We LOVE Diamond Slice! My daughter goes around telling people it’s the best pizza ever, and she had been to Italy! 🤣 employees are always super nice here and the pizza is A++ doing my part to make sure this gem is here for years to come!

I’m pissed, I went and purchased 2 pies and they were filled with fine hair!! The people over the phone were very rude and condescending about the entire situation and then tried to short change me. I’m writing this review for whom ever eats there, ALWAYS THOROUGHLY CHECK YOUR PIES!!!!

As a AC Transit bus operator this place is so convenient. Best customer service I’ve seen here in Oakland. Being able to eat and use a clean restroom here as made my work day better. Santiago who helps at the register is amazing and very handsome. Thank you all for your great service ♥️💋

The five stars for atmosphere are all about the staff, who are generous, have a great sense of community and humor. Last night is a perfect example, when I'd driven from the airport straight to Dimond to pick up a pizza. An unclaimed salad must've been hanging around, which I was offered for free. I woke up with a sore throat today, so figuring out dinner wasn't high on my list. Seeing that fresh salad waiting for me in the fridge put a smile on my face and in my heart. Thank you, Dimond Slice folks!

The pizza is as wonderful as the people working here. You have to come eat here. Great fun for all ages!

sourdough crust with pizza is genuinely the best thing out of this generation. pizza is oily which might not be everyone's thing but they make it work. the cashier is always so nice and gives me extra green sauce, knowing i'll eat one sauce per slice (im a bit obsessed) perfect for takeout or a late night slice. i recommend the pizza of the day, you can never really go wrong with it, i never would've expected to like corn on pizza but now it's my favorite topping :D

Dimond Slice has the best thin crust pizzas! I highly recommend it. Very crispy and flavorful, and their green sauce has a nice kick to it. The best part is that I can enjoy pizza without experiencing a food coma :). When I went to pick up, they heated up the pizza so that it was fresh and hot. There were plenty of seats to sit on a weekday afternoon. But in my opinion, the ambiance didn't have sufficient lighting for dining in.

While delivering a rescue kitten to its forever home, we were graciously given todays (street corn) pizza. My first impression was it's very similar to Arizmendi but, I think i like this better. The pizza is very fresh and tasty. Plus i love the green sauce on top. Yay! Ive found a new pizza place.

Fresh Zucchini on a Pizza? Seriously? I had to check it out: Sure enough, they tried to justify this monstrous vegetable. Fresh Zucchini, Red Onion, Sundried Tomato Pesto, Mozzarella, Bulgarian Feta Cheese, Italian Parsley, Garlic Olive Oil. They got me again, it was good. I was going to shock them with a second visit in one week, so voilà, I popped in on a hot day for: Medley Tomatoes, Fresh Corn, Mozzarella, Pecorino Cheese, Fresh Basil, Garlic Olive Oil. I love Pecorino cheese in anything. Sure enough, it was excellent. I try not to be a total fanboy. I criticize to them directly on a few things I don't like, like fruit on a Pizza! Good grief. Apparently people like them, go figure. Too much cheese on a Pizza slice? I absolutely, positively, hate it. When I lift a slice, I don't part of it to droop or slather all over my mouth. I mentioned it to them... no, I complained. They had a solution. Just ask them for less cheese and gave me a pro tip, "Make it crispy." Problem solved. Now it is my regular add on, "make it crispy." These folks accommodate and listen to your personal preferences. A nice group of folk run and work in this Pizza place. I recommend it. Again. I have to look at my past photos to dredge up two epic pizzas... one of these days. I am lazy.

Their gluten free and vegan pizza is good. I got the Pizza of the day as a vegan and GF pizza. It would be better if they offered more topping options for vegan pizzas. The pesto sauce is pretty good, but I'm not sure if it's vegan. If not, it would be cool if they had a vegan option pesto sauce. The service was pretty fast

Some of the best pizza around next to Arizmendi and Cheeseboard Both the vegan and vegetarian pizzas were so good, not too salty, good flavor balance. Dough was thin with a good crisp and chew texture. Honestly we'll probably be back sometime soon, can't go wrong and everyone loves it!

