You want good wings? This is your place! We just went with the traditional buffalo style but they had a list of different wings that will please anyone. They were so good! We eat wings at a lot of places and I am going to say these were the best I have had! They also make good crispy tator tots!! Can't wait to go back!

Sometimes rating things from 1-5 doesn’t quite give the level of excellence a place deserves! This place was freaking delicious. I would go back in a heart beat too bad there are none in Utah. When I first saw the menu I wasn’t too happy about the price. However knowing what I know now I would pay that much for wings in a heartbeat. Not to mention we randomly went on a Wednesday which is apparently half off boneless wings night so it wasn’t even expensive. Would definitely recommend this place after a day at the beach.

Great food. Seems like a good crew runs this place too. Tried Ja-Colby Burger with tots and I loved it. The service was also awesome. Very nice variety of art and dope they support locals.

🍗 🐔 Top notch big juicy wings. I’m not good with spice so I went for Honey BBQ (my favorite), regular BBQ, Hawaiian, and Teriyaki sauces. In terms of volume: 10 wings will satisfy you, 15 if you’re hungry, 20 if you’re an eating machine

We got an order of wings to go while visiting from out of town and let me tell you they had some of the best wings I’ve ever had! We got an order of 20 with medium heat buffalo sauce and the wings were perfect and the sauce was delicious. There was a little mix up on our order with the type of wings we wanted (half flats and half drums and they gave us all drums). But they took care of me and fixed the issue after I went back and let them know so thank you very much for that! If you are looking for a great wing place in San Diego definitely give this place a try, I haven’t had wings this good in a long time.

Like the name says... expect it dirty....sticky tables, greasy hands and dirty wings! There is the all you can eat wings with all the variety of sauces for s real American experience. Waiter was nice and and he took care of us very well. We liked it.

Service and food was top notch. Wings were a big and cooked correctly. Price is a little high, but they have specials everyday so you can find more value. Will definitely be back.

This is my second time here, but the first time inside. The staff was very friendly and observant with what customers needs. Their garlic parmesan fries are delicious and the tater tots were cooked to perfection. For the wings I tried the ninja sauce and it was good, but not spicy to me, tasted more of the bbq sauce than the spice. I like this place, hopefully stop by some more in the future. They have a long list of wing sauce to try.

If you're looking for a place with great food, stellar service, and unbeatable vibes, look no further than Dirty Birds in Pacific Beach. We waited over an hour to get in, but it was worth every minute. To kick things off, we ordered the fried pickles, mozzarella sticks, mac n cheese bites, quesadilla, and nachos. The quesadillas were absolute FIRE. For the main course, we all went with the boneless wings, which are half off on Wednesday nights. I got about 15-18 wings in a pound batch and tried the Apple Bourbon Chipotle and 3-peat BBQ sauces. Both were good, but next time, I'm definitely going for the garlic parm. The pitchers of beer were crisp and tasted like the start of bad decisions, but I managed to stay on my best behavior--you're welcome, honey! Side Note: I think my wife hates me but I'm too scared to ask because she will definitely take the house and my 2012 Ford F-250 in the divorce. Overall, Dirty Birds did not disappoint. When we walked in, the sign said please seat yourself! After it got busy, they turned it around to please wait to be seated! We chose a table off to the side. Had a nice view of the bar and other tables and the passerbys. We got half off in-bone wings for happy hour. Woot! I chose the spiciest one and the dry jerk rub. (It was a yellow flag but it belongs with the red flags!) My boo and I loved both. We got ten of each set of flavored wings. We ate all but four. Got them in a box to go. The tater tots were also delicious and fresh and filling. They went well with the ketchup or mustard on the table. My boo loved the music in the background. Lots of country beats. We were surprised to see the NY Mets and Rangers on two of the TV's. The draft beer selection was meh for my tastes, but maybe another time I'll find the right one. This is my new favorite wings spot because the spicy wings are actually spicy! Will recommend anyone who's in the area to come here for a bite. Service was great, including ice water service, and big cups too, which is great for those h-h-hot bites! Happy eats!

