This place was phenomenal! Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the food was super good! We got to eat outside and it was a lovely area viewing a grassy knoll area. I don't know what they put in or on the avocado toast but it had an amazing zing taste. It was bursting with flavors. And you'll can definitely try their fried chicken cuz it had flavor! Finger licking good flavor. My friend got the shrimp and grits and she said it was great! I will definitely be going back!

I recently dined at Dish Society for a friend’s birthday brunch. While waiting for the rest of my party to arrive, I was not allowed to be seated, which I found a bit unwelcoming. I understand the policy is to order before being seated, but the approach felt impersonal. Especially at 10:00 am Sunday morning restaurant was 80% empty, and not busy at all. We ordered nearly few vegetarian option on the menu, including freshly squeezed orange juice. After placing our order, I specifically asked for a receipt. Little did I know after coming home I found out I was only given the credit card summary and not an itemized receipt, which is what I asked for. The person taking the order had communication issues and I just wasn’t feeling confident of how we were being charged since their terminal did not show pricing while we were ordering. For a party of four eating vegetarian, the total of $90 felt somewhat high considering what we ordered. While the food was fresh, items weren’t served warm when they easily could have been. The pancakes were quite dry, the avocado toast was overwhelmed by a sweet butter, and the quinoa with avocado lacked flavor. On a positive note, the vegetarian tacos and the salad were decent.

I went last night and am confident I got food poisoning from the grilled chicken I added to the veggie grain bowl. It tasted a little off when I bit into it but I consumed because I normally have a good experience with Dish Society. I can forgive restaurants for food issues if they're willing to show some empathy or take some accountability for it. I emailed Dish Society to let them know what happened only to receive a response from the owner that read: At this time, you are the only guest who has contacted us with concerns related to anything consumed at our restaurant. Our team conducts thorough product quality and temperature checks every four hours throughout the day, and we’ve confirmed that all checks yesterday, including for our chicken, were within compliance. Food safety is something we take very seriously, and we want to ensure we investigate this as thoroughly as possible. Do you happen to have any known food allergies or sensitivities? For example, soy is a common sensitivity, and both our grilled and fried chicken may come into contact with shared surfaces that contain soy. While they did express sympathy that I was sick, I was genuinely taken aback by how dismissive the response felt. The implication that my experience was invalid because no one else reported being sick—and the suggestion that a food allergy might explain what happened, rather than anything on their end—was frustrating. It’s not just about the food. It’s about how you treat your customers when something goes wrong. This experience left me disappointed in a place I used to enjoy.

Google
The food was terrible, and their mocktails, nasty omg, how could you go wrong with mocktails? Nah, never again! The food didn’t taste good at all. I got their breakfast that came with just eggs, burnt bacon and hard grain toast. I have to get an extra order of French toast which didn’t even taste good and it was cold. Yeah don’t waste your money.

Google
Dish Society had a delicious Texas Pecan Pesto Pasta with chicken, and Citrus Glazed Salmon. Flavors were all there and delicious! We also had Passiflora I Adora, Espresso Martini, and the Lavender Blush drinks and they were all very tasty and very strong. If you love refreshing drinks I recommend all of these. The customer service at the bar was fun and they were open to talking to us with good energy. The funny thing was the bartenders were both super young kids I believe in high school (but don't quote me on that lol) but they made good drinks either way. I recommend for the food, drinks, and ambiance.

We stopped in for brunch around 10:00am on a Saturday morning. I was expecting a wait but to my surprise we walked right in. I was a little worried the food wasn’t going to be very good based on the restaurant being almost empty. Everything came out quickly and it was all very good! I ordered the shrimp tacos and they were great. My husband had the Chicken and Biscuits. The chicken was juicy and cooked and seasoned perfectly and the biscuits and gravy were wonderful. Great flavor and not overly salty. The kids were able to go outside to the lawn and play and everyone was happy! Awesome spot for families with small children. I also felt it was reasonably priced and the service was great. We’ll definitely be back!