Love going here for a quick slice for lunch. The service and staff are always so kind and great conversationalist. The green sauce I could eat everyday. My favorite days are when they have corn pizza with the lime it's sooo good! You have to eat this hot or within 5-10 minutes of getting it after that it's kind of like cardboard but ofc you can reheat it but it's just not the same. Ordered through DoorDash and ordered a tub of green sauce too. Never thought I'd like vegetarian pizza but this place has me hooked! The owner and staff are all so kind it's hard to walk in here and have a bad day when you greeted with the biggest smiles. The inside is clean, tons of seating and the place is overall pretty big, could fit two little league teams in there.

My daughter has continued our Pizza Friday dinner with her family and they do Diamond Slice. It's close by and they do a constantly changing array of vegan and vegetarian pizza. I'm a traditional pepperoni pizza kind of guy, but some combos that Diamond Slice comes up with are downright tasty. They do a nice thin crust. We've picked up slices at lunch, done take out for dinner and ordered pies for birthdays and other events. And leftovers taste just as good as fresh. (Always love to know there's leftover pizza in the freezer.) Staff is helpful and friendly. A real quality piece of pizza. Try it, you'll love it.

Back again and this time I brought Sis. We shared half/half Thursday & Friday. Sis wasn't a believer because this is a vegetarian spot but after the first bite she was a convert! Asparagus, artichoke, mozzarella, feta, parsley, lemon zest and garlic olive oil (Thursday). Sis loved each bite and will return. I was also able to introduce Sis to Mz Gloria who as usual is always a gem. Her smile is as pleasant and sweet as she is. Thank you for always being kind

Suuuuccchh good pizza. Even the gluten free version has great dough which seems a heavy lift. But the regular pizza is my typical go to and is officially WTCC (worth the carb calories). I also adore their green dipping sauce and the bonus slice when you order a whole pizza is a crowd pleaser. Wonderful little home grown business!

Something about that sourdough crust and green sauce just hits the spot. As like cheeseboard, they have a rotating daily menu. Sometimes even asking for extra crispy, it's still not crispy enough so we particularly Iike to reheat it in the oven for that extra crunch. Easy parking lot in the rear with rear entrance as well. Lots of seating inside. Def better than the old McDonald's ha!

Really solid pizza. Green sauce is also good. Staff are all very friendly.. my only suggestions are pls add a compost bin for green waste. Saw a bunch of pizza boxes in trash. They can be composted. Also, dispense of the hand blower in the bathroom..they are unsanitary and just blow germs around. Also, how do you pull the bathroom door handle to get out without touching unclean surface???.please add paper towels dispenser.

Talk about a diamond in the rough. Dimond Slice Pizza makes legit thin crust pies in Oakland. Founded by two Cheese Board Collective alums, you know they've done their time and paid their dues. Everyday there's the choice of one seasonal specialty, plain cheese, always vegetarian and with equivalent vegan alternatives, furnished by Butcher's Son cheese. I happened to catch this summery fresh corn, chile pasilla, onion, lime, cilantro, and garlic combo. Point blank, if you like pizza and vegetables, you'll like this slice. While it's the luck of the draw for what toppings you'll find on any given day, it's a refreshing change of pace for anyone that suffers from dinner indecision. Plus, it forces you to try something new every now and then.

I love that we have this place in the neighborhood. Besides having great vegetarian pizzas (I love the ones with corn and cotija!), their green sauce is the best. You can buy a little tub of it for just $3. And sometimes, if I get there close to closing, they end up sending me out with an extra free pizza. Whatever imperfections they say it has, I guess I am not enough of a pizza sophisticate to notice. Another reason I love coming in here is that the owner always calls me baby girl. I am in my late forties and feel like a little kid who just wants her to be my mom every time I go in there. I love you, Pizza Mom!

This place is nice. They have changing pizza of the days, so you just have to check what they have the day of going. It's super casual. They also make their own hot green sauce which is really good if you like garlic! The staff is really friendly and the pizza is good!

It's simple - veggie pizza with a variety of toppings and combinations. No you can't order what you want, but you don't need to - it's already done right just for you! The same one all day. It's delicious, haven't had a bad one and I've tried a bunch. Sometimes they have yesterday's pizza that they can prepare but in my experience you have to either call ahead for that or come earlier in the day to get it. Doesn't matter, today's pizza is banging!

Diamond pizza is all vegan pizza, the pizza is so good that I don't miss the meat. The pizza here is alway fresh and delicious every time. I've never had a pizza from there that I didn't like. My favorite are their tomatoes and basil, potatoes and peppers, and pear one that's occasionally. The green sauce is super good as well.

