Pleasantly surprised! Unassuming dim sum location with good selection. Options to order off the menu and also pick your dishes off the cart. It was busy, but we were seated very quickly. The service was exceptional. Linda was our server and was so attentive. She even brought us kitchen shears to help us cut up some food for our toddler.

Google
Best dim sum restaurant in the greater Baltimore area. My husband said the vibe felt so authentic that he wanted to rinse the plates and bowls with hot water before we started eating--a common and routine habit for those who dined in China's restaurants. Great staff as well. Note that if you want the experience of the dim sum carts, they are available during lunch only.

Beautiful dining room and authentic menu. Large menu of dim sum (small plates), so many delicious options. Dining room ran very smoothly and very clean. Upscale atmosphere and family vibes. Excellent, prompt service. Great for parties of all sizes. Bubble tea and jelly drinks too!

Google
Best authentic dim sum place in town. Food was fresh and delicious. I was especially impressed by Winnie who provided one of the best service I had ever experience. She over saw 10+ tables, somehow whenever I need something, she’s right there. The attention to detail was impressive. The restaurant is clean and organized. Love the dim sum push carts. Food was fresh and hot!

2nd time to enjoy dimsum. Arrived at opening time to avoid long wait was quicky ushered to a table for 2 were another wait person facilitated the initial set of dishes. Delectable dimsum came in 3-4 carts with 2 bearing steamed items, 1 fried and 1 sweet stuff. Ordered stuffed sticky rice in lotus leaf, tofu sheet with pork minced, chives and pork dumpling, shrimp dumpling, mince meat in black truffle wrap and mochi balls. The portions are larger compared to previous visit but still prepared carefully and delicious. The dining space remains fresh, neat and organ ized. Welcome news that dimsum service is now all day.

Came here for dim sum and it was scrumptious! Service was excellent - staff were polite, friendly and efficient. Food was excellent. It was very authentic, just like in Hong Kong. Decor is nice and the atmosphere was relaxed, comfortable and happy. Wish we lived in Baltimore so we can come here regularly!

First time visit. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food cart came out quickly and portion sizes were great. Taste was solid aswell, everything was hot. Definitely easy to over order due to the huge portions. All day Dim sum is a great selling point non morning people.

There is really nothing but good things to say about the Dimsum Palace. The atmosphere, food, menu, service and ambiance are all excellent. This is an authentic Chinese restaurant which our party of nine people enjoyed completely – no complaints. The restaurant is roomy and well-lit with good spacing between tables. At lunchtime, the place was packed with people but the speed of receiving our orders was still excellent. Especially like the food carts that are constantly being rolled around allowing you to see various dishes and have them instantly served. The pricing was reasonable. Restrooms were large and spotless. Located in a shopping mall with free parking. As is the case with most Chinese restaurants, the menu was extensive. Great place to go if you like authentic Chinese cuisine.

Yelp
10/10 experience! We came on a Saturday around 11:30am. There was a 25 minute wait for a table for 3. The restaurant was clean, waiters were friendly and the food was delicious! Our favorites were the chicken feet, shrimp dumplings and the bean curd skin rolls. I cannot wait to come back to try more of their menu! The portions were good as well.

Yelp
Dimsum Palace is where to go for delicious and well varied dimsum. I visited Dimsum Palace over a year ago. The food was fine, but the atmosphere felt dingy and cramped. Having returned, it has gotten a massive upgrade, with clean and open spaces, and a menu that brings both classic dimsum dishes as well as a few new innovations. It's hard to list everything I've had at Dimsum Palace, so here are my favorites: The truffle shrimp dumplings look imposing with their black exterior, but the bouncy, truffle infused dough is filled with juicy shrimp for an indulgent twist on shrimp dumplings. There is a brown tripe dish where the tripe is in huge chunks. For some this might be a tough chew, but for me, it's a textural marvel with each bite releasing a burst of meaty broth into my mouth. The chicken feet are so soft that you don't need to chew, just suck on a digit and spit out the knuckle bones. It looks intimidating, but once you've gotten the motion down, you'll be inhaling these succulent and tender morsels. Food comes out fast, and you'll always feel like you're missing out on a cart if you don't take it when it passes by. I suggest reading the menu at the table, which comes with helpful pictures. You can also order dimsum that's not on a nearby cart and a server will bring it to you quickly. Don't be afraid to experiment with something you've never tried, as even if you don't like it, each dish is small that it's worth the risk. If I had to nitpick, it would be that the price for some of the dimsum is very high. Check the menu for the expensive items before snagging three of them from a cart. Indulge, experiment, and enjoy with each delicious bite from Dimsum Palace.

