Dipped

There was a super kind, fair, and professional worker here who tried to help me out (the tall girl). Unfortunately, I wasn't wearing my contacts so I agreed to buy a box of chocolate dipped strawberries. I didn't realize while shopping that they were NOT coated in sanding sugar. Instead, it was glitter. Edible glitter is hella sketch. Most glitter, even sold under sketchy labels like "non-toxic" or "decorative" is tiny ground-up plastic. It's not food, you should not be eating it. The only other glitters which are body-safe are mica or synthetic glitter like fluorophologite. Again: neither of which you can consume🤮🤢 unless they are refined a certain way. It's dicey. It's sketchy. Idk if they are just getting this glitter from 3rd party drop-shippers on Amazon. Please save everyone the headache and stop putting glitter in/on food. I feel bad for the employees just doing their job. But I did return it fairly quickly and unopened 🤷🏻‍♀️. Don't go here. You shouldn't trust a place that tries to feed you plastic. The lack of food safety and inflexibility are concerning. Overall terrible experience. Side-eyeing their food prep and "safety" now.

I’m a sucker for the Dubai chocolate. Honestly the strawberry cups were a steep price of $16 for the Dubai chocolate special and was worth every penny. The chocolate was so rich with the velvety pistachio cream. 100% worth the $16.

The apple(s) was so small I thought they were the miniature ones nowhere near the size of rmcf for $22 and if I didn’t have someone order for me I would’ve never ordered them the almond one taste like peanut like the generic caramel apple ones from the grocery store the strawberry cheesecake was good size wise not

We love stopping at Dipped for a sweet treat! Their caramel apples are always fresh, tasty, and perfectly made. The staff is polite and friendly, which makes each visit easy and enjoyable. It’s become a fun stop for my kids on the way home — they get excited every time. Great local dessert spot if you’re in the Bay Street area!

So many things to choose from. I had the strawberries with the Dubai chocolate and the cheesecake. Super good!

I was walking by and noticed this store seemed brand new, so I went and checked it out. I got a half dozen chocolate covered Oreos, and they are very good quality! The guy working in the store was very friendly. It’s a little expensive, but totally worth it for a special treat, and I’ll probably be coming back when I need to get a gift. Definitely recommend stopping in if you’re in the area!

i went to get dubai chocolate and two girls that worked in there attitude were very bad , people should not work in customer service with the attitude like that.

When I saw that there was a store that offered dipped goods, I knew I had to try it out. The store is nestled amongst other stores in Bay Street. I ended up getting the cookies & cream cheesecake bite ($4), the dubai chocolate cheesecake bite ($6), and a cookies & cream dipped oreo ($3.25). The strawberries also looked good but I was already super full after lunch. I think all 3 treats were good but my favorite was the cookies & cream cheesecake bite (I am biased though since it's my favorite). I thought the dubai chocolate cheesecake bite was tasty, though I never tried the actual chocolate. The cookies & cream dipped oreo is probably the sweetest treat out of the 3, even for myself with the sweet tooth. However, it was expected, especially since all 3 are rich. The coating isn't too thick though. Definitely a treat yourself type of shop but there is likely something for everyone who is a sweets lover!

If you need a little treat on Bay Street - Dipped is definitely the way to go! I went a few times while staying nearby on a work trip and tried the "viral strawberries" and some cheesecake bites. The strawberries were delicious - fresh, sweet and cute. I watched another customer order them and then asked for half of the chocolate, only because it was an overwhelming amount! The chocolate begins to harden immediately, but it was such a tasty, indulgent treat. The cheesecake bites were fine - but I will try their chocolate covered rice krispy or a caramel apple next time!

What a fun place!!! You have to try the dipped strawberries here. They are large strawberries. Sometimes the larger ones can be flavorless, but they pick out good ones here that have lots of flavor. We got the traditional strawberries dipped in chocolate. The chocolate is dark in color but they put a little white heart in some white trim color. So classy. The strawberries also come in fruity cereal, strawberry shortcake, cookies n cream, and you can mix-and-match. As a kid I used to get caramel apples at the fair. They were simply apples dipped in caramel. Here they have the same product, except so much fancier. They all sorts of color and trim.

Best Dubai chocolate strawberries The only bad is that chocolate dries up quickly. And it's $17 but other than that . I would be returning back for my cravings. Place is clean and small and the girl that served us was so nice .