Amazing gluten free options for pizza and high quality ingredients! I love how the dietary restrictions my close friends have doesn't bar them anymore from experiencing delish pizza! The customer service was great, and they serve you up quickly. I placed an order in advance, and they had it all ready by the time I went to go pick it up. They have one pizza flavor a day, and their green sauce is to die for. Quite a gem of a place! It's casual and good for families and a quick dinner.

Delicious.. just delicious. I used to work in Fruitvale 3 years ago and haven't been back since but man has nothing changed.. I don't know what they put in they put in their pizza but it must be a whole lotta love! Good service, good prices and tasty food! What more could you ask for? Did I mention they sell alcohol too !! Yep. Perfect low budget date night.. or an elevated pizza party ! Came in and picked up two pizzas of the day double cut plus a salad total $54. Don't forget to tip the staff! Excellent food. The cheese pizza is the best. The current location used to be a McDonald's wich was so convenient for me for breakfast and fries and Nuggets. Dimond slice is very good thin crust pizza.

Dimond Slice's vegan pizza is definitely on par with Cheeseboard and Arizmendi but the service here got my heart. The lady is super friendly and welcoming . Their menus are different everyday so you could check their website for daily menu .

Summer is the perfect time for a peach pizza. Delivered on time, fair priced, friendly staff, clean establishment, perfectly seasoned and balanced with thin slices of peach melted into the mozzarella cheese while sitting on top of a well cooked yet slightly chewy flavored dough.

My friends were moving so we decided to order pizza from diamond slice and oh my goodness !!!!!!! WHAT A GREAT DECISION WE MADE !!!! I would definitely come back here again !!!!

This place has some of the best veggie pizzas in the bay, and the folks at the counter are very nice. However, they need an overhaul to their online ordering system - if I order online, I expect a pizza box with my name on it waiting for me. At Dimond, it's chaos. You upset the folks in line by going to the online window, trying to get someone's attention that you are there, and then waiting for them to make a whole pie that comes out next vs one that was designated for you at a certain time.

I love pizzas ! This pizza place is one of my favorites. Sometimes I do really enjoy meatless pizzas. The green salsa is must. I always buy the pizza of the day ( Today's special ) I love all of them. No long waiting at all. I always get the pizza just in few minutes. It was very convenient to order from Uber eat when I'm too lazy or too tired to get pizza myself.

Fantastic gluten free pizza. I'm pretty sensitive (celiac) and have never reacted to their pizza. It's a staple in our house!

My favorite local pizza spot by far. It's very family friendly -- there's plenty of seating but it's also close to the park in case you want to enjoy a slice outdoors. The ingredients are always fresh and the service is quick and friendly -- plus they're generous with the portions. I always wanted to try this place & the other night because they were closing, I think the manager ended up giving my boyfriend a free pizza & salad! The pizza is delicious! I wish that happened 5 minutes before I got little Ceasars lol.

Very Cheese-Board vibe. De-Lish! Thin crust - great vegetarian/vegan toppings on a sourdough crust - a good amount for the price, especially since they always give a little free extra slice. Don't forget to try the green sauce. And always excellent customer service! A great meal on the run in the neighborhood. Nice big space with 2 different TV broadcasts and a giant chalkboard to draw on (some artists have often brightened my day)

The crust is FANTASTIC! The best I've had in a while. I ordered the 1/2 pizza, which is a daily vegetarian special so you don't know which vegetables youll.be getting on a given day. I loved mine! Two kinds of bell peppers & onions.

I think we've eaten this pizza 4 times in the last two weeks, since I first heard about them. It's DELICIOUS! And a great spot for gf and/or vegan folks to get their pizza fix! I almost couldn't tell the difference between the two! Plus the folks that work here are so lovely. I highly recommend. Don't mind the badly lit photo. This pie is positively EPIC! And the chimichurri/green salsa they serve it with is the icing on the savory cake! Don't miss it!

This 5 star review is long overdue. Dimond Slice is my go-to pizza spot in the Bay and luckily I live within walking distance. I've enjoyed countless pizzas with friends, family, and solo. Their vegan pizzas--dairy free twists on the daily menu--are out of this world. Fresh ingredients and inventive flavor combos. Over the summer they had an amazing grilled peach and arugula combo. Also love their potato topping and fresh corn. Next level!! The service here is also 5 stars. Outstanding, friendly, and familial staff treat everyone like their neighbors and there is an authentic community feel to this restaurant. On the weekends you see families line up and it's a joy to see. I like how they do single slices and half pizzas so you're not limited to buy a whole pie. Thanks DSP for serving the area with the best pizza around. You're awesome!

