This place was on my bucket list because of seeing posts on the company's Instagram. Finally had some business in the area and made a little detour over to the eatery. I'm not typically a "hotdog" person, but I will say if you're going to eat one, this is the place to go! All of their food options are unique and loaded with yummy goodness, so making a recommendation is hard. A friend and I ordered the Elote Dog, Chili Dog, & Garlic Fries, + 2 draft beers. Order total was just shy of $50 w/ tip. We finished every bite. Because the hotdogs have so much on them, we opted for just the Garlic Fries...which, with their (thicker almost aioli garlic ranch dressing)...were 🔥! If I had the opportunity to go back, I would consider ordering a more "loaded" fries (i.e. Elote, Dirty Chili, or Carne Asada) and no hot dog. Only because I had no room for dessert! Overall, great experience and will definitely pop in again if I'm in the area. Until next time...

Amazing Take on LA Street Food! Dirt dog is a must if you love the guilty pleasure that is eating the street food of Los Angeles. Everything on their menu is delicious with each having their own unique take on typical LA hot dog you can find on any corner of Downtown LA. My favorite item in their menu is the Pastrami Dog, the pastrami taste great and Monterey cheese just tops everything off so great. Even better are the Filthy Fries, the unique combination of cotija cheese, fries and the guacamole sauce are to die for. Everything at this establishment is made with honest and tasteful ingredients and is a must if you are near LA.

Must try! Everything was just great! Amazing LA street food flavors in the heart of old town Pasadena. Great food, great atmosphere and vibes. We love this place! My recommendations: 1. Elote Dog 2. Flaming Dog 3. Chili dog 4. Carne Asada Fries Would also recommend upgrading your bun to the lobster roll, so bomb! There are plenty of parking lots, and metered parking although they are hard to come by. Enjoy!

Google
Hands down the best hot dog I've had in a long time. Was worth the drive, and we had ordered online for pick up. The order was correct and it looked good. It tasted even better than I thought! I've gone to several places based off pictures and have been thoroughly disappointed. I was pleased 100% and definitely recommend the hot dogs and corn. I enjoyed it. The hot dog itself was a good tasting and the toppings made it better. The corn tastes grilled and delicious. I will most likely return.

We walked by this place multiple times, but today we decided to stop by because we want something greasy. So if you're looking for a good hot dogs place with really good corn on a stick and really good fries - THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE. Not to mention they gave great service too. The dogs toppings - so many different choices to choose from - Amazing The corn on a stick - grilled corn with toppings - Amazing The fries - Crispy and crunchy with so good topping -Amazing The music - Amazing The seats - Limited... But who cares because it's yummy in the tummy.

Kids were looking forward to trying this joint, and they loved it. Got the loaded dog and dirty fries and filthy fries. Fries were so good. Pet friendly 🥰 and great customer service.

Google
Food was amazing and very delicious. Got the Patty Melt Dog and the Elote corn on a cob and a drink. Total was 17$ for two people so a very reasonable price. The hot dog was amazing, the bun was fresh, and the toppings were great as well. There is an indoor and outdoor sitting area, and it was very peaceful sitting in Old Pasadena. Recommend eating here if you love great hot dogs, tacos, corn, and desserts as well!

Google
New favorite hot dog spot in LA. My eyes were way to big for my stomach when I came here. The portions are much bigger than you anticipate. I thought a couple dogs and some fries would do the trick and I wasn’t even close to finishing. I had to bring half my food home with me. You honestly cannot go wrong with any choice you make here. I loved every single thing I ordered. If you’re like me and you love getting street dogs from vendors on the sidewalk in LA, then you will definitely enjoy the House Dog. It’s the more cleaned up, gourmet version of that. When it came to the fries, I couldn’t decide which one I liked more between the filthy fries and the carne asada ones. Next time I go I’m sure that’s going to be the case again when I try the DUI fries. This place is an absolute gem and like I said, you really cannot go wrong with any choices you make here. It’s all good! Pro tip: ALWAYS substitute to get the lobster roll

Yelp
Oh no Dirt Dog closed in Pasadena? This place was bomb! Best corn I ever ate in my life. Guess I'll have to drive to Downey now.

