Diggi Palace Hotel | Best places to stay in Jaipur

"Built in 1860 by a wealthy noble family, this rather stately haveli, or mansion, has been enlarged by successive generations. All of its seventy rooms are unique and have an appealing heritage feel, with period furniture, ‘ethnic’ décor, arched windows and coloured glass. It’s comfortable and atmospheric rather than flashy and opulent, and offers excellent value for money with the bonus of a spacious and tranquil garden. Since 2006 Diggi has hosted the annual Jaipur Literary Festival, drawing A-list writers and literati from across the world. " - Amar Grover

We enjoyed our stay at Diggy Palace. It is an old but well renovated property which offers a quiet escape amidst the busy streets of Jaipur. The palace grounds have open area for kids to run around. The restaurant offers delicious breakfast and a nice dinner with local performances to enjoy. We were able to get adjacent rooms with an outside sitting area which some guests used to enjoy food and drinks. The rooms were adequate, even though they seemed a bit dated. Some of the rooms can be quite noisy so make sure to ask for rooms in the quieter areas of the Haveli. The staff was super nice and helpful. They also offered a grab and go breakfast for our early morning flight, which was super helpful!

As much as I want to give five stars to this beautiful palace hotel, an initial hassle does not allow me to do so. I booked through their own website, were the default was set to 1 adult for a room. In the process I made a mistake from my part not changing it to two i.e me and my wife. Upon arrival they asked me to pay 2000 rupees over the booking price at first, considering my wife as an add on and me as the primary guest. I later found out that there's practically no difference of it's one or two pax, but the difference of 2000 rupees starts when the third person is accomodated in the same room. Maybe upon seeing the displeasure on my face they brought in down to a 1000 rupees extra, still sticking to policy over comfort of a guest. So I paid the extra 1000 rupees for practically another bru coffee satchet used up in the room. There was a mistake from my part too, not denying it, but they could have just let it slide considering they are not losing any money and I'm paying extra even when their own website does say that I don't have to. The staff at the restaurant, the room service staff and even the tall security always welcome you with a smile and are extremely professional. The vibrant folk dance and puppet show along with dinner was a fantastic experience. Taking a stroll through the well lit premises at night when all the guests had left to their rooms after dinner will be one of my memorable experiences in jaipur. Adding another star just for this, it was truly beautiful. So kindly make the necessary changes in the website to avoid any such trouble for future guests, and thank you for the short yet beautiful stay.

Just spent a few days at Hotel Diggi Palace and honestly, it’s one of those places that stays with you even after you leave. The property has this old-school Jaipur charm — proper heritage vibes, big courtyards, and architecture that actually makes you slow down and look around.||What I loved most was the greenery. It doesn’t feel like you’re in the middle of a busy city. The gardens, the trees, the open spaces… it’s peaceful in a way most hotels just aren’t anymore.||The service was solid — warm, polite, and quick without being in-your-face. Everyone seemed genuinely helpful, not the forced hospitality you usually get at big chains.||Overall, it’s a place where you feel comfortable, connected to Jaipur’s roots, and still get all the things you expect from a good stay. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants a mix of heritage, calm, and good service.

We hosted a wedding this December at this fantastic property, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The venue itself is beautifully maintained and provided the perfect setting for all the wedding celebrations.||A special mention must go to Mr. Wilson, who was truly the perfect host anyone could wish for. He was incredibly courteous, attentive, and proactive throughout the entire process. His professionalism, warm hospitality, and willingness to go the extra mile made a significant difference and contributed immensely to the success of the event.

Decent rooms, but overall the experience didn’t quite match what we paid for.||We booked two Deluxe rooms but were given one Standard and one Deluxe at check-in, essentially a downgrade on one room. Original email mentioned they "upgrade rooms if there’s availability" which felt a bit ironic in our case. Although we had booked for 2 days, we stayed only one night and checked out early on the second day in the late afternoon. They did offer a Deluxe room for the second day, but that was something we had already paid for.||Breakfast was good, with some live options. The dosa and omelette were the highlights.||It also felt like the rooms weren’t properly checked before being assigned:||TVs weren’t working in both rooms (fixed later)||Wi-Fi was terrible; not worth connecting to||One room had only the kettle base, no kettle||Someone was painting the wall right outside our room, which was quite annoying||We paid ₹31k for 2 nights for 2 rooms, and for that price, it didn’t feel worth it.||Rating: 2/5|Won’t be staying here again.

This hotel reflects the true essence of Rajasthan culture! We left some valuables in the room and remembered only a day later and we found them safely deposited in the manager’s locker. The hotel staff were so kind and pro active! Truly felt like a royalty in this special heritage property!

Have you ever stayed anywhere you want to keep secret in case it becomes so popular you won't be able to get a room next time? Or has anyone, teaching you relaxation, asked you to imagine one of your most relaxing places in the world and you've drifted off? Well, the Diggi Palace is that place! We have been going for nearly 30 years and while the comforts get better, the spirit stays the same. Thank you, Wilson, and all your wonderful colleagues.