Yelp
Came on a Sunday right before 11am (when they open) and this place was already packed tighter than a dumpling wrapper... which is always a good sign. The shrimp dumplings were plump little shrimp clouds. The turnip cakes were great too. Now, fair warning: some carts seemed to be on a leisurely Sunday stroll because they took forever to make it to our table. I ended up flagging down a server and ordering a few favorites off the menu -- luckily, those came out faster. The staff were nice despite the hustle and bustle, and the chaotic atmosphere honestly felt like part of the experience. If you're cool with a wait and love the thrill of the dim sum hunt, this place is worth it. Just be ready to chase down a cart or two -- or wave a menu like you're hailing a taxi.

Yelp
One of the better dim sum places in Maryland. This place was excellent. Very big menu. Came in during the week at lunch time to avoid the weekend rush. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Got sat at our table quickly and the dim sum carts started to come around. FYI there are some menu items not on the carts so you just have to let the staff know and they will bring it out to you. The service here was super fast and attentive, makes sense as they come around steadily with the dim sum carts. The food was authentic and fresh. Coming out hot and smelling delicious. My dim sum classic favorites hargow and shumai here were excellent. Super meaty with big shrimp and pork fillings. Their other items were all good. I really like the sesame balls, pineapple bun, and Portuguese tarts. Rice rolls were also good. Will definitely be back and I wild totally recommend this place if you want to try authentic dim sum.

Yelp
Solid pork buns (steamed and baked) and sesame buns. My husband also enjoyed the shrimp options. My one negative with this place was that a lot of the pork (non bun) options also contained shrimp which I don't eat. So I had fairly limited options of items to enjoy. That said, everything came out fresh and hot.

Yelp
Came here for some dim sum... This is a relatively new dim sum restaurant along Route 40 in Catonsville. We decided to stop by for a dim sum early dinner. We were greeted by a pleasant man and taken to our seat. The restaurant was an open concept and clean with pleasant staff ready to take our order. We got the crystal shrimp, seafood sui mai, and baked barbecue buns; the Hong Kong pan fried noodles and the steamed pork ribs. The crystal shrimp dumpling was fresh and tasty, covered with a clear dumpling wrapper. The seafood sui mai was loaded with shrimp, scallops, and crabmeat in a dumpling dough that was really good. The star of this party was the baked barbecue pork buns. Baked golden brown buns encased around a pulled pork barbecue filling with a hint of sweetness, (*chef's kiss). Now the items that were definitely a miss: the steam pork ribs were no more than a mound of riblet bones with a bunch of cartilage, little meat, and taro, which I wasn't prepared for as the stark contract in texture from the pork ribs to the mushy taro was not to our liking. The Hong Kong style pan noodles were the most expensive item we ordered ($11.99) and a HUGE disappointment. The noodles arrived with little veggies and no meat, I would advise to not order these two items and, if you just want dim sum, concentrate on those amazing menu items. All in all, with the exception of the noodles and pork ribs, we are going back to check out more of the extensive dim sum offerings!

Yelp
Overall: delicious dim sum, quick service, relatively casual ambiance We got there on a Sunday before it opened and the line had already started. We got seated for the first service, ate our fill, and were out the door in 45 minutes which was lovely when eating out with 2 kids 3 and under. The service was fast and almost everything was delicious. The stuffed eggplant was the highlight for me, but i also loved the pork buns and the egg tart. The only thing i wouldn't get again was the short rib, which was very tough and chewy. It was confusing to tell what would come on which cart and what had to be ordered separately, but I'm sure we will learn because we will definitely be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty decent dimsum. It was busy on the weekend with cart service, but we were able to snag a table. They don't have a huge variety and only saw 2 carts (steamed & fried); char siu bao, shrimp sui mai, har gow, taro dumplings, egg tarts, and footballs were solid. Also ordered a few dishes off the menu: chicken eggplant salted fish casserole, snow pea leaves, and chicken bitter melon were very tasty. However the portion size should have been bigger, especially the casserole. My biggest gripe was that none of the dishes come with white rice. $1.50/bowl is ridiculous and for any Chinese restaurant to charge extra for rice is sacrilegious. I'd think twice about coming back for anything not dim sum.