Yelp
Have had Dirt Dog on my list for quite a while, but it wasn't until I finally started seeing their posts on Instagram that I had to make a trek. Got the DUI Dog, Dirty Chili Dog, and Do Know Dog, as well as a Dirty Esquite. They really stuff the top of these hot dogs with a lot of food! Interesting to see the different combination of flavors on each hot dog. Price is a bit higher than expected, but considering street hot dogs these days can be almost as much as $10, I was fine with it. Service was great. Staff was really friendly, made some good suggestions about what to pick. Ended up taking one of the suggestions and it was delicious! Definitely worth a try if you haven't been here before.

Yelp
I thought this was really a great place. Food was great, it came out fast, and the employees were super cool. The restaurant also had a great vibe. Fun pics all around. I even saw Tupac, Biggie and Eazy-E waiting in line! I had the pastrami dog, which was super good. Really great mix with the pickles and mustard, along with pastrami strips and the dog. The cashier told me to get it with the lobster roll, and that was really great. The bread was perfectly cooked. We also got the dirty fries, elote fries and the carne asada fries. All of them were super good and I would recommend getting them all to try.

Yelp
I stopped by this hot dog stand on a whim, and while the hot dog itself was decent, I have to say that I was pretty disappointed by the prices. I understand that there is a premium for specialty hotdogs, but I felt like what I got was definitely not worth the high cost. The hot dog was fine - not the best I've ever had, but not terrible either. However, for the amount I paid, I was expecting something a bit more special. I also felt like the condiments were pretty lackluster, and didn't really add much to the overall experience. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and the location was convenient, located in old town Pasadena. But unfortunately, I don't think I'll be back unless the prices come down a bit. Overall, an okay hot dog, but not worth the high cost.

Yelp
My husband and I were looking to try something different for dinner tonight. After reading some reviews and checking out the menus of local takeout places, the listing for Dirt Dog caught my eye. I am a vegetarian, but my husband is from the Chicago area originally and the man loves a good hot dog. Luckily we live in a state where most restaurants have decent vegetarian options. Dirt Dog offers Beyond brand plant-based hot dogs which you can get in their regular flavor offerings minus the meet. The meat based hot dogs start with a Nathan's famous hot dog and bacon and are fully loaded with everything from chilli to barbeque sauce. We got takeout and I opted for an Elote dog using a Beyond plant-based hotdog on a lobster roll bun. My husband chose the Snoop Dogg (complete with Gin & Juice ketchup), we shared Dirty Fries with chili-lime seasoning. Both dogs were very large. These hot dogs are clearly intended to be a meal and just one will be more than enough food. The toppings are well executed and I enjoyed my hot dog so much more than I had anticipated. I recommend attacking these with a fork and knife since they are fully loaded with toppings. My husband loved the sweetness of the barbeque sauce and thickness of the bacon on his Snoop Dogg. One area of caution: As listed on the menu the Dirty Fries come with spicy ketchup. The ketchup is burn-your-mouth-off spicy. I didn't read the menu carefully and mistook it for plain ketchup. I ate too much after dipping a fry into a thick coating of it and quickly reached for my drink to try and calm the heat. We got bottled cokes and split an order of Churros for dessert. The Churros are a must-try as they are light and fluffy and served with horchata whipped cream on the side. Everything tasted very fresh and I enjoyed my meal. This spot will be added to our rotation for takeout going forward!

Yelp
**Rating experience with a toddler** My picky eater and I spent an adventure in downtown Pasadena and our tummies started to rumble! I asked what he wanted for lunch, and he settled on Hot Dogs, so we headed to Dirt Dog - our first experience there! He got super excited about the red drink that was deliciously flowing in front of him, so he HAD to have it. Being a picky toddler, I didn't want to commit to a drink that he wouldn't like, so the store associate was super nice and gave us a small sample to taste. It was a bit sweet for me, but toddler approved *thumbs up emoji* His food pickings were straight forward: the House Dog and regular French fries with ketchup. The House Dog was very good, much better than what I expected! For me, I didn't want anything too overwhelming or crazy, so I settled with the Elote Dog and was super pleased. A bit messy, but a playful take on a Hot Dog and didn't feel overstuffed. This was a good pick! It got a bit loud and packed during our stay, but being Saturday afternoon during lunch time, it was to be expected. My son later pointed to cheesecake on the menu, and I then realized that this place is also Drips Cheesecake, which I've been wanting to try! Must come back! Overall, it was toddler-approved and he gave it a thumbs up :)

