"The cocktails at Dirty Precious are a big draw for neighborhood dwellers and non; and the cozy, dimly lit environment is what keeps pairs filing in regularly. There’s real effort put into non-alcoholic drinks for those who want to skip the booze, as well as easy-to-share snacks like Marcona almonds and a pickles plate." - Patty Diez

The barman was both friendly and knowledgeable about liquors. I learned new types and brands! Discovered mushroom liquors and cocktails and they were yummy! He also used a glass that I prefer for my drink. I love that the place is spacious and well lit (reminds me of Belle and Dragon from back home). The music was nice and at a good volume. Will definitely go back

Okay, this is one of my new favorite bars. The jazz hands drink is insanely good and I come back just for it. It smells good. Tastes good. *chefs kiss* I also had some small plates like the vegge board, antipasto, and vegan chili. All were decent and I’d order them again. Big space and great ambiance!

Google
A great local bar. Little more rustic than I imagined but very cozy and the drinks were really unique. If I lived nearby I’d come here for after work drinks.

Google
I was able to reserve the back room at no cost for my birthday party, and it was fantastic! All my guests loved the cocktails - high quality and complex at reasonable prices! It was super easy to communicate with the owner and she was so kind and accommodating. Thank you!!!

Google
This is one of my favorite cocktail bars in brooklyn. This under appreciated gem is a little hard to spot but is quietly throwing out some solid food and fantastic drinks. The staff is knowledgeable and comes up with crazy “one night stand drinks” that just work. Give them some flavors and you’ll get a great drink For food you cannot go wrong with a toastie, Mac and cheese, salads, and the antipasto platter. You cannot go wrong here.

Google
Phenomenal! The cocktails are super inventive, the staff were fun and really passionate about mixology, the music was great, and the interior is classy and tasteful. I couldn’t recommend Dirty Precious more!

Google
I ordered the Jazz Hands and it was cool but the service was very off putting. The bartender had an attitude and was adamant on carding me and leaving a card for the tab even though I watched her do the exact opposite for several other customers who were white. And I also found a strand of her hair in my drink as you can see from the second photo. As a black person, I definitely did not feel welcome here. Do with that information what you will.

Google
Some of the drinks are solid, but most are only okay. That said, they are well priced (at least comparatively). Friends and I, however, have had repeated issues with the bartender double charging us, and making the wrong drink and then telling us that we ordered incorrectly (twice I was given wine instead of my cocktail) and trying to charge us for the incorrect order. The "toasties" are welcome and, though small, more or less reasonably priced.

Yelp
I've only been in a few times so far but wanted to review--I really like it there! I've had the Nom de Plum and the Runaway Suze--both really good, especially liked the Runaway Suze. The Mac & Cheese was tasty and made for a good dinner the night that I had it. And Chey is really cool and a great bartender. Their menu is varied enough that I know I need to try even more things--in addition to the cocktails I'd also try their mocktails if I came on a night when I just wanted to get food and not necessarily drink much. I'd also like to try their happy hour specials, I know they have some house wines and other things. All in all this seems a really cool place that had been recommended to me by people in Park Slope. They're really not all that far from Park Slope especially if it's a nice night to walk from the train stations on 4th Ave. I will be back!

Yelp
Dirty precious is a beautiful cozy bar. The drinks were strong and a great price. The service was a bit slow for a weekday.

Yelp
Came here for a small bite and a few drinks with my close friend. Staff was really nice and the place had great music. I had the siren song which was a bit watered down, didn't taste like much. Tried another drink called the haselnuss & co. - that one was so good. Had a nice hazelnut taste that wasn't overpowering and was a pretty well balanced drink. Def would come back for a drink or two.

Yelp
Celebrated my bday here this past weekend and had such a great time. The drinks are tasty, the space is beautiful, and the staff and owner are all super lovely!

Yelp
Bartender was rude and complained about the amount of tip she got. If she has an issue, pull me aside and let me know but instead gave a passive aggressive comment in front of my friend

Agnes M.

