Great place to take your kids! The place was clean, and the staff were pleasant. They have different areas with displays and the dinos aren't too loud so our son wasn't scared. He had a blast. They have a coloring area where you can color a dinosaur and put your name on it, then it comes alive on a screen. They had a fossil area where kids could uncover the bones using brushes, and even an area where they can ride some dinos for a small fee. Great way to spend the day with your kids. We will definitely go again next year.

Visiting Dino Alive was an incredible experience! This attraction is perfect for anyone fascinated by dinosaurs. The exhibits are both educational and engaging, featuring lifelike dinosaur replicas that will amaze you with their details and movements. The interactive displays are great for children and adults alike, providing a hands-on learning experience about these ancient creatures. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, adding to the overall excellent visit. Whether you're a dinosaur enthusiast or just looking for a unique family outing, Dino Alive is sure to impress!

Probably great for kids but I was underwhelmed. Keep your expectations low and you will find some joy in the experience. The room with the underwater projections was a pleasant surprise. The size of Spinoza it and t-Rex were impressive. It’s just that we saw a play for the same price and the play was significantly more entertaining.

Google
We took our daughter there on a Friday morning, place was virtually empty, it was great! The dinosaurs are big and scary and look pretty life size. There is a place for kids to climb on the dinosaurs and ride them. We had a fun time!

Google
This was an amazing exhibit!! My almost 3 year old son was thrilled and my 11 year old niece loved it. The dinosaurs looked so real, their heads and tails move, and they blink!!! You are not rushed to get through the exhibit. Some people will take 30 mins, other will take longer, it's up to you. We were there for almost 2 hours, trying to pronounce the names of each dinosaur and admiring the detail.....you can even see their teeth!!! I love the activities they have for children as well. My son must have raced the dinosaurs 12 times, he loved it!!!! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The prices are more than reasonable for the VR and Dino riding. This concept was put together very well. Great for the entire family! Oh yeah, the parking was validated for the first 2 hours, just know your license plate number. Get your tickets while you can!!!

Google
Took my 4 yr old as a bdy treat who’s currently obsessed with dinosaurs and he loved it. We spent maybe 35-45 minutes there because he really enjoyed each exhibit and wanted to engage with each. He didn’t enjoy the virtual/ball throwing room at all, but raced the Dino at least 5x, wanted to ride two Dinos ($4 per ride,) and could’ve stayed in the store browsing for 30mins alone if I allowed it. It’s a good experience overall, kids under 8 would likely stay longer vs older would be done sooner. We went Sat evening and it wasn’t crowded which I appreciate. Worth the experience if your kids would enjoy Dinos.

Google
This place offered multiple types fun for kids. My grandson entered this place crying & screaming yet half way through the exhibit he was laughing & having great time. I really enjoyed the undersea exhibit & VR part of Dino Alive. The staff was knowledgeable about features, patient & helpful. I can't wait to come back w/ my other grandkids. The family package is the best deal to choose & comes w/ surprises for the little ones. 10+

Google
My son turned 11 today. He likes dinos. I was looking at something that made him happy. I didn't imagine this place was huge in the nation capital. We spent 2 full hours having fun at this place. Make sure you pay for your parking before you get or your vehicle will get towed.

Yelp
Thank You Sydney! My son and his friend enjoyed the rides and VE experience. The dinosaurs rides moved around. I wish they had move interactions and activities for the kids. But I think this is great for kids 6 years and younger maybe 3 if they love dinosaurs.

Yelp
My 3 year old nephew loves dinosaurs and enjoyed visiting Dinos Alive. As an adult I think there should be more interactive games or activities for the kids. You are really paying to look at different large dinosaur statues. Also, towards the end where they have the coloring section and other activities, the interactive screen to see your drawing wasn't working when I went. I can see children above the age of 6 definitely being bored after 10-15 minutes.

Yelp
This was a cool place. If you have a young paleontologist in the family this is a must visit. You can buy tickets before you arrive. There is parking available and comes with your tickets. It's also a short walk uphill from the nearest metro stop. Every interaction with the staff was pleasant. The VR experience at the end was cool for the kid. They have an app where you are supposed to be able to scan a QR code to have an interactive experience with the exhibits however the QR code is partly blocked by the frame on the sign and will not scan. I don't know if I think the price is fair for the VIP but I still think it's worthwhile for the kids. Overall it's a great do it one time if you have a kid really into dinosaurs.

Yelp
Paid $90 to go, but ended up getting the flu day before we were suppose to go. Would not refund or reschedule us. I would have accepted a rescheduling but they would not. Very upset ):

Yelp
Spent 100$ for 3 people in my group. Went with two other group of friends. Was able to go through the exhibit within 10 mins. Literally got to the end and said to each other, "that's it"? The front desk employee was nice. The staffers at the dinosaur ride was extremely rude; throwing curse words around because you feel inconvenienced? You're working with children, expect them to be really excited. you have to pay for the rides at the end. Two of the rides were out of order. there's a gift shop at the end as you exit. The merchandise was so sad. Two fossil sandboxes for the kids to use paintbrushes to dust the "fossils" was more fun for the kids than seeing the actual dinosaurs. Pretty disappointed with this event. Should not have been 33$ a person. I recommend families to instead check out a museum, especially since this is in DC. And also beware of the bathroom, almost got trapped in the bathroom bc the door had a old sliding bolt gate latch that was worn and would not open without force.