Yelp
4/5 | $9.75 | Elote Dog 5/5 | $9.75 | Chili Dog 5/5 | $10.50 | Carne Asada Fries 1/5 | $4.95 | Elote Corn The food here at Dirt Dog was delish! The dogs came loaded with toppings and everything was super flavorful. The carne asada fries we tried were perfectly fried and really loaded with toppings as well. We decided to try the elote corn but unfortunately I wasn't a big fan of the corn toppings, the flavor was very pungent to me. The only downside to me is the price. While these were some great hot dogs and fries, I don't think they were so much better than normal hot dogs that I could justify the price again. The ambiance inside was nice and there was seating. Parking is easy to find on the street. Service was great and quick.

Yelp
I ordered the dirty chili hot dog and it was so good! I loved that all the hot dogs are bacon wrapped. The taste is so good. The toppings for the dirty chili dog include cheese, bacon bites , and ground pork meat. It's definitely a mix of flavors ! Make sure to upgrade to the lobster roll ! 75 cents extra, but totally worth it! Interior is rap/ hip pop themed. Super cool inside ! And tables are nice too. Parking garage located right next to the spot. Service was good, the people working here have a chill vibe.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place while I was in Pasadena and decided to check it out, and I am so glad that I did. Got the House Dog and it was pretty good. The hot dog was juicy and the bun was crispy. The grilled veggies and sauce brought everything together nicely. Even better was the D.U.I. Dog. The hot dog was packed with bacon, pastrami, and carne asada. So full of flavor. The lobster bun is a great modifcation, I would recommend trying it. I was surprised at how good the carne asada fries were. Each fry was perfectly hot and crispy. The carne asada was delcious. Service was friendly and quick too. The place looked fairly clean with plenty of seating. This is a great spot to grab food, but it can get messy!

Yelp
Unique hot dogs! The variety of hot dogs they serve was shocking to me. I've never seen a spot that takes a creative spin on hot dogs. Ordered a bunch of their menu items to try. Standouts were definitely the flaming dog, green dog, flaming corn, and fries. Loved that they sold beer. Nice and refreshing. Will be back if I'm in the area. Elote dog: $8.25 Flaming dog: $8.55 Green dog: $6.95 Flaming corn: $5.25 Dirty chili fries: $6.75 Carne asada fries: $8.50

Yelp
We tried Dirt Dog tonight for the first time! We placed our order online for pick-up and it was ready when we arrived in 15 minutes (I'm sure it was probably even ready much earlier) We totally enjoyed all of our food from Dirt Dog. I had the Dirty Chili Dog which had cheese sauce, a hot dog wrapped in bacon, bacon bits, chili and some house sauce. My Husband had the Patty Melt Dog, and we both throughly enjoyed both of them. We shared an order of the DUI Fries, which pretty much had everything on them! Give them a try, but be sure to share them, especially if you are having other items. We ended with an order of fried oreos, which comes in an order of two. We truly enjoyed every item that we had and we would definitely return again.

Ann A.

