Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Creative Cocktails at These Tampa Bay Hotspots | Eater

"One of the more overlooked aspects of Cuban culture is the laundromat-cafeteria, places where people gather for croquetas and cafecitos while cleaning the week’s clothes. Dirty Laundry, on its surface, seems like just such a spot, until you realize the laundry machines don’t really work, and there’s an odd pay phone sitting under a sign that says “Talk dirty to me.” It’s the portal to Dirty Laundry’s other ode to Cuban culture: a Havana-style nightclub and cabaret hidden behind laundry machine number 2. Tuck inside and find salsa music pouring out from the stage and tropical cocktails floating by. Fittingly, the best drink in this Old Havana-themed space is Paradise Lost, made with Zacapa No. 23 rum, orgeat, peychaud bitters, lime, and pineapple." - Vox Creative

The Best Spots for Rum Cocktails in Tampa | Eater

"By day, Dirty Laundry is a mock-up of the classic Cuban laundromat, serving Latin tapas and sandwiches alongside an extensive menu of Cuban coffees. Then, in the early evening, a washing machine turns onto a perpetual spin cycle — signifying something is afoot nearby. Pick up the pay phone and you’ll get a code granting you access to the hidden speakeasy behind the machines. Inside, you’re transported to old-time Havana, where music and dancing pair perfectly with the Nacional de Cuba, made with Zacapa Rum, pineapple juice, lemon juice, orgeat syrup, simple syrup, and tiki bitters." - Matthew Meltzer

Amazing experience! The place is a little adventure nook tucked away in downtown St.Pete. great drinks and live music. They serve a delicious cuban sandwich. Perfect for a girl's/guys night out. Date night!

Went on a Weds night around 11pm and it was nice! Walked in to Dirty Laundry and it looked fairly empty. The bartender asked if we were here for Coffee or cocktails, Cocktails of course! She asked if we had been here before & we told her no. She told us to pick up the Payphone that was located on the wall & we would have to enter the code provided to us to open the secret door. That was super cool. We did that and the door opened up to the hidden side where there was music, couches & tables for seating, a full bar & lovely decor. The walls were decorated beautifully with paintings & lovely lit neon signs all around. The bathroom was even nice. It was a super cool spot. It was a nice crowd on that side which I was shocked to see for a Weds night. The drinks were so good! We had wine, a passion fruit mojito & a lemon drop. The bartenders were super friendly. I would recommend for sure for a date night, girls night, solo night or gathering with friends. It was a whole vibe.

Collin is the reason for the 5 stars!! He made some really great drinks. The kitchen was closed which was unfortunate. However Collin went above and beyond to make sure our drink experience was everything. I will definitely be back to try the food.

The entry to the lounge is super cool! They make it east to access. It's fun and interactive too! The decor set the tone for a great vibe. The menu matched it perfectly. Very impressive mojito selection. The breakfast sandwich and Yucca fries hit the spot. They also have the best selection of local beers I've seen at a bar/lounge of its type. The whole experience is a lot of fun. Be sure to take your out of town friends when they visit!

Google
We stopped in because I saw it was a speakeasy concept. Also loved the dress code idea. Was with my wife. You walk into a laundry mat looking place. Pick the phone and type the code in to open a hidden door for the club. Smaller intimate setting with not a ton of seating. Nice bar and bartender was nice and made a good Dirty Martini. Beer is cold. A little pricey, though I must say for what it was.

This place could be so much better if they maintained it. We went last night and roaches in the bathrooms, missing toilet seats, drinks were okay, the bartenders were really friendly and why we stayed a little longer, the music finally got better. Fix the bathrooms please and thank you :)

Google
If you are looking for a very unique experience. Dirty laundry is the spot for you. This place allows you to step back in time. When things weren't always as it seems. Just pick up the pay phone and come on in.... Dress code enforced.

