What an amazing experience at Dirty Bird's today! First time in....first of many. If you are a foodie, run...don't walk, don't wait...you will be so incredibly impressed with this great restaurant. Food was piping hot, crisp, crunchy goodness. We tried an assortment, their blackberry pancakes, light, fluffy decadent! Fried chicken with a crunchy beautiful crust and moist and delicious....and can I just say the onion rings are from another world. The salad was delicious, the blue corn hushpuppies were soooo good. We can't wait for our next visit! Thank you to the beautiful staff and of course the chef's....truly filled the soul today of two humble foodies!

There is a sound to this place, a warm, genuine hum at Dirty Birds that just feels right, the same way it has for years, even back at the old spot. Bringing my family, who were first-timers, and seeing them click with the vibe, it was a special moment. This spot is built around the feeling of community, the way the bench seating pushes you closer together. The staff here understands something essential about hospitality; my family absolutely raved about the crew's attention. That care makes the place an anchor. I’m often chasing the easy comfort of the chicken tenders, and you can see their quality for yourself in the photos I’ve collected over the years. The breading on that chicken is the real story it's the best around, consistently crisp and packed with flavor that sets it apart. Plus, those pickled green beans and peppers on the side are a must. What sets them apart is that scratch-made quality; you won't find premade truck food here. It’s all done in house. Their specials are a serious temptation, especially anything with noodles. The housemade noodles elevate dishes like their Chicken Alfredo, easily one of the best in the city. One crucial tip: They are a small, busy crew who take care of their staff, closing for bad weather, catering events, or just some much needed rest. Always check their social media before you head over. Metered parking is around. It just is what it is: reliable and good.

It’s been forever since I’ve been down to Dirty Birds, and I’m so happy it did not disappoint today. The hush puppies were 🔥 as always. The OG chicky sammich was terrific on its own, but once I added their homemade De Bo hot sauce, it was somehow even better. If you like heat but aren’t sure how much, start with the OG and try the De Bo sauce on the side, it’s the perfect kick. The homemade bun is spectacular, and the fry on that chicken is next level. Fries? Perfectly crispy. The whole meal was everything I hoped for, which is to say, perfection. I loved them back when they were tucked inside the Blackstone cafeteria. It always felt like some guys I’d want to have a beer with who just happened to make incredible chicken and were genuinely floored when people loved it. Now they’ve got their own shop, have been on DDD, and somehow still give off that same down-to-earth vibe. Just a bigger space and the same great crew doing what they love.

🔥 Dirty Birds: Fried, Twisted, and Totally Addictive 🍗🍸 Dirty Birds isn’t just serving fried chicken—it’s reinventing it. Their twist on the classics (hello, chicken and waffles!) is pure genius. Every bite is crispy, juicy, and unapologetically flavorful. And let’s talk about that Chopped Achiote Sandwhich—toasted, layered with pickled green beans, and somehow both wild and perfectly balanced. I didn’t know I needed it in my life until I had it… now I’m hooked. Plus that fried chicken sandwich is as big as your head! The Bloody Mary? Hands down the best I’ve ever had. Spicy, savory, and crafted like they actually care (because they do). It’s the kind of drink that makes you want to cancel your plans and stay for round two. The vibe is casual but cool, located in the historic Flatiron Hotel, the food is next-level, and the addiction is real. Dirty Birds is officially my go-to for comfort food with a twist—and I’m not looking back.

I came here for my friend’s birthday dinner and the food, service, and vibe of the place was amazing. The food portions are very large but the food quality is still very good. The restaurant workers are casual and very friendly and they even allowed my friend to play a song for her birthday. They also have movies playing on the large TVs. The dining area is cafeteria styled. Its a little expensive but its worth it. ❤️

Google
We tried Dirty Birds for the first time yesterday and it was delicious!! This place was recommended to us by 3 locals so we had to check it out. You guys, the food quality and uniqueness is unreal. We got the hush puppies, the OG sandwich, the Deebo sandwich and some fries with two fountain drinks. Both sandwiches had a lot of flavor, the bread is handmade and you can tell. It was very light and airy but the flavor was so good. The hush puppies, mannnn we have never had anything like that. We definitely wanted more! All together we have an amazing experience, everyone was friendly, it was really clean inside and the food is out of this world. If we come to Omaha again we will definitely eat here again. You must try this place!! ❤️