Yelp
Pros: Friendly staff Delicious hotdogs! Jason was so kind to accommodate my request to remove some ingredients that I don't like. Good fries Yummy deep fried oreos Nice ambience Cons: Parking

Yelp
Let me start off by saying this... if you want a good hot dog, come here and look no further. I visited the location in Pasadena. It was easy to find, please be aware it is on a one-way street so like downtown LA. They do have public parking which is reasonably priced. They also have metered street parking available. Upon entering the location, immediately my senses where filled with the aroma of wonderful hotdogs and fries in and all the things that they provide it. It brought me back to my teenage years, yes I am a 90s teenage baby so that was the era of West Coast hip-hop. They had a beautiful mural of Tupac, Biggie and Eazy-E. On another wall most recently Kobe Bryant. I thought that was a beautiful tribute to them. They also had the music going which just brought up so many memories. Menu: Digital Menu- Beautiful pictures to visualize and get your mouth ready to partake in their food. I love the fact that they have two options for their hotdogs they have the option of the regular hotdog bun and the lobster roll bun which is delicious. I recommend y'all get the lobster roll bun with your hotdogs and it just made that hotdog wonderful. All of their hotdogs are bacon wrapped but you can opt out of that you just need to let them know which is a great option. Vegetarian Option: Veggie dog available which is great for people that don't eat regular meat, so you can bring your friends that are vegan or vegetarian and get that version of that veggie hotdog Desserts: Deep-fried Oreos, Churros, and they have Cheesecake on a stick in various flavors. They have an array of items, like is like you're going to a Street food festival, but it's located inside an actual dine in spot. Where you can sit down, eat good food, listen to music and have the whole 90's vibes. Customer Service: The customer service was great. The person that took my order was nice, friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. She provided me the popular items to try. There was also a repeat customer waiting behind me and provided the same selection that she gave which means she knows what she is talking about so these are the items that I ordered. The Patty melt: That thing was on fire, amazing the texture of the the lobster roll bread with that bacon wrapped hotdogs, the cheese, fries on it was just a beautiful combination y'all. Filthy fries: Let me tell you, the Latino flavors with these fries were amazing. Deep fried Oreo: I never had this before, I've seen fairs, so I decided to try it out, I cut open that deep fried Oreos with a side of Horchata dipping sauce. It was let me tell you bananas! Amazing! Taste like a hot chocolate gooey cake y'all, and then you dip it into the Horchata whipping cream and it was like ice cream and hot cake together. Churro: I didn't even get a picture y'all. I didn't want to be embarrassed and have sugar and cinnamon all over, so I ate that as I walked out but it was cooked perfectly. It wasn't hard, it was nice soft in the center, great amount of cinnamon sugar on the outside which made it perfect. Make sure you go to this place immediately, when I say immediately, I mean immediately y'all and partake in this goodness.

Yelp
Ordered: -Snoop Dog -House Dog -Oreo Cheesecake Pro: -Clean -Really friendly staff -We really liked the house dog!! Juicy and filled to the top with condiments & toppings -Definitely opt for the lobster bun!! It added texture and was deliciously fluffy, crunchy and buttery. -Cheescake was rich, creamy, and a generous size. The milk chocolate was smooth, and the Oreo toppings added a nice crunch!! Con: -Dogs are made with love, so expect to sit and wait a few minutes (we waited 10 min)!! -The Snoop Dog is really sweet for our personal tastes and doesn't have much toppings -Cheesecake was slightly frozen still (the employee told us that they had just gotten their cheesecake shipment). We didn't mind since we like frozen cheesecake!! -Pricey!! But worth the splurge once in a while

Nancy W.

Yelp
Pictured is their dirty chili dog but the real star is their carne asada taco ( I ate it before I can take a photo). Perfectly seasoned carne asada, served with jack cheese, onion cilantro and salsa of your choice wrapped in a perfectly browned tortilla. The service was great and the vibe is super fun especially if you're a fan of 90s hip hop music. I will definitely be back!

Kathi Y.

Yelp
Totally tasty dogs with flare. I had the Elote Dog and my husband had the Dirty Chili Dog and we split some Dirty Fries. Everything was awesomely delicious. Service was excellent, cool vibe inside. Parking was convenient, but you do have to pay. Will definitely be back!

Leonard A.