Yelp
A super fun speakeasy right off Central. Pick up the pay phone, listen for the code, and you are transported from a laundromat to a Latin inspired bar! The day we went, mid afternoon, it was DARK in there, like we couldn't even read the menus. The bartenders all seemed a bit off, like they were all in a mood and in each other's way. Regardless, our drinks were fantastic and the vibes were 10 out of 10.

Yelp
Great location and atmosphere. Thursday of latin night was great. The Mojitos were ok, not the best. The bartenders were very attentive and nice. La localización está excelente y buen ambiente. La entraga esta super cool. Los moritos buenos, pero no son de lo mejor mejor. Jueves es de música latina y es una nota... Buena diversidad cultural y los bartenders muy atentos.

Yelp
This is such a cool speakeasy. Definitely loved taking pictures here! The bartender was SO sweet and down to earth and really professional when I heard her telling someone they could no longer continue being served as she didn't feel comfortable. I think it's important when bartenders take their jobs seriously like this. I really enjoyed my White Sangria! It was not really that busy, so we didn't stay long, but I'd try it again next time I'm in the area.

Yelp
This was our first night in St. Pete so we wanted to celebrate with cocktails. Then our friends told us about a speakeasy in a laundromat, I was like "yes, let's go!" A gal at the counter greeted us and asked if we were there for coffee or cocktails. We expressed interest in cocktails and she directed us to a pay phone. The recording on the phone provided instructions to enter the speakeasy through a washing machine...or maybe it was a dryer. I forget. After walking through the washer/dryer, we entered a dark and artsy bar area complete with DJ booth, dance floor with disco ball, and lounge areas. I ordered a Mango Guava Mojito. Full transparency, I couldn't taste the guava. I even suspect that it may not have been in there. However, I forgive the lack of guava because the mango flavor came in full force and I was doing my happy dance...partially because of the nice buzz from the mojito but also because this tasted so good! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/dirty-laundry-st-petersburg?select=YXW-z_9r40DOMoiC0ujuiA Hubby ordered the Made in Havana. Our friends had the Cayo Coco and a Strawberry Agua Fresca. Everyone seemed to enjoy their drinks. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/dirty-laundry-st-petersburg?select=gI-Z9b24xUiNYabufict0w We took our drinks to the back patio which was lively in color (mostly pink) with a beachy theme and cool vibe. We enjoyed the music that was playing. As we were leaving, we realized that the music we were listening to was a live musician/singer that had been performing inside! She was really talented. Such a fun place for a fun night with fun friends :)

Yelp
This was such a fun and unique speakeasy. It is set up like a laundromat and once you speak the secret work you're led through the wall into the back room that is an inside outside experience. The food is light bites so don't come hungry. The drinks are delicious. The ambiance is an intimate blue lighting and once down the hallway you're in an open air seating area. I enjoy cool days so for me that is perfect for these fall/winter nights. They have warming lamps for those who can't handle cold. It's an amazing experience for a first date. The staff is friendly. It's pretty busy once inside so they aren't super attentive but again, it's busy. There's multiple types of seating both inside outside. Built to accommodate various group and date sizes.

Yelp
I went here for Christmas drinks to catch up with high school friends. It was a bit of a drive from Tampa. Loved the Christmas drinks and the outside area.

Yelp
Dirty Laundry is a really great, really fun spot. Service gets a bit backed up, because it stays busy, but they move as quickly as they can. I enjoy the cocktails that I've had here, as well as their collection of seltzers. Definitely recommend a stop here on a fun night out!