Yelp
Extremely rude staff. The space is nice and drinks are drinks but the staff is unwelcoming to a crazy extent. They give you weird looks, take your half full glasses from your table, then get upset when you tell them and we almost got knocked out by the waiter a few time cause we were on the way and he had anger management issues. I forgot to say place is quite dirty.

Yelp
Very cute place. Right on 3rd but nice and tranquil inside. Love the decor- sun window on the roof. Lighting. It was perfect on a rainy day. Not sure if it's always an all women team but I loved that. One of the last places where you can still get a cocktail for a reasonable price. Drinks rocked. Not much of a happy hour menu though.

Yelp
Came here for a friend's bday party and it was a nice chill spot. They gave him the whole back part of the bar and it felt private. He probably had around 20-30 people here (trickling in and out throughout the night). There were tables and chairs, and couch seating. It felt like a lounge! Although there were times we were blocking some patrons from going to the restrooms since this area shared the same hall to go towards the restrooms. The vibe was immaculate and the service was on point. Tables were cleared and drinks seemed reasonably priced. Would recommend having a large group gathering here!

Yelp
Came here on a weekday night and I liked how spacious it was. The lanterns were cool and pretty vibey. I think this would be a good date spot if you're in the area. I got the Breakfast in Bed cocktail ($13) which has gin, apricot, bubbles, citrus and mint. It tasted pretty citrusy and sweet. I also had Mr Appleseed ($13) which has rye whiskey, apple jack, apple ginger, and walnut. It tasted like an alcoholic apple cider with hints of cinnamon. Overall good chill vibes, would come here again but nothing that wowed me.

Yelp
Knowledgeable staff, good vibe - some cheap good snacky stuff and amazing cocktails with people who know their sh*t

Yelp
Stopped in late recently after getting to my hotel a block away. What a gem!!!! Chill vibe, very lovely but moody decor and lighting and a beautiful big bar. Bartender-owner mixed a great drink -- I had the Unchained Melody -- but the Pisco Sour seemed to be the cocktail of choice for a group sitting in the lounge area. I was in town to help my daughter move, but if I were closer, I'd likely be a regular. Great vibe, delicious drinks and nice crowd. Looks unassuming from the outside but venture in... you are in for a treat!

Yelp
Visited Dirty Precious for cocktails on Friday evening. A stylish bar with a fun drink list, but also a place that encourages you to take a risk and let them create something just for you. Quality: After a long week, deciding to stop into Dirty Precious for some cocktails. Made our way through a portion of the drink list by trying Oh Honey, Golden Hour, One Night Stand, Thyme Warp, and Voodoo You Boo. The highlights for me were Oh Honey, with pisco, honeysuckle, white pepper, lemon, and egg white, as well as my One Night Stand, which was a spicy tequila drink using blood orange for some citrus. The only skip for me would be the Voodoo You Boo, which mixed cold brew, ancho liqueurs, cacao, espresso, and seltzer. I just felt like it was not very flavorful for a drink with so much going on. As we drank we also shared the Antipasto Board. It is much more than a snack, with cheese, meats, bread, pickled vegetables, and a Spanish tortilla. It is a solid platter, and they really nailed the bread, which made each other element better. Quantity: Felt the cocktails were a fair size, while the Antipasto Board was quite filling. Value: $12-$13 for Cocktails. $20 for the Antipasto Board. Ambiance: Dirty Precious is located in Gowanus, and even though I walk by all the time with my dog, I only recently learned of its existence. They had a few small tables outside, but the majority of the seating is inside the long and narrow space. Tables are lined on each side and soft lanterns hang from the high ceiling. The ceiling also has a few skylights, which let in some natural light before the sun went down. A stylish bar stretches along the left wall towards the back, and a few high-tops sit parallel. The music had an indie pop vibe, which seemed well suited to the bar. Crowd: A nice crowd on Friday evening. Not packed, but about half the tables were occupied and it was a lively atmosphere. Service: Extremely friendly staff. Also, I thought the bartender did a commendable job with my One Night Stand order, which is never an easy feat. Parking: Plenty of nearby street parking can be found.

