The area is really close to the train station so it’s very convenient and for my first time with this ice cream type desert it was really good and the staff was so sweet!

Yelp
The staff is friendly. It is a hole in the wall. It is a classic treat with mini dots of ice cream full of flavor. Would recommend coming here! Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 Ambience: 4/5

Yelp
I recently tried the plain chocolate Dippin' Dots, and it was a delightful experience! The unique texture of the tiny beads adds a fun twist to the classic flavor. Each bite was rich and creamy, making it a perfect treat. If you're a chocolate lover, this is definitely worth a try!

Yelp
Wow, I hadn't had Dippin Dots ice cream in years. When I saw this small shop I had to drop in and get some on a warm summer afternoon. Got me a medium cup of rainbow ice which costs around $6.50 and it was just as I had remembered. Hit the spot. Doc Popcoem is also here and I scored a bucket of Klassic Kettle to take home. So good.

Yelp
Glad this location opened up so I no longer have to wait for a Six Flags trip to have Dippin Dots. If you've ever had Shots ice cream from an ice cream truck, these are similar. They are little frozen ice cream balls that stick to your tongue. Prices were fair. It was about $6.50 for a medium cup. There's just enough room to step inside and order the ice cream/popcorn. Can't go wrong with the cookies n cream or rainbow flavor if you're in the mood for something more fruity. The employee who gave me my ice cream was on the phone the entire time we were being served. Great ice cream, but service could be improved.

Yelp
I love, love, love Dippin' Dots and will buy this expensive treat whenever I come across it so you can imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon an actual storefront in NYC with Dippin' Dots!! Ahhh I was super excited! As expected pricing was expensive considering the amount of product you get compared to buying a box of ice cream at the supermarket. While I expected this amazing treat to be expensive my issue is with the crushed Oreos they put into the product. Dippin' Dots are NOT supposed to have crushed Oreo in it but I see exactly why the shop owner did that. Adding the large chunks of crushed Oreos takes up valuable real estates inside the serving cup with means you are getting less of the expensive product (i.e. Dippin' Dots) because the cheaper Oreos are taking up volume inside the cup. Such a shady tactic because I've never purchased Dippin' Dots with large chunks of Oreo cookies crushed inside. While I was excited to find a Dippin' Dots storefront in NYC, I won't be coming back. I'm vehemently against the use of cheap Oreo cookie chunks being used in the product to displace the amount of product you'd get without the Oreos. Grrrr! Not happy with that!

Yelp
I have never heard of this franchise so my assumption of this ice cream spot was it was just mixed with candy or some sort of sweets. Turns out I was completely wrong as all of the little balls, or "dots", are the ice cream. Mind blown. As I approached small storefront, the employee there was super friendly. He invited us to sample any of the flavors they had before we settled upon getting the Cookies 'N Cream. We got a medium to share and we felt that alone was too much. Can't imagine how someone would be able to consume a large before the dots all melt. Have to emphasize the employee here. He was what made the experience a really good one. Sounded very passionate about his job, even if it was one he wasn't planning on sticking to.

Yelp
I can't even tell you how excited I was when I first heard that Dippin' Dots was planning on opening their first store in NYC. We'll, the day finally came. The first Dippin' Dot's store in NYC opened a few days ago in the Flatiron District right across from Madison Square Park. Growing up, this was one of my favorite things to eat. Even today, I'm always tempted to buy them whenever I see a kiosk at the mall, zoo or amusement park offering Dippin' Dots. This "ice cream of the future" with it's little ice cream beads are perfect on the go snack. So yesterday I stopped by after work at around 5pm. When I got there, I'm sad to say, that there was a sign on the door that said they ran out of Dippin'Dots and won't be restocked until Wednesday! What the what?! Two whole days to wait! I guess I'm not the only one who loves these desserts. I was so sad but I guess I'll have to schedule another trip back here. The Dippin'Dots store is tiny and more like a kiosk than an actual store. Doc Popcorn if also sold here and shares the spot on the billing at the front of the store. They offer 7 different flavors: gourmet, kettle, caramel bliss, better butter. Since I was there, I decided to get a bag of the kettle corn. It was pricey at six bucks for a small bag but very tasty. I'll have to update this review after my next visit. Hopefully they'll have more inventory and I can try their Dippin'Dots. They have something called the Dippin' Dot sundae which is Dippin' Dots with Caramel Bliss Doc Popcorn in a cup. I can't wait to try it. For now, they get three stars for the popcorn.

