I had no idea this place had been in GP for 18 years. I picked up a potato and cheese soup, which had a nice flavor, but very little potatoes or veggies in them, seemed rather sparse on the veggies. I also tried a bit of the corn and seafood chowder, which was also good, but ended up giving that to my step-dad, since he was craving that over everything else I had brought. I also bought a vanilla bean cheesecake with caramel and a puff pastry on top of it, my mother ate that, she loved it, said the cheesecake was light and fluffy, not as dense as cheesecake usually can be. I ate the spinach salad, but the smoked salmon was the type that goes on Lox and not the smoked salmon that has been in a smoker a bit longer and is a bit dryer and less like sashimi sushi. My stomach could not handle the salmon, it started making my stomach nauseous and I had to discard it on the side of the plate. The tomato and basil quiche, I was told by the cashier is delicious, was so not, it was just very bland and so below par. It was all egg and very little tomato, there were only 2 thin slices of tomato planted on the top of the quiche. It was disappointing after the first bite, my mother ended up keeping the rest of it to eat for the next day. All in all, I ended up eating a spinach salad with some mushrooms and tomatoes, wasn't quite what I was hoping, for my dinner, but it had to work.