Yelp
I can even except paying $15 for this very underwhelmed experience, but $33 + tax is totally unacceptable. Three small rooms, with the dinosaurs that barely move and make a little noise and a below interesting play room for toddlers, in no way constitute a fee of $33. It's apparent you all could care less about creating a fun and exciting experience for the family's of the DMV, and more about ripping us off. I've seen your type of business before. You're here until you make a specific, bottom line profit and then you're OUT! Leaving another group of young folks out of work and an abandoned building. Shame on you.... (Oh, and in case you're wondering, yes, I will be posting this review as much as possible)... Have a great day.

Yelp
Not worth the price. Also, the VR experience was mediocre, too boring for everyone in our group (ages 5, 9, 11, 30 and 40). Should have been no more than $10 per person including the silly VR.

Yelp
Haven't even been yet because my mom gifted us 3 tickets which I've had the biggest headache trying to redeem through the Fever app that I have to use to redeem them. I've literally wasted hours trying to redeem the 3 tickets my mom already overpaid for and gifted us. They charge $36 for a gift card for 1 general admission ticket even though it's only $27.90 per ticket at the date and time we want to go. But the kicker is I have only been able to redeem 2 of the 3 tickets. Despite contacting Fever's customer service MULTIPLE times saying I can't redeem all the tickets, the issue STILL hasn't been resolved. I don't even want to go anymore after all this frustration. I wish I had told my mom not to waste her money on this.

Yelp
Great family outing! Easy to park and friendly staff. Even had a McDonald's on the corner for lunch afterward.

Yelp
I bought tickets for Dino's Alive as part of my son's birthday. I got the VIP tickets as it was a special occasion but what a waste of money. The first part is absolutely amazing, huge animated dinosaurs. Next there's a room where the kids can throw a ball at images projected onto the walls, wasn't great really. Next is a VR thing, was ok but my daughter didn't want to do it and it made my husband feel sick. Last they have "Dino rides", which you pay extra for, €3 each. I paid €83.60 for 4 VIP tickets. Very very overpriced. The only difference in the regular tickets to the VIP tickets is the VR thing included (it's €5 alone) and a poster or magnet per person, they don't have magnets so only posters available that are more of an advertisement than anything else. I asked could we put the €20 towards something decent cause the posters are shite. I was told no. We've now got 4 posters I'd say go, cause the actual dinosaur figures are fantastic but the rest isn't worth it. I left feeling ripped off. Also , in the VR area there's a very strong smell of cigarette smoking, it's right beside the kids dinosaur rides.

Yelp
It's great for 4years and under. Anyone older will get bored and aside the sound and the dinosaurs moving. It was not interactive as they made it out to be. It took us 20 min to get though the place. So the D.C. show not really recommend specially if you reside far.

Yelp
They false advertise. Don't buy tickets online, they are lying about you be able to reschedule in case you have a emergency and can't make it. Waste of money , worst customer service ever !!!

Jim R.

Yelp
Way over priced for what you get. Half hour and your done! Then extra charges to sit on a plastic dinosaur and extra prices to do virtual. Cost vs experience does not match!! Displays ok, not much educational for children.

Yelp
We went at an off-peak time that was also during a 40% off sale and therefore ended up paying just under $15/per person plus $4 for one dinosaur ride at the end. Even that price, though, was extremely high for the experience. The set-up is primarily animatronic dinosaurs in front of camouflaged background with lights. It is somewhat interesting when you first enter but the novelty quickly wears off as (for those that work) the motions are limited repetitive. There is also a room where the underwater projection is supposed to respond to being hit by one of the playground balls they provided but, for the most part, they were broken - some areas did not work at all and others had delayed/inaccurate responses. The most exciting part was probably a dinosaur race - literally a video of a dinosaur running that you can try to "beat" across the hall. Of course, here, one of the three speeds was broken as well. They also had coloring sheets but the supplied crayons were not vibrant enough to be picked up but their projector at the end. Had we brought out own markers, that portion may have been a great experience. Finally, they have two sand pits where you can use a brush to uncover bones. We paid for a dinosaur ride too - but it, too, was underwhelming (as it was little more than the head moving while one sat in the saddle. Staff were all pleasant but I felt like what little was there was so high-trafficked and poorly maintained that I wold not return. We spent two hours there but only because I was determined to get my full value of the included parking. Even with a young child it was hard to find enough to hold interest for more than 30 minutes. We also ended up locked in their bathroom - it's a warehouse like set-up where the door and lock were both pretty beaten up. I would not return and do not recommend it - even on sale.

Yelp
Got scammed by this business--we arrived at 6:30 pm on a Sunday and purchased tickets in-person for a 7pm time slot so we could grab a drink and return. We were charged $105 and told to come back at 7pm. When we arrived at 7, the venue was completely closed (despite the fact that last entry is at 8pm). There was no phone number to call or anyone around to help. Eventually we ran into the woman outside and she told us that there was nothing she could do and that we would just have to request a refund online. She and several other employees who were all congregated outside provided different explanations but said it was somehow out of their hands. No one would explain to me why they were closed or why they had sold me tickets in the first place. I requested a refund online through Fever and they said that they cannot refund me because the tickets were purchased in person and that the venue has to refund us. Sketchy, to say the least.

Yelp
Got the price paid the experience did not match. I was not impressed at all. They had large displays as promised but I think you can basically get the same experience going to the museum for a lot less my 12 year old was bored and my 7 year old who loves dinosaurs was only excited for the first walk thru they provide complimentary parking but there is no way you can stay in there for 2 hours. We drove over 3 hours and were not impressed

Chy M.

Yelp
The exhibit is not worth the price. DC has FREE museums with more immersive experiences. I do not recommend.
