I recently visited this place and had a decent overall experience. The highlight was definitely the variety the buffet spread as it was quite wide offering a good selection of classic Mediterranean dishes. From fresh salads to hummus, grilled items, rice dishes, and a few traditional sweets there was something for everyone. While the selection was impressive, the food itself was decent. Some dishes stood out more than others the hummus was creamy and well-seasoned and the salads were fresh and crisp. However, a few of the hot dishes lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for and some items felt a bit overcooked or under-seasoned. The desserts were a nice touch especially if you have a sweet tooth. The restaurant was clean and well-organized. It’s a good spot if you’re looking for a casual meal with a variety of options especially if you’re dining with a group that likes to sample different things. It’s a decent place to enjoy a diverse and filling buffet at a reasonable price.

Google
So worth the money!!! The food is fresh and delicious. They have a HUGE selection of vegetarian and vegan food. The falafel is absolutely delicious- it crumbles in your month and isn’t dry like other restaurants. They have a lot of humus options and meats but I didn’t try the latter. The soda is crisp and the rose water is very yummy too. The whole meal is so healthy and filling. We pigged out. Would definitely come back and recommend to others.

Google
While the ambiance isn’t particularly impressive or inviting, the food more than makes up for it. Portions are generous, and everything was well-seasoned. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, so there’s something for everyone. I highly recommend the lamb shank (one per person) — it’s incredibly tender and flavorful. The hummus is creamy and balanced, and don’t miss the warm baby pitas they serve alongside. Just delicious. ious

Dimassi’s Mediterranean Buffet – Plano ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a great experience at this branch! After picking up some furniture in Dallas, we stopped here for lunch, and it did not disappoint. The buffet was rich and well-organized, offering a wide variety of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes. I especially loved the Lamb Shank, which was available and perfectly cooked — very flavorful and tender. The Mansaf was also excellent! 🥗 As you can see in the photos, the appetizers and salads were fresh, colorful, and full of flavor. The desserts were great too. ✨ Clean place, friendly staff, and overall a satisfying experience. One thing to note: this branch asked for prepayment before eating, which surprised us since other branches like Austin, Fort Worth, or Irving usually take payment afterward. But it wasn’t a problem — just different. Highly recommended for anyone who loves a variety of flavors and generous buffet options!

I have visited 4 of the 5 restaurants they have in the metroplex, I love their food, this one in particular has very good flavor, however the experience was marred by a hostile and rude manager of the place, the manager has absolutely no customer service, and listen to this!!!!, not only do they have limitations on the variety of food, but the idiot at the cashier (manager) is the one who distributes the ice cream, yes as you hear it, this is the first time I see a Buffet, where they control a dessert, only one ice cream per person, I have never seen that before, we are supposed to go to a place like this, also expensive, (because on weekends the plate costs $26), to be able to enjoy all the food as many times as we want. Very bad experience thanks to that terrible restaurant manager was in a very bad mood, the other Latin and Oriental people were very happy and willing to serve.

Google
I might have given this place 5 stars, but it’s definitely not hygienic. The plates and bowls were not clean. They close at 9 PM and we went there around 8:30 PM, so they were about to shut down. The guy at the counter told us we only had half an hour and we said that was fine. They have a large buffet, and the food was excellent we really loved it. I personally love Mediterranean food it’s one of my favorites. But I was shocked to see a guy taking food with his bare hands, without gloves, and eating dessert right in front of me while touching everything around. I was watching him and he clearly didn’t care. That really put me off. I left my plate and told my friends I was too disappointed to continue. This place seriously needs to take better care of hygiene. I like the food here, but this experience was very disappointing this time!!!!

Google
There was plenty of seating for our large group. I tried new delicious food. It was nicely laid out. They didn't rush you to leave, so you have time to visit with the ones you come with. I saw a few people come in to dine on their own. Everyone seemed comfortable.