Yelp
Yeah, this is the story about a famous dog, not an Atomic dog but a funky nasty dog. So this little short story begins with their elote dog that came with of course, corn, lime Mayo, cotija cheese, chili powder then sprinkled with bacon bits. Man, it was a total explosion of flavor and the bun added some kick to it with a unique flavor that held it all together. Next up was the go to house dog. This this dog that was so funky good came with the precious bacon just like the Los Angeles street dogs do but only bigger and it was wrapped around a premium Nathan's so you know this was Dog Gone Good! And what would you pair up with these bad dogs you ask? Well I'll tell ya! How about their house made deep fried Oreos! Oh what?! This delicious duo came with horchata flavored whipped cream! Oh Wow! Now that there just put the Nasty in this tasty adventures. Maybe I can say this was a wickedly delicious adventure that left me singing " Bow Wow Wow Yippie Yo Yippie Yay Bow Wow Yippie Yo Yippie Yay! " The service was on point and enough said! That's my take on it, Peace...

Amanda C.

Yelp
The hotdogs here are okay. They do have a decent amount of options and styles. I did like that they offered both an original bun or lobster roll (with up-charge). The elote dog is exactly what you would expect, but nothing special. Asada fries were just okay as well, definitely could've used more meat. I took away one star due to the lack of cleanliness in the dining area and restroom.

Elena C.

Yelp
Salty dog in pasadena The place is on the first floor of a parking structure, $1 for 15minutes. If you're here for a pick up and go, walk fast and you might have to circle the building to find the spot (depending on where you park. Really enjoyed the dog, and especially the toasted bread. It's a little bit too much salt for my preference, but it's still nice and enjoyable. And it does make your soda taste a little bit sweeter by comparison. So all in all i'm a happy customer. I'd like more bacon though. Let them grow a little bit more before you wrap them around the dog. There are hotdog stands with (way) more generous bacon out there.

Yelp
Excellent food, amazing staff, and a hip LA vibe in Old Town Pasadena - what more could you want from a gourmet hot dog spot?? I actually heard about this place from one of the T-Mobile staff in Monrovia haha!! And I'm so glad he told me about it bc I loved my lunch experience here! And their prices are extremely reasonable - especially now!! I was shocked! I tried the chili dog - loaded with chorizo chili, cheese, BACON, and more - and I opted to get it on their lobster roll - totally took it to a whole new level! That roll was soft and buttery and really made the dog!! Their hot dogs are very quality - soft and flavorful and cooked perfectly - no weird bits or textures. I loved it! My husband had the House Dog and cleaned his plate - and was quiet while he ate so it must've been good bc he's never quiet LOL!! But the real show stopper for me was the Filthy Fries - these were some of the best fries I've ever had! Their fries are crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside - and come covered in all sorts of deliciousness like guac, sour cream, different cheeses and a mildly spicy aioli that balanced it out nicely! I'll definitely be back for more of these! We also shared a churro for dessert and yum!!! Great texture and flavor and comes with a fabulous cinnamon butter to dip in - a perfect finish!! They also have chocolate covered cheesecake slices and even deep fried Oreos! As well as beers on tap and Agua Frescas! The vibe inside really adds to the experience as well - fantastic wall art of LA kings like Kobe, Biggie, Eazy, and of course Tupac! Whoever painted them did an incredible job!! They were blasting old school hip hop during my lunch and it was so fun! Songs I hadn't heard in forever! I couldn't sit still - great music! They're family owned and all the staff I talked to were so friendly and just obviously happy to be there. They're in Old Town Pasadena with huge windows so it's great for people watching and also for walking those dogs and fries off afterwards. Parking is street parking or in one of the public lots scattered around. Highly recommend- I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Loaded gourmet hot dogs found here! I'm normally not a hot dog fan but I was in the area and starving so I figured why not. And I'm so glad I did because my veggie dog flamethrower style was incredible. The hot dog came loaded with cheddar, chipotle aioli, grilled bell peppers and onions, cilantro, and charred habanero. Packed with flavor, the ingredients came together perfectly and really complemented each other. And though the veggie dog wasn't crazy spicy or anything, it did have a nice little kick to it. One thing to note though is that the hot dog was pretty messy, so I'm supremely grateful I took it to go and ate it at home without an audience! Haha. Or maybe I just have the table manners of a child when I'm hungry. Lol.

Natalie V.