Yelp
So refreshing on a hot summer's day! A little hefty on the price of $5 for a small, but that's New York. The cool mint crunch was crunchy, minty, and cool. So refreshing. I loved the bites. The oreo is so good. Loved every bite. Delicious.

Yelp
Small little store. Stopped by and got a medium strawberry ice to share with my husband. Love that they put the calorie content on the menu board. It was delicious. Can't go wrong with Dippin Dots on a hot day.

Sophia D.

Yelp
Luna was absolutely amazing! So kind. such a great person. Made our experience the best ever. Dippin dots tasting better because of it.

Yelp
I love Dippin dots but beware of the strawberry flavor which tastes fake to me, kind of like a hard-candy strawberry flavor. Generally I love strawberry ice cream (Breyers, Whole Food ...) but not this one.

Yelp
I'm a regular... I just love the shape and flavor so much- thinking of getting a special freezer to store at home

Yelp
Dippin Dots is one of our theme park favorites. We were so excited about the NYC flagship store opening here in NYC. We stopped by on a warm April night. My husband ordered a half mint/ half birthday cake. I ordered the chocolate with whipped cream. The store is a tiny walk up space shared, with a popcorn brand. You can totally walk across the street to the park and enjoy your ice cream. The ordering process is extremely simple. Pick your flavor and pay. The staff is very kinda. Now go get some nostalgic dippin dots without, the need for a theme park.

Yelp
I dipped into the Dippin Dots ice cream store. The employee was nice and pointed out the different kinds of ice cream dots. I got the banana split. They come in different size cups. I got the medium. It was good, but the truth is I prefer taking a spoonful of smooth ice cream to lick whether in a cup or a cone. I'd rather have that kind of ice cream than eating a group of small ice cream balls off a spoon. It feels like I'm taking a bunch of pills LOL. BTW, I went a second time on a different day and bought cookie dough dots. Didn't care for it. Overall, for the first time experience of eating the dots, I'd say go get a small cup. Pricey for the size they give you whether small, medium, or large, but good for a one time taste.

Yelp
Ran out of chocolate.... I don't know how you run out of the most popular flavor of this fake food substitute. But this place did.
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
Finally, I don't have to go to an amusement park or zoo to get Dippin Dots. Sean Spicer is wrong about this (and many other things)... dippin dots are fabulous. Never will I be satisfied with knockoff Mini Melts, I need the real thing. And now with this store, I can get them whenever I want, just a subway ride away! Should I even admit I've gotten dippin dots for dinner before, and had a leisurely meal over in the park? Pro tip: sign up for newsletters on the dippin dots website to get a coupon for a free small cup on your birthday.

Yelp
I'm literally disappointed. I went to this location and got a large bag if doc popcorn mixed flavor triple white & cheesy cheddar. The popcorns flavor has a bitter taste to it. I always get those flavors and i'm truly upset. I can't eat it. I bought this bag yesterday around 2pm. I wish i can get my money back.

Yelp
Finally tried dippin dots, recommend getting a flavor with chunks like the chocolate chip cookie dough. They didn't have the flavor I wanted so they upgraded a size for free instead which was a W.

Yelp
Who doesn't love dippin dots! I got a small brownie batter. Its actually a pretty big portion because I couldn't finish it.

Yelp
The shop is super cute but it's a bit small. They honestly have a lot more flavors then I was expecting! A lot of them were really fun, but the prices are a bit high for what you're getting.

Jennifer A.

Yelp
It says it closes online at 11pm Sunday. Took an hour drive out here just to come here , and they're "closed". Highly upset. I understand that people just want to leave and get home on a Sunday night, but its a huge inconvenience for clients just because someone doesn't want to do their job. Never coming here again.

Yelp
So happy this opened in NYC!! Awesome Dippin' Dots and high quality staff. Very clean and awesome location.

Yelp
What a great reminder of my childhood! Little rainbow treat in the middle of NYC, what can be better. The employees were so helpful and wow did that popcorn smell good (I took a little bag home haha). Nothing like a cold treat with a beautiful place to enjoy it right across the street at Madison Square Park!
