He was professional, efficient, and meticulous with every detail. There was a delay to receive the windows from the mainland, however, once they were scheduled for installation from start to finish, the process was smooth and stress-free. Dave took the time to explain our options, gave us fair price, and delivered on everything he promised. The windows look great, and our home already feels cooler and quieter. We had windows and a screen door replaced. John, the design consultant did a good job providing different ideas and guiding me in selecting the replacement. Nemo did an awesome job installing the door. The workmanship was excellent and Nemo was very personable. The only reason I didn’t give the 5 stars is that there was a delay related to shipping and the completion of the project took a few months longer than expected. Overall I am delighted with my new door. It is exactly what I wanted.

Aloha, last Friday 11/7 we had 2 windows replaced at the Waianae Baptist Church in Waianae. Peter who I remember from our initial window replacement as the delivery guy came to do the installment. He told me that he was installing the windows for us as the regular installment guy was sick. He told me not to worry because he was trained to install windows also. Peter did a great job despite doing the instillation alone. He worked until the job was completely done, not even breaking for lunch. After our install, we noticed one of the windows came damage from the factory. DWD sent Kai and Peter out with a replacement at no cost to us, we’re flexible on our schedule, and arrived within the time frame given to us. Kai and Peter were both exceptionally kind and performed the repair quickly. They also took the time to ensure that we were satisfied with the repair as well as the entire install of our windows. Overall we are very happy with the service and pleased with Kai and Peter’s repair.

Kai and Peter came over to replace all of the screen doors in our house with a pet-proof type of screen. They were courteous, thorough and fast. Very knowledgeable; their experience shows! We are completely satisfied and would recommend Discount Windows and Doors to anyone who asks.

Delivery guys Peter and Jerry were extremely polite and considerate in the delivery of our fiberglass door. Took care placing the door in an area that wouldn't cause any potential damage to our home while awaiting the installer. Great workers!

We had all the windows in my home replaced today, and I couldn't be more impressed with the entire experience. From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, the team was professional, punctual, and highly skilled. The installer "Ho'okele's Team" especially to the two gentlemen, "Aaron" and "Jorge" did an excellent job! They paid close attention to every detail and the quality of the work exceeded my expectations. They took great care to protect my floors and furniture during the installation, and the cleanup afterward was spotless. Communication was excellent throughout the project. They answered all my questions, explained the options clearly, and stuck to the promised timeline and budget. The new windows not only look fantastic but have also noticeably improved the insulation and noise reduction in my home. I highly recommend "Discount Windows and Doors" to anyone looking for reliable and professional window installation. It's rare to find contractors who combine craftsmanship, customer service, and integrity so well.

We had Kai and Dorian come this morning for estimates and to fix my moms windows,they both were awsome,def would recommend this business!! They rock, I also worked Monica via email, she was on it!

I originally had some windows installed by Diamond Head Windows but decided ( for other half of house ) to give Discount Windows a try since their proposal came out a little lower than Diamond Head . The sales person I worked with is Dorian . Yes he was very nice and a good sales person ( in the beginning) .. knows his stuff and came by personally to check out my window layout . I put in my order just before New Years . I was notified in April that it might come in .. in May . Did not hear any updated news so I contacted the office . Did not come in till June and finally installed in July. I was pleased with the installation crew but they were missing two screens and the order was not 100% correct so I brought it to Dorian attention. ( the window openings) Two weeks went by .. then three weeks then four weeks and still no word about the missing screens . Finally I contacted the office and they said it came in and finally installed late August . But no one called me to update me on the screens . And although Dorian said he will check on the order where we had miscommunication on the window configuration ... He never got back to me . Typical sales ... he got the sale and the money and then they ghost you . I'm not sure if I could recommend them . Diamond Head gave better service and follow up although they were priced a little higher but I was trying to save some money since we're seniors with a fix income . (For the record.. I did the first half of the house with Diamond Head windows .)

The most frustrating experience working with this company. Ordered 2 doors end of February and had one installed in August but other door measured wrong and had to reorder. Now in December, finally got installed few days ago. Shout out to Nemo, Dorian and the guys who brought the door to house who made this review a positive 2. If I included management/owner the number would be a negative. How could ownership not get involved on this situation and take care of all the mishaps. If you're expecting a company to let you know what's going on in your order or if there were delays, don't expect from this company. You won't get a call or update. They only call you when they want their money. You have to proactively call to find out why it's 6 months with no door and get no explanations of what's holding the delay. Phone calls left with no reply. Bottom line this is a very unorganized company. Again if not for Nemo and Dorian, I fail to see any advantages of working with this company.