Yelp
My cousin introduced me to Dirty Precious recently and I fell in love. I wish it was a bit closer to me, but I'll still go even if it's out of the way. The atmosphere was cozy and fun when I walked in. The bar was dimly lit and everyone looked like they were enjoying their time. The bartenders are professionals and clearly know their way around making creative drinks. Their drinks were strong and hit the spot after dinner. There was also an area in the back you could close for a private party. The bar was spacious with seating lining the wall and bar area. I cannot wait to go back soon to try other specialty drinks! Dirty Precious will definitely be one of my go-to's in the area.

Yelp
To loosely quote the calm words of my hero, Agent Dale Cooper... Damn Fine Cocktails. Damn fine cocktails in a spacious, candle-lit, dare I say WOODY hall. I want to live and drink and dance here. I started with the Snowbird, a pisco sour with egg white foam. The number of surprising and somehow refreshing winter flavors in succession sent my mouth feeling like it was bouncing out of my face. The dried rose petals on top were a plus, I love rose petals in drinks, and when eaten, offered a slightly sour crunch. The egg white foam layer was dense and flavorful as opposed to flimsy, for show, and volume-occupying. Beau started with The Golden Hour - a pleasant take on a margarita with turmeric cause who doesn't want to decrease their inflammation as they increase it with alcohol. Very tasty. Also a flavor journey. All of these cocktails have so many notes. Second round I got the Bitter Bandwagon since espresso martinis are all the rage these days. I was worried it would be heavy on nothing but coffee but with the added amaro and spice there was a pleasant hint of candied citrus. The texture was creamy and the depth of flavor reminded me of the ridiculous stouts and brandywines at evil twin. With the coupe cocktails, I can't confirm that the glasses are bigger than usual but they seem pretty girthy for coupes. If you're someone who avoids these because more liquid is more bang for your buck (and let's be honest, some places serve tiiiiny watery cocktails) don't do that here. Other half of second round was the "See Way" which literally has the warning "look out." on the menu. This was the star of the show. I love mezcal and this made me love it even more. Looks like water, tastes like a Dalí painting. We were toasty soon after the first round so we ordered the antipasto charcoochie board which was relatively HUGE and laden with two cured meats, three different cheeses including drunken goat (my favorite) and a nice sharp cheddar, toast points, pickled artichokes, and a Spanish tortilla which is like a bready, potato-y quiche. No idea that existed, happy I know now. After the second round we were right toasted, so we had to order the meatballs and the galette. The meatballs were as expected, delicious meatballs no surprises, and the galette was more of a vegetable pastry than a vegetable pie kind of galette. Very excited for my next night out here. Will be ordering the See Way after trying a new cocktail and will definitely be ordering the antipasto board of dreams. Also... apparently there's jazz here sometimes...

Yelp
Possibly my new favorite cocktail bar, and has my boyfriend's emphatic seal of approval as well. To say this place is a hidden gem is an understatement. Behind a mysterious door without many markings is an unexpectedly large, gutted warehouse with ample seating, friendly bartenders, and some of the best (and relatively inexpensive) cocktails I've ever had. The drink menu isn't massive, but they offer the option to have your bartender make something for you off-menu - of course, I guess every bar offers this, but I always feel bad asking unless they distinctly have it on the menu. The cocktails are incredible - I love the Tropical Storm Dave ($11) with overproof rum, ginger and yuzu. My boyfriend opted for the Sneakeasy ($12) with scotch, amaro, and vermouths. There are all sorts of bitters and liquors behind the bar so I'm curious what other gems the bartenders can whip up. Service is friendly and timely without hovering. Everything, from the glasses to the coasters to the cute little garnish picks, are curated. They have one cocktail called Ti for Two that is a double batch served in a teapot. All in all, awesome spot. Will absolutely return.

Yelp
Very cool and hip decor with skylights and cozy seats. The bar was filled with an amazing selection of all kinds of liquor you don't normally find at the store. ANDREW the bartender was terrific. Very knowledgeable about the cocktails and the local Brooklyn scene! I had The Immigrant Song and it was fantastic. I don't like fruity or sweet cocktails and this was perfect- Australian whiskey with bitters, etc. Dirty Precious- love the name and love the bar! Cheers!

