Dinghy Dock Restaurant

The food was ok but the service really slow. I think this place can do a bit better with the service if the waiters would stop chatting with each other and concentrate more on the customers. It took a great deal of time to get their attention initially and then some more every time we needed something. Also, some dishes were really good (Grilled Octopus and Mahi Mahi with the bean salad, for example) but some others (like the Coconut Shrimp, fried Red Snapper, Burger or Steak) were just Ok. Prices were comparable with other places but based on the above it feels overpriced (on a restaurant you pay for both, food and service). Good location I might say over a nice dock facing the water.

I recently visited Dinghky Dong Restaurant. The food was good, and the dishes were flavorful. The atmosphere was laid-back, which made for a relaxed dining experience. The ocean view was a nice touch. Accessing the menu required scanning a QR code, which could be inconvenient for some guests. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Atmoshpere here is just gorgeous, such a nice and cozy place, tucked in, right on the water. Staff was super nice and friendly, everybody speaks English and we had just a great time. The was was delicious, fresh seafood products, can’t go wrong with anything. It was a perfect eay to and a beautiful day.

Feeding the tarpon after dinner was super fun. The atmosphere is wonderful, right on the water. Food was good, not the best in culebra but good.

The view and atmosphere alone is worth coming here. We had some grouper bites for an appetizer they were very delicious and fresh. Had the kingfish and spinach lasagna both dishes were amazing especially the fish, it's just so fresh. Can't get enough arroz as habichuelas they are just made perfect. Come in the evening and enjoy the perfect dinner with your partner. Had three bushwacker cocktail drinks, highly recommend it.

Food was okey-ish, but definitely overpriced. The service was not amazing either. Make sure to call before you go to check if they're open -we went at a day that the restaurant was supposed to be open, but it wasn't- Go 30-60 min before the time you want to eat, because they're usually queue

I thoroughly enjoyed the dining experience, from the delightful food and inviting atmosphere to the impeccable service. The red snapper and crab dip were particularly delicious, although I would have appreciated more seafood options and less cheese in the crab dip. Additionally, the presence of sizable fish added a nice touch as we fed them with the snapper's head.

Absolutely the best food on the island. Great location right on the water. The tarpon come right up to you and want to be fed. The staff is excellent and whatever wait they quote you it probably won’t be that long!

Although the island of Culebra may be small, there are a few hidden gems scattered throughout; Dinghy Dock being one of them, without a doubt. While cruising around in our golf cart rental, we spotted Dinghy Dock and added it to our list of places we wanted to check out. That evening, we headed over for dinner. Upon arrival, there were several parties waiting outside and the quoted wait time was 30-45 mins. Luckily, the other parties were larger in size, so we snagged two spots at the bar relatively quickly. The bartender was prompt to greet us, which I always appreciate. For starters, I ordered the crab dip. It arrived hot, looked great, and I really enjoyed it. Moving on to entrees, I ordered the salmon with bean salad, and a side house salad. My salmon was cooked perfectly, tasted fresh, and exactly what I hoped it would be. Throughout our experience, the bartender was attentive and efficient. Admittedly unexpected, this was probably the best meal I had on our whole vacation. Food and service aside, you can't beat the breathtaking view of crystal blue water, sprinkled with boats, against a backdrop of mountainous forests. For me, the serenity is humbling and energizing. PS. At the edge of the dock there are tarpon fish you can feed in the water & they go wild!

You have to stop at Dinghy Dock if you're in Culebra! The hours are a bit odd but what hours aren't in Culebra! It's a great spot for cocktails and apps. The coconut shrimp and bushwackers are definitely a great combo there! You meet so many people traveling from all over the world so I would recommend sitting at the bar (facing the ocean if you can) so you can meet people and watch all the boats coming in. My favorite part is that boats and jetskis pull right up to the restaurant to eat! It's a Culebra staple for sure!

The chillo frito was super fresh. One of the best I've had. Still the best restaurant in Culebra.

Our waitress was not attentive at all, but some of the others were great & did a better job than ours. The food was great, everyone enjoyed their meal & the location of the restaurant made it a great dinner. Although there are a lot of mosquitos since it's by the water so be sure to have some bug spray.

A great spot with island vibes. Right on the water and you could see all the fish swimming around. Our server was amazing, super friendly and made recommendations on the food. The food and drinks were all great. Gluten Free: Was worried we would not find any gluten free options on such a small island. However, this place was a hidden gem. Our server was very knowable, and walked us through the whole menu since items are not marked. There were a decent amount of options and the server gave us confidence in our ability to eat there.

I spent 2 days in Culebra and ate both days at this restaurant. Great view, awesome service and the food...specially the beans were fantastic! They have a small menu but is full of great flavors.