Ok , they don't tell you that they have a 4 percent service charge on top of your tip. When they give you your bill at the table it doesn't show this. Because it's on a portable pay and sign tablet. Only if you get a printout does it show this. They are ripping you off. Food is overpriced , try another restaurant. They rip u off!!!!! i

Combos. Some good things just seem a little better when paired with another good thing. For some, two good things paired together are "wings and things." Well if you've always wanted to pair a San Diego beach as your "thing" with some tasty wings, then we have a recommendation for you. While other "Dirty Birds" locations do exist, the one in the Pacific Beach neighborhood is the "OG" where it all began and it is literally a mere two short blocks from the ocean. As you enter you may notice the 12 "wing championship banners" that are proudly displayed because they've hung more championship banners than the San Diego Padres. (Oh, wait. Maybe that's because the Pads have never actually won a championship...like...ever. ‍) Their hotness spectrum is comprehensive and clearly communicated (to prevent the accidental incineration of unsuspecting tastebuds). While I'm more of a traditional wings kinda guy, I have to admit that their boneless wings gave their bone in counterparts a run for their money. Speaking of , they offer "Happy Hour" 1/2 priced wings Monday-Friday (3-6 p.m.). Expect searching for a parking spot to be an adventure, but quit your whining since you'll be at the beach (so no one will feel like offering you sympathy anyway). First and foremost I walked in and no one greeted me , I walk up to the bar and ask the lady name Cayla for my pick up order she had a very bad attitude , when she approached me with my food the dropped my food on the counter then walked away , with no conversation after that and didn't even say thank you or ask if I needed anything else . Open my bag and this is what I came home with a bag of food with my salad everywhere !

We ordered the Honey Mustard, Honey BBQ, and Sweet Chili wings. The skin had the perfect crisp and the chicken itself was nice and juicy. Honey Mustard: 10/10 they had the perfect amount of sauce and the honey mustard was slightly sweet and not sour at all which complemented the wings perfectly. I wanted to ask for extra sauce on the side just to eat with the fries! Honey BBQ: 7/10 the wings were way too saucey I ended up scraping most of the sauce off. Sweet Chili: 9/10 tasted like the typical sweet chili wing. Can't go wrong!!

Walked in, waited 5 minutes and Noone was around to help. I ended up calling the restaurant and when the woman came outside she had the worst attitude like I was bothering her. I wish I got her name. She should be fired!!!! Disgusting customer service!!!

Craving Buffalo chicken cheese fries and luckily Dirty Birds didn't disappoint . Totally hit the spot. Got a side of ranch and side of Buffalo sauce . A little too much blue cheese crumble but no problem picked them off.

Solid experience at Dirty Birds yesterday. Good service. It's all deep fried food so it's not a culinary genius stuff. But the green beans, dill pickles and chicken tenders were all good. I had a well made spicy Bloody Mary and an ice cold local beer. We had great friendly service but I forgot to get her name. This is a great place to meet up with friends.

Decent wings but great service. Lemon pepper wings: 3/5 Very salty but they are well cooked. Habenero wings: 3/5 They are tasty and have a great sweet flavor but definitely needs to have a kick as they aren't really spicy. Super Nachos: 4/5 Great flavor and they are pretty loaded. Would recommend this over the wings. Very filling. Service was great and welcoming as well, I would recommend stopping by for a personal opinion.

Always my first stop when we vacation in PB. The best wings hands down, also loved the great selection of Cutwaters. Makes me even more excited to keep coming back. Dirty tots are killer

We ordered to go. We got 20 garlic parm, 10 salt n vinegar, 10 naked wings and 2 baskets of fries. While we waited my wife ordered 805 on tap. Super friendly and they didn't forget our ranch. Cuz we can't eat wings without ranch. Between the 9 of us, we couldn't finish it. Every flavor we got was good and crispy. It was Saturday, so customers were watching football and enjoying themselves. We always go to PB and we are adding Dirty Birds to our list. Thank you Dirty Birds!

wings really good ambien was fine, tvs a bit too loud, service was friendly. we ordered boneless buffalo and garlic wings, french fries are really good too.