Google
Perfect location, plenty of outdoor tables, kids can play outside. Love that they have lots of healthy options for food and drinks

Google
Great spot to visit with a scenic view. There is the option to sit inside or outside on the covered patio. While enjoying the view of the town hall. The tacos & beignets are delicious!! I recommend this restaurant. I will be visiting again.

Yelp
We chose this place because of their commitment to sourcing ingredients responsibly and locally, which we really appreciate! After dining here, we noticed that canola oil is used in cooking, and while we personally prefer to avoid seed oils, we're grateful that the team acknowledged our feedback and is open to considering an alternative like tallow. It's great to see a restaurant that listens to its customers and values quality ingredients. Looking forward to seeing how they continue to evolve their menu!

Yelp
I have only had salmon once in my life many years ago but was craving it for weeks. I decided to give it a try at a restaurant before attempting my own at home. My salmon plate was very pricey around $26 with the two "premium" sides. I liked ordering at the counter and choosing my own table. Sitting outside in the fresh air was a great choice while being on lunch break. The salmon was quite tasty but not for me. I did not finish it. The Brussels Sprouts were not Brussel sprouts. They were leaves. This was very disappointing as I spent the extra $3 on them as mentioned. The winner of the lunch was the Mac and cheese. I would definitely come back here and try a different dish with a side of mac and cheese.

Yelp
My last shift and I was treated to breakfast. We decided to go to Dish Society. It's located in a plaza that has several other restaurants and shops in the area. When you go in you have to place your order and pay at the counter and you're given a number and your food is brought to you. I was stuck between ordering the Shrimp & Grits or the Chicken & Biscuits w/ gravy. I decided to order the chicken and biscuits w/ gravy with a side of grits. We also got mimosas for the table that came with four different juice options and strawberries. The prickly and pineapple were delicious. Our food came out pretty quickly. Let me just say I was so happy with my choice because that was the best chicken and biscuits I've ever had. The biscuits were fluffy, soft and so buttery!! The chicken fried perfectly and seasoned so good. The gravy. The gravy. The gravy. It really complemented the dish. The Gouda grits were ok nothing too special. They have a happy hour in the mornings on the weekdays. All in all. I'm sad that I found this gem towards the end of my stay. I am going to try to sneak in for a lunch or dinner before I leave the city.

Yelp
I enjoyed this place (granted I've only gotten Togo), but the front is friendly, the pesto pasta hits and pairs delightfully w some beignets Cheers!

Yelp
Came here with my mom for brunch and i was surprised at the service...we had to grab our own silverware and tables were not clean at all (it wasn't even busy). The food was mid. I really liked our cobb salad but the sandwich and the breakfast taco thing (forgot what it was called) was okay. Will i be back? not sure....it was also pricey!
google avatar

Christina M.

Yelp
Unfortunately I did not have the best experience here. The lady at the front who took our order was sweet but everything wrong went wrong. First I had bought a soda and the soda machine was so out of syrup that it tasted horrible. Then the food took what felt like a millennia to come out And once it came me out the food was made completely wrong for both my friend and I. Plus the sandwich I got was so greasy it was hard to finish it. Would not recommend.

Yelp
Dish Society is a Katy classic with expansive menu options for brunch. Their avocado toast and mimosas/other drinks are a great option. Located in a very busy area, it's the perfect place to people watch as well. Outdoor and indoor seating both available.
google avatar

Michelle R.

Yelp
Totally enjoy the location and vibes of this place. There's a huge green space for the kids to run around or if you want to sit and eat outside, there's tons of space! Tuesdays kids eat free with an adult entree. You do order at the counter and they bring your food out to you so there is no individual waiter service per se. Check out the chicken fried sandwich !
google avatar

Randa T.

Yelp
The shrimp and grits bowl was amazing. Both the berry muffin and lemon cookie were really good. I appreciate the gf notification on the menu of items that are gluten free. Servers were attentive and personable. What a beautiful day to sit on the patio. Cant wait for a repeat!

Yelp
The food is very good, and I enjoy the atmosphere inside and out. We have been here quite a few times and always a great experience!

