thanksgiving Bowl too.

Digg Inn is always great. Couldn’t be happier that there’s a location closer to me now, and this location has excellent food and service. The food is so fresh and tasty. Love the mashed potatoes, kale Caesar, couscous, Brussels, broccoli, and garlic aioli. The bowls are such an easy, healthy, hearty meal. It’s a staple.

Food was delicious. But had to eat the whole meal with my fingers. They didn’t provide utensils. We called concierge to where we were staying and asked for some and they didn’t provide us any. So we had to eat it with our hands which was wild to me. Please give customers utensils and I we missed it to where we had to grab them ourselves maybe let people know that are taking it to go to grab a fork on the way out cuz some of us are from out of town and not eating this in our home where we have access to utensils.