I was excited to have these wings again, as I am visiting. Such a disappointment! First, you walk into the establishment and are met with BLARING noise from the TV. It's obnoxious. Way too loud. Can't even hear yourself think. For appetizers, we got "Mac and cheese balls" and tots...the balls are not filled with Mac and cheese. It's some trash thick paste with bits and pieces of noodles, and some bacon. The flavor is atrocious. Tots are good! Crispy and good flavor. Not too salty. We got 20 wings, which allows you 4 sauces. If you get three, it's either 10-5-5 or 5 each. What I wasn't told was that they won't split it evenly if I got 3 sauces. Ended up with 5 of each flavor I got and 5 naked wings...that I didn't know I was going to get. The wings were inconsistent but the big and juicy ones were delicious. Service was scarce. We were checked on once during our outing, and had to track another worker down for our check. Only tables ordering alcohol got service, it seemed. Our drinks were not refilled, and I didn't get any other extras I asked for. Overall, would I dine here again? Probably not. Seems like a waste of time to eat here when you can't enjoy your meal/time.

Solid wing spot in PB! Small cozy restaurant with plenty of TVs to watch games. Friendly & quick service. Large menu with plenty of options, but the wings are most popular. Sooooooo many wing flavors to choose from, all sounding amazing. Chicken sliders with tots- my friend ordered this. She said it was okay. Needed some Mayo or ranch. The tots were good. Dirty Jerk Fries- crispy on the outside. Little spicy with the jerk seasoning. Great ranch!!!! I'd order the fries again, but try a different seasoning. 10 piece Wings: 3 Peat BBQ/Seoul Wing- large wings! Lots of meat on there. My favorite was the 3 Peat BBQ, which was the severs recommendation. I was most excited for the Seoul wings, but they were just okay.

Dirty birds was a great spot for happy hour wings. The flora were pretty good. The quality of the chicken was good. My only complaints were probably in my own choices in sauces and the uncomfortable barstools. If you are in pb I'd grab hh here for sure.

ALL THE CHICKEN WINGS!!! Holy moly this place has a giant selection of flavors when it comes to chicken wings. It kinda sucks you have to pay more if you want 4 flavors for 20 wings but I paid it LOL My friend and I tried the Bruce Lee, Apple Bourbon , Naked and fireball. I personally liked the Bruce Lee and the other flavors were pretty meh. Nothing to die for but that just means I need to come back and try the other 20 flavors on their extensive menu. As for appetizers, we went for the aztec dusted tater tots and the fried green beans. The aztec tots were sooooooo salty. I wouldn't even touch it and I felt so bad of wasting food so I gave it away to a homeless person. However, the fried green beans were the star of the show! I liked it more than the wings. This is a fun casual sports bar in PB and I would come back! The wings were honestly juicy and not dry. The flavors I picked were not my cup of tea but there's definitely more to try.

Stopped at this place late at night to get some chicken wings. The chicken wings aren't exactly what you'd expect, of perfect circles. They're literally pieces of cut up chicken handmade into boneless chicken wings which was so great. They were so fresh and no weird fatty pieces. I will say the mild was pretty spicy. I wish they were a little crispier, otherwise they were the perfect snack to bring to the beach.

I was told my water bottle was not allowed in because of some "law" prior to getting a seat. Really water? Sounded very made up. It was a pretty warm day outside too. Just read another review about a week ago they were asked to leave because their child couldn't eat not much of anything at this restaurant because of sialic and they had their own food just for their kid but was told to leave because of that. Horrible horrible horrible type of establishment to dine at.

We found Dirty Birds in walking distance from our hotel so we stopped here for dinner. Their menu looked delicious, with wings being one of the main choices! We had just missed the happy hour with wing specials and it looked like everyone around us was eating wings. My husband and I decided to go for other things on the menu. He had a bbq burger with fries - which he said was delicious! I ordered the Dirty chicken tacos and pasta salad. I would order these again!! The Dirty Ranch sauce was totally my thing and really good. Our waitress was really nice and the bar atmosphere was cool too. Seems like a good spot to meet friends or sit down if you have a larger group.

The food was super salty. The meat must be brined in salt. Everything was so salty to the point where it was no palatable. I had higher hopes for this place but we couldn't finish our meal due to the amount of salt.

Came here for football Sunday and managed to grab a table by the window. Our server was very attentive and explained the recommended flavors to us. We tried the Spicy garlic, garlic serrano, 3 peat BBQ and the PMP warrior wings with a side of fries and was very impressed with the flavors and crispiness of each wing. This will be our go to wing spot from now on, especially if we want to watch a sports game. The atmosphere is very welcoming and fun.