There are big fish and birds that you can feed your food that you cant finish if you can't finish it but the food is realy good you can ask the fish.

Great service. Delicious food. Loved the hummus plate and mahi mahi dinner. If you like ginger beer, the honey mule is delicious.

Came here for dinner with my husband. We came at a good time because an hour later it looked like there was a long wait. It's conveniently located close to the ferry. It's nice and cool to be on the water. There a HUGE fish next to the dock that you can feed. We ordered some drinks that were delicious, I had a lemonade drink that was refreshing. We had coconut shrimp as an appetizer. I had the mahi mahi with the three bean salad and breadfruit tostones. My husband had the yellowtail fish and gave it to the big fish by the dock and they went bananas! We had a nice experience here, I recommend it!

I recently spent a week long vacation with my family in Culebra. We were concerned that Dinghy Dock wouldn't be open. Thankfully it was and were able to have dinner here one night. Excellent experience. The food was great. Everything was a hit, from the appetizers to the main courses to the dessert. We ordered fish and meat dishes and they were all excellent. The place was packed that night but that didn't affect the service. Our waitress was on point all evening. Kudos to her. I'm glad Dinghy Dock has survived these times and has come back strong. I believe this is the best restaurant in Culebra right now. Currently they operate on limited hours: Tuesday-Saturday from 2:30-8:30pm, closed Sunday and Monday. Don't know when or if they will update these hours.

The location is perfection. Nothing can beat the experience of eating a scrumptious meal while looking out upon the vast Culabrian bay. Entertainment is included in the meal price because there are many animals to feed, including via the salty breezy air or via the crystal clear Caribbean sea. Note: the black bean burger does not come with a bun but, what it lacks in bun it makes up in sheer luscious beefiness. If anyone can eat the whole black bean burger (bun not included) in one sitting I will personally pay you fifty dollars.

Food was delicious. Everything cooked perfectly. This place is popular. We got there early in the evening and there was a 15-20min wait, but we got called immediately. But there was still a line outside when we left. Service was nice and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere by the water. However, we thought the entrees were a little overpriced for what it is offered. Other than that, great place to go while in Culebra.

The food here was good. My group got the steak and shrimp, buffalo wings, caesar salad and some drinks. Everything was delicious. The pomegranate shots are recommended. The service was kind of slow and some people did seem passive aggressive but it was also somewhat busy too. Ambiance is lively and the tarpons were huge in the water.

During our four day stay in Culebra, our group of 9 ate here three times. Service is fantastic, the view is second to none, and the food is really excellent. Fresh salads, excellent seafood and fish, fun drinks. Really hard to imagine a better combination of factors.

We loved both our meals at Dinghy Dock! the burgers, steaks and fish were all awesome, with left overs, definitely try the breadfruit tostones and a bushwacker! The setting on the water is beautiful, the service friendly and by island standards didn't take very long. we plan to make this our departure night meal every visit!

Decent food, friendly service, fantastic atmosphere, decent drinks. If we would have only known, we would have stayed on the island and visited this as our evening watering hole.

This place is a bar on a bay trying to help you acclimate to this wonderful island of Culebra. It gives the tourist the vibe while serving you up a taste of Puerto Rico with a buzz to go along with it. If you order the whole snapper you get to feed its bones to the gang of tarpon hanging at the bay ---pretty unique experience.

The food was amazing, the fish was real fresh, I have been looking for that particular taste of fresh fish since I moved back to Puerto Rico, I will need to take more often the ferry! The host and waitresses were very attentive. I had the Mahi-mahi with Salad and "tostones", plantain fritters. The artichoke dip was exquisite! The Pita bread vey fresh! Only one issue, the flies were bothering only when the food showed up however, we need to remember that we are in a fisherman coast town, so problem with me there.

So happy to be back in Culebra! Not a lot of places open but this place knocks it out of the park! The food could not be any more fresh. I am almost positive they catch it right off the dock! At least it tastes that way. Fresh food, strong drinks and great staff!

Food was fresh and had lots of flavor - I had the coconut shrimp and the guava sauce it comes with is amazing! We had fast service and the views are beautiful. I love the big fish that you can throw your leftovers to!

From what we could tell, this seemed to be the place to eat in Culebra. Good food, reasonable service, nice atmosphere, and you can have fun feeding the tarpon your leftovers.

