Restaurant Owner David McAtee Killed by Law Enforcement in Louisville | Eater

"Located in the Russell neighborhood, the parking lot outside a local food mart was the regular spot where David McAtee ran his roving barbecue stand and often gave away food to neighbors, making it a well-known community hub. After he was fatally shot there during a dispersal involving Louisville Metro Police and the Kentucky National Guard — who say they were fired upon and returned fire — hundreds gathered at the lot in solidarity with his family. The shooting has amplified demands for transparency and accountability amid nationwide protests against police violence: officials have disputed whether body cameras were recording, the city’s police chief was subsequently fired, and the governor ordered a state-police investigation. If I could give this place a zero I would absolutely give it a zero the gentleman who works here and I use that term very lightly is absolutely rude as can be talk down to me asking if I spoke English which I'm from this country and yes I do very clearly he did not and ordered me out of his store because I attempted to use my debit card and no cash I hope he has the day he deserves and I will no longer ever patronize this establishment again and I would recommend all of you think twice about it as well

I go here for the catfish nuggets. The best you will ever have. I promise. Everyone goes here for them. I am addicted. When I tell you these catfish nuggets are the best in town. You better believe me. It stays packed. And, they are worth the wait. Even if you wait on fresh ones. Lord I think I'm gonna go get me some now. Try them. Your gonna love, love, love them. The chicken is awesome as well. Go. Now

They had a lot of bad news hanging around there at one point but since they stopped selling beer that crowd basically dispersed and they were able to stay open. The best Catfish nuggets for the quantity and price in town with a good flavor. Good deals on the chicken too. It's still in the hood but for a hood store I give it a 5.

The food must be extremely delicious because there's two clubs across the street there's always a bunch of people men standing out front begging for money and high off of who-knows-what. But once you get inside the store there's a police officer inside and a whole lot of people so that should tell you that the chicken and fish yes good I'd say the best in the West.

Let me take that back, I called because the chicken grease wasn't any good! Which made the chicken taste nasty!!!! Anyhow the person on the other end raised Heck about his nasty old tasting chicken! ALL he had to do was issue me a refund... Never shopping here again.

Dino's has some of the best fried chicken and catfish nuggets in town. ( my opinion) The chicken is hot (temperature) moist and oh so, so delicious. The catfish nuggets ( small container) was stuffed with soft, delectable, chunky pieces. The side orders, broccoli and potato casseroles, are a hit. The down side is the neighborhood is dicey.

Good fast service. Tasty gas food that's really a step above the regular gas station food. They have catfish nuggets that are easily some of the best in the city! I would recommend to family and friends if you find yourself in that area of town.

Chicken gizzards are unedible. They are too hard. I don't know if they have a different cook because gizzards use to be delicious. I have brought twice recently and have not changed for the better. Catfish nuggets are great!

What can you say about a place where first responders made more than 1,000 runs in the span of 2 years? Manager Ray Jumah makes sure to have the place smelling like stale, greasy food all the time. There's always something exciting here; hot chicken wings, drug overdoses, drive-by shootings, ladies of the night, molotov cocktails on the rooftop, you name it. They say community members have been pleading for Dino's to be shut down. That is terrible because it will kill the cultural life of this neighborhood. Where will the tweakers of the night go to get their spice? Where will ladies of the night ply their trade? Where, oh, where, will I go to satisfy that middle of the night craving for spicy chicken wings? Life is not fair!

If you come to Louisville I repeat do not go to this place. Before you even get out of your car you will be asked by 10 different people to buy there drugs and you could easily get shot, robbed or both. They have been on the news more than a dozen times for people getting murdered. Yes they have great chicken and prices but it is not worth the hassle

I have been in the store a couple of times. This is a gas station. I always order them through Uber Eats. It's so good. Some of the best chicken tenders I've had.

Yes, the looks of this place says it all. Go During daylight hours. But I have to say the catfish nuggets when they are fresh, are by far some of the greatest tasting things I have ever tasted in Louisville. Fresh, crispy, absolutely positively delightful. Just travel there was someone else and keep a firearm close.

These are by far the best chicken wings I've had in quite a while. And I've tried just about all of Louisville's Soul Food places but these wings were the only ones that hit the spot. I couldn't stop eating them. Going back tonight and as often as my budget will allow!
