Unfortunately, I came across this place while visiting my mother at the hospital. I had no idea the current owner was the owner of Tower Diner. They have beautiful seating outside, providing the weather is nice. There's plenty of seating. I came here two times. I noticed Saturday is really crowded. Service was on point. The food was so amazing. The drinks were great. My favorite is the lollipop chicken wings. The meat was so tender, and it literally fell off the bone and so full of flavor. The margarita pizza was a winner as well. Once you're done eating in this place, make sure you order their ice cream and warm brownie. There's music playing in the background as you're eating your food and having your drinks. Overall, the atmosphere is great. I'd like to come to this diner under better circumstances in the near future and I will.

I LOVE this place, it’s a must go. Every penny you spend at this place it’s very worth it! The food is absolutely delicious, we go here often and always it’s the best. We usually do take out which is great, but sitting inside, eating and relaxing is SOOO much better. The staff is very friendly, specially the manager Rose she is great. Today we tried two new things: the sangria and the pumpkin cheesecake. We also had the skirts stake and the rigatoni a la vodka -I cannot recommend enough. We eat here frequently it’s one of my favorite spots. Also here is a picture of the cheesecake, I could not resist trying it before I remembered to take the picture!

Google
The steak was tender and juicy, cooked to perfection, and truly the highlight of the meal. The brunch menu had a great variety of options, and everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a comfortable spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and made sure we felt welcome throughout our visit. Overall, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this place for brunch — perfect for a casual outing with friends, family, or even a special occasion.

Google
Nice ambiance I loved the outdoor. The food was good I went there many times We got french toast pancakes and couple of drinks. They are a bit slow in serving food. And staff is friendly. Overall is was nice

Google
The place is beautiful, with a good atmosphere. You can sit at the bar, and they also have outdoor seating. I ordered chicken and waffles, which were fine. The service could have been better, but I'll visit soon to try more of the menu.

Google
I love their food. They have different options that can be hit or miss but their classics are excellent. Burgers and pancakes are amazing! Boozy milkshakes are delicious too.

Google
The ambiance was nice, service from wait staff was attentive and well paced for the amount of people in the restaurant. The menu had variety and something for everyone there. The food was delicious and the portions were generous.

Google
I really enjoyed this place as a breakfast spot with my wife. The service was fast, efficient, and very friendly. The menu is your classic American diner style, but they also offer some unique options – I tried the steak and fries, and it was delicious! The restroom was spacious and clean, and overall, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. A great spot for a morning date.

Yelp

Yelp
Brunch at Dinerbar was really good. It was a spot that I found randomly on Yelp while looking for brunch in the area. Parking is a little bit difficult so you may have to circle a few times or just wait around because people are coming in and out of the diner, so you will definitely be able to get one of their parks. Upon entry, we were greeted by the host and he was really nice. We also happened to meet the restaurant owner who was such a really sweet older man. He was from Greece. We were seated at booth as our party was of three. We had sangria on the table as well as the holiday mimosa which had cranberries rosemary and a candy cane on the glass. It tasted really good. We had pancakes with berries, the brunch burger, which had cheese and bacon, lettuce, and tomatoes, as well as the steak and eggs brunch entrée. Everything tasted so good. The burger was well prepared the french fries that came on the side were perfect not too soft not too hard and they weren't salty. The pancakes were the perfect amount of fluffiness and the berries were fresh that is always a plus. The steak was well prepared and the eggs, you can get the eggs however your want, so mine were scrambled hard. Overall we really enjoyed going to Dinebar and will definitely be return . I highly recommend them for brunch and I look forward to it maybe for lunch or dinner someday.

Yelp
I didn't dine in but rather ordered from their take out bar. I had the chicken parm panini with fries. They have an extensive take out menu and the service was quick - took about 10 mins for my food to be ready. The fries were good but the parm was lacking in sauce. I would be back to try more items!

Yelp
I schlepped all the way out to Rego Park. Da doo ron-ron-ron, Da doo ron-ron. Waited too long to try this spot. Da doo ron-ron-ron, Da doo ron-ron. Inside was modern, it looked so sleek. Da doo ron-ron-ron, Da doo ron-ron. Ordered something for brunch, menu not so bleak. Da doo ron-ron-ron, Da doo ron-ron. Yeah, the food was good. But, not the way it should. Then, when I wanted more. Da doo ron-ron-ron, Da doo ron-ron. I knew what I was eating. Da doo ron-ron-ron, Da doo ron-ron. Ordering more would be deceiving. Da doo ron-ron-ron, Da doo ron-ron. I bit into an eggshell. Da doo ron-ron-ron, Da doo ron-ron. All was not very well. Da doo ron-ron-ron, Da doo ron-ron. Yeah, now I wanted out. Too many corridors to be mucking about. I left this trendy joint with a mild tip. Da doo ron-ron-ron, Da doo ron-ron. Not coming back here, not worth the long trip. Da doo ron-ron-ron, Da doo ron-ron.

