I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the prices are at Dim Sum Palace in Court Square, especially by LIC standards, where I'm used to seeing menus with inflated prices. The flavors here were absolutely on point, and as someone who loves Chinese dim sum, I appreciated the wide variety of offerings on the menu.
LIC doesn’t have many restaurants that offer an extensive dim sum selection, so I was thrilled to see Dim Sum Palace open a branch in the neighborhood. Everything we tried was delicious, but a few dishes really stood out. From the à la carte menu, the salt and pepper pork chops were a standout—crispy, thinly sliced, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned (I’m Asian and these dishes weren’t salty by my standards!). Among the dim sum, I especially loved the shrimp spring rolls, pork and shrimp siu mai, and the salt and pepper shrimp.
The only thing to note is that the space is a bit small, and it can get super packed on weekends, so be prepared for a wait. That said, the food is well worth it. Great flavors, good portions, and refreshingly fair prices. I’ll definitely be coming back.