Yelp
Had a quick lunch and it didn't disappoint! So many folks had the same idea for a random time on a Thursday afternoon. I came back for the tasty Black Truffle Shrimp dumplings and chicken feet. Also tried a new fish soup which tasted super fresh! The salt & pepper calamari dish will ALWAYS be a show-stopper, so order it ASAP to get your meal started here. Customer service was very attentive and suggested complimentary dim sum to go with what we already ordered. The ambiance is light and airy as usual, a nice cool respite from a hot day! Make your way there any time of the week, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
summary: a "classic" dim sum experience where they walk around with carts and mark a paper order sheet as you eat. It gets packed pretty quickly, so I'd recommend getting their ahead of time if you're not trying to wait. The food is delicious and the dim sum experience is always a fun one if you've never tried before. Context: my family and I went on a Sunday morning at 10:50 and there was already a line coming out of the door (they open at 11). You should definitely get there ahead of time if you're trying to meet a party. I believe their restaurant policy is that they don't let you be seated unless at least half your party is present. The ambiance does get a little bit hectic because the restaurant is so busy so early, but that's also kind of part of the whole dim sum experience. Mostly everything was very delicious and fresh. The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the black pepper short rib where the meat was a bit chewy. Otherwise, no complaints about the food. The service is a bit spotty mainly because there's so many people there and how busy it was, so I would try to ask for things in advance if possible. To clarify, it wasn't anything bad. Just ask for things like refills or napkins ahead of time. All in all, it was a delicious meal with a fun experience and we'll definitely be back again.

Yelp
5/5!! No, 10 out of 5!!!! I could give this place all the stars if I could :) My husband and I have been wanting to try Dimsum Palace for the longest time, and we finally had the courage to take our 8 month old to do lunch here. The entire experience from start to finish was SO amazing. I cannot stop raving about this place. 1. Ambiance: Spacious and clean. It's very casual and nothing fancy. But I loved how clean they keep the place. They use disposable table cloths and change it every time a new group dines. Really appreciated that especially given we are more health- and germ- conscious post COVID. 2. Service: Outstanding, outstanding, outstanding. Everyone was so understanding and accommodating. They offered a booster seat before we asked for one (FYI - SUPER CLEAN. I've seen some nasty ones), got my kid a plastic plate and a spoon, even a separate to go water cup with a lid and a straw. It's not easy dining out with a little kid, especially when we feel unwelcome. But everyone at Dimsum palace were so nice and supportive.. it almost made me tear up a little. 3. Food!!! OMG. The BEST dimsum I've had in a WHILE. My go-to in the DMV area is China Garden Hangong, but Dimsum Palace offered HUGE dimsums (almost felt jumbo sized) with comparable / better taste. I think I found my new go-to dimsum place!! All in all, this was one of the best dining out experience I have had in a while. Thank you for making our day! We will certainly be back :)

Yelp
My dim sum standards are a little high given the fact that I grew up in Queens, NY and have tried dim sum in a few other cities across the U.S. So by comparison Dim Sum palace was very good. We loved the traditional dim sum carts! (Some places no longer due this after Covid) We tried the usual dim sum food such as shrimp dumplings, pork buns (flaky dough kind and a golden brown bun). Something new for us was the stuffed eggplant (I think). I think it was eggplant stuffed with shrimp toast, delicious. The duck was tender and delicious also. We enjoyed the mango dessert cups. I would definitely recommend this place but come early. Gets busy quickly! 7/14/25 this is just an update. They have added picture and drink menus recently.

Yelp
This was our first visit to this Dim Sum establishment. It was a Friday night around 6PM and we did not need a reservation. Service was attentive and friendly. We tried a good selection of dishes and everything was fresh and it was super hot ( temperature wise) which is what I like. The flavors reminded me of Dim Sum in New York's Chinatown. I definitely recommend this gem along Route 40. Emily, our server, gets 10 stars!
google avatar

Yelp
There's not as many dim sum places in this area of Maryland and they are my absolute fave here! I always get the chrysanthemum tea and some of my favorite dishes are the stuffed eggplant, pineapple bun, and steamed ribs! The restaurant is brightly lit and the service is excellent. The dishes always come out in waves and whatever you don't finish the staff always packs for you. Whenever we crave dim sum, we always come here!
google avatar

Hallie L.

Yelp
A decent place to get dimsum. You can order by menu or cart. All the dishes were pretty good and satisfying. My favorite were the shrimp dumplings! Ordering off the menu instead of the cart WILL lead to you getting a larger portion (and charged for a larger portion as well), so keep that in mind. I didn't know and accidentally ordered 11 dollars of turnip cakes, which was way too much for two people. The interior is clean and the waiters are prompt as well. We were quoted a 25 minute wait for 11:30am on a Sunday and were sat in around 22 minutes.
google avatar

Yelp
This Restuarant was very good for Dimsum! So glad we found it. The food is very fresh and hot with someone bringing new carts around all the time. Definitely the best in our area. The Restuarant was very clean and nice inside. The service was good but hard to understand some of the people delivering the food.
google avatar

Cathy H.