Yelp
Good service, excellent food. The French toast tower was moist, fluffy, and coated with delicious brown butter. The short rib was tender and the potatoes cooked perfectly. Good coffee

Yelp
I was craving for Rosa's sangria today. Made it all the way from Manhattan to see my favorite manager. Always a warm welcome here. When service is good the food tastes better. Highly recommend to try Rosa's sangria and Branzino fish 10/10!!!

Yelp
Stopped by Dinerbar to have Saturday brunch with a friend. She lives in Queens and I drove up to visit so this was the closest restaurant that I saw have good reviews. While I only had the beet salad and added grilled shrimp (which was so filling), I observed all of the other food that was coming out looking quite delish. My friend had the chicken and grits and she said it was really tasty and it was also equally as filling. The inside ambiance is very inviting. Honestly, you can be stylishly chic or casual and still comfortable. I love all of the red that makes the place pop. The service from everyone was accommodating. Everyone was kind and friendly. When we were being taken to our table, the host leading us noticed it had not been clean yet and immediately stopped us, asked us to a wait a sec while he got it cleaned up. We were the seated less than a minute later. Out waitress was patient as we looked through the menu - which honestly everything sounds so good you want everything. Of course, I settled on light (or I thought I was). Last note, surprisingly LOTS of vegetarian options. At least more than I typically see on a menu at a restaurant that is vegan. Great dining experience and I do plan to visit again next time I visit!

Yelp
Metered Parking. Greeting From Nick was pleasant. Nice and clean, great music. The food was pretty good, I had Bacon Avocado Lettuce NO TOMATO on Multigrain bread with fries and a egg on the side and a Cranberry Mimosa. My sister had Bacon cheddar burger with fries and a Bloody Mary. Everything was pleasantly good. I do recommend this place. I will rate it as a 3/1.2

Yelp
Firstly, let me start off by saying I love a good Diner! So my bias is upfront now that that's out the way let me just say I enjoyed my first brunch at this location more than expected. Even though there's a bit of a wait the hosts were cordial and came to check on my party with updates and antidotes that carried throughout our service once seated. There's a bar with TVs for the sports enthusiasts and the menu was quite extensive. I enjoyed my meal so much forget to take pics. Great atmosphere for the whole family.

Yelp
Legit old school diner service with a new school diner feel. It's modern with an easy menu that tastes great!

Yelp
My favorite place! Service is fantastic! Food is outstanding, and the owner is the sweetest lady. If you need a quiet night out to relax you are never rushed out the door. If you need a night out with your friends hangout at the bar and enjoy a special cocktail.

Yelp
My favorite spot in Queens! The owner, manager and entire staff make you feel like family. A wide variety of options, all delicious. A unique diner feel while also being a bit more upscale. The bartenders are very friendly and generous. Love it here!!

Yelp
Was looking for a crowd pleaser with a big group (8 adults + 4 kids). I had driven by this spot a few times and hadn't thought much of it despite it being a cute corner designation. But in the end, this totally fit the bill. There was a tad confusion about our reservation timing (probably my fault, if I'm being honest), but the staff was able to accommodate us incredibly. In the end, I was super impressed with the staff's ability to serve our crew, with children running around and a constantly changing demand of apple juice vs more napkins vs extra ketchup. The menu itself can seem overwhelming, but it really did meet everyones needs and there is something for anyone. I went with the d-bar wrap with chicken sausage, which was fairly decent. Not amazing but fit the bill. And the greens were nice. The price was a bit higher for a diner but probably in line with what is expected for the area. Overall, I think it's a great option for a diverse and large party with kids, as it will be a successful experience.

Yelp
Break the fast after sn appointment with a former colleague/friend. She shared history of the site which had hosted memorable occasions. The location had sentimental value from the previous life as a sit down Chinese restaurant. Booth seating was comfortable. Menu options were extensive. I opted for The Standard with scrambled eggs, sausage, wheat toast and the threescore of home fries (sweet potato/red potato/white potato). My friend had the breakfast sandwich with a delightful pot of tea. We were happy with our choices and cleared our plate to prove it. The servers were attentive checking for when we were ready to order to how was everything.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came in at around 10:30 AM on a Sunday. Quick service, filling meals, good presentation. We also got two hot chocolates which weren't half bad. The complimentary water was refreshing as it's kept iced. The only thing is we came with a 5 year old and requested apple juice which was given to us in a tall glass. I was hoping they would maybe have a closed plastic cup for kid friendly use, other than that it was a good experience! Staff was kind and attentive.