Google
First time visiting Omaha and only my second time to Nebraska. First time eating at Dirty Birds. In fact, a large % of those I asked if they had eaten here before...it was their first time also. I ordered blue corn hush puppies 😱 ... who knew these even existed!!! I also ordered the OG chicken sandwich, ready to hold them accountable for daring to assign an menu item this lofty titled name....Oh, the audacity 😂 Completely friendly family-like welcoming service, from placing my order, to their delivered to my table service, with an even added unexpected owner visit to ask me 'how I liked my hushpuppies'. The atmosphere of this being an enjoined street corner with sunny windows everywhere location with picnic table-like seating where you meet others, gave it the best vibes of all. Oh that's right ... about the food. Melt in your mouth, cooked to perfection and with giant portions ... 🤤🤤🤤 I am in a food coma and I can't get up. No wonder Guy Fieri loves this place. The telltale sign of a delicious place is customers smiling, talking and laughing. Dirty Birds has this overflowingly. I highly recommend DBs and will definitely eat here again.

Our first time at Dirty Birds and it won't be our last. Deliciously moist fried chicken and blueberry french toast was delightful. Enough for two meals. Staff was kind and helpful. Highly recommend this place for it's cute atmosphere in a historic building.

Yelp
Such amazing food, the care and creative thought that goes into every item on the menu shiws with every bite. So good. My Old Fashioned was sooo good. Thanks everyone there for another fabulous experience.

Yelp
Omaha is home to several restaurants visited by the Mayor of Flavortown but Dirty Birds is by far one of my faves. You'll have to watch the episode to get the words from the man himself. Previously in the Switch Food Hall, Dirty Birds claims the ground floor on the Flatiron Building...so you've got prime people watching on two sides and 3 times the parking opportunities. Walking distance from the Children's Museum and the Magnolia Hotel; and not too far of a jaunt if dining before a show at The Orpheum. Nobody who works here is a non-believer. I played it safe on the OG Chicken Sandwich but it didn't stop them from trying to pitch me a braver option. Food is fast...hot...and full of flavor. Never a dull visit. Skip lunch if coming for dinner...you're not leaving hungry. Or leaving with a big to-go box. Lots of flavor, a moderate amount of sass and edge; unique to the core. A must for out of town guests and Food Royalty.

Yelp
Run don't walk to Dirty Birds. Parking can be tough around lunch, but whatever it takes to get here is well worth it. If it is busy, there will be a wait. Again, it is worth it. We had the OG sandwich, onion rings, fries and fried pickles too. A couple beers and a drink made our wait go fast. The menu is wild, I can not wait to try them all. The drink menu is just as wild as the food. We tried the ReGRETAble (made by Greta) and the Full BS too. Both of these handmade cocktails tasted Awesome. The chicken sandwiches are massive, juicy and tasty too. The onion rigs could not be any lighter, the batter is delicious. There was plenty of each item we ordered. It was all so dang good. The service was great and they are quick to ask about your meal and answer any questions. The pickles, I almost forgot about the best fried pickles that I have ever had. Get the pickles and be patient. It is worth it. Dirty Birds is my new favorite in Omaha.

Yelp
There is so much hype surrounding this place. Finally, I decided to try it for myself...and...it's 100% NOT overrated. The service was great, the location is in the beautiful flatiron building, and a lovely outdoor patio with parking accessible. And with all that said, the food surpasses all. I got the Debo sandwich and a side of onion rings. I took the risk of taking it to-go and driving 20 minutes home before eating it. I was expecting a juicy soggy bun by the time I could eat it and I was so wrong. This magical creation somehow was still perfectly in tact after travel. The sauces were JUST enough, the flavors are almost indescribable and that chicken was crisp and juicy at the same time. Onion rings are some of the best in Omaha, and they do not skimp on the side of ranch, hallelujah. I'm not sure what sorcery happens behind the scenes at this spot but please do not stop. My only complaint is the limited hours. I have since then tried to return and both times were halted by their hours. Closed Monday and Tuesday and only open til 3pm on Wed and Sunday. We consumers says oof - that's rough to plan around.

Yelp
Everything was made fresh and you could tell. From the classic fried chicken sandwich, to the onion rings and the ranch sauce, this place was so good. It was a lively ambience, and service was very friendly. If you're craving a fried chicken sandwich, look no further!