Google
Great variety of food. Mushroom hummus was really great, loved their green salad. The fried chicken and falafel was the best appetizer. Chicken Pasta was also very tasty. Fish items were not that good, not felt fresh. The dessert section was great, especially the coconut cake - loved it. Yes Rose water was different and good. Overall a great place to taste Mediterranean food.

Yelp
I love Dimassi's! I eat a carnivore diet, which is mostly meats. On occasion I will have a tiny amount of vegetables and a little taste of sauces. So it can be difficult going out for a meal when a restaurant charges you the full price for a whole meal and there is barely enough meat on the plate to satisfy a mouse. Here I can get a selection of meats, lamb, gyros, kabobs, etc and at least have enough to eat for what I pay for it. I love their lamb shanks so added that to my plate along with kofta, chicken, & gyros. I did have a little taste of a very yummy hummus with roasted onions and mushrooms and a dollop of baba gounush to dip my gyros meat in. The food is always good, but this location seemed to be a little tastier with more variety. I've had the pleasure of eating at three different Dimassi's, Richardson, Allen and now North Plano. I really like the atmosphere at the Plano location the ceilings are lower and the lighting more subtle, which gives it a more intimate dining experience. The other places are nice but feel more like you are in a college dining hall with bright lights. The people were so welcoming and helpful. I use a walker and buffets can be a little difficult to maneuver with a plate, silverware, etc. But the staff was very helpful, as well as the kind customers. I dropped my fork on the way to my table and a little boy was quick to pick it up. I was going to just wipe it off with my napkin, but the father of the little boy ran and got me a new one. I was so grateful for the help and kindness of everyone. My whole family enjoyed the experience much more than we did at the Allen location which is less than 2 miles from my home. Not that it is a bad place but the feel was just so much different and enjoyable. I look forward to visiting this Dimassi's more often in the future even though the location is 10 miles from my home.

Yelp
4 stars, could be 5 but needs some improvement. The man at the front, super not friendly. I have gone here many times, never friendly, he doesn't even smile. They have gloves which is nice when handling all the food spoons. Great array of salads and cold sides. I do wish they had more of Greek style tzatziki. They have a cucumber yogurt dip but it's not the best when you are a tzatziki lover. The food is decently flavorful some things are better than others. I enjoy having options. I had salsa with sides and pita. After that chicken, two different styles. They are cooked well. I tried the fried chicken but not a fan. Then I had some lentil soup which is good and not salty. The rice and veggies are good, I wish they had some sautéed onions in with the veggies or on their own. I ended with a tasting of their desserts (forgot to take pic) which are good. Rice pudding was empty and it was 8:30 so I wish there would have been some. They even have ice cream but have to ask for that. It was a Saturday and the cost was $26 with tax. I think it's worth that, they do have a luch price during the week. Lots of seating, accommodates big parties, kid friendly.

Yelp
We went just as they opened for lunch. So all the food was fresh and everything was still very clean. For the price they charge, it is a very good deal for what you get. Everything was good in the hit food selection. Our favorite was the gyro meat and the kebab. I even like the cauliflower. And the pita bread was pretty good too. The also have a good spread for the salads , humus and other dipping sauces. We will definitely come back again.

Yelp
It's a buffet so ambiance is so so and it's self service. Not the best Mediterranean food I've had but it's unlimited and if you're not craving anything particular it's the way to go. There baba ghanous, garlic sauce and gyro are my personal faves. Load up on their meats and dips- skip the dessert in my opinion.

Yelp
Food was fantastic! But customer service was lacking. When people are spending their money, they deserve at least decent service . Would have been 5 stars otherwise

Yelp
Really enjoyed the food there. Thought all the different hummus options were great and I loved the lamb shank! Had lots of great options and the desserts were very delicious to finish off the meal!

Yelp
I don't know how to brag on this place with my lack of the English language My journey was to consume Beef shwarma and that most wonderful chicken in an oil I assume olive oil with seasoning It is fantastic As usual I loaded up on the beets etc This place is just fantastic!!!