Yelp
Had an amazing time here on Friday. Not super crowded, very intimate feeling and the drinks are on point. We had the boozy punch that came out in a tea pot with two tea cups that was $20. Wish they had other drinks like that cus it honestly just fun getting it and having it on the table. I also ordered one of the drinks that the bartender makes on the spot, I was asked a few questions like alcohol I like, flavors I don't etc and the drink came out amazing. I really should have asked what it was.

Yelp
Big space in Gowanus that's definitely worth the trip if you're in the area. The music was fire (fit my taste perfectly). Pretty extensive cocktail list to keep you busy for a few creative, unique drinks. Plenty of seating plus a cozy couch area in the back.

Yelp
Wandering through the fresh powder and throwing snowballs at each other, our group made it down 3rd Ave past the new restaurants and auto body shops. Entering DP, we grabbed the first table on the left. I laughed quietly to myself as I saw my Brooklyn coworkers and awkward Tinder date moments around the bar. We had a quick debate about the uses of the Dirty Precious space. The second seating area behind the bar really gives the venue a dining space and the dark alleyway for the bathrooms could be used for more private moments. After a very salty dinner, the water the waitress greeted us with was very well received. So well received that we probably had five to six bottles during the duration of the night. I had a Manhattan sour and others let the bartender decide their drinks within certain guidelines. There are several cheap beers on the menu for the uncocktailed. There was also a special on the chalkboard donating a dollar of the proceeds to charity. Drink and be kinder.

Yelp
This bar had me at its name--vaguely reminiscent of an Audrey Tautou film, but not in fact its origin--and several friends' recommendations, but I never made it there to experience the physical space. Way back when bars could serve to-go drinks from pick-up windows, I was served by very friendly employees wearing PPE and abiding by all COVID-19 protocols. I tried a delightful, generously poured 'walkaway' cocktail called The Cliffs of Dover (a "Spa-groni" made with gin, vermouth, aloe, turmeric, and gentian). Equal parts Victorian poetry, traditional medicinals, and Gowanus spirit.

Yelp
Walked into this place completely by accident and had the best time! Our bartender, who we later found out was the owner, was amazing and even entertained our little tequila tasting journey by talking us through each one we tried. The drinks were great, the food was good, and the service was on-point; we will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Great place to have an event like a birthday or engagement party. The back room is nicely decorated and good space to mingle. We recently hosted a sort of welcome food and drinks night here before our wedding the next day. Food and drinks were delicious, music was on point, and the service was great. Also, Katipai made the whole planning process very easy and even warned me when she thought I may be ordering too much food. I took her advice and glad I did because we ended up having more than enough. Love this place!

Yelp
First came here a couple years ago for a birthday event in the back. Chill, friendly vibes and a gorgeous space. During pandemic, doing temp checks and contact tracing

Yelp
Nice place for a trendy casual cocktail in a dimly lit and cozy spot. Some fun and tasty drink options, at relatively affordable prices when compared to other cocktail bars around, which typically range from $13+, so these folks have them down in the $11 range - which is just great. And they're not too watered down like those other higher priced spots, also another plus. Service is friendly, though they do feel understaffed with way too long of a wait to order on prime days. One thing you MUST avoid: Pickled Things If you want a snack with your drinks, avoid!!! Made the mistake of getting it and pretty sure my teeth have been permanently damaged. There is no way it's even safe for human consumption. It's like brushing your teeth with pure acetic acid. They've gotta do something about it... and I'm absolutely serious, be careful if you're reading this.

Yelp
My favorite place for cocktails around south east brooklyn. For about $12 dollars you can have their cocktail specials or something that fits your tastes. I had a craving for Mezcal and they made me a Mezcal old fashion. The cocktail was well balanced and Mezcal pronounces. Order the Mac and cheese! The fried garlic chips tastes amazing with Mac! I must try to recreate at home. Cheers