Yelp
Love the food here! They have a big dining room in the front and a private room in the back for parties. The staff was nice and very helpful explaining certain foods. The dim sum was delicious and this is one of my favorite spots in the area for dim sum. They also have traditional Cantonese dishes too.
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
This spot is hopping and there's a line on Sundays out the door. The wait isn't too long since most of the dim sum is on pushcarts and they turn their tables fast. We were done within an hour even though we ordered beef chow fun and stir fried turnip cake with XO sauce from their kitchen. Everything tastes so fresh - you can tell from the dumpling wrappings if they are frozen or fresh - these shrimp dumplings and black truffle dumplings definitely are freshly prepared. I love the creativity to take turnip cakes and stir fry with XO suace - but this also means that they had to use less turnip/flour ratio to get a firmer consistency to prevent it from falling apart. Still delish. Ithe vibe is high energy. The servers are great at changing dirty plates, taking empty dim sum steamers/plates away, refilling on teas. This is the kind of "fast food" that I'll have any day!
google avatar

Joanne H.

Yelp
Happy to find a Cantonese restaurant in our way back home from DC to Jersey! Arrived at the restaurant around 1pm on a Saturdays. There were 5 of us, the wait was only about 15 minutes. There is a lotte supermarket in the same plaza. So we did a little shopping before handing back home as well. The waitresses were really friendly at the restaurant. We ordered a few dim sum, fried rice and beef chow fun. Everything came tasty, hot and fresh! The restaurant is very roomy and comfortable. They sat us all the way in the back room, so we felt pretty private. I think you can book the room as a party room.
google avatar

Jannet C.

Yelp
This is a great place for dim sum. They have a nice selection, and everything is delicious and flavorful. We liked all the dim sum items: the har goas bean curd rolls, sui mai, Portuguese egg tarts, pork buns and pineapple buns. My suggestion is that I hope that more of the dim sum comes out hotter. Especially the stuffed egg plants that come in the cold cart. I really liked the pork and century egg congee soup. That one is very flavorful, and I'm really glad that they make it to order and put extra century eggs in it as I requested. We also have come to have dinner and had fish casserole, chow fun, and house pan fried noodles. The dishes were good, but they were on the small side compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area. Therefore, we will probably just stick to going there for dim sum. The service is helpful and nice. We will be back.
google avatar

Mark H.

Yelp
It's nice having a good dim sum place in the area. We'll definitely go back again. Dimsum Palace is big, bright and clean. All our dishes were very good. The serving size is a little bigger than other dim sum I've had, but I'm not complaining about that lol. Service was friendly and fast.
google avatar

Yelp
If I could whisper rather than give a shout out for this restaurant, that might help to keep it as one of the best kept secrets in Maryland! The food is fresh and delicious. This restaurant is also very clean, unlike some other restaurants I've been to. The service is very attentive even on the busy days, and the decor is fresh. Need I say more? Sorry to say I didn't take any pictures of the food because we couldn't wait to devour it! You really can't go wrong with anything on their menu but I'll take some pictures the next time we go there!!

Yelp
Came here at 11:25am on a Saturday as a group of 4 and we got sat at the last open table without waiting. It gets pretty busy the second they open so come early if you do not want to wait. As soon as we sat down, a cart came by and we got to order immediately! The food was absolutely delicious. I was excited to try the egg tarts since they are my favorite breakfast/snack/dessert ever. I was absolutely shocked at how soft, silky, and tasty the egg tarts were! They were unforgettable and I will definitely be back for these egg tarts. The custard buns were black with a gold accent on the top and looked beautiful. They were so warm and fresh! The service was amazing as well. They refilled our teapot and water immediately after finishing it, any empty dish and used napkins were taken off immediately. The service was so swift and exceeded my expectations especially for a busy crowded dim sum restaurant. The table next to us left and within a minute, the table was cleared off and ready to go for the next customers. I am extremely happy with myself for trying this place out and my only regret was not visiting earlier!

Love this place, great food, service and the food stays consistent. If you go for brunch be prepared to wait.