Yelp
Fun, but packed speakeasy hidden behind a mock laundromat near all the action in downtown st pete. I visited on a thursday night and it was super busy. No hats allowed!! Some guys in our party learned the hard way that they couldn't wear their hats inside. It took some time to order our drinks at the bar and there wasn't much available seating. The presentation of the drinks was very nice! But the overall it's more of a bar vibe with a hidden speakeasy concept. We went outside to get some space, but soon after finding a table were told they were all reserved. Would consider coming back for a quick drink and then moving on to a different spot where it's easier to talk and get a drink

Yelp
FUN!! What a cool concept for a speakeasy! The initial entrance looks like a 1950's diner/laundry-mat. You use the payphone to get a code for the secret door (which is a washing machine!) to get to the speakeasy. I wish I took more pics but I was originally confused as to what was going on in this place... Once in the speakeasy, the space has a latin/spanish feel. I ordered the "made in havana" martini (espresso martini) and it was delicious but surprisingly small (and expensive). Regardless I would still recommend checking this place out for the vibes as I've never been anywhere like this! :)

Yelp
Over all vibe was good the bartenders were nice but got kicked out due to a comedy club we had to pay for in order to stay but over all great place

Yelp
staff was cool! the vibes were immaculate. loved the music choice! the drinks could use a little improvement coming from an old bartender. cool spot to hang at though definitely be back.

Yelp
Intro: I have been on a speakeasy fix lately. So you already know that when I visited St. Pete, one of the first things I did was to do some research on Yelp to see what speakeasies were in the area. Dirty Laundry was a two-minute walk from my hotel so we made our way on a Friday night. Ambiance (5/5): This is where speakeasies shine. Especially this one. You walk into what looks like a hip laundromat. That is after the bouncer checks your ID (this takes away from the allure a little bit but all good). From there, you pick up a pay phone. There's an automated message on the pay phone listing a code. You enter the code on the phone which leads to one of the washers opening to reveal a hidden door. That is your entrance to the speakeasy. Dirty Laundry is a speakeasy with some Latin flair. There was a DJ doing his thing when we arrived. I absolutely loved the music he was playing. There is some seating at the bar and some comfortable sofas throughout too. And they have a patio. It's quite large for a speakeasy and louder than your typical speakeasy but I was okay with that since they do everything at a high level. The decor is fresh and hip. The sort of ambiance that appeals to what I like to call "the Instagrammers." Drinks (5/5): Another area where speakeasies shine, this one included. They had a creative list of craft cocktails. I tried two of them and they were both delicious. One was lit on fire. More expensive than your typical cocktail but you pay a little more for the craftsmanship. I didn't notice if they had food, we were just there for drinks. Overall: This was my favorite speakeasy in St. Pete and actually my favorite bar overall (I visited quite a few). If you're looking for a hype place to hang out, with the added bonus of the cool things that speakeasies provide, Dirty Laundry is an A+ choice.

Yelp
This place is so much fun! I love cocktail bars with themes, and this one is very well done, looking like a laundromat with a phone to pick up and dial the code to enter the hidden back room. And, unlike most bars and clubs, the drinks here are actually delicious and creative! I love their seasonal cocktails, especially the frozen ones. It can get pretty crowded (and hot!) on weekend nights, but plan for earlier in the day if you want to avoid that!
google avatar

Keena H.

Yelp
I love the service and the cocktails are cute. It's always a nice break from the hussle & bussle in Tampa to come to a calmer Central Ave. Maybe that's why they call this a "SPEAKEASY"! The setting is cafe inspired with a surprise door to the total opposite. Shhhh! Go check them out. I have more photos & clips but then I'd be giving away the ______.

Yelp
This is certainly a night time place! We chose to check this place out for their brunch time burlesque show which, we clearly went on the wrong day(it is not every Sunday like it used to be)! Showing up it was very empty and only one bartender on staff at the time. It was nice not having to wait for a drink, however it did feel out of place to find a table and keep walking up to the bar to order drinks. We did decide to eat the food outdoors which was short lived in the Florida sun. The space itself is honestly really fantastic, I can certainly see how it would be the place to go for night life! The food was tasty and the drinks were deviously good! I could certainly see coming back here at night! From all the murmurs I have heard I think I came here on an odd time/day for them, be sure you go on the right Sunday if you're looking to see the burlesque!

Jaimee M.

