"Few call this restaurantby its actual longand somewhat odd name, preferring simply Happy Valley Dim Sum or Dim Sum in Happy Valley. Look for thegreen retro sign with the words Dim Sum running vertically in gold under big red Chinese characters. Thiscozy 1950s-style Shanghai café—with snug wooden booths underoldmovie posters—serves some of the best dim sum in Hong Kong. Orderfrom a menuthat includes lots of vegetarian options as well as panfried shrimp and chive dumplings, lobster and shrimp dumplings, and fried rice rolls with soy sauce."

"If you want to have an authentic Chinese dining experience, Dim Sum is a good place to start. As its name suggests, this traditional spot in the Happy Valley section of Hong Kong serves up just that: really good dim sum. The no-frills setting is as welcoming as it is fun."

Yelp
My favorite dim sum restaurant in my neighborhood. Chicken abalone puff and steam shrimp dumpling are the best in town. A great place to bring friends from overseas to have a taste of authentic dim sum!

Yelp
Hands down, one of the best local dimsum places in HK! We come here every time we visit HK. The food is amazingly fresh and the staff is extremely friendly. I can't even describe which items are my favorite, ranging from the HUMUNGOUS siu mai or the flakey, crusted egg tarts. Hubby always orders the pork chop, but seriously, even if you can't read Chinese, you can get the menu that only has pictures and order like that. This is not just a dim sum restaurant. Dinner is equally delicious and we have sampled a wide variety of their menu ranging from daily soup to soy sauce chicken. I think our favorite is the sweet and sour pork because it's lean, no weird dye coloring, and just way tastier than anything you would get in the states. Also, the veggie rice in a bamboo container. Their dinner dishes remind me of a home cooked meal with your grandparents. I miss eating here and can't wait to go back during our next trip back to HK. This is also a kid-friendly restaurant as we have taken our 2 young kids here. They love the food and will eat their share and then some more. Be prepared for a long wait or call ahead to reserve a table!

Yelp
This is a definite stop every time I'm in Happy Valley. The dim sum is what sets this place apart - fresh ingredients, innovative dishes. Easily accessible by public transportation and friendly service!