Yelp
Not only do I enjoy visiting Dirty Birds, but I have also been to several special popup events they host for other chefs experimenting and building their reputations. I really appreciate what they do for the community, they're darn good people, and even better friend chicken sandwich. I just want spicier options available!

Yelp
Excellent and HUGE food. Bring a hungry friend! I could barely eat half. I had the "Omahawt" and it was delicious. The fries were very good, too. The guy behind d the counter was great, and I enjoyed the music playing.

Yelp
Had dirty birds tonight! Love this place ! Operated and owned my fellow Roadies! They were busy tonight which makes me happy for them. About a hour wait but it went by quickly. The bartender was so friendly as well. I could literally drink their Debo sauce. So damn good! Had the OmaHawt tonight. Can't go wrong here

Yelp
I came in for a chicken sandwich and left questioning every life decision that led me to eating lesser poultry before today. I ordered The OG and this thing is massive. Not "big," not "hefty", I mean comic-book-villain large. The sweet-tea brined chicken breast is insanely flavorful, ridiculously crispy, and honestly could be used as a blunt-force weapon if society ever collapses. The Lawry's seasoned fries? Incredible on their own. But then I met the Deebo honey garlic hot sauce, and suddenly everything leveled up like a video game. That sauce is unreal...sweet, spicy, addictive, and basically the spiritual equivalent of being smacked in the face by flavor in the best way possible. Service was fast, the food was hot, and the portions are no joke. If you come hungry, you'll leave happy (and probably needing a nap). Dirty Birds is a must-try. 10/10. Would absolutely drench everything in Deebo sauce again.

Yelp
First of all the ambiance as you enter chill laid / back vibe with lots of plants & awesome art on the walls Then you're immediately greeted by the welcoming friendly staff. I immediately felt at home and knowing I chose a great place to eat while visiting Omaha. My family and I loved the killer fried chicken!! The juiciest most mouthwatering chicken I've ever experienced! The batter has this amazing delicious ingredient I can't pin point but I was amazed!! So I ordered the fried green tomato sandwich! Just equally amazing! I had never previously ever tried a fried green tomato before so I figured, why not? So glad I did! It was a flavor explosion in your mouth! From the freshly baked bun to the cheese, the bacon, fried egg... tomato ... it was nothing short of incredible! This sandwich was so huge!!!! I could have easily shared all the servings were large to be honest. Thank you for making amazing food Dirty Birds!

Kristin P.

Yelp
Staff, ambiance and food was amazing!! Better go hungry or plan to share. The sandwiches are enormous. Didn't get pictures of the Fried Pickles, Onion Rings, OG or the Sweet Tea Breaded Tenders. 7 of us went and didn't even have to wait to get a table during the lunch rush on a Sunday. Food is made to order, but the freshness and flavor is worth the wait.

Yelp
Mind literally blown by the Omahawt sandwich. Appeared to be an entire chicken, if not several, with an aggressive spice level, complemented by pickles and some green beans, on a *perfect* bun. Bravo!!

Yelp
It took me way too long to get to Dirty Bird's for the first time. The inside is very nice & fun. You could even play video games on the bar TV! Super friendly & helpful service. Order at the bar, and they'll bring it out to you. Portions are large!!! But it is pricey especially if you're buying a pop or beer to drink. If you're taking home leftovers for the next day, the money is worth it in my opinion. This was some high quality chicken. The Deebo sauce is a must if you like some extra flavor & sauce. The onion rings were also delicious. BUT THE HUSH PUPPIES were the star of the show!!!!! - fried sweet tea brined tenders - blue corn hush puppies - onion rings Definitely coming back for the big chicken sandwiches!!!!

Yelp
Dirty Birds = SO GOOD! Just had the Chicken & Cake at Dirty Birds in downtown Omaha and WOW -- crispy, juicy chicken + sweet, fluffy pancake = perfection. Got to chat with Ms. Jasmine, one of the co-owners -- super kind and clearly passionate about what they're building here. Amazing food, welcoming vibe, and a place I'll definitely be coming back to! #DirtyBirdsOmaha #ChickenAndCake #FoodieFind #SupportLocal #OmahaEats #FiveStars #MustTry #GoodVibesOnly