Yelp
Come here for the drinks, skip the food. My workplace always picks a place to do Happy Hours, and I've usually been disappointed by the drink selection, usually opting for beer (because, how can you mess up with beer???) but this was the first cocktail bar we were brought to, and I was excited beyond belief, though skeptical. Dirty Precious is tucked away along 3rd avenue, away from the crazyness of 4th/5th, but it really turned out to be an unexpected gem. The drinks were crafted with precision and care, and the specialty cocktails would pique the interest of even the most familiar in the liquor world. Together, my partner and I had the Tropical Storm Dave, Sneakeasy, See Way, Ti for Two and Spring Fever. None of the drinks fell pray to the overly sweet route, and almost all were perfectly balanced. The Tropical Storm Dave was NOT something to be reckoned with lightly - after about three sips, I was feeling the punch, but it was so delicious I couldn't stop sipping. The Ti for Two really lives up to its name, coming in a cute teapot and teacup set, but don't let the aesthetic fool you - it packs a punch. The See Way with its Mezcal added a nice variety to our night, and the Sneakeasy was not for me, but would fit others who like Scotch and Vermouth. Overall, great place, probably my new favourite place to get cocktails in Brooklyn!

Yelp
Being in the heart of Gowanus, it's understood while someone would call you dirty, but once inside you truly see how precious this gem is. Dirty Precious is the cocktail bar 3rd avenue deserves. The inside is stunning. After walking along the industrial streets, you step into a completely different environment once inside. They have these tall ceilings, a beautiful bar area, and a charm that can't be beat. The bartenders know what they are doing. If it's not too crowded, (if it's a weekend it will be) you can strike up a conversation with the bartender. They're all nice. More importantly though, they know how to make a tasty, but stiff drink. And if you don't want such a boozy beverage, they can help you out as well. Just let them know what you like. They have a great backroom for parties. I held my birthday party here last year. It was perfect. After a long beer crawl in Gowanus we concluded here. Lots of space for those who were getting weak can relax and for those just getting started to let loose. They have small bites to eat for anyone getting hungry, but nothing that's a real meal. If you're strolling down 3rd avenue, make sure to swing on by.

Yelp
My friend threw a surprise party here for her husband and the owner kindly let us use the back room for the big SURPRISE moment. The owner and rest of the staff were super nice and attentive which made for a memorable evening (especially since we were a pretty large group). Aside from that, this is overall a cool bar with very relaxed vibes and good drinks. Definitely would also make for a good date spot. I had such a great time and can't wait to come back!
google avatar

Yelp
We had a small engagement party at Dirty Precious on a Sunday afternoon, and everything was excellent. The back room space is sectioned off enough that it feels private if that's what you're looking for, but we also really liked being able to spill into the main bar area. The drinks were excellent, and the food (all small bites/boards) was really solid too. We really appreciated that despite being a group of ~30, everything (including the drinks) was priced at cost, rather than a price per head. Katipai was also super flexible with timing, food, etc. Overall would highly recommend Dirty Precious as a bar or for a casual group event!

Yelp
Dirty Precious is yet another bar in Gowanus that I hadn't checked out because, well, I have plenty of good booze nearby at home. But sometimes you're meeting a stranger and they have interesting cocktails (ranked in order of alcohol content), wine, a few beers on tap, and some food offerings. I got one of the "booziest" cocktails that had "all the gins," called the Cliffs of Dover. Honestly, it didn't have a ton of flavor besides the alcohol. The space is surprisingly huge, with tables in the front, a full bar, a small kitchen, and a room which seems to be for events in the back near the bathrooms. It still manages to feels cozy and the music is in the background, so you can hear your companion. The crowd seems to skew younger and louder come 11pm or so. The bartenders were friendly, if a bit distracted. Definitely worth coming back, particularly for a quiet drink or when meeting several friends, which makes it a versatile venue.

Yelp
Was visiting family so decided to try since seemed like decent reviews. Was disappointed in service and cleanliness. Def will not return.

Yelp
I had a surprise birthday party held here for my boyfriend this past saturday and i cannot be more grateful for how easy they made it for me! I chose this bar at random and i'm so glad I did. The owner was super quick with responding and was very accommodating and the manager who came up and introduced herself was so so sweet. My friends and I will definitely be back! Dirty Precious is a hidden gem worth checking out.