Yelp
I've heard a lot about this place and glad I finally got around to checking it out. I came fairly early in the evening so it wanted crowded at all. The passionfruit mojito was amazing and so were the yuca fries. The girl performing "Kayla Evender" I hope I got her name correct was amazing. She had a beautiful voice and sang some great R&B songs while we were there. The ambiance was really cool and had a wide variety of people here. I will definitely come back and recommend to others.

Yelp
Heading into the speakeasy was fun. They had a lot of options and I got some drink with a burning cinnamon stick that was pretty good. The place is dark and relaxing. The bartender had a great attitude and was helpful with giving me advice about where to explore St. Petersberg. There was some outdoor seating and the other half of the building served food.
google avatar

Hannah V.

Yelp
A total vibe here right when you step inside! If your first time here the person at the counter will tell you what to do but you can always just follow the lead of the regulars who come in next. When you walk in there is a DJ right there with room to start dancing. A very efficient bar area taking and making orders quickly. There is a back area with another bar but did not really explore it - I saved that for the next time ;).
google avatar

Rachel G.

Yelp
Choice of throwback music from DJ TONE last night brought back so many memories! Free street parking down the street and it was easy to get in after showing our ID. The bouncer will tell you what to do next. Walked in and the music was bopping! We went straight to the bar and ordered a Moscow Mule and a beer. We sat outside for a bit with their super comfy patio, then once we heard the beat getting heavier -- we went inside and danced the night away. The bar tenders were quick and were into the groove of the music. The restrooms could use more work. The woman's stall had urine all over the floor, no tissues. Definitely needs an air freshener.

Yelp
This is another cute fun little Super Top Secret St. Pete Central Avenue hangout spot. Laundrymat and café but is there more to it???? Search and find out.. Cool cozy dark bar and nice outdoor patio area. The indoor space is small and the band that was playing when I was there was overpowering and wayyyyy too loud. But hopefully they ll find entertainment that's a better fit and more fun. I'm still giving them Five stars because it's a quirky spot to check out and add to your repertoire.

Chanel S.

Yelp
I went here to see the hype and I was so excited to see it. Our drinks were great, we went on a Sunday so no live music!! I love the atmosphere and all the fun touches!!
google avatar

Yelp
The Winter Daisy cocktail is officially one of my fav cocktails I've ever had. Milagro reposado, amaro, cinnamon agave, fresh lemon, and flamed citrus swath. Fun presentation with the flame, and so delicious! The cinnamon and the lemon...so good. It was a Saturday night - the singer inside was phenomenal, and the outdoor patio was spacious and refreshing!
google avatar

Michael D.

Yelp
Very cool speak easy. Great drinks, patio area and music. You use the "pay phone" in the laundromat to get access. Once inside you have plenty of space to grab a drink at the bar, lounge or out on the patio. Fun place to check out!

Yelp
Went to celebrate one of my friend's birthday and the place is definitely not your regular/normal looking bar. Entrance to the dance floor or the club itself is very cool, different. The vibe was okay, music was a mixed of too many genres and not entirely sure they go together or made too much sense but me and my group tried to make the best out of it. I have a huge complaint and it was the service, right between okay and not great while the bouncer was nice, the bartenders were full throttle rude, the girl had an attitude like she didn't care, we were being specific about which beer we wanted and she went to grab them and came with something different, we asked her again if the one we wanted wasn't available she lift her shoulders saying "no" while opening the beer and handing it to us... We didn't make a big thing out of it, still had it and paid for it but that was unnecessary. The place was somehow packed so me and 4 more friends were in a little corner towards the end of the bar (we were not blocking at all the flow on entering and exiting the bar for the staff) while every single other staff member would just walk around us, the bartender would literally YELL at us to move out of his way not once, not twice, about 5 times if not more, we were not blocking his way, we were just standing in a place to literally stand because it is a club, were do you want us to be at if it isn't standing all together in a group? Non sense, being so rude that we literally felt better just leaving the club, while you can have a great place and ambiance it just doesn't work when the staff is rude and entitled, we treat people respectfully because me and my friends have worked in the service industry and know how much it requires to perform it but last night... Unnecessary.
google avatar

Romeo D.