Yelp
First, the most important thing...the food. I thought it was great. I had the OG sandwich. I'm not into fried chicken, but this was really good. A puffy Brioche bun was the foundation for a whopping big, crispy and juicy chicken tender with pickles and mayo. Of course I cut it in half and took part of it home. I shared onion rings with Big Bro, which were a standout since they were crispy with just the right amount of batter. Big Bro had a margarita to start, which looked really dinky to me for the $12 price. He liked it, about three swallows and it was gone. He ordered buttermilk waffles which had two fried chicken tenders, vanillabean berry syrup, macerated berries, créme fraîche and powdered sugar. He said it was delicious. He did say, though, that he would have liked just good, old-fashioned fried chicken but didn't see it on the menu until after the fact. The place is a small awkwardly shaped room which is natural given the shape of the building. I think they are going for a specific "vibe", which means eat and get going. Somewhere I saw a sign that said fast food, but it isn't. We were warned when we walked in that it would be 45 minutes to an hour before we would eat since everything is prepared to order. I was glad to get the heads up and we elected to stay. It was maybe 1/2 hour to get our rings to start. The seating is also meant to get diners out the door. Very sturdy, possibly custom built wood plank tables and benches aka picnic table style are not comfortable. But they are heavy so no one will tip off a bench. There was at least one high top table with metal chairs, but those didn't look comfy either. It was very loud with two big TVs going with sports eliciting cheers at times. There is creative spelling on the menu, maybe by design. If I go there again, I will pick a time when they aren't so crowded. The food is excellent but the vibe isn't for me.

Yelp
This was an awesome and worthy stop on the trip, I wanted something iconic to Omaha while we passed through for lunch and this was perfect. Mamma J was really helpful walking me through the menu and I was happy to know they had a gluten free option for their sweet tea brined tenders. I had them over a seasonal salad and my friend got the Omaha hot fried chicken sandwich. Everything was so perfectly cooked and the meat itself was so juicy I won't forget that chicken tender. The place itself is real large with lots of natural light on the corner of a pretty quiet block.
google avatar

Therese J.

Yelp
The service was top-notch. Everybody that worked in the Dirty Bird was super friendly and awesome. The ambience was great, big open space, inside and outside tables. The food was so delicious. I went there three times while I was in Omaha that's how good the food was. Their drinks were wonderful as well. We had bloody Mary's. My daughter and I. The onion rings were spectacular. I had the chicken sandwich. I think it was called the Debo. I'm not sure I can't remember, but it was huge and delicious one day. I had a blackberry brie pancakes. It was so good as well. Everything was great. I really like the place.
google avatar

Yelp
Jeff with a G was the best:) Exceptional service! Food was out of this world....we had OGs (highly recommend) hush puppy, fries, pickles, pickles, and pickles! Great atmosphere! Ohio will be back! Go Buckeyes!

Yelp
Every time I am in Omaha for work, my team cannot go without eating Dirty Birds. The food is amazing, with a unique and delicious menu every time. I ate the chicken and waffles and my other team members ate other dishes full of wonderful flavors on the menu. The staff is amazing, checking in and kind too! They also cater too- they recently catered for the Indigenous Peoples Summit 2025 - what an honor to eat two meals by Dirty Birds.

Yelp
If you're searching for the best fried chicken and wings in Omaha, NE this is the SPOT! With grand portion sizes, deliciously crispy dishes it was worth the hour drive from Lincoln. All the servers were welcoming and kind with seating available inside/outside. Plan accordingly and ask for wait times as it can get busy. The sweet tea brined (dry rub) wings were super juicy and tender with their savory ranch. Will be coming back!
google avatar

Ami S.

Yelp
Great ambiance and friendly staff! I had chicken with French fries and my husband had the fried chicken sandwich - I can't remember the official menu name! We were visiting from the east coast and enjoyed this lunch spot!

Ryan C.

Yelp
By far one of the best and most accessible restaurants in Nebraska. They do a great job with their typical menu and always offer something special or new every few weeks that blows us away. We have been there about 10 times and I have never had anything but incredible food and service. Also the place is just a total vibe, great decorations and a great location. The wait, when there is one, is absolutely worth it
google avatar

Yelp
OG sandwich, dirty martini, onion rings and tenders. All incredible! Love the vibe, the music and the whole experience. Wanted to go back the next day for lunch but we waited a respectable 4 days. Ha!