Yelp
https://youtu.be/GwX28S7v3Ts I share my Youtube Video ### 1. Ambiance Dim Sum Palace had a very bright and clean atmosphere. From the entrance to the entire dining area, everything was neatly organized, and the interior design was well-maintained, creating a positive first impression. The spacing between tables was comfortable, making it a pleasant place to dine. ### 2. Service The service was generally friendly, but there was one issue: the menu descriptions were lacking. The waitress in red, who appeared to be the head server, didn't provide much information about the menu. There was also a slight issue when the second cola served was flat. However, the second server brought the original cola later, and this resolved the issue. Overall, service was decent, but could use improvement in terms of menu explanation. ### 3. Value for Money The prices were reasonable for a family dinner, and considering the quality of the food, it was quite affordable. We ordered a variety of dim sum, and each dish highlighted the natural flavors of the ingredients without being overly salty. The overall value for money was high. ### 4. Menu Variety The menu offered a range of options, not just dim sum, which provided a good variety for diners. There were many types of dim sum to choose from, and the à la carte menu also offered other dishes, allowing for a well-rounded dining experience. However, the lack of detailed menu explanations was a bit of a downside. ### 5. Location and Accessibility Dim Sum Palace is located in a street mall with plenty of parking space, making it easy to access. The fact that parking was free was a big plus. The location is convenient, with sufficient parking space, and it is also easily accessible via public transport. ### 6. Special Experience It was a special experience trying various types of dim sum, and the food was beautifully presented. The difference in service from the waitstaff, especially the waitress in red, was noticeable, though the service overall could have been more consistent. The visual appeal of the dishes and the variety of dim sum added a unique touch to the dining experience. ### 7. Areas for Improvement The restaurant could benefit from providing more detailed explanations of the menu, especially for first-time visitors. Clearer guidance on how to order or what to expect from each dish would improve the overall experience. Additionally, maintaining consistency in beverage service would be a great improvement. --- Overall, Dim Sum Palace provided a positive dining experience with great ambiance, tasty food, and good value for money. However, there are areas for improvement, particularly in terms of service and menu explanations.

Yelp
I loved it! The dim sum was very good and nothing was too sweet. It appeared clean and I saw an employee wiping down tables and chairs after guest left. The lighting was good and the music wasn't too loud. Improvements: -I think larger tables and a description of what's in each item would be helpful for accessibility. -Customers at the next table had difficulty understanding the server and got a food item they don't eat. It was not removed or not charged. I think this could be handled better. Staff should have someone they can call in for help when language barriers exist. Service was good and although we were the only black patrons it didn't feel weird at all.

Yelp
Went with my husband and in laws on a Saturday. We were seated quickly. The tables are really close together so it could be a bit challenging for those with mobility issues. We got tea and got food from the dimsum carts. We also ordered the beef chow fan, gai lan. The dimsum was great, we ordered some dumplings, chicken feet, ribs, meat buns, etc... the gai lan was very tender. The beef chow fan wasn't great, it didn't taste right. Overall it was great but probably will not order the beef chow fan again.
google avatar

Allie Y.

Yelp
The place was incredibly packed when I pulled up about 30 minutes after opening. people were already outside waiting for a table. the wait wasn't long if you were a small table. I ended up placing an order to go instead of waiting for a table. the food was decent, much better than some of the dim sum spots I've been to in Northern Virginia.
google avatar

Yelp
Loved this place! Pretty traditional as far as dim sum food options go - shumai, chicken feet, etc. My boyfriend and I just, waited a little longer than average attempting to enjoy it.

Yelp
My second time at Dim Sum palace. I felt like I needed to go again to write a review. The employees are very nice and helpful if you have questions regarding the dishes. The food is delicious. My favorite is the truffle dumplings. The carts came frequently and you can also order on the menu. We ordered the pan fried noodles - see pic below. It was enough for 7 people. Dim sum palace has the better dim sum selection than the other dim sum places in Maryland. Dim Sum palace is located in the Lotte shopping center and big enough that you don't feel claustrophobic. The dining area is open and has large tables for big parties.
google avatar

Yelp
Adding this to our regular list! Traditional cart-service Dimsum daily 11am-3pm! Larger menu (will add later) is quite extensive. Everything we had was amazing! We arrived 20 minutes before opening and were not the first ones in line. We were close enough we knew we would get in for the first dimsum service. Staff were ready and hit the floor running with beverage orders quickly followed by the arrival of carts of food. Pastries were exquisite and the flavors delightful. We enjoyed the following: Crystal shrimp dumplings, Seafood sui mai, Black truffle Shrimp dumplings, Steamed pork ribs, Hong Kong sticky rice, Steamed Bean Curd rolls, Charcoal and egg yolk buns, Baked BBQ Pork Puff, and mango pudding. Our beverage of choice was Jasmine tea. We will definitely be back! Great experience, great food! Happy New Year!

Yelp
I was highly surprised at the service here. Unlike other Asian restaurants, or server Linda was extremely pleasant. She was very patient and attended to our every need with a smile so this was definitely 5 star service I'm not accustomed to. There were so many choices from hot, cold, sweet and savory for dim sum we, a group of 8 didn't get through half of them. Some of my favorites were the pineapple buns & shrimp and crab dim sum. A lot of our choices were on the cold / warm side and I wasn't happy about that. I will definitely come back a day is not so busy so that I can order them and they will come out hot each time. At least, that's my hope. The Chinese broccoli was good but there was barely any oyster sauce but are awesome server did bring us out some more. Before I forget to mention, the tea was good as well. It wasn't too strong and our awesome server Linda refilled it for as many times as we need it. I am excited about coming back here and thrilled they upgraded this place because the last time we came we were not impressed.