Delicious, fresh food with a great variety! The grilled meats, hummus, and desserts were all amazing. Clean place, friendly staff, and overall a great experience

Yelp
It's a self serving buffet, with a great menu and beautiful location. It feels like an expensive restaurant, but it's very affordable. The staff is very polite. Truly a hidden jewel. The food is delicious.

Yelp
This place is such a sad disaster. Starting with the guy at the front who doesn't even look up from playing with his cell phone to enter your party into the cash register. Got here at 5pm on a weekend and there was no meat whatsoever available in the buffet. There was 10 different kinds of rice and a bunch of containers of dried out onions where all of the meats should be. I stood there for 15 minutes waiting for some meats to be brought out but the staff was either doing nothing or fulfilling to-go orders (with the meats that weren't put out to the buffet). I asked one of the employees to at least put out some gyros, which are premade and just need to be cut off of the thing, but the guy refused and went back to fulfilling takeout orders. A full 35 minutes later, after the two employees here thought good and hard about whether or not to bring any food out, they started bringing out the meats, very slowly, one at a time. By this point, my kids got tired of waiting and just ate the rice and french fries. So for $108 (two adults and two children under 12) we got to eat a few plates of mostly rice and onions. Ridiculous waste of money.

Yelp
My jaw dropped. I have never heard of a buffet for vegans, but this place was very vegan friendly! I got in line and got salad assuming there wouldn't be any options for me, and i kept going down the line and there was another option, then kept going and then more options. The options were endless! This is vegan heaven. I will be back for sure!
google avatar

Mohsin S.

Yelp
Excellent value for the money. Dinner buffet is busy on the weekends and they keep adding fresh batches of food. All fresh and a very wide variety. The fried chicken here is worth a try for sure. Baklava is plentiful and quite good as well. For under 25$ per person this was wonderful

Yelp
Since DiMassi's first opened its doors in Houston in 1992, I've had the pleasure of eating at every restaurant in their chain except the one in California. Many of them far predate my time on Yelp. With the exception of the first one in San Antonio, I have always enjoyed my meals there (the subsequent restaurant is fine). In my former review of this DiMassi's, I mentioned that it was the benchmark by which I judged the others. And this continues to be the case. In fact, our dinner tonight marks the 50th time we have visited DiMassi's Plano establishment. That, perhaps will tell you something! Peg and I have never--NEVER--had a bad meal there (or even a mediocre one)--all have been excellent! Hisham and his crew will satisfy the most ravenous appetite and if you leave there hungry, well, there's just something wrong with you! From salads through desserts, you're in for a treat. If you've never ventured into Middle Eastern cuisine, this is the place to go. And take some time to watch the chefs in the open grilling area; very interesting! Those who know me, know that I would never visit a restaurant 50 times if it wasn't the absolute best. Don't take my word for it, go see for yourself. Eat first, thank me later!

Yelp
Halal food any day xo love the fresh salad, the lamb shank the meatballs, fries and the tea OMGEEEEE THE STAFF ARE SO NICE.They are so welcoming and the restaurant is so clean and spacious. I am a life member lol.

Yelp
Okay this is really solid for all you can eat!!! Great roasted cauliflower, gyro, and falafels. Everything else is pretty good too. I'm a suckered for buffets. We had a cute baby shower event here, and the space is pretty great for little groups!

Carly S.

Yelp
I have been a loyal patron of Dimassis and have brought friends and family over the years. The food is always fresh and healthy. I love the options from meats to an entire side of vegetarian options. Try the cinnamon tea and rose water! There are also a variety of breads and dessert options. If you're sticking to healthy or dietary restrictions, this buffet serves any need. Lebanese cuisine is excellent! The Location has ample seating and beautifully decorated. Ambience is calm. Service is always kind and accomodating.