Good first time ever experience. Scored parking right out front. Came to watch Aztec basketball. Not a problem. Good sports bar type atmosphere. Decent beer selection We tried three dry rub flavors: Aztec (Cajun), Lemon Pepper and Dry Jerk on tots. In general, these rubs came off as too salt-forward, but that may be the result of enthusiastic application? My son thought the Lemon Pepper was too "lemony." I didn't mind that part. I thought they may have been brined in order to impart such a deep flavor. I would avoid the Dry Jerk altogether. Too much cumin or something and spicier than it needs to be. I'd also do fries over tots, which maybe absorbed too much oil? All of the wings were about perfectly cooked. Good service. Will be back. As a Maryland guy, I was mad-dogging the Old Bay rub, but I need to save that for next time!

We would like to say something about the death of a certain someone that was found in the Pacific Beach location. We understand the frustration that everyone has experienced from this tragic event. However for those of you that speak as though you were indeed there so see this horrific event take place, don't belittle the restaurant or it's owners for what had happened. As we human beings know, we hear one thing, add our own personal "ideas of what may have happened" in order to make the overall objective that much more "Real." If you truly know Adam and Johnny (the owners of the Dirty Birds brand) you would know that they are indeed not the negative individuals that many are portraying they that are. They are caring men! They care so much about their staff that they have invited employees to opening day for the San Diego Padres. We get it...That people get mad at events that they are not in control of. Please speak before you type. If you absolutely know that FACTS, then speak. If you don't then hold your peace.

I went here on a weekday evening after some canceled plans. The vibe is very dive bar. The sign at the front said to wait to be seated. I waited, and waited. After about 15 min of nobody acknowledging me, I went up yo a busser. He got the bartender to wait on me. I ordered 10 wings to-go and they were $19. I had a beer while I waited, which was $7. So for 10 wings and a beer, $26 before tax and tip. The wings were good- nothing out of the ordinary. This place is fine but definitely very pricey for what you get, even for the area.

Excellent deals early in the week. The wings are varied and flavorful. Be advised the spice level is on the Caucasian scale (not as hot as advertised) It has a cozy beach ambiance as expected of a pacific beach venue, with the charm of a wing sports bar. Service is attentive even on a busy night.

It's a sports bar with bar food. Just know that from the get go. I enjoyed the food, service was a little slow but granted that happens at times. My friends ordered champagne for mimosas. Be advised- the juice that comes with your bottle is about 10oz. Not a bad thing if you want to get hammered, but also not the best if you're already hungover. Definitely a preference with your choice. I got a dirty bird tots. It's a good portion size for price. They have several locations throughout SD, j recommend it. Tip: try their ninja wings. They're a good choice for you spicy lovers.

My family wanted chicken wings and had heard that Dirty Birds had great wings. So we walked from hotel. There were a total of 17 of us, two families. Stood at door for about 5 minutes because the sign was posted wait to be seated. Got staffs attention to assist us. She stated she would have to ask the bartender if we could be attended to. The west side of establishment was empty. She came back and stated we had to be added to waitlist. Long story short we were added to waitlist. There were other people waking in and being seated. We waited about 15 minutes. Before we decided to leave. Since We had children that were hungry with us. Not sure what was going on there but never received a text that a table was ever ready. Didn't have that welcoming vibe!

Hands down the worst chicken I've ever had in my life. The chicken was extremely dry & nearly inedible. Additionally, the staff appeared to be distracted & disinterested in conducting their most basic duties. Definitely will not return.

Our group stopped here for some mimosas and a quick bite and dirty birds did not disappoint! The fries (not pictured) were tasty and crispy and the nachos were stacked with toppings and enjoyable. The mimosa flavors were grapefruit juice, cranberry juice, and orange juice. There was one waitress during the morning Saturday rush and she did great.

Easily the best chicken wings ive ever had. So many amazing choices, they are all good. Service is always friendly! Ambiance is super cool cause of the dive bar vibe. They always have good games playing but ultimately its all about the wings. These wings are incredible; lemon pepper, orange chicken and buffalo are some of the best.