Yelp
I am super picky with my dim sum and have been struggling to find a good place in MD/VA (over many years). I'm happy to say this is probably the best place I've tried! Prices are a bit high, and they do 20% automatic gratuity for parties of 6+ - so just be mindful if you're coming with a big family/group of friends. But I guess you get what you pay for! Most things we tried were pretty tasty and good quality - pork BBQ filled pastries, egg tarts, lo mai gai, ha gow, mini ribs, beef tripe, etc. A highlight was the black buns with sweet runny egg filling - really recommend this one. They have a pretty good variety on the carts going around - I probably missed some good ones. Overall, a solid dim sum spot! I'd recommend and will definitely be back to try some more.

Yelp
Super excited to not have to drive all the way to DC for some authentic dim sum now. I believe the restaurant is family owned. Interior is cute, clean, and aesthetic. We ordered a bit of everything to try: -bbq pork buns -shumai -sesame balls with red bean -pork spare ribs -beef chow fun -green tea -shrimp and pork dumplings -soup dumplings And a few others that I do not recall the name of. They come around with the traditional dim sum carts and ask what you would like. There was a lady and a man who were super attentive, that we assumed may be the owners. Everything was delicious! We will definitely be back once a month at least. The only recommendation I have would be to serve their tea a little cooler or get more heat resistant tea cups. Every time we refilled the cup, we had to wait at least ten min for it to mildly cool down to drink. We usually finish our tea, but left it half full because it was still burning hot.

Yelp
We tried this place for our first Dim Sum experience in the restaurant. We were a little overwhelmed at first but learned quickly. We got a chive and shrimp dumpling, crab & shrimp dumplings, Chinese broccoli, fired shrimp balls, and tea. The value was great out the door spent $40 for two people and had leftovers. I would definitely come hungry and ask questions. Everyone there was very nice! Great spot for large groups and celebrations.

Yelp
True dim sum spots are hard to find around here so we were lucky we found this one. I believe this spot took over what was formally foo bao. Overall the service was excellent! Everyone was prompt and all the carts had several items at once. The carts were also easily accessible so you can see and choose the items you want. Sometimes it was challenging as some of the staff did not speak English so if you are not familiar with din sum as the couple next to us were not, it could make for an interesting experience. Nonetheless you really can't go wrong. My boyfriend and I ordered around the same amount as usual and we spend around $60-70 before tip... Here, we paid $95 and the portions were not any bigger than anywhere else. That was a bit shocking and it's also hard bc prices aren't listed anywhere unless you order kitchen items like the rice noodles or the congee. The overall place is huge! They can accommodate between 2-10 ppl per table. It was and stayed very busy during our time for lunch. The most I saw ppl waiting was somewhere between 5-10 minutes. I did read that the wait can be longer than that and they do not take reservations.

Yelp
This establishment looked interesting, worth a try. I ordered Hong Kong noodle soup, kung pao chicken and black pepper beef short ribs. I can't eat shrimp and asked the server if the Hong Kong noodle soup dumplings had shrimp. She said no, just pork. First arrived the kung pao chicken. It should have been listed as zucchini in a hot chile sauce with a little bit of chicken and celery. Not great. Then arrived the soup, with large chunks of shrimp in the dumplings. i couldn't eat it, my wife had two dumplings. Then arrived the short rips...stringy meat in a strange sauce. I couldn't eat it. We barely ate our food, the server asked if we wanted it to go, I said no because of the shrimp in the dumplings. We were charged for everything. Not again, this place was a one time only, we won't be back.

Yelp
9.30.23 The restaurant is located in One Mile West shopping center where there is a Lotte and Goodwill. It is a very busy center. I arrived at 11am on a Saturday given that I read reviews that it gets busy on the weekends. I was meeting up with a friend so they sat us at a table for two. I believe most of the square tables seat four whereas the round tables seat 8. There is also a separate room that has four round tables. They have carts that are rolled around for dim sum (like tapas). Each item is marked on a card based on the size, small through XL, as well as dim sum and kitchen specials. Alternatively, they have a regular menu for general Chinese cuisine. My friend and I ordered the stuffed eggplant, dumplings, sticky rice, baked pork buns, and shrimp rice noodle rolls. My favorites were the sticky rice, baked pork buns, and shrimp rice noodle rolls. The baked pork bun tasted like a buttered pretzel to me. So yummy. I also purchased the crab meat fish maw soup to go. Our server was great and came around frequently to check on us and cleared our plates. The food is on the pricier side, but I haven't gone to dim sum in awhile so perhaps prices have gone up. We paid $75 for two people. Also compared to other dim sum restaurants, their selection doesn't seem to be as extensive. All in all, I enjoyed their offerings and would definitely return if I had a hankering for dim sum. I'd also like to have some of their regular menu items.