This place is so good! Try getting a spot by the water. The food was very good specially the snapper. A blend of local and other foods

If you have the time, this is where you want to come on Culebra. Awesome ambiance where you are 5ft from the water. There are these big 3ft wild fish that hang out next to the restaurant that people feed their leftover to and they snap and fight over them. We came here for two dinners because we liked it some much. The cheese butter steak with rice and beans is five stars. Drinks were well made and not over-poured Both of our dinners with drinks cost us $100 so come r Prepared to spend some money. The menu is somewhat limited so there's no real escaping it. But food and drinks and ambiance is top notch and well worth some dough. Best dining experience in Culebra

Stopped in for just a drink but decided to have dinner at the bar. Really enjoyed chatting with the friendly staff and were very pleased with the dinner. Believe it or not the cheeseburger was a standout. My grilled tuna was good but not quite as special. Beautiful view and fun spot!

We came by dinghy! I just don't think it's worth a 1.5 hour wait. The service was very good and the food average.

From the covered open air waterfront dining room to the incredible food, Dinghy Dock hit this dinner out of the park. I ordered the Churrasca, which is skirt steak, with mashed potatoes and three bean salad. It was amazing! The steak was cooked perfectly and I loved the chimichurri. I chose a side mashed potatoes, which were well seasoned and needed nothing added. I'm not a fan of beans to the bean salad wasn't up my alley but the others seemed to like it. I also tried a bite of my friend's snapper and it was the perfect combination of crispy skin and flaky fish. Personally, I would prefer the filet to the entire fish staring at me on the plate but it tasted incredible. My vegetarian boyfriend didn't have a lot of options so he settled for the vegetarian dish of the day, which happened to be veggie lasagna. He likes things spicy and thought his dish was greatly enhanced with some of the local hot sauce that our waiter brought over to the table. Since we were on vacation, I indulged with a Rum Punch, that was both tropical and cheap at $6.50. It's hard to find a mixed drink that isn't twice that price in San Diego! The open air ambiance of the dockside restaurant was amazing. I loved sitting outdoors with the roof to protect us from the rain and soaking in the slightly muggy but still comfortable night air. The giant fish off the dock were fascinating to watch, especially when they got treats of people's leftover fish and it turned into a feeding frenzy!

The ambiance is wonderful with pretty Caribbean decor and the tarpons and Frigate birds hovering above. We arrived before 5 and got our choice of tables. I recommend the whole fried snapper with rice and beans. Delicious!

Was looking forward to trying this place. Unfortunately, the person in charge of seating people couldn't manage the simple task of assigning tables correctly. Looked like a decent enough place but the service was terrible.

Ate here 2 nights in a row ... birth because the food was great and hardly anywhere else was open. Service was really friendly, especially sitting at the bar. Steak was fantastic. Fun to feed the fish (and birds). Not cheap ... $80 for 2 of us without any alcohol.

Good food, good service. Bummed that the burger, fajitas menu not available for dinner. Ordered the churrasca (skirt steak) with mashed potatoes and 3 bean salad. Not really find of cold 3 bean salad and the mashed potatoes didn't come with its own gravy. The steak was delicious. I guess pricing normal for the island at $30+ after tip for any entree. They charged $0.50 for glass of water without warning. I am offended by that personally.

Great spot the food and service were good drinks were cold and Wonderfull but the giant fish were particularly fun for the kids. I had the daily fresh catch, amazing we had fish bites, buffalo chicken empanadas and coconut shrimp all great, banana daiquiri, rum punch and mojito is to drink all around a great dinner! Definitely a place to eat!!

Good location, poor service. Got seated by the hostess who couldn't be bothered to walk us to our table--she said to find an empty round or square table downstairs, around the corner, and just pick one. We were seated at the same time as another party of 2, who was promptly greeted and served their drinks. 20 minutes go by and we ask our hostess where our server is. She points her out and says she will be right with us. Our server proceeds to ignore us, clean empty tables, chat with her coworkers, watch patrons feed the fish their leftovers over the dock, and check on her other tables multiple times. We left and went to a non waterfront restaurant, and we're happy with our decision.

This is by far the best restaurant I have been to on my trip to Puerto Rico. I can't say enough great things about this place! Not only was the food amazing, the staff was great. The manager offered our table a round of free drinks because we had been waiting a while for our food which was very nice. Our waitress was so kind and checked in on us to make everything was ok frequently.Pretty much everyone from my table ordered the grilled tuna. The tuna was fresh because it was caught the same day and it was absolutely incredible. The wasabi sauce and seaweed salad complimented the dish perfectly. We ended up coming back a couple days later because we couldn't resist. No matter what type of seafood you get at this restaurant it will not disappoint. Best restaurant in Culebra hands down. This is place is a must!!!

We came here almost every night for dinner! They had great cocktails, rotating specials, and of course fresh fish. You can feed the fish off the side of the deck as well. Really great spot for dinner! We had the spinach artichoke dip almost every night and they gave us gf bread for dipping. 10/10!