My boyfriend and I came in here last night around 8:30/9 and I was very disappointed with the "service." The food was not able to make up for it. First, it took at least five minutes to be acknowledged. Staff seemed like they were literally trying to pretend not to see us...Extremely hard to do since my big pink furry jacket couldn't be that hard to see... then once we were seated it took another 10 minutes to get "service." My boyfriend ordered waters for us to drink and as soon as the server knew we were not drinking, she immediately took her time to take our order. Once we ordered, we went outside for a QUICK smoke break and the food was on the table, but the server bitched to us about how we were not seated when the food got there. Needless to say, it was my birthday and I had the worst dinner ever. I will never be back. Teach your staff how to tell time and give decent customer service at least.

Yet another awesome experience at Dirty Birds! Came to watch some sports and enjoy some delicious wings and was not disappointed! Service was fast and friendly as always and we really enjoyed our pound of boneless wings with our usual Seoul on half and the Mango Habanero on the other half. The Mango habanero was good but wasn't spicy in our opinion, just sweet. Definitely milder than the Seoul. Loved the little sparkly holiday candles too! And great deals on pitchers on Tuesdays so we saved some $ on our pitcher of Big Wave too :)

This was the worst experience of my vacation at the Crystal Pier. I literally ordered two chicken strips and tater tots for my daughter and an HOUR later, they have no food for me. They blamed everything on their computers crashing and made no attempt to fix their mistake and just make the food immediately. They didn't even help me with getting a refund on the phone. Don't go here if you can avoid it. Horrible service

I'm torn... I've been here numerous times and the food is amazing! So definitely 5 stars for that. The reason for 3 stars is cause of this situation. Looked on the app and saw they have half priced wings on Tuesday. Husband just so happened to be working 5 min away today so we decided he would bring it home for dinner... even if we live 2 hours away. Cold dirty birds wings is better than none!!! Well apparently the daily specials do not count for take out.. although no where on the app does it state that! Highly disappointed that they wouldn't honor the deal. So $70 later, which should've been a $35 dinner. I would've thought for customer service sake, they could have honored it this one time. Oh well! Guess customer service isn't that important to some establishments!

Came here because i am from baltimore MD- as a current bartender in downtown san diego I can confidently say this is the WORST service i've ever had in my life. The waitress was entirely incompetent and RUDE. also seemed she was intoxicated. i've never asked to speak to a manager in my life and I asked to speak to theirs; He did absolutely nothing to compensate for the situation at hand and was very dismissive. And listen i'm down for employees having a drink together, But not on the job 6pm on a thursday.

Takeout during COVID: still 5 stars!! Tried some different flavors this time - Dirty Dry Jerk (good), Dry Habanero Lime (absolutely MILD, no sign of heat whatsoever according to my 6yo), Spicy Garlic (has a good level of heat and yummy too!) and some flavors we were familiar with like Aztec and Lemon Pepper - both still delish!

My friends and I recently tried this spot because we were hungry and desperate. We got the wings...because it's a wing spot obviously. When I tell you that the food was not got good even in our ravenous state, bruh that's an understatement (we tried the mango habanero, fireball, and dirty ranch wings btw). For a pound of boneless wings it was $18.95 or $10.95 for a 1/2 pound. In this economy?? Anyway they were tougher than a tank and each bite felt like swallowing a whole tortilla chip. We also had to wait a HOT minute for the check. My advice: RUN. But the other reviews are good so maybe give it a go and see for yourself ‍.

Best. Wings. Ever. I have literally never tasted a chicken wing this good in my 25 years of life! The sauce is AMAZING & wings are extra crispy. Ranch was 12/10. My hubby & I split 20 wings: 10 honey hot (my fave) 10 buffalo. Will come ever time we're in pacific beach. Service was phenomenal. We actually got our wings before drinks literally under 10 minutes and it was packed. Good beer selection as well. GO HERE!!!! You will not regret it!

This place is super cute, a little small. Make sure to come on a week day or at an early time on the weekend. The place is so small that it can fill up fast. It looks like the bar serves some good cocktails not just beer. The chicken was really good. I got the pound of chicken for about $20 and it came with so much chicken. I got to choose between two different sauces. The waitress was SO nice but definitely took a long time to get our chicken, that is why i'm rating this place 4/5 stars. Will definitely come here again. Quick meal to have before going out in the town. Bars are just down the street!