Me and my wife had their Dubai cheesecake and Dubai strawberry cup. They were def both good don't get me wrong but $16 for a small cup of strawberries is a little too high in my opinion compared to the other places I've had. Other than that the cheesecake was really good I wished I got my own instead of sharing with my wife. The chocolate on the strawberry cup wasn't too sweet too which is good in my opinion.

This place is small and simple, plenty of treats available in the display case on a late Saturday afternoon. They were sold out of strawberry cups and trays, but they still had various dipped flavors of large strawberries (milk chocolate, cookies n cream, fruity cereal, and strawberry shortcake)... I kept it simple with the milk chocolate dip, and was not disappointed, it tasted fresh and made with quality and care (the chocolate shell didn't fall apart easily like some other cheaper versions of dipped strawberries). We also tried the chocolate covered pretzels (milk chocolate, milk chocolate toffee, and dark chocolate), the toffee and dark chocolate preferred. Service was patient, helpful, and instant, two workers behind the counter ready to help. We enjoyed our goodies at the bay break dining terrace seating upstairs while enjoying live music at Bay Street Emeryville. A bit pricey, but a good experience overall at Dipped.

I got two apples with caramel only two strawberry cheesecake bites and a marshmallow stick rolled in fruity pebbles for $21. Caramel was great! I'm sad I couldn't get the classic caramel with nuts. Service was quick and friendly. I was offered the option to cut the apple. Cute little store on the main strip with parking on either side. There are some free 15 min spots if you go down and enter the parking garage.

I definitely enjoyed my dipped strawberries. They were not too sweet, just right! They were delicious! I guess the best I've had. I'd definitely be back if they weren't so expensive. $14 for 6 dipped strawberries is more than I'd like to pay, like damn! Who made these princess Diana? Haha They had other goodies like dipped Oreos, dipped marshmallows, & mini cheesecake bites. If things were cheaper I would've tried almost everything. Anyways the customer service was great and the place is small, there were no tables to sit at, just in & out type of transaction. The end.

Yummmmm my favorite guilty pleasure! The sweets are so good and look super professional. A little pricey for me, so not somewhere I come often. The dipped oreos were fire!

My 1st visit to Dipped & was enticed bc I saw the Candy Apple signage. There was a lot of other items like cheesecakes, dipped & decorated Oreo cookies that looked too beautiful to eat. My heart was leaning towards the Peanut covered Candy Apple so I brought that home to enjoy. My first bite was a nice crunchy peanut layer but there was no sweetness to the apple & it was a little smaller than what I've bought at other places. Thanks Dipped for the fond memories I have of eating a Candy Apple.

I've now been to this newly opened dipped location on Bay St. twice. It is conveniently located near one of the entrances to the apartments just above the Bay St. shopping area so I pass it very frequently. Parking in the area can be tricky - if you're lucky, you may find a spot on Bay St ; meters are $3/hour. Alternatively, you can park in the Bay St. garage, prices vary depending on length of stay but for reference 3 hours is $4.50. There are free electric vehicle chargers randomly throughout the garage as well. The employees at Dipped are nice and helpful. The dipped fruit looks yummy and is decorated/presented well. I got the same exact thing on both trips but the price seems to been slightly different the second time around (perhaps they increased price by - small amount?). Each trip I got two chocolate covered strawberries and a milk chocolate carmel apple with almonds. The staff will happily slice your apple for you but beware that the container won't close entirely due to the stick in the apple. Unfortunately on the second trip the strawberries were a bit mushy. The apples were good each time but did brown immediately upon being cut; tasted great tho. I would definitely return but likely just for the apples.

Nice dessert place in Emeryville. They have chocolate covered strawberries, caramel apples, marshmallows, pretzels and more. It's a smaller place, so nowhere to really sit inside and eat. The caramel apple was pretty good and the strawberry was just ok in my opinion. Overall a cool place. The worker was nice to cut the caramel apple for us so it would be easier to split.

Very nasty to be $11 for a cheese cake apple. I never tasted steal hard caramel . Would never go back.

My daughter and her friends always come here to buy their chocolate covered strawberries. So I decided to myself today. I brought 2 chocolate covered strawberries. They taste amazing! But that's no surprise because my daughter always brings me home one when she buys them. Lol.

This is a new food snack place that has no customer service. Stood there calling for someone for 20 minutes. See picture . Absolutely no one here. We even came back AFTER our movie and still no one was there when we called out, "hello, hello!" They do not take any cash. Everything looked picture perfect, but due to the lack of customer service, we never did try their product. They really should work on that.