Yelp
What a great place! I'm sorry no pictures, I was too busy eating all the delicious food. I love Mediterranean food, and the fact this was a buffet was just amazing. All the dishes were high-quality, looked and tasted amazing. They had a great assortment of vegetarian dishes, meat, dishes and a few desserts. Unfortunately I was too full to have dessert because I got too excited with the rest of the food. The establishment is clean, light and has a lot of room to accommodate a crowd of any size. Don't forget to ring the bell for a lamb shank!
google avatar

Christa M.

Yelp
First time trying Mediterranean buffet and it was a great experience. Went with a friend around 6:45pm on a week night. The dining room was about 1/4 full of guests. The buffet had many vegetarian options. I was pleased with the freshness, quality and taste. I recommend anyone wanting a good buffet to try.

Yelp
Do you LOVE Mediterranean food? ME TOO!!! So, let's talk Dimassi. Sunday afternoon after Church, we were in the mood for some Mediterranean Food in the Frisco area, and our search lead us to Dimassi. Dimassi is a Buffet-Style Mediterranean eatery and delivers on both Great Food and Great Service! Whatever you are in the mood for, they pretty much offer. A U shaped buffet area, maps the establishment with Hot Entree, Sides, and Breads on your left, Beverages to the rear, and Cold Salad and Desserts to the right. Dimassi offers al minimum of 8 meats and traditional entree options, with something for everyone. Fresh baked bread and beautifully arranged vegetables, are guaranteed to have you salivating on site! If your partially to a well stocked Salad Bar; they got you covered. Marinated Beets, Tabouli, and other fresh salad ingredients. They also have a variety of Hummus, Baba Ghanoush, and Labneh, just to name a few. What really impressed me was hope CLEAN everything was maintained. At the start of the buffett line, they even offer disposable gloves as added safety to their guests. The staff was very friendly and readily available for any questions you may have. For someone who is not a big fan of buffet spots, this place is any buffet Titan's fantasy! Check it out!!!

Yelp
Good selection for a decent price, particularly during the week. Not really the best maintained buffet I'd ever seen, but the food is tasty.
google avatar

Yelp
Dimassi's has always been a staple choice for us, but the food today is incredible!!! The salads were delicious as always, but the hot food was particularly tasty today. What a way to bring in the New Year!!! You gotta come.

Yelp
Title: Rude service, missing items, wasted trip and the most humiliating experience for buying food from Dimassi's: I ordered a large hummus from Dimassi's through Postmates and their Postmates menu clearly says it comes with four pita breads. The driver showed up with only the hummus and explained the restaurant hadn't provided any pita. When I phoned the restaurant, the person who answered said the only way to get the missing bread was to drive over myself--no apology, no offer to redeliver. He did promise "a free meal next time," but that didn't help me in the moment. So I paused my work, drove ~20 minutes, and walked in with my receipt in hand. The employee at the counter looked me up and down, scolded me for arriving "too early," and claimed pita wasn't included because it wasn't printed on the receipt. I showed him the Postmates menu on my phone and even took a screenshot. Only then did he grudgingly hand over the pita--and he snatched the receipt back from me while doing it. In the end, I spent nearly $20 (item, fees, taxes, tip) for a $9 dish, plus my own gas and time, and was treated disrespectfully the entire way. I won't be ordering from this Dimassi's again, and I'd urge anyone who values basic courtesy--and receiving the food you actually paid for--to think twice.

Yelp
Our favorite Mediterranean buffet for years, Food is delicious They fill the trays continuously Staff are always friendly
google avatar

Dan G.

