Atlanta Restaurants You Think Should Win a Michelin Star | Eater Atlanta

"A pop-up run by Chef Zack Meloy known for tongue-in-cheek stunts—like a sign proclaiming '4-star Mitchelin'—and playful commentary about seeking a tire company's approval, positioning itself as irreverent in the awards discourse." - Henna Bakshi

My daughter & I drove for the first time to Seagrove NC, only 30 minutes from home to the lovely town of Potters. There's something special about the town. There were so many butterflies ! We visited four different Potteries and each one was a special experience. Dirtworks is a delightful place and Dan is a hoot! He has the most beautiful dogs & pottery. He also tells you stories about the Potters who are housing their goods with him. I had a great day.

Gorgeous store with a friendly, talented potter and the friendliest four-legged "sales team" you'll ever come across. My sister bought some pottery here years ago but ended up giving it away as a gift (she's kind and thoughtful like that) so we were thrilled to rediscover the shop so she could treat herself. She found two stunning pieces that will look perfect in her home! Maggie Mae was an attentive salesperson and certainly earned a delicious commission for the sale! Such big feet and so much hair isn't always a great look on a woman but Maggie Mae makes it work!

We stopped and met Dan and his beautiful St. Bernard, Maggie Mae. They were very friendly and helpful. The variety of the work, style and colors was stunning. The prices were more than reasonable and if we had more room in the car he'd have less for you chose from. I wanted to do all my Christmas shopping, and maybe I still will via his Etsy shop. One of the best potters in the area. Loved the little sippers! Can't wait to go back!!

Great place to shop for pottery. They offer a very good variety of items. The prices range from inexpensive, very reasonable to expensive for the bigger items. Definitely stop by and check them out.

Absolutely loved this store! The owner was so nice and talked to us about the products as well as the process. We went to a lot of stores and this one was by far my favorite.

Beautiful pottery, great quality, and affordable pricing. The potter gave us a very informative personal tour of the studio and kilns. He creates a lovely, varied collection in several different color pallettes and firing styles. It is a great place to purchase beautiful, functional pieces of pottery that are dishwasher safe and microwave safe.

This place had an incredible variety of works made by very few locals. I assume they have been around forever. They have many styles of glazes and colors including Raku. It was difficult for me to pick just one item... Many artful objects in several low-budget price ranges (under $20, under $50), as well as superb pieces (of which I wish I could afford) over $200 which were absolutely gorgeous and would cost twice that if you went elsewhere. I didn't plan on visiting this potter, but now can't wait to go back.

Nice selection. All price ranges. He took the time to demonstrate how to make a vase. I bought beautiful pottery earrings with copper wire decor. Worth the trip.

Yelp
It was getting close to closing time- that last hour where it will be hit or miss for open shops. It was just after 4pm in a small town of Seagrove and we stopped in at Dirtworks. The huge dog was the lasting impression and the young man who was so nice to chat with me! This was another shop that surprised me inside- it was huge and had beautiful displays!!! I had to lap the building a few times just to decide on a piece! John helped too and was also impressed with the sweet baby girl we met! She is the best greeter! I loved the studio space in the back- you can see through the window! You know I was peeking at what was in progress!

Yelp
Beautiful showroom with many potters on display. The owner is friendly and I love his pottery. I found a range of pieces and styles from inexpensive to more pricey. Definitely worth the trip if you are in the area.