Yelp
One of my favorite bars to date. It was a walk-in, self-service type of bar. No waiters/waitresses that attend to you. Go up to the bar, find a table / bar seating somewhere, and just relax. Really good cocktails, and cool menu set-up. They have the type of glass the drink will be served in illustrated next to the drink on the menu so you know what to expect! My favorite was the Ti for Two, a cocktail drink served in a teapot and two teacups. Very unique. No crowds, easy access to the bar. Great ambiance, decor, and mood lighting. Table seating to enjoy a nice quiet conversation with others. What a refreshing experience from the usual.

Keep it up Dirty Precious

Yelp
Cool bar - cocktails and beer and Wine options plus some snacks and food options. Just about everything is worth a try.

Yelp
Hosted a mid-thirties birthday group here on a Saturday night for about 15 people, the vibe was perfect for us - chill, brimming with delicious cocktails and snacks. The owner was incredibly accommodating and quick to respond to coordinate with on admittedly short notice. Thank you Katipai! Drinks were delicious and service was outstanding. Looking forward to coming back very very soon with a smaller group.

Yelp
I love this bar. It's the kind of place I'm hesitant to review, because this is NYC, and when the word gets out, places become unbearable. But keeping this secret would be selfish. My friends and I discovered DP by accident, when much google and Yelp research led us to plan a birthday party at a different bar nearby. We walked into a category-5 bro-storm of screaming frat boys in baseball hats. Disaster. So we quickly looked for nearby alternatives. I literally ran through the rain to check out Dirty Precious, and ... Nirvana. great feeling, great drinks and eats menus, and a perfect room in back that was shockingly uncrowded. The staff was friendly and everyone had a good time. A few months later, we planned a party here on purpose. DP's party policy is easy and generous, and as predicted, everyone had a great time again. We heartily recommend the antipasto board, and any beer on the menu by Other Half brewery. Everyone who had cocktails seemed happy, but I didn't try them. Please tip your bartenders generously.

Yelp
Fact #1: I don't drink a lot. If all the alcohol in the world disappeared tomorrow, I think I'd be okay (now fried chicken on the other hand, would be an unmitigated catastrophy). Fact #2: the most drunk I have ever been in the last 15 or so years, happened one night at Dirty Precious... and it was a freaking disaster. DISASTER! It was one of those i-don't-know-how-i-made-it-home-and-why-am-i-not-wearing-my-own-clothes kinda nights. All that to say, dem ladies be mixing up some FINE drinks. Unchained Melody? I could knock those back all night long... in fact, that is exactly what happened on the aforementioned night. Great space, great vibe... you really can't go wrong here. What's up with all the horses though? Did I completely miss a reference with the name?

Yelp
It was probably a mistake for me to go to this place for lunch given that it's notable primarily as a cocktail bar. But I was walking by and they had a sign out advertising that they were open and offering lunch specials. I thought I'd try it and went in. There were no other patrons. In the back there was one staff member sitting, looking bored. I said hello and sat at a table. She went back to the kitchen and proceeded to start cleaning and preparing it. This went on for at least ten minutes - I timed it. At no point did she swing by to give me a menu and/or ask if I wanted a drink. After ten minutes I decided to take my business elsewhere. This place may be excellent for drinks, but if that's the case they should stick with what they know and give up on lunch if that's how they plan to run their lunch business.

Yelp
There are some bars that you walk into and immediately think to yourself, "yes, I want to be a regular here." And that was Dirty Precious for me. The space was a former warehouse so high ceilings (and a skylight) and tons of space inside to drink. They have a bunch of tables by the front, these standing room floating tables by the bar, and an entire private back area as well. It was pretty empty when we went on a Saturday afternoon, so we sat at the bar. Our bartender Christy was awesome. She gave us good cocktail recommendations, talked to us about the industry and dispensed valuable life advice (like how moving in with a girl you've been dating for 2 months is a terrible idea...). Their menu is well laid out, separated by the strength of the cocktails. I went with the Betty Davis Eyes, which is a fizz made with pisco, Mandarine Napoleon and lemon. Topped with pretty blue cornflowers. Definitely a grammable cocktail. I actually had two of them because they were so good. My friend had their daily special the Lazy Ninks (I forget exactly what it was but it was whiskey based and he really liked it). Everyone go to Dirty Precious! I definitely want this place to do well. It arrived without much fanfare in a transitioning area on 3rd ave, but this bar is everything Seaborne should have been (and more).