Yelp
The food at Dimassi is great! The food is flavorful and there are a lot of options for vegans and vegetarians as well. It is a buffet so it is self serve though the staff does work hard to keep food and on the trays and they come around to pick up your empty plates. There is a lot of space so it can get very lively here. It is great for groups or parties. Plenty of parking because of the shops that are in the area so no need to worry about that. The restrooms are nice and clean too. Make sure you keep room for desserts because they are tasty!
google avatar

Yelp
Dimassi's is one of my favorite places to eat! It's full of healthy and delicious mediterranean food, with buffet extras like soft drinks, coffee, hot tea and ice cream. The food here is the BEST including the falafel, which is more tender than any other falafel. They have an array of meats like chicken, fish and lamb, sauces like hummus and tzatziki, delicious grilled veggies, fresh salads. It's both vegetarian friendly and low carb friendly. This location has better food than the other locations. The building is on the new side, and it's spacious and comfortable. We always have a good experience. Dimassi's is fast, healthy, and delicious. What more could you ask?

Joseph R.

Yelp
This is the second time I've been to this location. I didn't have a good experience the first time, but decided to give it another try hoping the first time was a one-off. The inside is pretty clean and for the most part the food tasted good. It's buffet, so there is no table service. Nobody came by at all to collect empty plates. As with the first visit, I became very ill shortly afterwards. I'm not sure what it was, but ate mostly gyro meat, kebabs, lamb shank, meatballs and hummus. Tried one piece of fried fish and one fried chicken wing. This is the first Mediterranean place I've been to where I've had this bad reaction to the food. With all of those alternatives out there I have to pass on Dimassi's.

Salah A.

Yelp
Don't let anyone fool you the food there is horrible compared to they're other locations even the sauce dosent taste the same.

P P.

Yelp
If you are really hungry and want to eat a nice variety of Mediterranean foods then this is the place to be.. It's a large buffet and with pretty much the same items on the menu for years. However the restaurant maintains consistency and food tastes good. If you are looking for a high end restaurant then this isn't it for you, but if you like buffets then you will love this place.
google avatar

Catherine T.

Yelp
Photo doesn't even include the drink, breads and dessert aisle. I've never been a fan of Tabouli or Arugula Salad but HERE, IT'S AMAZING! Plenty of options for everyone's tastes! Oh, I had never tried the drink "Rose Water" but it too was surprisingly good! Definitely coming here OFTEN! Total cost was a bit higher than expected for lunch.
google avatar

Sara H.

Yelp
Have tried the Richardson and Allen locations but this one is my favorite. It is a very large and busy location, the food is very fresh. A lot of different options along with lamb shank (have to ask for it, one per person). The lamb shank is very large so it can also be shared between 2 or 3 people.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of Mediterranean food, and this place did not disappoint. My son and I decided to try this place out since we love Mediterranean food and to make it better, this place is local. I can't begin to name the food items that were on display, but there were so many and I will continue coming back to try new entrees. Everything from curry kebabs, two different types of chicken and shredded beef, all cooked in a Mediterranean fashion. I built a gigantic plate even though I could go back again, my son did the same. Everything from beef to chicken and rice, I found myself stuffed after only one plate. As I said before, there were so many different entrées, I didn't know what to try. I tried to grab some of everything, but of course had to get the hummus and it was delicious. Unlimited pita bread as well, it doesn't get any better than this. The pita bread was warm and fluffy, just like its supposed to be! Even though I was stuffed, I still walked to the Buffet one last time for four nice pieces of baklava. It did not disappoint. I could have honestly eaten another one, but I knew I was full and didn't want to get too crazy. I think this place has a definite spot in the Mediterranean cuisine category, it's a large, has a large variety of food, and someone is always there stirring and moving the food around for us. I can't wait to go back and enjoy many more hidden treasures in this awesome buffet!!
google avatar

Tommy N.

Yelp
Always great food here for the hungry person that's wants a taste of the Mediterranean!
google avatar

Frank S.

Yelp
Here you'll find all of your Mediterranean favorites. Great place too if you're on a vegetarian diet. The deserts were a nice treat to end the meal. The baklava pastries were a favorite, flaky and full of walnuts and drenched in honey. You pay when you first come in, then grab a plate and get in line. Prices are very reasonable at $21 on weekends and cheaper during the week and cheaper for lunch. It was packed the weekend we went, lots of families and many customers with a Mediterranean heritage. It was good and good value, but we will probably never be back. Just not big on buffets and the cafeteria style ambience.