Very very rich tasting desserts! I especially loved the cookies and cream Oreo mini cheesecake. The butter chocolate covered Oreo was also delicious!! My only qualm is that the desserts are very expensive. Hopefully they can find a way to bring the prices down.

Feel like a big kid walking in here! The caramel apples, chocolate covers strawberries & marshmallows, everything is delicious. I love that they'll slice it for you too!

Got there close to closing so we were limited in selection but the caramel apples were awesome. Not too sweet and you can taste the different flavors. Will definitely be coming back to try the other items

This place is so good. I love the strawberries. The strawberry crunch and the fruity pebbles ones are so good. I don't know where they get these strawberries but they are so damn juicy. I always have to put my hand under my mouth because of the juiciness. It's a nice little quaint place tucked away but you can't miss the sign. Also the strawberry cheesecake is so good. I'm going to try the Oreo one next.

I read in Berkeleyside Nosh that Dipped, which had closed in its previous location, was reopening in a new one on Bay Street in Emeryville. Seeing that they had both chocolate dipped strawberries and caramel apples, I was immediately interested and I drove over there today. It's in the block south of the Xfinity store, on the same side of the street. I found parking a short walk away and walked over. There was a man in front of me being helped, which gave me time to peruse the offerings. It's a small space, neat and clean. They were out of dark chocolate dipped strawberries and it looks like they don't make caramel apples w/ dark chocolate dipping. I had read several reviews before going over and was pleased to discover that this is a local, woman owned business, the kind I like to support. The man behind the counter was very nice and helpful. I requested a caramel apple covered in milk chocolate and chopped almonds, since they don't do dark. He asked if I wanted it cut up, which seemed like a fine idea. I weakened and ordered a strawberry covered w/ white chocolate and oreo crumbs, which looked like dark chocolate. I also got a dark chocolate covered oreo and a dark chocolate covered pretzel, so I got my dark chocolate in. I'm glad Dipped is a long drive from me, that's all I have to say. I noticed in one review a complaint about the cost of the caramel apples, and I have to disagree. They're about $9 apiece. I have paid twice that and more, 15 years ago. $9 seems like a bargain to me, given the quality of the ingredients. The owner's response to that complaint was undefensive, excellent and informative. I got home and ate the strawberry, which was juicy and heavenly. Then I ate the oreo, which was delicious. I will save the pretzel for tomorrow and will see about the apple. I probably will "have" to eat it tonight since it's been cut up. Needless to say, I will be back for more. Not often, just often enough.

I haven't been to bay street in a while, and noticed this new Dipped place. I got suckered into all the delicious looking goodies in the window. The store is very minimal - everything is ordered on an ipad, so you don't really have any interactions with the people working there except for picking up your stuff. I ordered a s'mores caramel apple. I would have went HAM on this store if everything wasn't so expensive! The apple was already $10+ ... a plain caramel apple being like $8.95? At least it was delicious :) Next time when I'm feeling like ba$$in out, I'll try their other menu items.

This is a really cute little store with the best looking desserts! It's a little pricier, which is probably expected (almost $17 for 6 Oreos), but it's definitely worth it for a special treat or a gift. The guy working there when I went was really nice, and I'll definitely be coming back in the future.

I saw this new place while walking around the mall and decided to check out the menu. Oreos dipped in Cookies and Cream? I'm sold! I bought 2 and wasn't disappointed. Tasty cookies and cream wrapped around a crunchy Oreo. A welcomed addition to the food court for snacks.

The brown butter dipped marshmallows was Amazing and so was the Carmel apple. The guy working wasn't very talkative, but he did answer all of my questions. They do cut your apples for you.

Been so crazy busy at work that once again I am procrastinating on my Christmas shopping. Finally had a day off and drove to Bay Street in Emeryville. Much to my delight, there's this new dessert shop that took over the old cupcake place! I walked in and I saw all these assorted dipped goodies. Feast for my hungry for sweets eyes!!!! Needless to say, I walked out of there with a bagful of treats to gift my family.. if I don't end up eating them myself!! Congratulations to Aliyah, new business owner and her team! I will definitely be back for more!

A great new addition to Emeryville's Bay Street. With delectable offerings ranging from chocolate covered strawberries to an array of 'dipped' apples, Dipped is definitely worth a visit for a sweet treat!

I been here twice, and the caramel apples are so delicious! And they have the best customer service. We had a young guy help us and he was so professional and fast and he's only been working there for two weeks!