Yelp
FOOD POISONING First time customers with my partner and we went to go get some DINNER & BRUNCH which was steak and beef burger with sweet fries & French toast with bananas, onion rings with a side of pesto sauce, grits with bacon and cheese and a load of side order of the yuck stomachs 1. My onion rings had long black hair in it 2. My waiter asked me a little bit too many times if everything was all right which made me suspicious that they have gotten a few Hasty reviews or complaints and I've been to a lot of establishment before and I've never been asked that many times if my food is alright 3. I was on the verge of throwing up after I left the restaurant and assumed it was just acid coming up from all the food I've ate , but sure enough the next morning I woke up throwing up all while having to make multiple bathroom pit stops 4. The female's bathroom was disgusting the second star closest to the sink had what I would assume is the previous customers leftovers from their bowel movement on the seat I have never been to a place as such that had me questioning if I wanted to use the bathroom here and this was after I ate 5. The owner and the workers of this establishment please don't leave a comment underneath my review I could care less about your condolence to my situation and your big great apology it's not going to change the fact that my stomach is turning as I'm writing this on the toilet it's not going to change the fact that there was a damn hair in my onion rings when I got home after taking some home it's not going to change the fact that you have s*** communication between your employees I worked in a restaurant before and we on the clock made sure everything was good clean the bathrooms make sure we restock the bathrooms made sure that everything was down to the t and it wasn't as fancy as your restaurant / diner If you really want to keep diners alive you should really be on top of your kitchen staff because this is not the first review I have saw with someone complaining or mentioning that there was a hair in your their food and they went home sick . I will call HR and I will call to food department to explain to them how disgusting I feel right now

Yelp
Came here for brunch a few months ago with a friend who was in town and wanted to say the service here is really terrific! Super professional and attentive. We came without reservations and my friend was running late so while they couldn't seat us until the complete party was present given that it was prime brunch hour on a Saturday morning, the staff showed us to seats at the bar to wait while our friend arrived, and asked if we wanted to order any drinks while we waited. Once the party was complete we were seated immediately. The menu is pretty extensive with all sorts of breakfast and brunch plates both savory and sweet, wraps and sandwiches, salad, burgers, and full-on appetizers and entrees for those looking for something more formal. A touch on the pricier side for these parts though pretty in line with recent inflation in the past year. The food is solid traditional American brunch and diner food with a smattering of creative liberties. Between the three of us we ordered the Standard $16 (two eggs, toast, home fries, and subbed out regular pork sausage for chicken apple sausage), the poblano braised short rib hash $25 (with two eggs, toast, roasted peppers and onions, crispy potatoes and poblano hollandsise), and a California wrap $15 (egg whites, avocado, tomato, pepper jack cheese, green salad). The portion sizes were reasonable and we enjoyed the food. I would prob give food a 3.5 and the extra half star for the great service. They came in to check on our table a couple times during the meal, refill water, bring us ketchup, etc.

Yelp

Yelp
Packed for brunch hours. Got seated quick though. Food was satisfactory and filling. Turkey was dry in the sandwich and same with the sausage. Would come back to try the other food. Service was attentive and fast. The restaurant does look like it is maintained well.

Yelp
Love coming to dine bar! Ambiance is always good, service is great and the food is delicious!!! I recommend them for birthdays too!
google avatar

Kylie T.

Yelp
I got the fish and chips which was a bit mushy inside and out and just too salty. My family got the chicken sandwich and said it wasn't bad wasn't great. The vodka pasta was solid, the salad was good (dressing was awesome), and the french onion soup was the best thing I had. The ambience was lovely and our server was attentive with refilling our drinks.
google avatar

Richa T.

Yelp
Came here the other day for brunch and this place was a great find!! I ended up having one of their spiked milkshakes and it was just divine. A perfect pick me up for the day. I also ended up trying the fruity pebble pancakes. Okay, not what I would have usually expected but it was an interesting twist on a classic breakfast dish. You could walk right past this place and not realize what you're missing! Great for large groups and very conveniently located next to the R line. Not great areas for parking though. I will definitely come back pretty soon! IG: QueenOfAdventureNYC

Yelp
This was a grubhub order for a Cobb salad. It was so good. The chicken came separately and was warm. Real bacon and a ton of avocado. It also had fresh roasted corn and olives and real blue cheese. It also had a delicious basil vinegar dressing. Found my local Cobb salad order. Would definitely order again.