Yelp
This place is really good. Was here with my family, friends and relatives cause my cousin had just gotten married. They served us well. Especially the face we had little once, so they had chairs for them as well. The food was delicious and tasty

Yelp
I will give Dimassi's respect for being a big bang for the buck. As well it is nice that the place is very wide and specious and reasonably clean. Food wise If I will be nice I'd say it is mediocre. There are a couple of Gems like the these small fluffy Pitas, falafel . Bit most of it is just not up to par. Most of the meat is very dry, a result of sitting in the buffet heater for hours. So is the hummus that was literally sour which means spoiled. Quantity of Quality is the moto for sure.
google avatar

Keven W.

Yelp
We went here as we were driving to the Allen Premium outlets and my wife wanted Mediterranean buffet. We decided to give this place a try. Weekdays buffet is $14.47 and weekend is around $18.47. The buffet and inside is a cafeteria like style and has a really nice atmosphere. I been to 4 Mediterranean buffets in Dallas and this one is my favorite. There is a lot of food selection here compared to the other ones. One thing to note is you need to handle the food with plastic gloves which they provide and sanitize your hands. I did not see some people not follow it, but then again they only have one sign which is in the front of the line. Now my review on the food. The greens are really nice and has a nice selection of salad. I enjoyed the cabbage the most. I tried the hummus avocado, typical and the spicy one. I tried the tzatziki sauce and Tahini as well which was pretty watery. I did not care too much for the hummus as the one at Ali Baba is the best one I had so far. The chicken overall is great and was not dry as you find at most places. The fried chicken was awesome, but once you eat more, it gets to be really salty. I enjoyed the lamb as well. The beef was very salty. I did not try any of the fish however. One thing that was great was the pizza, definitely try a slice as I had three of them. Drink selection was great as they had soda, but I like the tamarind juice as I had three cups full. They also have coffee too. Desserts they had a great selection. I did not care for the coconut one as it was hard as a rock. They had this pink dessert and the rice one. They had baklivia but it was pure sugar. The ice cream machine was good. Overall, my impression of this place was great and would definitely come back again. They have many chains in the Dallas area, but this one is a pretty good size and you do not full cramped in there. Lots of selection here.

Jordan Y.

Yelp
There was a lot of variety and most of the food isn't too heavy. I ate quite a bit and still felt fine afterwards. The ambiance was very relaxed and the interior was very nice.

Yelp
I have been to this location more than a few times. But this time was the first time I had ever got it delivered ( Uber Eats ). I'm not sure what I expected but I was pretty blown away. I ordered sides because I wanted a little bit of everything. But I had no idea the main I ordered would be so much food. I literally had enough for 3 really good size meals so far and I still have some left. Everything was as fresh and tasty as eating at the restaurant. Please excuse the bad pics. Once I opened the containers and saw the bounty I was ready to throw down.

Yelp
I've eaten Dimassi's in 3-4 different locations. I wasn't aware of their location near Grapevine Mills, so that was good to find. I'm a fan. The food is really good for a buffet. It's flavorful and they maintain the textures well. Lots to choose from. Decent price for AYCE. I recommend it.

Yelp
Great place for a quick meal but not healthy. The tables were full of dirty plates very few tables were actually available. The host not friendly at all. Not the best selection for Greek. The chicken kebab was overcooked and the fried chicken wasn't the best either. Greek options go further than fried chicken ‍ Decent salad varieties. $20 per person for unlimited food if your hungry.Other branches have mint this didn't which was just the final nail

Yelp
My family loves coming to eat here! They have things labeled well for my gluten intolerant child. They have great variety and it is always clean. We like to come during the week when it is cheaper but over all, the price can't be beat for the amount of food and quality of food.

Yelp
Food tastes great here ! Front desk answers the phone all the time. I've been to other Dimassi's locations, this one in Plano beats all the other ones by the right food taste.