Yelp
Cute place with good and light menu items! A go to for lunch! It was clean and staff are nice!

Yelp
*CHECK IN FOR AN OFFER!* Nestled in La Centerra, The Dish Society did not disappoint when it came to our brunch experience. Open seating. You order at the bar before finding your table. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered a Honey-Lavender latte with the Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast. My boyfriend ordered the Brisket N Eggs and house coffee. House coffee is unlimited refills and they provide you with a mug. My latte wasn't made correctly and the manager was quick about getting it fixed. We also got the free beignets for checking in on Yelp! The best decision. You can get the grit balls or substitute beignets for brunch. Everything was tasty. The smoked salmon was light and full of flavors. My boyfriend enjoyed his brisket n eggs. Service was quick! Beignets stole the show! We loved our experience here and will definitely be back soon.
google avatar

Jessica T.

Yelp
I always love visiting this location when I'm in the area, and I always look forward to getting my beignets from here. However, I'm not sure if they changed the recipe, because the coffee dip that the dish normally comes with tasted different from what I remembered. It didn't have a strong coffee taste like before, and was just more like a sweet runny caramel dip. The chicken tortilla soup was not warm nor hot, and it was super salty as well. I was quite disappointed and instantly regretted ordering this. The brisket stuffed sweet potato was good, and the portion was huge! Definitely took this home for dinner. The hot chicken sandwich and fries were also excellent which we had no complaints about. Just wish the soup was better and the beignet dip was the way it used to be! Super disappointed considering we drove a long ways to have brunch!

Yelp
I went to the Katy location to be specific in my review. In cinco Ranch, and it was nice food but dirty place and overpriced
google avatar

Mimi W.

Yelp
I really like the food here. The brightness of the place is also great! The drinks were good and the I ate up every last bite. My friend and I sat there for a while and talked while everyone else left within an hour. The employee cleared out dishes and tried to clear our glasses but I was still drinking. Maybe ask me if I am done drinking, kind of rude! Felt like she was pushing us out but it wasn't busy and there were a ton of open tables (it's not a wait staff so I already tipped at the register.) I would definitely return. Maybe don't use the restroom (try to hold it) not very clean and has a lot of flies.

Yelp
What a great spot. Make sure to check in for an offer! Ambiance - 5/5 - Located in La Centerra, it has a nice patio area to bring your pup or to have your kiddos run around. This area has many other small restaurants and shops around as well. Service - 6/5 - Yes. 6. You go up to cashier to purchase your items, and I forgot to show my offer until after we paid. Kevin was able to fix that for me no problem, and was just real easy to talk to. He didn't have to do that (i.e. just could have given us the offer item), but he went out of his way for us. So I purchased something extra and tipped him for it. #PayItForward Food/Drink - 4.5/5 - Ordered the following: Old Fashioned - 4/5 - Nothing super special, but was nice to sip on one outside. Gouda Grit Balls - 4/5 - Not bad, especially for $5. Pretzel & Queso - 4/5 - $5 - Great food to drink your drink with. These are long sticks vs bites. Houston Hot Chicken Sandwich - 5/5 - $15 - Must get. This was a large sandwich that had a nice kick to it. Highly recommend. Definitely would go back to try the White Choc Pretz Bread Pudding. The great news is that they will be opening one in Dallas soon. Hopefully sooner rather than later!

Yelp
Great service at the bar! I'm not a fan of having to order food at the counter prior to sitting down, it kills the restaurant vibe for me. Otherwise the food was amazing and the cocktails delicious!! Great outdoor section as well! Definitely a thumbs up!