Yelp
Thank you again DINERBAR for another amazing meal ! You never disappoint. Will be back time and time again !

Yelp
Diner soup with a Contemporary look. Fancy Diner and very inviting. Great service classic diner food , with new dishes. If you just landed at LaGuardia airport, this is 15 minutes away. Parking is a pain in the butt but you won't regret it. I had the BLT it was delicious. The fries were a little cool but it's OK. I came in for the sandwich not the fries coffee was great and the service was impeccable, I highly recommend this place
google avatar

Kerriann G.

Yelp
So....i wanted the shrimp and grits. The server told me kindly that he'd recommend the chicken and waffles. The chicken was pretty gross. It tasted like something old that had been microwaved a few times. I ate half the waffle when a huge fly came over and flew on the food and wouldn't get away. The server asked me if it just got there to which I replied yes, then he said, "oh okay". He asked me if I was liking my food and I told him it tasted weird. He looked at the plate for a few minutes and responded that he could Dswap it out but next time I have to let him know before I start eating. I told him I had no intention of swapping out the dish, I hadn't touched the chicken and Just wanted to throw the entire order away. He came back with the $30 check. I feel like they could've comped me even five dollars or refilled my tea as I threw away the entire plate. $30 down the drain for some really bad food. I want to say maybe they're having an off day, it it was just a really bad experience. Would never have guessed from the personable greeting I believe I got from the owner when I was outside.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, my first impression was that how professional team welcome you into a great lunch service, but unfortunately food was not what I was expecting from the kitchen, I've been 20 years in food industry and as a chef I will lovely give some clues and recommendations to the kitchen team, crepes came out way too heavy stuffed with blueberry compote, the crepe itself had a wonderful taste I love it, omelette came out over cooked, it shouldn't be cooked that extremely because it looses his texture and taste, pancakes good taste, I like Managment attention here, good job team, I definitely will give a try again, I do believe they can adjust some details here. Your business has a great potential of growth. Thank you Luis Exc. Chef & consultant albert10138393@yahoo.com

Yelp
This space used to be occupied by a Chinese restaurant for years. It has since been renovated and turned into an "upscale diner". What I mean by that is this is not your typical old school diner that hasn't changed in decades. It looks modern and hip and suitable for a date. The prices are actually reasonable and comparable to other diners in Queens. The food was good too. Their burgers are very big and juicy and definitely hit the spot. Like most diners, the menu is large too and features all kinds of sandwiches, pasta, seafood and more. I wouldn't mind coming back to try something else.
google avatar

Teresa D.

Yelp
The food was very good. The restaurant was clean and well appointed in a central location. Parking is non existent. The service however, left a lot to be desired. It was slow, the waiter made a mistake with the order. When asked for more milk and butter i was totally ignored. You may have better luck. Good luck

Yelp
I cannot say enough good things about Dinerbar. I've been coming here regularly for about three years and since they first day I've eaten there, it's been amazing. I remember walking in and feeling such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The decor is beautiful and has a modern twist on an American diner. I love that Dinerbar is upscale while still feeling homey. It's such a great feeling to have such a gem in the neighborhood because it offers so many options! You can come here with your family and have a lovely Sunday brunch or you can come here after work with friends and unwind with a cocktail. It's such a versatile restaurant and EVERYTHING I've eaten here has been absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the sangria here. It is the best sangria I've ever had. It is delicious, refreshing and has the perfect amount of alcohol and fresh fruit. One of the owners, the lovely Rosa, makes the sangria herself with her own secret recipe. She is a true gem of this restaurant as well. She always greets her customers with a warm smile and a compliment. I have rarely seen such warm customer service and it makes this place feel like home.

Nicoletta V.

Yelp
I never review places but I finally have to speak my truth on this and not gate keep my favorite diner! This diner is my absolute go-to spot, and I can't recommend it enough! The service here is top-notch! Every time I visit, the staff is incredibly kind and attentive. They always check in to make sure everything is perfect, which I really appreciate. It's such a relief to be able to order or ask for something extra without waiting for long periods of time for someone to come around. The menu is amazing. It's unique and fun, with something for every craving you have without being overwhelming. The food always hits the spot, and the trendy vibe of the place never disappoints. What truly sets this diner apart is the ambiance. It feels so homey, and the people there make you feel like you're part of a family. It's the kind of place you can count on for a great experience every time. Highly recommended!