Yelp
How funny is it that their website is: [https://www.dirtybirds69.com/]? After they moved from their old Blackstone location, I only had the chance to visit their new spot once before moving to another state, and I'm really bummed about it. They started baking their own bread for their sandwiches, which took their food to the next level. I didn't think their OG sandwich could get any better, but it did. We ordered the OG sandwich and the biscuits and gravy because I'm always on the hunt for good Bs&Gs, though I've yet to find one that truly hits the mark--and this visit was no exception; it was just okay. The OG sandwich was far superior, and I was pretty sad when my boyfriend devoured most of it without offering me another bite. What's impressive is that they make almost everything in-house, except for the fries, which is a rarity these days when you can get so many things premade. Service was fine--nothing remarkable. We visited during an off-peak time, so the restaurant was quiet and practically empty, which made for a nice, peaceful meal.
google avatar

Jacob T.

Yelp
At first glance, I thought it was a little overpriced and menu seamed limited...now that was just first glance. At first bite on the other hand....WOW. Everything they do is done well. The hush puppies.... How could something so simple be so good? The fried chicken is so good and so moist. The house pickled veggies were incredible. Give it a shot, you will be pleasantly surprised. Yum yum!

Yelp
sometimes the wait can be long but it is WORTH IT. sandwiches are huge, wet delicacies. fries always fresh & fluffy. never had the beet salad before but it was GREAT!!! currently fighting of my cat bc he desperately wants a bite of this giant juicy sandwich. decor in here is hilarious, i love the collection of napkin chickens. keep up the awesome work!!

Yelp
We came to eat lunch after checking out Creighton university. The music is fun, the vibe is upbeat and customers are happy to be eating good food. I had the salad, and it was a really good one with actually ripe tomatoes, fresh greens, and other yummies. The chicken was very juicy and tender. That sandwich my son had was so good, and so big he took home half for later . The biscuits and gravy was delicious, and a nice spin with a fried egg on top, like a Midwest Loco Moco! Definitely recommend eating here!

jason W.

Yelp
Best chicken sandwich I've ever had. Best pancakes too. Get a slice of the orange phyllo cake. You won't regret it. Everything we had was phenomenal, including the service and staff. I can't wait to go back and try other menu items.

Yelp
We entered Dirty Birds looking for a filling dinner after a day of driving. It's located in kind of a triangle shaped building, with plenty of seats both inside and out. It looks like it would be great for large groups given how large some of their tables are. The restaurant itself is counter service - you order at the counter all the way in the back, take a number and wait for your food at a table. We ended up ordering a couple of items given how hungry we were. Omahawt ($14) - Giant sandwich incoming - super huge breaded chicken thigh that completely dwarfs the bun. It turns out that a lot of it is breading, especially on the sides, but that breading is delicious and doesn't detract from the sandwich at all. The chicken is tossed in a pool of spicy cayenne oil, but while the oil is an angry red color, it's more bark than bite, with a smoky and bitter taste than heat. I couldn't really detect any sweetness or other flavors in the oil that I'd normally associate with a Nashville hot chicken. I'd consider it to be maybe a mild if you compare to a normal hot chicken place. The meat itself is tender and moist. Perched on top of the chicken are pickled green beans and underneath are plenty of pickles, fresh and tangy to contrast the spicy flavors. Everything is on a fluffy buttered homemade bun, although it isn't enough to contain all of the oil dripping off of the chicken. Seriously, there's a ton of oil dripping all over the place and you will get your hands dirty eating this - be sure to wash them after eating, or else you might regret it! (4/5) Biscuits & Gravy ($17) - This is a beautiful dish. A perfectly fried egg, with lacy, brown, crispy edges and a just set yolk rests on a fried chicken thigh, with biscuits and a fantastic sausage gravy to serve as the base. There's a dash of black pepper on the yolk and minced chives all around. The chicken has flavorful, crispy breading, with steaming hot, tender meat inside. I could pull pieces of the chicken apart with just my fork. The biscuit is on the dense side - I wouldn't eat it by itself, but it works well in this dish and helps to soak up the delicious, heavy gravy. The gravy is seriously fantastic with a deep meaty savoriness - I absolutely love this gravy and it really brings the entire dish together. Picked onions sprinkled on top go well to add some tang and helps clear the palate and cuts through the richness of the gravy. (5/5) We also got a basket of fries for $5 - these are pretty typical commercial battered fries, fried well. They are perfectly serviceable but I actually don't recommend getting them because the entree potion sizes are gigantic. We ended up having a bunch of leftovers and basically not eating any of the fries since we were so full. Dirty Birds serves some fantastic fried chicken and this meal was easily the best we had on our drive through Nebraska. I definitely recommend it! Bathrooms - One individual room for each gender. The interior is super dark inside - there's only a single dim light but the walls, floor, and ceiling are all painted black. Not my favorite.