Yelp
This was my first time here and I must say, I loved it. First of all, the staff was so nice and the customer service was top notch. It was so nice to see that. The restaurant is very well laid out and nice. I really enjoyed it. So I got a BLT with an egg on it and fries. It was one of the best BLT's I have ever had and the egg is awesome on it. The fries were so well seasoned and tasted amazing. The only thing I didn't love, was the weird choice of soft drinks, it was all Mexican type flavors but no biggie. We got the pretzel sticks with queso and we added some veggies and it was so good. Off the chain yummy. Very impressed. My friend has a salad with pecans and salmon and a sweet potato and the salad looked and tasted wonderful. My friend has celiac disease and this dish was perfect for her. I highly recommend this great lunch spot and I look forward to going back soon.
google avatar

Yelp
This was a great spot for a family bunch. There was something that everyone loved from the adults to the kiddos. I had the Southwestern bowl which had a lot of flavor. Whether you like French toast, eggs or avocado toast, you're bound to find something on the menu that you like. Order at the counter and then find your seat. There is seating available both inside and outside. If you want to sit outside, they have TVs if you're interested in sports. If you want to sit outside, it's adjacent to a lovely greenspace where the kiddos can run around.

Yelp
Food: The shrimps and grits were good but different. The sauce was not my favorite but it worked. I also ordered the fried grit balls and the breading was terrible and just too dry. My boyfriend had the brisket bowl and he enjoyed it. We also ordered the beignets. He thought they were fire but if you don't like coffee then these are not for you (I don't like coffee) Service: I ordered for pick up and my boyfriend went to get it and He said the staff was nice. However, hours later they called stating they never charged him (he thought I paid already) and asked that we pay (we did) but thought it was weird that they would give him an order without paying. Overall: I love the location of Dish Society but going back is not a must.
google avatar

Renko R.

Yelp
Located at Cinco Ranch, this place was a wonderfully tasteful breakfast spot! All the dishes look instgram worthy and flavors complimented each other with every bite. Definitely would come back again to try the rest of their menu!

Yelp
First and last time going. We went as group to have brunch! This isn't like a normal restaurant... you have to line up to order your food ! Not only that but specifically one of the of the lady's in the cash register was utterly disrespectful, what a pleasant first impression.oh let em also add you don't have a server like you would at a normal restaurant. I understand maybe a different vibe or concept they want to go by. But it's not our classical original style. The food was just as a bad as the experience the drinks were hot! no ice in sight. The "fresh fruit" was also hot I don't understand why something that should be fresh or just kept refrigerated should be hot. I got the traditional plate. Nothing special eggs, toast and bacon. I will not be returning. It's not a place where you feel taken care of.
google avatar

Yelp
Had lunch at Dish Society. I had the Ancho Chicken Bowl. It was delicious. The crispy tortilla strips were so fresh, and the chicken was perfectly cooked. My friend had the Apple Pecan Salad. She stated it was delicious. We both split a pancake for "dessert", and OMG, it was the best pancake I ever had. Parking: Convenient Seating: Indoor and outdoor seating available Staff is helpful and friendly.
google avatar

Stephanie S.

Yelp
We order the beignet which came with a coffee dip and the shrimp and grits. I rarely order grits but our local friend said it is really good. We're so glad we got it! It was super flavorful. The beignets were pretty good as well. We were pleased with our food. Our friends go the tacos and pancakes. I was surprised that this place was a pay-first joint. Service was basically non-existent
google avatar

Hayley F.

Yelp
I love the interior and outlook of this restaurant. It is spacious, clean, and has ample outdoor seating. You have to order at the counter before finding a seat. Service staff were courteous and food came out fast. I had the fried smoked gouda grit balls, and the smoked salmon avocado toast. The grit balls were not warm but tasted good. I love the smoked salmon toast. It was one slice of bread cut into half (triangle), topped with the layers of dill and onion cream cheese, avocado, smoked salmon, then the tomato, red onion, and arugula. Seasoning was perfect for every component. The proportion of toast to ingredients was just right. Thumbs up! P.S. Kids eat for free on Tuesday!
google avatar

Yelp
Always a great experience at Dish Society! We need to remember to come more often. The food is always delicious. We love the atmosphere at the new location. Inside and outside seating is great. Everything is clean and service at the counter. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Jeremy D.