Yelp
Put the pedal to the metal and get yourself over to this hot spot! If you love hotdogs you will absolutely enjoy their menu. One of my favorites is the Elote Dog which includes 100% Premium All Beef Nathan's 5/1 Dog, Wrapped In Center Cut Bacon, Corn, Lime Mayo, Cotija, Chili Powder, Cilantro, Bacon Bits. They really load up the toppings and the quality tastes fresh. You can dine in or take it to go! But I'd recommend dining in as the murals inside are pretty cool. If you're looking for a date spot this might be worth checking out. Sometimes they'll have live music and it's an all around rad vibe.

Cheryl L.

Yelp
I was walking past Dirt Dog on my way to 21 Choices and decided to pop inside for a quick bite. Who knew they had bacon wrapped hotdogs? I was ecstatic when I saw the pastrami and Carne Asada DUI Dog on the menu. The menu is pretty straightforward: dogs and fries. I can't wait to go back and try more!

Moni O.

Yelp
Nice place to fill a specific craving. Really wanted a place with good fries and Yelp led me here. Got a plain dog and fry to test the waters my first time. When I ordered online was told my wait would be 5mins and it was grossly mistaken. Took way longer than expected. Johnathan kindly gave me a watermelon agua fresca to sip on to mollify me and I really appreciated it. Was very refreshing. Would come just to order that in the future. Dog was sizable. Was shocked the bacon didn't fully wrap the dog. Felt a bit deceptive. Bun was thick and soft but flavorless? I liked the fries a lot. Surprisingly couldn't finish them - but I think it's more to do with how big the hot dog/bun was. Solid 3.5 but bumped to 4 bc of Jonathan and the tasty Fresca.

Sergio D.

Yelp
Good tasty food I recommend this location to everyone I know. Please be sure to check it out soon and check out their dessert at Drips!

Chelsea B.

Yelp
Got the house dog with x grade hot Cheetos and taki dust. It was delicious ! Very very good and fluffy bread. Sausage is well seasoned, juicy, and good snap. I highly recommend this place if you want gourmet dog. Server was fast and nice. Great experience. Love the music and interior. It's messy hot dog but I love it because lot of flavorful toppings. So I ate it with knife and fork.

Alicia H.

Yelp
Delicious and true LA street dogs, and the service is always amazing. Today was helped by Courtney who was fantastic. Food definitely not for the faint of heart (or stomach) but always 10/10!

Kimberly N.

Yelp
I happened to be in the area waiting on the yelp list to eat at a restaurant and I saw this place while walking around. The ice cream pictures from the outside and the graffiti art done on the inside of the food place was what drew my attention. I decided to come in and get one for to go and wow, I was absolutely shocked by the amount of different hot dogs they had. Never had I seen this many different creative hot dog combos in my life. My boyfriend and I decided to order the elote dog because who doesn't like elote? That's actually one of my favorite things to eat and adding it to the hot dog itself? It was amazing and magical. Who knew that elote could go so well in a hot dog! I was completely surprised by this combo and for sure when I'm in the area again, I definitely need to buy a few more different hot dogs they have and try them all out! This was a 5/5 for me. Nice job Dirt Dog!

David I.

Yelp
Great food and service. Nice chill spot in old town. Would recommend for some good dogs

Colby D.

Yelp
I don't consider myself a dog görl but once I tried one of Dirt's dogs I wanted to try their whole menu! The fries are great, too! I came here first with my former roommate and we each got an order of fries, which we shared, and our own dogs. I got the dirty fries and the house dog, and I don't remember which dog she ordered but she got the carne asada fries. The second time I visited I got the green dog and garlic fries, and the third time I got the red dog. All of their stuff packs a punch of flavors and makes for great drunk person food. Plenty of toppings and sufficiently filling. I also like that they offer the option of upgrading to a "lobster roll" roll, because it does give their dogs a little somethin' somethin' that other places don't have. The fact they're bacon-wrapped gives them that familiar hotdog-stands-that-are-everywhere-drunk-people-are flavor. The only thing I'm not a fan of is their beer options, but I think I remember that they're on rotation so hopefully I like what they have next time I return. The employees are so chill and helpful, too!

Daniella R.

