We ordered catering from Dino’s for 15 people for Rosh Hashana dinner, including salads, meats, and sides—everything was absolutely delicious! The portions were generous (true Texas size!), and the service was warm and welcoming. We’ve also dined in the restaurant many times before and always enjoyed both the food and the atmosphere. We’re so glad we chose Dino’s—highly recommend!

Have tried via phone and email to get in contact with them about a catering order. No response. It’s unprofessional - especially the woman who insisted i call back at 11:30am to talk to the right person, and when I did - he wasn’t going to be in that day. I was told I’d get an email response, and didn’t. We even tried going in person a month ago only for them to be closed at short notice for an event, as per the scribbled note on the door. How does one even schedule an event with this unresponsive business? If you’re trying to get Kosher catering in Houston, good luck. What a bizarre business model. I will instead be ordering from a reliable, responsive kitchen in Philadelphia and shipping it. This should not be necessary - why can’t we buy locally and support the local community? I really hope we haven’t made an error moving to Houston, as I’m now concerned it is going to be quite exclusionary as this is the second local caterer we haven’t received a response from. It is rude.

We had a fantastic lunch here. This is a very traditional street food place, with fantastic authentic dishes and comfort food. Nothing fancy, but fantastic.

In town for the Maccabi Games, decided to take advantage of Houston’s robust kosher scene. Dino’s was our first stop, and all I can say is “damn!” Walked out of the Houston heat straight into Israel; felt like your typical Israeli food joint in Israel, complete with turquoise-colored appointments in the walls, Israeli bus station cafe veneer counter, and Israelis watching Israeli news and arguing about politics in Hebrew. Waiter was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. Then the food came, and all I can say is “OMG the food!!!” Started off with the Arais dipped in tahina and harif, then into ribeye steak and Romanian beef in pita with a nice selection of fixes (including amba), and wonderfully fried chips. Finished it all off with proper Israeli coffee. The portions? We were stuffed, and even after spending hours walking around the Galleria Mall afterwards, we were still full. And the prices? Very reasonable, and I say this as a frugal middle class working guy. Dino’s was fantastic; as somebody whom lived in Israel, especially Afula, and is a complete Israelphile with a zest for everything we love about Israeli food, Dino’s is legit and totally worth the visit!

Google
It took me four attempts to try this place for the Libyan food but wow it was amazing. They were either sold out or closed each time I went because of holidays and religious observances. Normally they make Israeli food but Tuesdays and Fridays they also make Libyan. I got some of everything which was a lot of money but I didn't know when I would be back so I wanted to try it all. Soooooo good! If you want to try it, be sure to arrive as soon as they open to make sure you get what you want. Would love to come back but it's hard to come during the week.

Google
The best Rest in all Houston!!! Every bite is delicious and fresh!!! The customer service is amazing! They want to make you feel home :) Best authentic daily dishes!

Igal M.

Google
100% authentic Israeli food. Their salads are fresh, warm and fluffy pita perfectly stuffed with perfectly seasoned lamb kebabs. Definitely worth the visit!

Brent B.

Google
Excellent food and friendly service. The lamb kabobs and ground beef humus were especially good. This place has been open for a while and I don’t know why it took me so long to find it. I will be back.

Yelp
I had a HUGE shawarma in a laffa for lunch. Excellent, clearly perfectly prepared, seemed like lamb meat with beef or something like that. Authentic shawarma is hard to come by outside of the middle east. And it was $20 before tax. Very impressive authentic Middle Eastern food. Service is dismissive and mostly ignores you, which makes it feel even more Middle Eastern. Taste of Tel Aviv or old Beirut. 5*. "Undiscovered" gem packed with emigrants from the Middle East.

Yelp
Came here to try some Israeli inspired dishes. This place is a casual bare bones kinda of place that gets a fair amount of to go orders. I hadn't tried much in terms of Israeli food, which happens to be greatly influenced by its neighbouring countries. I was intrigued by the Romanian kebab, which my dining partner and I ordered. We also ordered a number of cold sides to accompany it along with a giant pita. The kebab was super juicy and nicely seasoned with some earthy herbs. The sides were nice and tasty. Pass on the dessert. It wasn't very good. There's some Israeli news channel on the tv, so I guess it would be a good way to catch up if you speak Hebrew.

Yelp
What an amazing experience every time I'm coming to this restaurant everything it's well done from the Service the taste of the food and the option. Everything is always warm and fresh and delicious.

Yelp
Super high quality!! Love the options, good and staff. Definitely recommend this gem! Glad they are closed on Shabbat!!