Yelp
10/10 would recommend dish society. Took my dad here for a birthday brunch and was not disappointed. Service was good and fast. Felt like our food came out super fast, so that's awesome! I ordered a chicken sandwich, which was super filling! The pretzels with cheese sauce had to be my favorite thing tho, they were super good. We also ordered some drinks to top off our meals. Definitely come try it for yourself, I will be coming back!
google avatar

Amy D.

Yelp
Their chicken and biscuit's is my go to favorite. They seem to have changed the biscuits some and they are good but not nearly as incredible as they once were (hint, hint;) Their gravy is out of this world terrific!!!

Hannah B.

Yelp
I came here on a Sunday afternoon and there was not a long line, you order at the counter and then find a place to sit. This place was casual and cute! The food tasted great and everything we ordered was correct.

Al L.

Yelp
Food: okay Service: average Ambiance: average Restroom: 2 Cleanliness: 2 Will try again!
google avatar

Daquynh N.

Yelp
For the month of December, kids eat free with the purchase of an adult meal. The kids loves the quesadillas and also the popcorn shrimp. They also munch on my pesto pasta which was deliciously divine. We still have a couple more days until the end of December so we will definitely be coming back for more! Service: lovely staff from front to back of restaurant. One of the managers helped out the new staff every time she had a question. Overall good customer service and kind people. Ambiance: we opt for high top and kids like the view outside. There's outside seating but since it's around 40 degrees, we sat inside.

Derek R.

Yelp
Food was fast to come out and everything tasted great. Outdoor seating had nice shade and was comfortable.
google avatar

Carolyn S.

Yelp
While I'm not usually a fan of other DS in the area, the Katy location has totally redeemed the others! The staff was kind and generous with their recommendations. Great biscuits! They were hot and fresh along with the amazing Skillet options for all tastes!

Sheila A.

Yelp
Horrible , rude & disrespectful staff- won't be going there again ... I asked to be seated while I waited on my family & was told I could order a drink while I waited, but would have to move if someone else wanted my table ...there were at least 4 empty tables ...When I went up to order " My Drink" I had to stand in line behind someone with a dog ...where has customer service & respect gone??? Needless to say we found another place for lunch - where you actually were served & treated with respect ...Thank you -"Woke Culture " for destroying our society!!!
google avatar

Tessa Britney B.

Yelp
Great food, the ambiance is very nice. Service is good as well, will recommend to others! Favorite is their salads, and truffle fries.
google avatar

Randie L.

Yelp
The dishes are visibly smaller, less hearty, and less healthy. I understand the need to cut costs, but I've been eating here for years so hard to get used to the change. I still love the space. You can't find another spot to eat and where everyone can be free. We like to sit outdoors so the kids can roam while we enjoy ourselves and be able to keep an eye on them. Hopefully, the food will slowly return to former glory soon.
google avatar

Kristin C.

Yelp
Service started with sensational knowledge of the menu and handling my strict diet restrictions by giving options. Salmon Avocado Toast minus the toast and lettuce wrapped. Delicious
google avatar

Yasser H.

Yelp
I'm usually not a fan of brunch spots, but decided to give in to be a team player and for the greater good. The store was pretty packed and the lines at the order counter was long. There was no way that I was going to sit inside, so we opted the patio, which too was surrounded by people. We ordered the French toast, fish tacos, and an egg white omelet with potatoes. Overall the items tasted good. Potatoes were seasoned and the omelet was flavorful. The French toast also had a lot of flavor with powdered sugar, cinnamon powder and Nutella topped. Fish tacos were good too. It's a good spot to hang out with friends, especially if you're big on breakfast items and certain lunch items. Me personally, once in a blue moon customer.
google avatar

Christina A.

Yelp
My husband is not a fan of breakfast or American food and he wanted to go back here two days in a row. Food is always delicious. Everything on the menu is good
google avatar

Alan S.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by my brisket sweet potato. While it's not something I would want regularly, it was nice to try something different. My take away is that the food feels healthier and fresher than some other places. I also enjoyed the glass walls and outdoor seating options. Be prepared to park a block or so away in the garage, unless you just happen to get lucky.
google avatar

W W.