Yelp
This place and a really great vibe and atmosphere in what is quickly becoming the restaurant/bar row of Gowanus. The space feels deceptively big due to the way they divided it into first a seating area and then a long bar in the back (with a secret room way in the back). High ceilings and skylights help make it inviting during the day and there is a nice transition into night as the the skylights are lit up from the outside. One more comment about the atmosphere is that that actually invested in a proper balanced sound system and we're playing great music. The music is perfect volume so you can hear it from anywhere and don't have to shout (even as the bar fills up over time). The menu is several pages long divided into food, beer, wine, and then about 12 cocktails. You have to love a place that describes one of their wines as tasting like cat piss. As you would expect there are a wide range of cocktails divided into categories of booziness (which is very helpful). I had been craving a bourbon/rye drink but seeing only 2 on the list, asked the bartender for guidance. I ended up with the Sea Way: an old fashioned made with mezcal. It was so smooth it almost tasted like it should have been under the lightest booze category rather than the highest, but it had a serious kick that sneaks up on you. It wasn't an amazing drink but pretty good. We also tried the high tides which had vodka and essentially on of the ingredients in red bull. It too was very smooth. Next was the unchained melody which is a whiskey sour twist made with bourbon. This was probably our favorite drink of the night. My friend went for the kindness of strangers which is a Manhattan twist that I thought like tasted like lipstick but he liked. Finally with guidance from the bartender I tried the bends, which is an old fashioned made with rum. At first sip you would swear it has bourbon but then the hints of rum shine through. A really solid drink. We ended up order all 3 "snacks": cheese straws (kind of soggy but cheese in any form is good), Marcona almonds (really tasty), and picked things (includes pickled grapes which are strangely good). The snacks are very small but at $3-4 each guess it is the norm. Overall it was a good experience although I think they are still working out the kinks with the drinks. Definitely not up to par with Leyenda, clover, Jakewalk, but this is their first week and the owners certainly have their cocktail making pedigrees. With its slightly out of the way location and great vibe I suspect this place will turn into a real gem.

Yelp
Came in here wednesday night after i got off work. This place is great. I just moved into the neighborhood and this will definitely be one of my regular hangouts. Ariana was so warm and welcoming, i felt like a long time regular. Even if the cocktails weren't as good as they were ( and they were) I'd be back just for her customer service. P.s if any manager is reading this, please look at the cameras at 118. Ariana walks into a wall and its hysterical

Yelp
Cocktail menu from the website doesn't exist in reality, rose glass is cheap glass. Unfortunately because it's a good space for a bar.

Yelp
My lovely partner's place of employment generously hosts a happy hour (and picks up the tab) several times a year. However, in choosing a venue they have been wildly inconsistent. One event was held at a rooftop bar in Downtown Brooklyn and the next was held in a dive bar that lacked any character or charm and felt like somewhere young professionals would go to relive their college days. So I had no idea what to expect when they were hosting at Dirty Precious. Arriving at the venue, one finds oneself in the odd pseudo industrial area on 3rd Ave below Park Slope. It is a patch that has managed, thus far, to escape full blown gentrification. That fact makes the bar signage stand out in its slightly more upscale and refined state relative to the business it is located near. Because drinks were not on us, we didn't hold back and tried a half dozen cocktails between the two of us including the Ti for Two which is a monster of a drink and honestly more like a full on Ti Parti! I enjoyed the See Way but was unsure how I felt about the Scandelish (very much like drinking a dill pickle cocktail). I also appreciated how the menu was arranged based on the "booziness" of the drink. It is certainly something we have all asked ourselves at some point when ordering. The prices are reasonable for the level of work and quality of ingredients used; this is especially true considering that it is in New York. While I usually stay away from cocktails in the city, I would come back here to try more of the menu for sure.