Yelp
Solid Israeli food spot! Food is simple but done right. People who work there are nice and food comes out pretty quickly. The hummus is so creamy! The hummus plate comes with mushrooms and onions, which I have never had in hummus before, and it's very delicious. It comes with fresh pita bread warm from the oven! Falafel platter is also good, the falafel is crispy and savory. Chicken kabobs were excellent. Meat was well seasoned and very tender. The fries were crispy and salty, could easily down a whole plate of them. The sides of cabbage and the tomato cucumber salad were light and refreshing. The other dish we had was essentially meat inside a pita that was grilled. So simple but really delicious. The charred flavor added an extra layer and it's also a great item to share. This food felt like a nice home cooked meal and was delicious all the way around.

Yelp
It's been almost three years since our last visit. After todays exemplary meal, I'm wondering why. My wife and I split the Ela's Romanian Kabob plate. It was tasty with beef and lamb grilled patties and grilled vegetables, onion, zucchini, tomato, and mushroom. This plate came with a cold side and a hot side. We picked and enjoyed some tasty hummus and stuffed grape leaves. The young lady that took our order brought us a cup of vegetables, some spicy and all good, and a fluffy pita bread. We will be back and much sooner. We decided to eat lighter and share one plate, glad we did, it was all we could do to finish one.

Alejandra M.

Yelp
Unassuming little place with absolutely fabulous food! The vegetable soup was not on the menu, but it was just like at home and their vegetable appetizer was delicious. Very good balance of flavors.

Yelp
I love this place! House kabab, yes! Pita, oh yes! Zhug? extra please. Humus with the grilled chicken is delish! The gentleman that seems to run stuff has always been very friendly with me as a customer, which means a lot to me cause I look like a hippie so I get mixed treatment. And the chill cafe vibe with isreali television. I'd think many isrealis would feel right at home.

Yelp
Love the food here, the service is amazing, come on Tuesdays for middle eastern couscous!!!
google avatar

Tiffany E.

Yelp
Service is a little on the dry side, but the food is good. We usually get the lamb kabob labneh. It's a little pricey was the portion is very large. The fries are always soggy. The meat hummus is flavorful and their pita is alright. Chicken wings are probably from unpumped chickens because they were tiny.

Joshua S.

Yelp
Food is amazing. Hummus is a must. Also love all the salads. I ordered a bunch of salads with pita to take home. It was a big hit with my family. Met Dino. Super nice guy. Will be back soon.

Amichay E.

Yelp
Really good place! The food is amazing, service and super clean. Had the house Kebab plate, it came with rice and salads and it was really good!!

Rashan D.

Yelp
Bland and overpriced food, Fadis is way better. My friends didn't lime it either, the Falafel tasted undercooked and floury which was weird,
google avatar

Marc M.

Yelp
Outstanding food, like you walked into a restaurant in Tel Aviv Israel and great staff!
google avatar

Chad W.

Yelp
Best fresh Pita, incredible Hummus, incredibly crispy light and fluffy Falafel. Great friendly staff and homey atmosphere.
google avatar

Orna G.

Yelp
Great place to have lunch even if you are in a rush. The food is amazing and the servers are fast to get you started with salads and pitas while getting your main courses ready. My son lives in Houston and we go there almost every time I visit. We also tend to take extra orders home. The atmosphere is friendly. Feels familiar as if you are eating at a family's kitchen. They will let you try a small portion of something if you are not sure what you want to order.

Tamara P.

Yelp
Delicious borekas and falafel Pick up the mushroom ones because they run out quick

Jessie V.

Yelp
Middle Eastern Cuisine. Kosher. Closest to authentic. I have been to many restaurants that serve middle eastern food, Dinos is definitely my favorite ! The food is always fresh and delicious. I eat here at least every other week. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Definitely the best . I give five stars and two thumbs up. Pictured : Chicken schnitzel, steamed rice , grilled eggplant, Israeli salad.
google avatar

Colin E.

Yelp
Outstanding food and consistently prepared as such. Lamb kabob I find to be a solid option. Staff are helpful if you ask questions and ask them for clarification or suggestions

Teresa R.

Yelp
Excellent food and very attentive service! We tried falafel - best I've ever had - crispy on outside and soft in center. Excellent salads - I love eggplant and they had many versions, all good. Everything was extremely fresh. I can't wait to come back and try more!
google avatar

Ben A.

Yelp
Great food! Never fails. Dino is a 5 star chef. Reasonably priced. Also love his Challahs - they are so soft and delicious. #1 Kosher restaurant in Houston - we need to go there more!!!

David R.

Yelp
A very enjoyable Kosher restaurant! Friendly staff, good food. Some interesting off menu items available as well.

Yelp
Great food with nice service! Good size portions and great selection menu ! I had the schnitzel highly recommended.

Harold M.

Yelp
We enjoyed a delicious lunch there where service was with a smile and the food was generous and reasonably priced. We also ordered for pick up some of their kebabs and their chicken as we were having a large party for dinner. The food and the service was outstanding and we will be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, though last time I walked in on a Sunday they reported they were now closing at 9 instead of 11?

