London’s New Restaurant Openings

"This Canary Wharf spot brings London’s Din Tai Fung restaurant count up to four. There’ll be the same open kitchen as the others, as well as fan favourite Taiwanese dishes like the xiaolongbao and sautéed string beans with garlic." - team infatuation

Stick to the dumplings! They are made on site and taste excellent! The atmosphere and service is also a high. Overall, we have tried other things (noodles and meats) but they were disappointing in comparison with this restaurant star. My recommendation is therefore focused on what this place makes best: buns. It’s not cheap but very worth it! The pork baps were my favorites. Plenty of veggies and sweet options as well.

Had an amazing time at Din Tai Fung Canary Wharf! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. A big shoutout to David, our server, who really made the experience special. He was super attentive, friendly, and professional, always checking in to make sure everything was perfect. His recommendations were spot on too. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and top-quality food. Definitely coming back!

Upon arrival, we were seated very quickly. A lovely Chinese young lady took our orders and got all we asked for. Food was served timely. Soup dumplings were hot. Everything is satisfactory especially the service. Dumplings were made on site and you can see the kitchen and how dumplings are made. Highly recommend this place if you like authentic Taiwanese food.

The food is incredible. The most delicious beef and noodle dish I've had in a long time! You can witness the range of dumplings being made fresh in front of your eyes behind a glass screen in the middle of the restaurant. The staff could not be more friendly and so quick to react in terms of clearing dishes etc. The lighting is good and the music provides privacy for conversations but isn't too loud. Will definitely come back here!

Excellent taiwanese restaurant. I went to this place based on a recommendation and, unless I find better, it’s now my favorite dim sum spot. Everything was delicious and full of flavor. It’s a bit on the expensive side, but definitely worth it. The restaurant also has an open kitchen (with a window) and is very clean. The staff is lovely.

I was recently on a business trip to London and was thrilled to discover that Canary Wharf has a Din Tai Fung location! I had tried to get a reservation in both Las Vegas and NYC before, without success, so this was a real treat. We booked online for a group of eight but soon learned the reservation system only allows up to seven guests. We made two reservations for four, and upon arrival, the host kindly explained that next time we can simply leave a note on the reservation, and they’ll seat us together. They were still able to accommodate our full group with only a short ten-minute wait—very much appreciated! The service was fantastic from start to finish. After everyone ordered cocktails (fabulous, by the way — I had the Shiso Lowball), I placed our food order for the table. Our server was extremely patient and offered excellent suggestions on both quantity and menu options. Highlights included the Pork Xiao Long Bao, Prawn & Pork Shao Mai, and Shredded Pork & Egg Fried Rice — but honestly, everything we tried was incredible. Thank you, Din Tai Fung Canary Wharf, for a fabulous and truly memorable dining experience!

I went there on a whim and do not regret it. I had no reservation and was seated straight away and was served by Mo, who was attentive for the whole hour and service superb. I ordered quite a bit and every single one of the dishes were delicious. The dumplings were so good, I had to try another set and was not disappointed. There was 1 piece missing from my set due to it being broken and they replaced it. The cocktails were really good. I tried the chilli oil margarita and it was really nice. The little spice to it added a little kick and was pleasant. Everything was delicious and I enjoyed every bit. Will definitely visit again.

Firsts things first, David (spelling?) was an incredible host. This man needs a raise or at least a bonus. Seriously give this man something, he was fantastic. The good was superb. It was so good, that I couldn't even do the table conversion expected when you're in a group. I was real quiet enjoying the symphony of flavours introduced to my taste buds. The crab and veg, I think, dumplings were amazing and some sort of noodles that you can see in the photo we're my favourite. The chicken was sensational. The yozu cocktail was the perfect compliment to the dish and if you don't drink, the iced tea will do you wonders. Personally, I like a more dim setting for my restaurant, with the lighting, but other that, 9/10 would recommend. Good value for money too!!