This would be a five star rating if I was rating only the Service call for Kai and the customer service I received from Monica and Lisa. All 3 of the support staff are professional, friendly and do their best to resolve issues as a result of poor quality products (sliding patio doors and entrance door) and by their installers. The owner Dave is quick to make excuses even when he is aware he has an installer who has a track record of shoddy work. I am glad my projects with this company are finally completed.

I've bought windows from them. When I do need to get new windows, I would always go back to them. They do have a return customer Discount 50 percent off

Needed to have a bunch of windows replaced so we went with Discount Windows. It's a local company- support local! The whole process was painless-from estimating to delivery and installation. Kai was great- he kept us updated re: delivery times, when to expect the installers. He answered our questions and concerns promptly. Andrew the installer was also awesome. He and his crew kept us informed of the progress and when to expect them at the house. They were able to do work arounds when the installation into the openings needed tweaking. The job was done quickly and they left the job site spic and span! I'm very happy with the results !

Our delivery workers gave us a heads up that they were coming and they were on time. Peter and Jerry were friendly and drop off our windows with care. Thank You to both of them

DO NOT use this company!!! We have been waiting for our windows since November 2024. It is now April 30, 2025. Month after month we are told our order will be next month. Next month comes and goes and they tell us it's scheduled for next month again. The latest excuse is as to why our order hasn't been delivered is that their warehouse is full. BBB complaint will be filed so that others will not waste their money on this company.

Love The Service, Diligence, Ohana and Friendliness. They field your questions and give you honest answers. I feel comfortable spending my money here then any other place.

Got my 5 windows delivered today. Had a call this morning letting me know they were on their way. Peter and Journey arrived a few minutes later, delivered as scheduled. Peter navigated my driveway perfectly. They were accommodating in placement of the windows. They got 3 windows upstairs and secure. The other 2 windows secure downstairs. It was nice to meet Peter and Journey. Very pleased with the delivery. Just waiting for the installation next week.

The installation by Dave Pirog was exceptional.Showed up on time and finished the installation on time. The quality of work was very good and kept the work area very clean during the five days of installation on my high rise condo.I was very pleased with this installation!

Kai replaced our screen door latch. His service was professional and expedient! We have replaced our sliding glass and screen doors and aw windows. We will continue to use them as we gradually replace all the windows in our home.

Just had a sliding glass door from Discount Windows & Doors installed at our home. It replaced an original single-pane door that came with the house Very pleased with the door. Exceptionally pleased by "Robert "Bob" Flores - the installer. Arrived on time, great attention to detail, asked all the right questions, worked quickly, and cleaned up after himself. Doesn't get any better.

I got quotes from three companies to replace my old, falling-apart Jalousie windows. Discount Windows and Doors offered hands down the best price for a quality product. Every part of the process was smooth sailing, from scheduling for the measuring to dropping off the material to the installation. The installer, "Nemo," was thorough and I was impressed with his attention to detail, not to mention he had a great sense of humor. I will absolutely go back to Discount Windows and Doors again if I have another project.

Got my sliding patio door and screen door delivered on time and the two delivery men (Peter and Spencer) were very friendly and courteous. They went over and beyond a regular delivery.

Got my windows within 3 months. The installation crew, Anthony and Kelii did an outstanding job on the installation. They were fast but took the time to go over anything that might be overlooked during installation. Very professional and with the Aloha spirit, I highly recommend this team! I love my new windows!

David Pirog, owner of Discount Windows and Doors, recently installed beautiful, full length of balcony, windows and sliding doors. They operate easily, are exactly what I wanted. Very good value.

I believe that employees that are on the clock for a business, represents the business. I had a terrible experience with the driver of a van for Discount Windows and Doors on Pali Highway. I was in the left lane and another car was in the lane to right, the DWD van was in the third lane. Once the cars started to move the DWD van cut off the car in the middle lane and then continued in the left lane causing me to hit the brakes. There was one and a half car distance between me and the car in front of me when the van cut me off. As traffic continued the right lane opened and I was able to pass the van and move into the third lane ahead of the van. A mile or so up the road at a stop light the van pulled up in the third (slow) lane and then the driver began shouting curse words and wanting to fight. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BUSINESS!!!!