Aliyah and her team was very nice and sweet when I met them. I've grown up as a kid loving sweets, they didn't disappoint when it came to my needs. I love everything about sweets and if you need your sweet tooth cravings go to them. I literally had to stop everything I was doing when I was eating their chocolates covered strawberries and apples :) I've attached the photos I've done for her store on here! If you want to start your New Year on a sweet note go to them!

i am so happy to see that this small business i follow on ig finally opened her storefront on Bay Street in Emeryville. Now, besides shopping, i can enjoy all these amazing treats! I planned to just buy maybe a dipped pretzel or so, but once i saw the variety on their showcase, i just had to try a LOT more!! The caramel dipped apples, variety of cheesecakes, dipped oreos... so delish!!! 10/10 would recommend everything on the menu! they also have custom orders/party trays coming soon. Have to also mention the warm welcome from the staff! Kudos to Aliyah and her young team!!! You got a fan right here!

The apples are pretty. This was my first visit and the workers are nice. I love caramel apples BUT the Carmel chocolate almond apple that I purchased did NOT have enough Carmel. The description said that the apple was double dipped in caramel but this does not seem true. I saw a plain caramel apple and the layer of caramel Looked thin. I asked the worker and he said they dipped the apple once. If they make their caramel thicker and chewy like a classic caramel apple, I will return as a customer. If they want to compete with places like Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, their Carmel layer needs to be thicker and chewier.

This place is amazing. My contractor named Mr. lei/louie recommended it to me. It is good. I like the bag drinks because they are cute looking. Apples are healthy.

Beautiful clean store front. You can see everything in the giant glass windows. 1 stop shop for all your sweet tooth needs! The caramel apples and variety of strawberries are on point. The prices are competitive and the service is outstanding. Perfect for a gift, party favors, or just because you're a grown up and you can.

If you need a quick snack or have a bit of a sweet tooth while shopping I recommend you give this place a try. I admittedly was disappointed when I walked up and say the cupcake place was gone. I almost didn't give them a try but I'm happy I did. The cheesecake tart was great! Make sure you have a card or Apple Pay as no cash is accepted!

Great quality and service, also not overly sweet! I tried the matcha oreo and rice krispies! Will definitely come back.

I never write reviews but I got the strawberry cheesecake today and it was so delish I can't wait to go back for more.

OMG sooo goood! We came across the store by accident as we were playing tourists in downtown SF over the July 4th weekend. I have always been a caramel apple fan and flipped out when I saw Dipped. We bought 4 apples: S'mores, original caramel, cookies & cream and milk chocolate. Each huge apple was delicious and the ingredients were paired perfectly to the apples. The toppings to apple ratio were on point! I cannot wait to go back and try everything.

Great service all in all! My order was exactly how i wanted, got it on time and i enjoyed every single bite!

My wife and I stopped by on a whim and I can definitely say my wife is glad we did. I love green apples (I'm weird I've accepted it) and my wife loves s'mores (that makes much more sense) so we decided to get a s'mores candied apple (obvious conclusion). Now I hadn't had a candied apple in years so I thought maybe this was an impulsive decision that would leave me disappointed. I am glad to say that the only disappointment I felt was at how fast my wife was finishing the apple before (in all fairness, we hadn't had lunch yet). I appreciated that the apple came sliced and was super easy to dig into. It wasn't overly sweet or sticky either which I appreciated. Because of our experience my wife actually started craving candied apples. We ordered one from a local chocolate shop recently and she wasn't even willing to finish it. So based on that analysis, I would give Dipped 5 stars and hazard a guess that we'll stop by when in SF.

If you're looking for a quick sweet bite while shopping at Bay St, this is the place to visit! I love the chocolate covered strawberries here! There's so many different flavors to choose from but my absolute favorite is the strawberry shortcake! I stopped by around closing so next time I visit I'm going to purchase the cheesecakes bites!

Love this place ! They are so sweet and accommodating. I had a last minute occasion pop and needed cute party favors , they were able to squeeze me in for dipped Oreos ! They were so cute !!! I also tried the dipped strawberry , it was so juicy and amazing ! Must have!

I've been ordering from Aliyah for a couple years now and I was ecstatic that she opened a location! I just moved to NV when she opened it and I finally got a chance to come by today. I'm not a dessert person bc it's usually too sweet for me to enjoy but every time I've ordered from her, she never disappoints. My sister and I ordered the strawberry sampler, s'mores apple, cheesecake apple, and strawberry cheese cake. All of which were delicious. I unfortunately didn't take any pics bc I was too excited to try everything but her presentation is always A1!