Yelp
It is one of my favorite spots because is the feel, the people and the love music. During the day it's a fairly regular shop serving empanadas and sandwiches. At night the "laundromat" opens (after putting in the proper code) and reveals another bar and dance area. I love the concept and decor, as mentioned the live music until approx 9:30 PM is great and the a DJ takes over. Good place to dance as well. My experience with the service has always been positive. Parking can be a challenge but nothing too hard to find.
google avatar

Diana P.

Yelp
This place was poppin on a Saturday night. No entrance cover but there was a dress code. My favorite thing was that it looks like a laundromat in the front and then one of the machines opens up to this really cool club. The music was great. The DJ did amazing remixing Spanish with hip hop, there was a great drink menu & the drinks were not crazy overpriced. I'll definitely be back

Yelp
Collin is the best Bartender I've ever had the pleasure of being served by. He was single handedly manning the entire bar all by himself while being attacked by thirsty patrons on all sides! He was pleasant, charming and efficient. I'll definitely be coming back just to be served by him! He's amazing!
google avatar

Bryan A.

Yelp
A great place to grab a drink and hear some live performances. The concept is very neat, but the amount of space used to create the separate areas really cuts down on the amount of seating. We went here for my wife's birthday and had a great time. It was a little hot though, so we didn't stay too long and decided to bar hop to a few different places. There are a lot of options for delicious mixed drinks and craft beers. Just make share you wear comfortable shoes and something breathable, because you might spend A LOT of time standing.
google avatar

Caitlin M.

Yelp
This is such a cool and unique speakeasy located in downtown St. Pete! If you are ever tired of the same old, boring bars, you need to hit up this place on your next night out! When you walk in, you are transported to a decorated laundromat. You must then enter the "washing machine" to be transported to the second bar and large dance floor. The cocktails are all unique and delicious; the bartenders are quite skilled! It's super fun and guaranteed to be a not-so-typical night out in DTSP!
google avatar

Kristie G.

Yelp
This place was awesome! Super cool speakeasy on central street in st. Pete. The drinks were delicious, I had the winter daisy. Our bartender was super sweet too, left my jacket and she ran out to make sure I didn't forget it. Prices were a tad high, but not a deal breaker.
google avatar

Max N.

Yelp
Should have been a 5 star, though the 12 member bachelorette party that was let in ruined what had been a fantastic experience with my husband. It is far to small and intimate for such a crowd.
google avatar

Janai M.

Yelp
The cafe portion is cute with the laundromat theme. Once inside the actual bar, it has the feel of a typical bar with a clubby vibe until you head towards the patio area, which was very spacious. The music was good and it was a mix of genres catering to everyone. The cocktails were average.
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
My husband and I drove over to St. Pete for a coffee date at Dirty Laundry, and it did not disappoint! The concept is so unique and fun! You walk in to what looks like a laundry mat - legit washers/dryers, the chairs, laundry hanging, etc. - and there is a coffee bar area where you can order coffee and food from a small breakfast/brunch menu. It is a coffee bar by day, and a speak easy style bar at night! How cool?! There are so many photo ops!! We will definitely go back at night to get the bar experience!
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
All of my friends that love a cute vibe, always recommend going to Dirty Laundry. By day, it is a coffee shop with Cuban food. But by 5pm, it turns into a speakeasy that you get to enter through one of the washing machines. Sadly, I was there at 4 and did not have time to wait for the speakeasy to open. The coffee was ok but I would really like to try the bar part when I am around later in the day! If you like taking pictures, this is the place for you!

Almendra M.