VERY upset with an encounter I had with Kaiamana (sales rep) regarding an order I played 07/2022. At that time I was informed that it would be 16-18 weeks for delivery of my windows/door (~$20k worth of work). Fast forward, we are now 33+ weeks out and I still do not have any of the product as the delivery has been coming in pieces and not a complete order, but leading up to this I've had no proactive communication with the company. I contacted them multiple times asking for updates and only then would I receive updates. Initially when I placed my order there was a miscalculation of the number of windows and therefore the quote was off. No big deal, I'm sympathetic - people make mistakes. It was rectified and the order was placed correctly. Over this waiting period I've not received one proactive phone call from the company. In fact, today when I spoke to Kaiamana about it he raised his voice telling me "oh you want me to call you every day and tell you I don't know anything and the manufacturer is a liar?!? We have 100's of customers." 1. As a paying customer I will not be yelled at. 2. As a paying customer I will not tolerate disrespect. 3. Just because you have hundreds of customers does not mean you can treat me as if I am not a valued customer. I understand there is frustration with the manufacturer, but as a paying customer, I expect proactive communication detailing what Discount Windows & Doors are doing to rectify the information as that type of communication shows me that not only do they understand there's a problem, but they are also working to rectify it. I have emailed the front desk and owner requesting this be resolved ASAP and that Kaimana not be involved any further as I will not do business with him. I will not be disrespected or have a company raise their voice at me when I am simply requesting updates and to be communicated with. At this time I am pending a response from the owner, but am VERY displeased with the service I've received thus far.

The initial installation went just fine. Terrific service on a follow up visit for a defective pane, that Discount noticed on the initial installation. Looked fine to us. Pete Ensing? and his installation crew were nice, efficient, and very helpful. James Oahu

I ordered a couple of big sliding doors and a double hung window expecting a family member to replace the worn out existing ones with them. That didn't work out so I subsequently called the company to see if they could perform the installation. They were very obliging and scheduled me for a relatively close in date after the immediate inspection and estimate were made. Terrific! This review is only about the delivery of the doors and window which was established for a date soon after the arrival of the complete set and a couple of weeks before the job started. Peter and Zane, a middle aged man and a young boy recently graduated from high school, backed the van up my severely inclined driveway and proceeded to heft the hundreds of pounds of glass panels and frames a way up the remaining several yards of driveway to the storage location against the garage wall which is the only level surface big enough to contain the things. They suggested that place rather than below the job sites because of the level base. They were very pleasant and clearly thoughtful so I give them a big thumbs up. I'll post a review of the actual installation after that's completed.

AJ did a great job changing the broken lock on one of our windows. He also fixed a window that was hard to close that Dave said was within specs. The display windows at the showroom are a lot easier to open and close than the ones we purchased. I am only commenting on the repair by the technician today.

We had a side track from a single-hung window break. I wasnʻt sure what happened but called Discount Windows and Doors for help. Joy was awesome and scheduled us for repair with EJ. EJ was prompt and actually arrived early. He fixed our window quickly and also showed us how to fix it in the future if we needed to. Overall, EJ and Joy were really responsive, professional and very kind! Mahalo nui!

Poor service. Down to 2 employees? Upon entering guy looked up from his cell phone and stayed seated. Kaimana came and referred us to Home Depot. Quoted on top of his head price for door but couldn't come up with cost for one window. Doesn't seem they want business even though they're advertising sale. Felt very unwelcomed. Had superior service at Lowes.

This review is for warranty work on two of my windows that I purchased from Discount windows in 2011. Evidently, Discount Windows changed companies that manufacture their windows. The previous company is not responding to their inquiries about warranty work. So, the process was very lengthy, but Joy kept me updated as to the status and options. The repair tech EJ, did a great job replacing the window panels and it looks as good as new. Finally!!! Excellent service from those two, thank you very much.

Not our norm to write a review but my husband and I are just really happy to share our experience. We could not have asked for a better window installer than Nemo. He is just the best! His meticulous and attention to detail work is noteworthy. The windows were installed so neatly and placed with great care. In addition, Nemo finds time to clean up daily before he left for the day and doesn't leave any loose ends. The quality of work is by far the best we've seen! Thank you, Nemo for your diligence and great work ethics.

Ordered custom awning style windows for a vaulted ceiling and all the bedroom windows. The installer came out and got it all done in two days. He was efficient and cleaned up after himself. Thanks guys, my house looks much better now, and I can vent the hot air out of my bedroom now.

The person who did the install charged me more than quoted. Workers he used left dirt on my floor from their shoes. Never going to buy from this company again.