Excellent, unique pizzas with unbeatable prices and generous portions! Great for kids, a very family friendly environment inside. Not a ton of drink options or choices of pizza toppings but that's how they're able to offer such great prices. This is just such a great local business. Can't say enough good things about them

This place is great! I've had the chance to eat their pizza(s) at multiple friend gatherings, but I finally went there for myself. I love that they are all vegan/vegetarian! I know other reviewers weren't happy about that, but personally, I don't eat much meat, so it doesn't bother me. You can get amazing pizza without hiding behind the sausage and pepperoni. Parking around here kind of really sucks, but as a Bay native, I know that's just everywhere in Oak/Berk area. Especially on a Friday night, which is when I went. A lot of people just double-park in front of the place. Once I made it inside, there was a really long line, but it moved quickly. Unless you have a complicated order, they pretty much just hand over your food as soon as you're done paying. It's awesome - so fast! The woman at the counter was so sweet and warm (I think her name is Gloria???). That woman deserves a raise. She loves her customers and it shows. What a wonderful face to have at your establishment. She even gave me a few extra slices with my half pizza. I ordered the pizza of the day which was Roma Tomatoes, Red Onions, Mozzarella, Jalapeño Jack Cheese, Italian Parsley, Garlic Olive Oil. Reminiscent of a classic margherita, mmmm, my favorite. Delicious flavor and the crust is sourdough-based which adds something different and very much welcome. There is a new daily pizza of the day which you can find on their website. And make sure you don't sleep on the green sauce! It's special. :) I love this place and will continue to support them!

Being from Chicago makes me a pretty harsh critic when it comes to pizza especially if it doesn't include deep dish options or too many bells and whistles. Don't get me wrong, I have to be flexible living in California now so that all being said, if you are looking for simple tasty no frills, fresh ingredients pizza, this is the place! Dimond is my go to pizza in the neighborhood for delivery or take out though let's be honest, mostly delivery. They have all vegan/vegetarian options which is a plus in my book. Their secret sauce is literally their secret (green sauce) OMG! it really makes our cheese pizza stand out.

Dimond pizza is beyond legit! My son is a pure meat eater and he gave this place 6 stars. The crust is very flavorful and sturdy enough to hold the delicious vegan topping options. We ordered the potato and mushroom pies and they were EVERYTHING! The green pesto dipping sauce is a great option to give your pie slice a little bit of a spicy kick. Dimond slice definitely knows the formula to make any carnivore a veggie pie believer!

My first time ordering from here.. I ordered 1/2 cheese pizza because how can you mess up pizza? Then for the other half, I ordered 1/2 "pizza of the day." Not only was the service fast but every bite was amazing. Usually after I eat two slices of pizza, I start to feel uncomfortably full but not with Dimond pizza, I feel like I could eat more but I just feel satisfied and that's good enough for me. The Pizza of the Day today was pesto and it was quite delicious. I can't wait to order from here again and try another kind of pizza to see what else on the menu. The pizza is such a great price, too. You can't beat that. Highly recommend giving this a place a try!

I've had their pizza a few times and I have never been disappointed. My son and his family introduced me to Diamond Slice and have even had it DoorDashed to my house.

I crave Dimond Slice on so many random weekdays. Every day, they always have a different pizza but it's ALWAYS good I just don't get it. If pizza were healthier, I could totally become vegetarian with dimond slice. I always appreciate the staff and how nice they are! I LOVE their green sauce and I always ask for more, and they always give me even more than I asked. They always serve an extra sliver of pizza on top of what you already ordered, and it just tastes even yummier. Please try this place out, you will not be disappointed!

My daughter recommended we come here to get healthier pizza. We ordered 2 pies, one special of the day and the other a potato pizza. I ended up loving the potato pizza, something I would never have thought of. If you like potatoes, crispy crust and tons of flavor, then check them out!

Yummy pizza the green sauces to die for. My favorite is the day they do corn pizza. But they're all good. The ambience isn't so much but I still love it. Oh, and when you get a slice they give you the extra little piece which is really sweet too.