Yelp
I regularly pop in for a lunch when working downtown. I always get the grilled chicken tenders when I am trying be healthy, and they're definitely good, but sometimes they don't taste as done as I'd like. However, this last time was great. Adding in a drink, fries and side of coleslaw can get pretty spendy. A lunch for 2 can easily hit $50+ if the extras are added in. However, the portions are huge and everything is tasty, it's just a bit pricier for lunch. They do offer cocktails and other fun extras too. It's still beautiful inside and out.
google avatar

Yelp
Probably one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. When I go to a place that I've received a lot of recommendations for, I tend to get overwhelmed by the menu... Go simple and get their OG sandwich if its your first time, you will not regret it. Portions are large. Wait was reasonable since everything comes out fresh. Service was super friendly and laid back. What an iconic spot.
google avatar

Connor L.

Yelp
When we arrived we were told a 30-40 minute wait for food. Ended up being an hour. Not the end of the world just wish they were up front and honest at the beginning. I had the omahawt sandwich it was fine not my favorite take on the hot chicken sandwich but the chicken was juicy. I had the jalapeño corn slaw. It was solid not fantastic. My coworker had the OG chicken sandwich and potato salad. He said the potato salad was good and the chicken sandwich pretty good but a lot of breading to chicken ratio. The pickles were the star of the show for him! Forgot pictures unfortunately. Large portions but you pay for it. Cool spot in a cool building just didn't live up to they hype for me especially after the super long wait.

Yelp
We had some friends in town and a couple others who had been to Dirty Birds before suggested it. I love chicken so I was completely game to try it out! When we got there it was somewhat busy, but not crazy. We were told that our wait time would be about 50 minutes for our food. We found a highchair for our toddler and had our group sitting at two sets of the picnic tables inside. I chose to get the OG and my husband got the Omahawt. We decided to buy a basket of onion rings and a basket of fries to share with the table. Firstly, I thought the onion rings were absolutely fantastic. They were probably some of the best I've ever had. The sauce that came with them was also delicious. It had a little bit of a zing, but nothing that was too spicy for even our toddler. The fries were also good. I was really excited to try my sandwich but when I got it I didn't feel like it had as much flavor as I was anticipating based on how long they brined the chicken for. The flavorful unfortunately fell a little flat for me. I however did love the bread that it was toasted on. My husband said that his sandwich had a really good flavor and he would order it again. The service was so-so and they really only had one person taking orders and running around in the front of the house. If I went back I might try to order some thing different on the menu. I definitely want to try the hush puppies at some point. Definitely repeat the onion rings, though!

Yelp
Great tasting food, big size portions, awesome atmosphere & excellent customer service makes this my fav go to chicken spot in Omaha!

Yelp
Open | Casual | Portions Open - upon arriving, you will immediately notice the open floor layout of the restaurant. The space is filled with natural sunlight, thanks to the abundance of floor-to-ceiling windows that span at least 270° of the venue. Additionally, there is both indoor and outdoor seating available, making it a great spot to hang out and enjoy the ambiance. The restaurant is situated on a street with decent car traffic, making it easily accessible. Overall, it's a trendy and inviting location. Causal: The place has a relaxed atmosphere that's perfect for a midday brunch or lunch grab-and-go. It's also a great spot for a first date meal. If you're someone who prioritizes the food over the company, this is the place for you. Even Guy Fieri has featured it on the Food Channel, and it has a great vibe. You don't need to dress up to fit in here, just bring your appetite and come as you are. Portions: as you can see in the photos, the portions served at this place are huge. In fact, the photos only show the half portion of pancakes and chicken, as well as the half portion of wings with fries. You might want to be prepared for leftovers or come with a very large appetite. This eatery in Omaha offers the best price point to portions ratio, making it a great value for your money. Pro tip: they have a military discount. Pro tip: it is super popular and therefore busy. Be prepared for a bit of a wait. Pro tip: at first glance the prices are a bit high for causal dinning spot, but trust me its a deal when you see the portions.