Yelp
I only come here for the breakfast. And it is generally delicious. Their grits, however, is much to be desired. 4 out of 5 stars. They don't accept cash payments. 3 out of 5 stars. So giving them an overall 4 out of 5 stars.

Yelp
Social hour (HH) m-f: 8a-10a, 2p-6p  |  sun: 3p-9p - $6 for some appetizers & small plates. Beer, wine, cocktail deals FRIED SMOKED GOUDA GRIT BALLS with jalapeño jelly $7.25 ($6 HH)- but Free with yelp check in (8 balls). Decent but wouldn't order on my own (prefer the pretzels & queso) BRISKET STUFFED SWEET POTATO [House Favorite] baked sweet potato stuffed with smoked & pulled texas brisket, green onions, white cheddar, house bbq sauce & cabbage slaw $13.95- One of the consistently good entrees that's worth the price bc it's huge. Not on the menu but you can order half a sandwich + half soup or salad GRILLED PESTO CHICKEN SANDWICH [house favorite] grilled cage free chicken, house tx pecan basil pesto, tx goat cheese, tomato & organic greens on pretzel bread $11.00 - first time ordering this, and it was good! The goat cheese is slathered thick so you must like goat cheese, which I do. Pesto is good too, and I love pretzel buns! Half sandwich was still filling if you're not a big eater. BRUSSELS SPROUT SUPER SALAD [house favorite] shaved brussels, shredded kale, organic quinoa, dried cherries, golden raisins, shaved almonds, & parmesan with sweet honey vinaigrette- a side is still big. First time ordering this, and it was good. Could've used more Brussels sprouts, but the toppings were adequate Dish Society can be pricey, but I felt like I got good value out of these 2 entrees and free appetizer :) the new location is nice bc you can ppl watch on the patio facing the lawn

Gaby W.

Yelp
Dirty and noisy. Don't want to here again. Drink is also soooooooooo disappointing.
google avatar

David T.

Yelp
Nice place to go to get breakfast with your family and friends! Pretty much like Snooze, but you order at the counter before you go sit down. I love their shrimp and grits, and their mimosas are delicious as well! Just like Snooze, the service can take a while, so ask for everything you need when they come to your table.
google avatar

Zoe K.

Yelp
***TABLES SERVED AFTER 3:30 ON WEEKENDS OTHERWISE ORDER THEN FIND A SEAT*** I don't like ordering first then sitting. Especially when I've never been because we're standing there reading the menu and blocking all awkward. *PRO TIP: order your drinks and then go sit and look over the menu calmly until you're ready to order. Play area for kids looks great and perfect for keeping an eye out on the kiddos while you brunch. Have a blessed day!
google avatar

Florentin D.

Yelp
Lovely restaurant for brunch with friends or family. Pretty decent service most of the time, as you order your food, grab your drink and sit for your food to come out promptly. Also Parking is usually a struggle at that location.

Yelp
Stopped by Dish Society - Cinco Ranch today to treat myself to a cute little birthday lunch. As always, Dish has completely exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing, and the staff was exceptional. I was even gifted a happy birthday cheesecake! As a former employee, I have extreme pride being apart of a company so dedicated to their customers and creating fantastic food. Can't wait to come back again

Madison C.

Yelp
Got it delivered on Uber eats after the hurricane and it was still 10/10. The pesto chicken sandwich and their cookies are amazing

Yelp
So this place was awesome but lacking customer service - it was more like herding cattle- you have to order then tip and you don't even get to tip based on service because ours wasn't good. The food we ordered the eggs were supposed to be over easy they were over hard we couldn't get a servers attention to return it. The literally were hosting people like cattle! "Go there place your order get a number sit where you want". That's exactly what we were told the girl taking my order was mad because she messed up the order initially and when she read it back I corrected her and she said "now I have to do it all over" with attitude and an eye roll. If you hate your job work work elsewhere... note to Management you never know who's is in your restaurant- we are all going through it with the pandemic but at least tell your employees to not be rude and smile you can see that through a mask
