Ding Japanese Cuisine

I was excited when another sushi option opened on college avenue. It after seeing their online menu and pictures when it first opened, I went in with extremely low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised sushi was fresh and beautifully presented. The problem lies in the atmosphere and deco of the place. It does not match the quality of the food. The vibe is very dive restaurant. It took me a while to convince my husband, a sushi snob, to try Ding, but he is also a fan now. If the restaurant was nicer, we would go more often. We do delivery sometimes.

Recently checked out this new sushi spot in Rockridge. I was pleasantly surprised and will definitely go again. The service was very friendly and the kitchen / sushi bar does a good job. I hope this place sticks around because I'm sure it will become increasingly popular.

Wow! This restaurant is far from its previous location occupant, The Claremont Diner. Ding is certainly an updated and more modern addition to the Rockridge dining scene. There's a really nice selection of sushi rolls and sake to enjoy at lunch and dinner. Plus, the staff is extremely and friendly, especially the sushi chef.

Came in on a more quiet night to have dinner. Service is amazing and they're very attentive to what i needed. Sushi chef even gave me a complimentary sashimi! Food turned out good and affordable.

This excellent Japanese restaurant is reasonable really tasty and they have some wonderful Sushi and delicious soups. I'm also very moved by the friendly and pleasant the staff are and generous with little bits of extras here and there as well.

A step up in both quality and quantity over other College Ave sushi. Our new go-to for Japanese in the hood.