Yelp
This place was a vibe! Great service.. Amazing food.. and great atmosphere! Visited Dirty Birds on a Saturday evening and the atmosphere was on point.. it felt like Hip Hop and R&B night.. the song playlist was from the 90's to current and there was not one bad song heard!! I couldn't stop dancing in my chair to enjoy my food LoL.. We had the Fried pickles and they were a 10/10!! Also had the chicken and waffles 8.5/10 and my husband had the chicken and pancakes 9/10... Overall would give the restaurant a 9/10.. you will not be disappointed!!

Yelp
The pancakes and the chicken tenders were good. There were parts of the pancakes that were harder to eat. Dont sure if there was egg in the batter or ricotta but there were parts of the pancakes that felt plastic-y the tenders were good. Nice size. The breading does not stay on but the flavor of the breading was nice and crispy and the tender was juicy. The potato salad needs work. There are sliced olives and pickles inside. This was my least favorite thing. It was missing flavor. I was open to the olives and thought it would bring some saltiness to the salad. I think it needs more potatoe chucks and more seasoning. Now the star of the show were the fried pickles. They were delicious. Nice size. Nice crispy breading on the outside. Flavor was on point. The portion size was also nice for $10. Now the service was ok. You order at the bar. I wasn't given any instructions about utensils and napkins. I thought it was going to arrive with my food. I ended up seeing other people ask for their location and I followed and grabbed my own. I would eat here again. It is close to the Magnolia hotel as well.

Yelp
Walked in on a busy Sunday and were told the wait time. We stayed and it was worth it. Should/could have shared and been happy but we got to go containers and loved the leftovers. Fantastic staff and the food was great also!

Yelp
My husband and I ate here while stopping in the area along our road trip. He tried the chicken & pancakes and I had the Omahawt sandwich. The meal was delicious! The pancakes were thick and fluffy and had blackberries cooked inside - reminded me of a cobbler taste. The Omahawt Sandwich exceeded my expectations for a spicy chicken sandwich. The fries were cooked to perfection. I'm so happy that we decided to give this place a try. The only negative thing was there were so many people inside that we had to sit outside, but hey, good for the restaurant, we really didn't mind. Also, don't expect your food to come out quick, this isn't a fast food type of place. They cook your food to order and it is well worth the wait!! If we find ourselves back in the area, we will definitely stop in again.

Yelp
Best tender fried chicken I've ever had! What made it special is our son with a disability doesn't try many new foods and he ate the chicken tender and loved it which was a huge win for us Love a casual atmosphere that also has highend cocktails. Highly recommend the margarita

Yelp
Some friends and I visited Omaha for a week recently, and tried out Dirty Birds, close to our hotel. It was so good. I had The OG fried chicken sandwich, which was the best ever. My friend had the Sweet Tea Brined Wings, which I sampled. They were probably the best wings I've ever had, no kidding. We went back a couple days later with another friend, and I had Chicken & Waffles. Again, the chicken was great, and the waffles were, too. No need to drown them in maple syrup, as they came with raspberries, powdered sugar, a light syrup and more. We all loved the food and will surely come back during our next visit to Omaha.

Yelp
On the way to the airport and decided to stop at Dirty Birds for a quick sandwich. The right choice was made.. I got the OG, so damn good. Sizey, crispy and delicious. The fries were awesome as well. No Heinz ketchup it was homemade you could taste the love. The staff is so kind as well. And you can tell they love what they are doing. Dirty Birds makes Omaha better. GO TO THERE!!

Yelp
Dirty Birds does a good chicken sandwich. It has a very cool hip vibe on the inside. There is some outdoor seating which is an added bonus as the weather gets nicer!! The portions are large (I could only eat about 1/3 before I was uncomfortably full haha). The dirty bread was very dense. The only downside is it was rather greasy. The fries were fresh, hot and crispy. The staff members were very friendly and chatted with us while we ordered.

Yelp
Everytime I come here I'm impressed, everything scratch made and the service is always incredible. A great setup always playing good music and good vibes. Shoutout to Mike, Jeff, and Mama J. Get the achiote chicken sandwich, the Debo, the Cuban, the OG, literally anything and you'll be pleased.