Noam A.

Yelp
Best Israeli food in Houston. Best customer service. Much recommended if you like authentic israeli food.
google avatar

Pam K.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try them out. So ran in for something simple and light. Falafel plate & Israeli salad I brought home. Delish! I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Vero L.

Yelp
We're so glad that this place opened. The food is wonderful! Specifically the schnitzel. YUM! Also, the Couscous is truly the best I've EVER had. There are so many yummy looking dishes on the menu, but I love the aforementioned items so much, that I've never tried anything else. Well except for the salad platter which is wonderful. it's a great sampler and is served with fresh, hot pita and sometime laffa. That said, if you're expecting American style service, this ain't it. You'll likely have to find your own drinks, menu and even silverware. There is usually one server. Expect to have to flag them down if you need something. You *might* even get it. But you know what? That makes it a truly "authentic" Israeli experience!
google avatar

Steve R.

Yelp
Was there already twice. Amazing food just be sure too tell them what you want and how you like it. :) and will go back to continue trying things on the menu that you cant find elsewhere. And if you have time. Bc i did this the first time i was there. Is too order the salad tray and then forget about it. Bona appetite
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
If u looking to try something good and different Dino's is the right place To go specially on Tuesday and fridays
google avatar

Robbie B.

Yelp
The schnitzel was delicious. The fries tasted good but needed to be crisper for my taste. The other food I had was alright. My meal portion definitely was worth the money. I will go back again because I saw other meals that looked delicious.

Galit B.

Yelp
The food is really good , the portions are big and delicious . I had baby chicken with fries it was the perfect meal We also had the salad plate that was amazing (bit spicy for me but wasn't bad ) The only thing need attention is the servers they don't pay attention to the guests unless you call and ask for something . Will definitely be back again
google avatar

Romi N.

Yelp
Best place ever !!!! Yum My second home literally, there's everything there if you like cloture food you have to go there, there's nothing like it in Houston guaranty! Come with big appetite the porches are BIG and satisfying. EVERYTHING IS BIGGER IN TEXAS

Mike D.

Yelp
The food was very good, as an Israeli my self this hit the food spot. The service was not good. Half the stuff I order from menu the establishment did not have, how do you put food on menu and not have it available. We finally ask the waiter what do you have available. The 20 something year old waiter had no clue what he was doing I don't believe he even had any training, he had no clue what is customer service. The restaurant decor and restaurant it's self is not very inviting. Due to lack of customer service skill and overall service I would not return back to this restaurant. Food was very good.
google avatar

Amir A.

Yelp
Just had Dino's for the first time, could not have been more satisfied. The Kabob Lafa was very generous and flavorful. Food seems to be made fresh to the order as my to go order seemed almost as a hot as when ordered to dine in. Will be back!
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Good food, nice kosher addition to the neighborhood. Friendly service, and good, Israeli-style food.
google avatar

Debbie S.

Yelp
I went with my son the other day for lunch. They were soooo rude to us. We walked in and the three employees ignored us for the first 5 minutes and then stared at us for another full minute; then we were asked if we'd been there before and we said no. Then the person, I don't know if he was a waiter or manager bc he didn't bother to introduce himself, proceded to tell us that they weren't cooking everything off the menu and only certain things were available. He didn't bother to give us a menu; he just verbally told us about ten things we could order. It was so uncomfortable. We felt so unwelcome we left. Thank goodness for Saba's Grill!
google avatar

Stuart W.

Yelp
WOW!!! What a great culinary experience! Really delicious and authentic. The staff are super friendly and make you feel at home. I'm coming back soon!
google avatar

Moria B.

Yelp
By far, one of the best Israeli food restaurants I have been in. The food is delicious and the service is great, the restaurant is clean and elegant. Highly recommended!!

Jen W.

Yelp
Solid choice if you are looking for Israeli food or kosher food. Great hummus and pita, fresh salad and nicely prepared chicken. If you want falafel or sabich those are also on the menu (but I haven't tried them yet). They also have a few daily specials that I would like to try that appear to be homey North African options but they seem to run out of them if you come later in the day.
google avatar

Yonatan Y.

Yelp
Great food great service great staff and one of the most delicious Mediterranean kitchens in Houston.
google avatar

Phillip G.

Yelp
The best restaurant I've been to In Houston. Food tastes like coming from momma's kitchen not restaurant style food. If you like middle eastern home cook food this is the best food you'll eat. After you'll eat free you'll say food so good makes me want to slap my momma.
google avatar

Yelp

Yelp
The meals here feel like home-cooked goodness. Everything is always so fresh. And the challah - it's a must. My husband love the kebabs! Great neighborhood spot for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
No where in town you can have this food, very authentic, very unique, very delicious. A must try place! We need to support local places like that with like home made food that you can't find elsewhere.

Jessie J.

Yelp
