"With their light, thin-crust pizzas and the lively - and very red - space, Dinette taught the city that sometimes it’s fun to get dressed up and spend $20 on a pie. When this place opened in 2008, their prosciutto-arugula pizza was revolutionary, and it remains one of the best dishes in the city. Dinette still holds up and it’s a great place to go with anyone you’re close enough to say, “Sorry, I don’t want to share.”" - Madeline Quigley

Had a really lovely time here. Our appetizers were great, we got the kale salad and the winter squash soup. I wasn't expecting the soup to be SOO flavorful. Our pizza was good and our rice pudding desert was amazing.

By far my favorite restaurant in Pittsburgh. This is not a traditional pizzeria, though the pizzas are authentic in a creative way. The pizza is thin crust, there are usually 5-6 different types on the menu, which changes daily. Ingredients are of the highest quality, always seasonal. The appetizers are wonderful, always fresh and a great companion to the pizzas. Lots of vegetarian options. The wine list is short but very well curated and extremely well priced. They also serve the best rice pudding I have ever tasted with seasonal toppings. The staff is delightful, the decor exquisite and I love that they really care about sustainability.

Great place to go for some unique pizzas that are really good. I had a salty egg and chive pizza that was awesome, but it's hard to beat a good traditional margarita pizza sometimes, which unfortunately they don't serve. It's a no tipping restaurant so the prices look high, but what you end up paying will not be much more than what you'd pay at a normal place. When I went, the service wasn't top notch, I though they forgot about us for a while... but I'm sure that's not the usual experience.

A unique pizza place. You will not find "standard" pizza on the menu. However, their pairings are very good. The crusts are usually unique as well. It's a fun and delicious take on pizza, and a hip place to grab a bite. I just am not sold that I like to variate from "normal" pizza

One can only have pizza here (several topping options). If you only have one item, it should be the absolute best ever. Sadly, it failed. I had the beet green pizza. Flavor was good, but the crust was burnt and a bit too crispy, there was not enough sauce, ditto cheese and greens. I truly appreciate what Chef Finn is doing in paying workers a living wage so no tipping is required. But, the wait staff was a bit unenthusiastic. I arrived toward the end of the evening, so place was not crowded. We requested a table in the corner (it was for four, we were two). The hostess rather curtly said that was usually for larger parties. I replied that since it was late and there were multiple open tables, perhaps it would not be a problem. She did let us sit there. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and will probably give it a second chance.

I love this place! It's the kind of place where you can pick anything on the menu and enjoy it. It's also a place where you leave full but not uncomfortably stuffed. The ingredients are always fresh and (I think) local. Some reviewers mentioned the only entrees are pizza. If I'm not in the mood for pizza, I like to start with the olives and (complimentary) bread sticks, then get a few appetizers to share. I have never once tried something I didn't like, and it is enough food. The grilled shishito peppers dish is amazing, and I don't even normally like peppers! Knowing that the employees are well-paid and taken care of is wonderful and extremely rare. Makes me feel good supporting this restaurant. The wine selection is fantastic, and even better, the servers and bartender are great at describing the wine and helping you choose. Last thing I love about this place is that you can grab a groumet pizza and a beer for less than $20, or you can have a leisurely food and wine adventure for hours, trying different things. Highly recommend!

Best pizza I've had in a long, long time. Fresh ingredients and a delicious crispy crust. Cold, crisp local beer to go with. Simple, elegant and understated decor. Attentive and impeccable service. We came from out of town and had this recommended by a local. This should be packed every night, but that would probably ruin it, wouldn't it?

We shared 5 different pizzas amongst our group and no one really loved any of them. Many of the flavor combos either didn’t make sense, or just weren’t there at all. At the price point we really expected it to be a lot better.