Yelp
Came here one day for lunch after work and man I was shocked of what was going on The one brown girl employee with Afro was totally tearing a new one to the poor guy who rang me up and helped me out He was the friendliest and helpful ,informative with happy hours .5$ beer which wow that's a deal! I was there for about an hour. The food was no issue as I've ordered before for pick up delivery but what ever was going on was BAD! She was so unprofessional yelling in the back. Luckily the music was blasting but I could still hear her yelling like a mad women I believe they may need new staff. Good luck-

C A.

Yelp
The Dirt Dog Pasadena location is consistent with other Dirt Dogs. Yum! Plain dog with grilled onions was good. Garlic fries with the garlic dip was fire! Fries were perfectly crispy. Better than the food was the kindness and great customer service of Jason. He literally said their job was to make sure we had an excellent experience. And it was! Thanks, Jason!

Julie F.

Yelp
Hot dog is very yummy. The bacon is crunchy. The fries are also very good. First time trying this chain. Will come back. Truly los Angeles street food.

Benson K.

Yelp
I've been to the Dirt Dog in LA, however, my wife wanted to try Dirt Dog for herself. We went to the Dirt Dog in Pasadena because it's closer to us, and closer to where she needed to be in the morning. We ended up sharing an elote fries and a chili dog. The chili dog was absolutely amazing. It wasn't just a standard hot dog with chili on top. Bacon wrapping really enhances the flavor of the hot dog, the lobster roll for extra charge was amazing, and I loved the chipotle aioli which was not too spicy at all. The elote fries were great. I didn't like the cotija cheese, which was too salty for my tastes when fries are naturally salty, but the corn itself was quite good. I may try different fries next time. Overall, Dirt Dog is always delicious, made to order, and does not disappoint.

Yelp
Very good service and food was delicious! Love the toasted hot dog buns and tasty toppings. Got the chili dog and it's yummy! Recommend the garlic fries too!

Yelp
We happened to walk by Dirt Dog while roaming around Pasadena and thought we'd drop in for a quick bite. It has a casual vibe and decor playing homage to some classic rappers. We got an order of fries + a hot dog, though in my old age my memory cells are weak sauce so I can't recall exactly which ones we got. Anyway, while the food looked pretty and colorful, the taste was pretty average. You could see a lot of ingredients piled in, but it didn't have the finesse to bring in stand out flavors. I will give props out for how massive in size the fries were though. It's something you definitely want to share with 2 or 3 people and not take on solo unless you want to die. Dirt Dog would be a cool spot for a late-night-post-drinking-i-am-hangry meal, but if you're looking for a bit more, you might need to dig a little further.

Yelp
Thought this would be a repeat of doghause but to be honest it's even better. Got the flaming dog and the sauce on it was so good. Though the sausages themselves aren't anything special the toppings really make the whole thing. I also highly recommend to upgrade it with the lobster roll. Overall, I would def come back and I highly recommend to check this spot out if you're in the area

Yelp
Not very busy at all. Showed up, ordered and had to clean my own table. Besides that, the service was good. The food was fine, nothing to be too excited about. They did have pretty good music playing the whole time, so that was a plus. Would I come back? With the amount of variety there is in the proximity, I don't think I'll be back for a while.

Yelp
The.Service.Is.Awesome!!! The food is a given but we came in for the first time and Jason helped us at the counter. He made some really good suggestions and everything that we ordered from the chili cheese dog, the plain dog and the garlic fries were fire . Oh and can't forget the deep fried Oreos!!! Thank you so much for treating us like family who's been coming here for years, Jason. We love this place!