Yelp
I used to enjoy this place, but the quality has definitely gone downhill. The beef chow fun was especially disappointing--the noodles were undercooked and tasted raw, with an unpleasant, unripe flavor. I had to re-cook it at home just to make it somewhat edible. Several of the dim sum dishes also didn't taste as good as they used to, which was really disappointing. The service wasn't great either. We sat down and couldn't find anyone to help us, and even after the food arrived, there was no water or tea. On the bright side, the staff were polite, which is why I'm giving three stars. I really hope they improve and get back to the quality they had before!

Yelp
Came on a random Friday around 1:30pm, and it wasn't busy so I was immediately seated. Friendly and attentive staff. Not too many tables inside, compared to other dim sum places, so not sure how busy it would be on a weekend. Good dim sum, but there weren't a lot of carts going around (it was also only about an hour before dim sum ended, so that could be why). One of my go-to dim sum that you can usually just get from the carts is the shrimp rice noodle roll (ha cheung), but I had to order this one from the menu. Everything was still tasty and good size!

Yelp
I'm so happy to find a new Dim Sum spot in Baltimore. It's actually located in a strip mall in Catonsville. We visited this restaurant on a Sunday around noon. Be prepared to wait if you don't come when it first opens. We waited about 30 minutes for a table for four. We ordered the usual Dim Sum dishes off the carts along with beef chow fun and stir fry water spinach from the menu. Except for the taro puff dumplings, everything was hot and fresh. The food was delicious. The shumai was plump and large. I like that the menu items came out quick and hot from the kitchen. The staff were friendly. It was a little loud but that is to be expected. They have small private rooms in the back. I would definitely return again to fill my dim sum craving.

Yelp
Had an excellent lunch date here with my wife and I can't wait to come back. Walk in and the whole place was hoppin. Loads of people, so it's noisy and there's carts hustling by and waiters picking up empty plates and you hear as much Cantonese as English. While there are menus for you to order from, most of the food will be on the carts zipping around the space. If you decide to wait on something, I think the longest we waited for that particular cart to return was about 10 minutes and in the meantime we could chow down on some of the other things we got. All the food was good. Really nothing bad. While there are a few vegetarian options, I would say those were more rare (that steamed Chinese broccoli [yu choy] was slamming though). The steamed shrimp dumplings were simple but delicious. The pork shu mai was savory and porky. The char siu pork buns and egg custard buns were both delightful with tasty fillings in a pillowy steamed bun. We got some other dish at a porter's recommendation (her favorite), but I don't remember its name - it had crunchy peanuts and savory pork in it. I also tried out the chicken feet (if, like me, you didn't grow up eating this, it's worth a try at least once and there are good YouTube videos showing the proper way to eat them) which were deliciously sauced and well cooked - get your collagen on, baby. A pot of oolong tea to wash it all down and it's a great meal. We were kind of shocked that, after all the dishes we'd tried, it wasn't super expensive, though it can add up fast, especially if you get certain specials (dishes are priced by size and if they are considered a specialty). The inside was clean and pristine and the waitstaff was helpful, friendly, and quick. Looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
We were searching for Dim Sum and found Dimsum Palace. There was no dim sum n the evening but we enjoyed several dishes. Per the menu, the Salt and Pepper items were a specialty. We liked the salt & pepper calamari but I felt it could have had a bit more zing. Pork Dumplings arrived crisp and freshly prepared. The roast pork, served sliced, was good but I have had better. Kung Pao chicken, prepared with water chestnuts and lots of zucchini was the best we have had recently. Dimsum palace has a large, varied menu. All of the items we ordered were solid. Our food arrived quickly. Would love to return for some Dim Sum!

Yelp
Well, now I am feeling the era of restaurants is changing. It's not about the food quality or being the best small restaurant, it putting in technology and making the food come fast so a table can turn and get New Business, that's a shame, Dimsum Palace is no palace, and Dim Sum was mediocre. The price are high for what ìt was. 2 main items we wanted were out of stock and this is Mother's Day weekend. Waiter were abundant but they weren't being attentive because they weren't actuaĺing reading the Patronen needs, it was like a lot of Flash just swarming around but my water nèded falling and we were not asked how was everything. Dishes were medium to small in size and for $6-$8 a small dish not a good value. I had a issue with a dish the pork buns they were oversteamed and the manager said they never are. I have eaten buns all over Asia and they were. The manager I don't believe had any training in the culinary business and came off as insulting. He need's training in the culture and his mannerisms. He seemed arrogant but I don't think he was, he just acted that way The tero cake needed a sweet soy sauce. TheTofu skinny with veg were dark and tofu skins are normally tan. I drink water and no one refilled and that is service not just taking food out when it comes up. We were there 6 -7 and restaurant was about 1/2 full. I am giving it 3 out of 5 because it is my first time, it my experience doesn't change on my.second visit I will change my rating to 2 and not come back. Dim Sum is $25-$40 perversion experience, not a trip to the local Chinese Food Restaurant that is $15-$20. This was not. Owner/Manager needs some CS skills.