Yelp
This place is so overrated! I didn't get the concept, the music was not even good. I guess drinks were ok? Idk but I noticed Instagram made a big deal of it and once you go it's nothing like that. Kids trying to take pictures so they can post and be cool! I will never go back
google avatar

Yelp
This place is an absolute blast and hidden gem in downtown Saint Pete. My friend and I went for the first time, and we loved it from the minute we walked in. It gets very busy on the weekend and almost like a nightclub, but if you need space, you can just go outside on the patio. It's beautifully decorated, and the drinks were outstanding. Max is a bit of a tough cookie to crack but he makes one hell of a drink.
google avatar

Yelp
This is such an adorable little Speakeasy in St. Pete. My friends RAVED about it and said I had to go next time I was in town. When you walk in you have to pick up a pay phone to get a code to get access. The whole process is so cute! Went with two friends and we ordered apps and drinks at the bar. We were able to get seats at the bar because we got there around 6ish. Soon after the place started filling up and the live music started. The menu has a Havana feel with all the Cuban/latin good. We had the both chicken and beef empanadas, ceviche, black bean dip, and rice n beans. Empanadas were good, I preferred the chicken over the beef. Ceviche was good and fresh with lots of shrimp. Bean dip was my fav and the rice n beans were OK but my friend loved it. I also don't really care for beans or rice. Oh and everything came with tostones. Side note: They had Blow playing on one TV and Scarface on another TV playing in a loop. Hadn't seen Scarface in forever so we ended up staying till the end of the movie.

Yelp
Big fan of Saint Pete's second speakeasy. Whereas The Saint has a dark NYC vibe to it, this one has a brighter (still dark though) Miami or Cuba vibe. Entrance is through on the of washing machines in the fake laundromat that fronts the speakeasy. Note that the laundromat portion opens early and has coffee and beer and some light bites, but the speakeasy opens at 5:00, and noon on sundays for brunch. We did not do the whole pick up the pay phone and type in the special code for entry. At brunch, you arrive well before noon (we arrived at 11:10) and put your name on the list. When they open, they just lead you in one party at a time. The inside is very cool, but small. They have bar seating, a few two tops, and some comfy seating areas for larger parties. They also have an outside patio which looked very south beachy, as much as possible since it's a fenced off potion of the parking lot, but there was no shade. Really only good at night or for brunch in cooler weather. Was brought here for a surprise birthday brunch and I'm really happy with the choice. The drink menu is rum heavy-per the Cuba theme-but they have a coupe tequila and whiskey drinks. I got the el duque, which is like a cinnamon sweet old fashioned and was fantastic, and the revolucion de Cuba, one of their rum drinks and also fantastic. For brunch I got their take on a huevos rancheros. It was small-probably human portion size but I was hoping for more-but it was really good. Around 1:00 is when a burlesque show started. Everyone seated outside walks in to watch the show, so it gets a bit crowded, but the show was a lot of fun. Two dancers took turns doing a 5 minute show each. Not really what you'd expect for brunch entertainment, but they were good and as I said, it was fun. I loved it here. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
I ordered from Dirty Laundry on Seamless and was told delivery was in 40 minutes. After 50 minutes (and after everywhere else was closed) they cancelled my order without explanation. Seamless called and hung the restaurant out to dry saying that they had no idea why the order was cancelled but would investigate. Very poor service; will never order from them again.

Yelp
Loved our day time experience at Dirty Laundry. Definitely my favorite stop on a perfect Saturday. When you walk in, you will see a laundry mat on one side and a cafe on the other side. Pick up the phone at the phone booth and listen for a code and type it in. It will tell you which washing machine to go through and u will be transported into a dark lounge Cuban Bar. Keep on walking and you will get to the outside patio. That was our fave spot. We had a perfect spot in the shade and grabbed a table. We took pics next to the fun mojito sign "All You Need Is Love & a Mojito. I ordered a mango guava mojito which was so good and we ordered Pork tostones which were tasty and served with pineapple pico. The vibe here is so tropical and the music is fun and just perfect. At night, there is a dress code, so make sure to check out the pic I took of that. Loved it here and will definitely be back!