Yelp
Saturday August 28, 2021 6:25PM What happened to the Dirt Dog I know? The good music and energy? Happy hard workers? They aren't as busy, I see people standing around, flies having adventures in the kitchen and workers are rude and they forgot my part of my order. =[ On the brighter side: they are open and have new items on menu since the last time I've been here. One of the workers also brought out most of my food out to me. Thank you for wearing your masks. The food doesn't taste like it's made with happiness anymore. The quality is still decent except for the fries. Just remember this is a somewhat good quality type of food so expect to spend double digits if you are planning to get more than just one item in the menu. Food can take a while if you see a line but there was no line today so getting most of my order in 10 minutes is pretty quick for this place. Don't think of this as fast food but hearty heavy American tastiness that will hit the spot or you might have to make it into two meals if you have a tiny stomach. Remember to bring money for parking in the parking structure, watch out for pedestrians and drivers can be unpredictable here. Don't forget to keep your distance with everyone and wear a mask whether you are vaccinated or not. Also bring hand sanitizer to use after touching any doors, money, table and receipts. From 5 to a sad 3 star review. Please don't lose your touch Dirt Dog! We are all going through difficult times just gotta bring out and show us what you got when you showed us back then[ like good hospitality(being friendly, talking nice, keeping bugs away from the kitchen asking kindly if we need any extra customer service] you got this ;) I'll be checking you guys out again in a little while. Stay safe and blessed. Until next time

Yelp
I had been dying to try this place! Everything looked amazing. I finally decided to take the one hour drive to this location and I am so glad I did! The DUI dog was delicious and the esquite, I was very disappointed when I finished it all! I wanted so much more!!! And you can't go wrong with the carne asada fries! Top it all off with a strawberry Jamaica and you got yourself the perfect meal! The interior has a cool vibe! What topped off the entire experience for me was the service received by Gabby! She was amazing and made sure we felt well taken care of!

Yelp
Pastrami dog for the win!! So my route took me to Pasadena that day. I wanted something different. I can make my own hot dog right? But not like this! This was amazing. I don't eat pastrami from any where. They always make it salty and barely any meat. All fat. So I took a risk here but man, they didn't disappoint! The texture was soft, flavorful and good portions. It wasn't salty at all. Meaty! The place is clean and allows dine in. The staff is super chill. I can see smiles under the masks. The inside art is amazing. Good vibes. Classic. Even the restroom lol Parking is tough. Be aware. Other than that, not much to say other than I'm happy with my experience here. Definitely going to explore the menu next time and save room for the street corn. Thanks for the good food and good vibes. Video coming soon on my ig. Keep up the good work

Yelp
The food was so good and the employees were really nice welcoming and informative. The decor is really cool they have a-lot of murals paying ode to the past rap artist and to the late great Kobe Bryant RIP

Yelp
Quick and yummy! Great service from Mario!! First time trying and it didn't disappoint. If you're craving hot dogs and the best fries, this is the spot.

Yelp
My first time here and I loved it! The service was incredible. Gabby was our server and she was so friendly and informative. The food was delicious. I tried the chili fries and my fiancé ordered the chili cheese dog. We really enjoyed both. The aesthetic here is super cool as well. Love the murals and the whole hip hop theme. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
LA is home to all kinds of fun food packed with flavor - dare I say it may be one of my top food cities in the country. On my latest trip, I just had to check out this spot that makes loaded hot dogs - something so classically American but amped up!

Yelp
I was really craving carne asada fries just recently and also haven't tried the new Dirt Dog here in Pasadena since I remembered enjoying the one near USC a lot! Because this is located in Pasadena, I would say the easiest way to park is do either street parking or go to the 90 mins free parking lots. The hot dogs are still as good as I remembered! It was juicy, flavorful, and not overly stuffing. Though, the carne asada fries could've been much better. That was really disappointing and felt like they skimped out on a lot of the ingredients compared to other carne asada fries I had, so it felt very lackluster. It didn't really satisfy my carne asada cravings, but the hot dogs were still delicious. I would honestly only come to Dirt Dog for just the hot dogs lol.

Yelp
Okay this is only a review for their fries, I KNOW how could we come to a place called Dirt Dog and not order one of the dogs? It was one of those days when I didn't feel well and needed something salty to help... we came across Dirt Dog and asked if they could make us plain fries no seasonings just salt & they were more than happy to FRIES were so good!! Like your favorite seasoned fries with all the crisp and perfect salt, will be coming back to try more & of course get the fries again! NOTE: plenty of indoor seating, limited outdoor seating but there's an alley right around the corner with tons of free-for-all tables