Be sure to come in person and reserve a table in advanced, this place fills up pretty quickly as it is one of the nicer establishments on the island. The owner and staff were extremely courteous and accommodating. The view from the dining room was truly breathtaking. The food was great and the service was timely and warm. I had an excellent meal and overall dining experience. I would definitely come back!

Great vibe and food! Make reservations for a party over 4 though. Food is fairly priced and everyone in my party enjoyed their food and drinks. Would recommend!

This place does not have any vegan options even though it pops up in the search. They have a section called veggie plate of the day, but it was more suited for vegetarians rather than vegans because the sauce was a cream. Service was a little slow but they were busy. The waitress was very nice and accommodating. She tried to be as helpful as she could, and her attitude was amazing so I have to rate it 4 stars for that. That guava salad is so good that I had two servings of it. I really could have had more, but left to go get something more filling. If you wants drinks and a salad then this place is good other than that the options are pretty much nothing. They cook their beans with ham so all there is would be white rice, and breadfruit. It had one of the better salads I have had in a while though!

The g/f came to this place and clamored on and on about how good it was. Today we arrived and were greeted warmly by the bartender. Sat down. Ordered a couple drinks and some appetizers. Chicken taquitos were nothing fancy. Something you would get in the frozen food section and deep fried. The crabcakes were on the salty side. But that's not the worst part. They were labeled "almost famous". These were NOT even Lump or fresh (seemingly fresh) crab. This seemed like it was out of can and tossed on a flag grill. The coco shrimp were okay. By far the best thing but sadly that doesn't say much. The coco was a nice addition. I have never had a CoCoa flavored shrimp. Is it worth going back for.... doubtful. I would probably try something else on the menu.

We had both lunch and dinner here. Lunch was typical beach food--a fried fish sandwich and crab cakes. Nothing special. Dinner was better and we were lucky we showed up 15 minutes before they started dinner at 5:45! The banana daiquiri is my favorite and I had the fish special, fried whole yellowtail snapper. It was tasty and the fried plantains were tasty too. The breeze was amazing and service excellent. The mahi mahi was also excellent. Peanut butter pie was our dessert and we grabbed it to go as we were stuffed.

This made for a very special final night on Culebra. We loved the Rum Punch to start, then we got the tuna with seaweed salad, guava bbq sauce pork ribs (WOW it's a lot of food for just $21), 3 bean salad (so good), plantains and mashed potatoes. For dessert we got the peanut butter pie. Everything was exceptional- the food, the service, the vibe. The art murals and colorful lights were lovely, and we especially loved feeding the 4 foot tarpon. If you do feed the tarpon, take note that they are apex hunters and prefer your leftover fish above all else!

So good! Food, cocktails, ambiance, and service. Everything is good and not overly pricey for what you get. VERY pleased with our experience!! Way to go, Dinghy Dock!!

It was great coming back here again! Food was delicious-as always. Fried whole red snapper is always our go to! Our waitress was awesome! And still fed our leftover seafood to the fish off the dock. Make sure to confirm hours-We were there on a Wednesday and Yelp had the hours listed that they opened at 11am but they didn't open until 2:30. Can't wait to come back again!

Dinghy Dock is the best restaurant on the island. The restaurant is located on an actual dock and the view during the day is gorgeous. The best seats in the house are by the edge of the dock where you can see tons of fish swimming in the clear blue water and a mountain backdrop with rows and rows of colorful homes. Everything we ordered was delicious, I loved the bbq chicken which was cooked in a tangy guava sauce and served with a crisp caesar salad. We ordered the ribs which were pretty large and filling. Everything was cooked perfectly. They have lots of tropical cocktails, the passionfruit mojito was my favorite.

Nice place to relax and have a couple of drinks. Food is good and so is the scenery. We had the jalapeno poppers and fried fish. The fish was so fresh and delicious. The poppers were served with a guava sauce, so you got a sweet and spicy pop. Very nice. If you want to relax, chill and enjoy some good food. Just come here.

While in Culebra, we visited the Dinghy Dock a few times for drinks. You can "park" your dinghy on their dock and have drinks (and food, although we did no try the food) while watching the tarpan. Great atmosphere right on the water and perfect cocktails (I especially liked the passion fruit daiquiri!).

This was a cool a place to eat, the food was delicious, the views were stunning and the vibe of the atmosphere was relaxing. The salsa music was on point! I had the the capitán fish, it was really good, fresh, and the breading had an excellent seasoning on it. They served a passion fruit mojito that I would recommend and their bizcocho de coquito was amazing! When in town, I will eat here once again.