Yelp
Saw this place all over social media and had to check it out. It is labeled as a speakeasy but it was very clear from the outside between the line and the music what it was. I thought it was going to be more hidden and disguised. We waited in line for about 15 minutes and then were able to enter into the coffee and drink area and laundry room. Loved the vibe and decor. Felt like a real laundry mat. There was no cover to get in. Once we waited about 20 minutes, which allowed for us to take pictures and hang out in the laundry mat, we were called to go into the washing machine, which led to the speakeasy. The DJ was amazing all night! Loved the music and the mixes. Ordered a drink from a Pinterest recipe that the bartender was able to make! So good! Had a great time!

Yelp
Solid speakeasy. The fun laundromat facade, and exciting, electric atmosphere inside is the stuff of legend. Very responsive bar service and the cocktails are stupid good. The Cubana Mami is one of my favorites! Kistchy: 5/5 Price: 3/5 - it is pricey Staff: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5

Yelp
I absolutely love this speakeasy. It's so adorable. The cocktails are sophisticated. The bartenders seem to put a lot of effort in to each drink and the presentation is always perfection. They have a nice back patio too. I'm telling all my friends about it.

Yelp
I always love a new concept and dirty laundry comes through with shining colors. Ambiance - it's like walking into a laundromat, but upon further exploration you'll find a nice outdoor dining area and a hidden room , which looks beautiful. Service - it's great the people here always seem friendly, I actually spoke to The chef she was awesome. Food- I haven't had too much but I can vouch for the empanadas , the guava cheese and beef are excellent .

Yelp
What a cute place with bad service. It's so cute and kitschy! The doorman was super cool as was the crowd control guy. But the bartender messed it up for everyone. Clearly a douche canoe with sunglasses on at night. But not serving me and serving everyone around me including my friends is where I draw the line. He ignored me several times and as my friend stepped up and placed her order she asked if he intended to take mine and he instantly became upset when asked why he was ignoring my order. He chose to make me what he wanted and when i corrected him he threw the drink. I can't patronize a place with that kind of service. I won't be back.

Yelp
Met one of my girlfriends here on a Sunday morning. We sat on the entrance side at the bar area and had breakfast sandwiches and coffee/tea. I ordered the egg and cheese on the Cuban bread and wow was it delicious! Honestly I think this is probably the best breakfast sandwich I've ever tasted that I didn't make. It came out piping hot, the bread was soft, buttery and the egg was cooked just right--not too soft, not too hard. It literally was so good I forgot to take a picture, whoops! After finishing our hot beverages we made our way over to the other side which opens at 11:30am. You have to pick up the phone and listen to the instructions for a code to enter to open up the laundry door. What a clever concept! Next door was a completely different vibe. The lighting was lower creating a chill ambiance with some decent music playing in the background. Again, we sat at the bar but there is regular seating available as well. I decided to go with the watermelon mojito. Though I'm not a rum drinker, I was pleasantly surprised with this cocktail. Definitely the right combination of alcohol and fresh ingredients. The service on both sides was great. We were immediately greeted and provided menus. Service prompt and courteous! No reason not to give this cool new St. Pete bar concept five stars!

Yelp
Such a cool vibe! Seems like a small space when you walk in - but once you access the speakeasy it opens up to a separate room with an outdoor space. They had a nice cocktail list and amazing food - my favorite was the yucca fries! We were a large group, which may have been overwhelming, but we felt that staff was not overly friendly - I would try again with a smaller group - worth going back just for the yummy yucca!

Yelp
Hottest new bar in grand central district Love the speakeasy theme. This cuban latinx themed bar is cleverly disguised as a Laundromat. During the day they serve coffee and cuban sandwiches and empanadas. At night it comes alive. Great music both inside and outside. Live bands playing as you enter the venue behind hidden door that looks like a Washing machine. You can pick up the payphone and enter your code or the attendant can let you in. Ask for the bartender, Will. He makes the best drinks. He recommended the revolution de Cuba. It's my favorite drink you can get it the way it comes with rum or substitute whiskey. It's like an old fashioned with some chocolate flavors. It's served smoked. My friend got the empanadas and really liked them. Definitely will go back again.