Yelp
OMG where do I even start!!! First time back since pre-covid and its even better than I remembered if that's even possible. This is not your ordinary diner, instead they serving up quality freshly prepared entrees but at standard diner pricing. There's not a single entree on their menu I wouldn't recommend and each accompanying side dish and salad is made from scratch. I just don't have enough good things to say about this establishment. The staff is equally wonderful and as you can see, this place is super clean. Absolutely will be back soon. KEEP UPTHE GREAT JOB.

Yelp
Very good beet salad. Salad had red and yellow beets plus candied walnuts and blackberries
google avatar

Royce L.

Yelp
This place is great especially now since most of the diners are gone in the area. I would describe it as a higher end diner. Their menu is extensive much like a diner but they have a little more flair in some of the options available. That being said, it is a little pricier that most diners. The diner itself has a great vibe and part of that is the staff there. Very nice and accomodating the times I've dined in. They also deliver which I take advantage of as well. The breakfast menu here is really good and of course they serve it all day. They also have a full service bar with plenty of choice cocktails as well.

Yelp
Always 100% on the food no bad meal!!!! I'm always happy to go there. The AC needs to be way colder!!!! It's too stifling!!!
google avatar

Lesley O.

Yelp
The menu options are eclectic and the food quite delicious. I ordered the California omelette and it is stuffed with avocado, mushrooms, tomatoes and pepper Jack cheese, but I subbed it for Swiss instead. It was a perfectly cooked omelette and very tasty. I especially enjoyed the tri-colored potatoes because it's not often you will have sweet potato in home fries; it was a very nice and welcome change. The ambiance is very clean and very nice and the service attentive; however pre-bussing is not a priority it seems as we sat with our plates in front of us for quite a while before I decided to take care of it myself and place it at the end of the table to signal it can be taken. The coffee is very good though and I appreciate the metal pot given so it never runs out and thus, I give 4 stars overall.

Yelp
Great service and amazing food. I had the Napoleon French toast tower and it was delicious. Marscarpone cream, fresh berries, bananas with a strawberry sauce. I wish I lived closer because I would order it every morning for breakfast.

Yelp
We have found our new diner of choice! Mad we hadn't tried it sooner! The food is fantastic, great drinks and lovely staff! Quick service and very attentive! We have been every week since we've discovered it!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I got a weekday lunch over the summer and sat on the wrap-around outdoor space. We were some of the only people dining on this given day, and they were just the right amount of attentive. The menu is massive - so massive that it's almost intimidating. Note that whatever you get is going to be just as massive, so you will easily have leftovers. I had one of the best beet salads I've had in a while here ($16). It included blackberries, which was a nice touch. Truly a massive salad. Next time, I'll be sure to get a milkshake! They look great. (And they have spiked milkshakes - even better!)

Yelp
Meh. I'm confused on how this place has such a high rating. I went here for dinner last night , I was really excited but after the first dish I was let down. Food was trash , best thing we ordered was a beer . Truffle Mac &Cheese Bites- TASTELESS. Legit tasted like I was eating cardboard. Margherita Flatbread- Oh man , this tasted like they went to the supermarket and bought ellos pizza , came back and popped it into the microwave then served it to us. Horrible and once again we got cardboard food. Steak fajita- best part of the dish was the guacamole and maybe the white rice. Steak had no seasoning. DBar Burger Deluxe- Diners are normally known for their burgers , but this was not it. Disappointing. Tasteless once again . So, do yourself a favor and skip this place if you're looking for food with seasoning. Because you won't find here! Ps. At least the service was decent , that gave this review two stars.

Yelp
I came here for a birthday celebration today. I have to say from the time I walked in, till being served, the staff and owners make sure you are taken care of. The food tasted like it was made from your moms kitchen. The owner and his wife indulge all customers as if they have known you. I will definitely be coming back next weekend! It is such a pleasure to go and eat and have EXCELLENT customer service!!

Yelp
Thoroughly enjoyed our brunch at Dinerbar. Seating is as versatile as it gets: inside, outside in a closed patio (+ heaters) or outside in the open with umbrellas. Service is prompt and personable. We were checked on frequently and served with a smile. Food arrived quickly and was exactly what we needed: diner-style comfort food, fresh fruit/juice and fair portions. A minuscule complaint is the lack of oat milk, but otherwise a truly great experience