Yelp
We've been here several times, basically trying a new dish everytime. This place is a chain, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Prices can be high for the quality and portions you get, but some dishes hit the spot. Our favorites are the Salted Fish & Chicken fried rice, HK pan fried noodles, Char Siu, and sweet and sour pork. We've tried the dimsum dishes and weren't impressed with the quality and the price. One thing I absolutely love is the "coconut cake" which can be described more like a pudding. Reminds of my childhood when we go to dim sum restaurants. Servers have always been friendly and attentive. Only qualm is when they know you're about to leave, the clean up crew come and clear your table before you even have a chance to stand up! There are many small tables and a few large round tables for big parties. Seating is ample on a weekday evening, but weekends can be a bit of a wait. If you have to go to the bathroom, give yourself plenty of time. It's down an obscure maze of a hallway towards the back of the restaurant. All in all, it's nice to have dimsum in the area without having to make a trek outside of Baltimore.

Yelp
Thrilled to have a new dim sum option near Howard County Maryland- land of tiger moms and dads-lol I grew up in nyc so I'm pretty picky about dim sum. This place has a short wait and staff are super efficient at getting people seated. I was with a party of 20 people so we were seated in party room in back- good to know there is an option of a private space. Took them forever to get us our tea but they were a little overwhelmed with the Saturday crowd. Our waiter Alvin was otherwise awesome and friendly and responsive. The dim sum was pretty good. Lots of variety that is hard to find in the Maryland suburbs- chive and shrimp dumplings, giant chicken feet and mini roast pork pineapple buns . The beef chow fun noodle dish was on par with nyc places Can't wait to return!

Yelp
This is my 2nd time there. Went there last year not too long after they opened and it was packed. We had a large group of about 9-10 of us last year and they seated us in the back room. I have to say, the service was impeccable. It totally felt like we were privately awaited upon that day. The food was good. It wasn't the best nor the worst. And seeing how busy they were, I was both impressed and amazed at how they kept it going on. So due to it's hectic pace, I didn't think too much about it. So today, my family went there again and this time there was 6 of us. We were seated promptly because we got there right around opening. Again the service couldn't have been any better. They were all super attentive and didn't have to ask today for anything. Water? Never needed to ask not once, and we are heavy water drinkers. Now the food. Since it was a little less hectic, I tried to pay more attention to the food this time. And what I noticed was the lack of variety in the carts that were coming around. Between the 6 of us, we got 17 items but we probably could have gotten double that if there were more variety. If the same carts keep coming around with the same dishes, then it is time to go. The other thing I noticed was that the dishes for the most part, were not hot, indeed not even warm. That was the reason we didn't go to a closer dim sum restaurant because I distinctly remember one dish that was served cold. To be honest, I don't even remember if dim sum was served hot at any point in other restaurants, or am I just noticing now? But to be sure, temperature of the food is vital to its enjoyment, at least for me. So, since I really like the service and I know the restaurant is trying it's best, if I can make 2 suggestions: 1) add more variety (to be fair, it may just me us not being adventurous in not eating all their offerings) because I don't remember leaving with the thought we tried everything we liked. 2) serve items HOT. I know its been done before because I have seen heated carts before. Otherwise, the more the dishes go around, the colder it gets. I am sure we will try back again sometime this year to see if anything changes because I do like the place and the people because they are trying their best. Here are some pics from the 2 times we visited

Yelp
Tried the dim sum for lunch. Be prepared to potentially wait for a table - it was clear the locals are ready for a good dim sum place. It's their first week of opening, so the dim sum menu was a bit limited. Didn't expect the more modern menu items like the black truffle shrimp dumpling or the black lau sa bao to be available yet, but I was a bit disappointed that classics like the rice crepe rolls were not available. My favorites were the siu mai and the egg tart. The menu mentions a Portuguese egg tart option. It was also not yet available, but I look forward to trying it another time. The staff were very friendly and you could tell they were trying their best while being new to the operations. There's overall an open, minimal and modern vibe to the space that's pretty versatile - there's definitely a lot of potential. Welcome to the neighborhood!