Yelp
I'm new to the neighborhood but came through recently on a quiet night and it's a great spot! It looks like an unassuming little place from the outside, but as soon as you walk in you will be met with an expansive but welcoming space, great drinks, and friendly staff. I got to talk shop with one of the bartenders about an ingredient I've used in my own cocktails (falernum), and that was a really nice experience. There was a pretty wide range of cocktails from dark and brooding to fresh and fruity, and everything I tried was terrific. Definitely will swing by again.

Yelp
I love a good speakeasy, but sometimes, I just want to be able to enjoy a delicious cocktail at a bar without the flair or wait time, sneakers welcome. Dirty Precious nails all of that and more. Located in an old warehouse in Gowanus, this bar is wildly, almost perplexingly spacious for the city. It works for both an intimate date or a larger group outting, both of which were present while I was there. And for those who are happier with a beer or wine, you've got some options here too. My boyfriend and I ultimately came for the cocktails after putting our names down for dinner down the block. We lucked out at the bar and were able to snag two seats immediately after arriving on a Friday night, though there were a few empty tables in the front, plenty in the back, and tons of standing room if we preferred. The bartender who greeted us was friendly, not stoic as they can be at similar places. The cocktails in their menu are categorized as Easy, Boozy, and Booziest, which I think is the perfect classification that enables quick ordering. I think my boozy cocktail and my boyfriend's booziest cocktail could've used a touch more to satisfy our level of alcoholism, but they were still delicious. Price-wise, cocktails are average for Brooklyn, ranging from $10-$12 vs the $15-$20 you typically find in Manhattan. Overall, Dirty Precious is well worth a visit if you're in this part of town. I definitely plan to bring a group next time.

Yelp
Beautiful space, just not really set up in a way that makes sense. Was there on Saturday night. Because there was only one (!!) person making drinks for people ordering at the bar, the line around the bar was about 4 people deep with folks waiting to order. This is 4 people deep around the entire bar. This mass of people backed into the only pathway for the girl serving drinks to the table orders to pass by. On a crowded weekend night, it just causes a crowded mess, not very pleasant. It's also not a great plan to only have one person serving drinks to those waiting at the bar. After waiting 30 minutes for attention at the bar, my friend simply ordered a bottle of wine for herself because she realized how the night was going to go.

Yelp
A friend and I wanted to grab a few drinks and catch up before attending a concert at The Bell House a few blocks away. Dirty Precious is quite the neighborhood gem, with their creative and delicious cocktails. Food is unexpectedly good, as well, with the meatballs being my favorite. Comfortable atmosphere, and a lot more spacious inside than it seems from the storefront - I'd easily be a regular if I lived closer.

Yelp
New favorite bar. It's hidden on sleepy 3rd Ave and upon walking in, you're immediately transported into a sexy, elegant world. The bar is beautiful. The decor and details are impeccable. The drinks are handcrafted and delicious, priced at a remarkably low price point ($11 for cocktails? Don't mind if I do). I had the pleasure of shmoozing with the bartender (owner?) while I waited for my late friend and she was so kick-ass. Lives in the hood and knows all the spots. She was funny and charming and friendly and, really, what more could you ask for in a bartender? She even fed me a tiny snack when I asked about the menu. I meaaaaaaan. Hidden gem on the menu - can of Modelo with salt, chili, lime and hot sauce? This hot sauce needs to be bottled and sold and I will be first on line, as God as my witness. It's basically the best salsa verde you've ever tasted. Highly reccomended. (Please bottle and sell this?!) Sidenote - this place is fairly big and even has a separate back seating area for larger groups. I can't reccomend this place enough.

Yelp
My Gf and I wandered into Dirty Precious after storming out of a nearby restaurant. We were in need of an after dinner drink and we found a nice spot to have one. The place is nice, the bar is spacious, and there is seating in the back for larger groups. The bar is run by "Antigone" and "Elektra." Do not let that discourage you. Everybody is welcome here. We ordered, the Talking Heads were blaring, and the most fabulous looking woman sat down next to us while we were conversing. The woman, a spectacular Blonde with short cropped hair, plopped down next to us and pulled out a copy of "Helter Skelter." She ordered a glass of Riesling and began reading her book. I couldn't help looking over, and my Gf became agitated immediately. I had a nice nice time, and I hope to return someday.
