I frequently shop at this Dillons. Over the last year or so, the customer service there has really deteriorated. While there are many helpful employees, some of the checkers leave a lot to be desired. Yesterday, I put my keys on the counter so the checker could scan my card. A moment later when I asked for my keys back, he looked around and couldn't find them. I asked if he had accidentally given them to the lady that was in line ahead of me or put them in one of her bags. He said no because she didn't have a bag. Rather than help look for my keys, he just kept scanning my order. I asked him again to look around for my keys. He glanced around but didn't see them so he went back to scanning my order. I asked again if perhaps he had given them to the lady in front of me. Then (!) a lightbulb went off above his head and he turned around and started hurrying for the door. About that time, the lady that had been in line ahead of me came back in the store and handed him my keys. He came back to the register, handed me my keys, and finished checking out my order. Not one word about giving my keys to someone else. Then, he left the groceries sitting there and begin to process the next person's order. By that time I was a little ticked off, so I just stood there until he finally put my groceries in the cart. He never spoke to me or said anything about losing my keys. Thank goodness the lady that had them was kind enough to return them.
