Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park

Really enjoyed our visit here. Warm welcome from some friendly staff after easy parking. Had to wait like 40mins for our turn, but we're kept entertained by more staff that interacted incredibly well with all ages. The courses are very well made and have just the right amount of interaction to keep all ages entertained. High recommended attraction.

We normally go to typhoon lagoon. But this year we tried blizzard beach. Everything was great. The food and atmosphere. The wait lines were nothing crazy. It was an overall great experience with my family. We definitely loved the lazy river, it was really long and relaxing!

Oh my gosh!!!! If you love, water parks, and you love Disney, and you love fun !!!! You cannot miss this opportunity. Do not pass up the chance to go to blizzard Beach. We had such a blast 🏖️ yes it has a beach. It has tubing rivers. It has wonderful slides. It has fun and food and sun and did I say water oh yeah everything is very centrally located. It is nothing but fun in the sun. Something for everyone from young to old and in between it has lockers to stay away your personal items if you need to you can bring a wagon, sunscreen snacks, there is food inside the park plenty of shade and a very tropical feeling the ski lift is awesome. You can see the park and surrounding area, the employees were very on point. There was no long lines in my opinion for the rides it is conveniently located just a short drive from the All-Star resort. I know everybody goes to Disney World to enjoy the magic Kingdom and the other parks, but include this waterpark on your itinerary and you won’t be disappointed.!!!!

Overall it was amazing! We went on July 13th for my son's birthday, he definitely had a blast. The food is 8 out of 10 you have options from a bacon cheeseburger a flat bread , chicken tenders and a turkey cheddar cold sandwich. I recommend the mini donuts as well. Now for the rides please be aware that in Ski Patrol Camp the slide that they have is good but the water is 8ft deep i would not recommend kids under 10 unless they know how to really swim back up to surface. The Cross Country river is a must do.

We finally made it to one of the Disney water parks. Although we got rained out that afternoon, which was expected in Florida in August, it still was a great time. Loved the chair lift and the lazy river. Also, the tube slides and mat slide were very fun.

Amazing water park, we had a blast in here. Plenty of activities to do, delicious food and donuts ❤️. We'll definitely come back next year.

We happened to luck out and go on a cooler not busy day. We didn't have to wait in lines at all. For us Canadians the cooler weather didn't phase us and the water there is heated super-warm so it was great! I don't know if we'd like it on a busy day. The slides were really fun! The pool is huge. The real sand is a pretty sweet touch. The snack & food options are pretty good, but pricey as all Disney food is. The Cast members are always helpful and nice. It was super clean.

I had the best time at Blizzard Beach in Orlando! The whole place is so fun and well put together! I loved the snowy theme mixed with the Florida sun. The slides are awesome, especially the big ones, but there are also chill spots to just float and relax. Everything was super clean, the staff was friendly, and it wasn’t overly crowded when I went, which made it even better. Honestly, I had such a great day there, can’t wait to go back!

Came for the day with friends and the park was pretty much empty. It was 67 degrees out and the water was heated. Loved all the water rides and lunch was good. I enjoyed the nachos but didn't care for the garlic parmesan sauce on the wings. Parking was free and the locker fee was 10.00. Great day with plenty of seating everywhere!

Had a lot of fun and can't wait to go back. Probably won't be for a few years unfortunately. If water parks is your thing then this is a must on the to do list

Good: Empty and able to do all attractions! Bad: Expensive for a day pass and not many water slides to keep busy! Ended up finishing all attractions in 3 hours.

First time here - super easy to get to and free parking. They have a LONG lazy river (it goes around the entire property), a large wave pool and many slide options. We rented chairs ahead of time online, since I didn't know what the chair situation would be when we arrived. For $40 you can get 2 beach loungers, 2 beach chairs, 4 towels, an umbrella and a small table on a sandy beach area. Our area was near the front and very close to the lazy river entrance and the wave pool. It wasn't very busy the day we went, so I don't think I'd rent them again. We got there about 20 minutes after the park opened, and you could have your choice of chairs. They have plenty all over the park, BUT, if you want chairs with an umbrella, you'll need to rent them. The other chairs don't have umbrellas, but there is quite a bit of shady areas around the park. If you want to splurge, you can rent a deck, with chairs and umbrella for the day. Those are closer to the attractions but quite expensive. We really only tried the lazy river and wave pool, but we really enjoyed those. You could hear the screams from some of the slides! The lazy river has several areas where you can enter/exit throughout the park. It's a good way to get from one area to another if you don't want to walk. The sidewalks do get pretty hot, so I recommend wearing beach shoes. They leave the innertubes floating in the river, but sometimes you may not be able to find one when you get in. If that's the case, just wait until you get through the cave area. There's a bunch stacked up on the right and you can make your pick from there. They also have a nice selection of tubes: regular tubes, 2 person tubes and smaller white tubes for kids (that don't have a hole in the middle, but instead that is solid and the kids can sit in it. They have lifeguards EVERYWHERE and they are extremely attentive. I didn't see any of them messing around. They were all focused on the water and people. The wave pool was a lot of fun. It's zero entry and goes up to about 5'9" or so. As you get closer to the deeper area near the rocks, the waves get pretty powerful. I felt like a cork in the deeper areas, but it was a lot of fun. It's really the only "swimming" area at the park. The rest is ride oriented. There are a few shops to buy souvenirs. Plenty of food selections and several adult beverage options. They also have healthy options (fruit cups) and they have frozen slushes. If you use the Disney app, you can order food ahead from several of the shops and pick it up when it's ready so you can skip the lines. They also can handle various allergies when ordering (I have a gluten sensitivity and they handled that beautifully). You can also bring food and drink (coolers) into the park, but you can't bring in any alcoholic beverages or glass containers. So if you want to save on the food, bring a cooler or some snacks. There are also towel rentals and locker rentals near the front of the park. If you want to go, you need to go by 3/19/23, as the park is closing for renovations on the 19th, when Typhoon Lagoon will be reopening.

Disney's beautifully pristine waterpark covered in snow from the unseasonal blizzard that hit this Florida beach. Icicles are still melting upon guests as they venture through crashing waves, rivers and downhill adventures. The forecast was lousy during our visit which made for a small crowd. Never waited more than five minutes except for the Downhill Double Dipper (the wait for tubes caused a huge delay). The weather turned out to be beautiful. My party of six enjoyed several rides and partly sunny skies. Cross Country Creek was the longest lazy river I've ever endured. Pro tip: Don't be too lazy or you'll be shocked by freezing cold waterfalls! Melt Away Bay provides a gorgeous beach esthetic. It's the enormous pool with nonstop waves and no tubes to bonk into. Made for a soothing soundtrack in addition to the reggae music and classic Christmas tunes. Teamboat Springs was ideal for my group of six because we all fit inside one raft. We also raced each other on the Toboggan Racers. Runoff Rapids offers your choice of three slides, one is completely enclosed. Blizzard Beach also offers ample seating, fresh towels, ice water, gift shops, mobile dining options, and allergy friendly snacks and drinks. Angry Orchard was available throughout the park. We ordered lunch from Lottawatta Lodge, where gluten-free burgers were available. The wait for allergy friendly was long but everything but the rock hard gluten-free bun was delish! Masks were required in all indoor spaces as Disney continues to take precautions during the pandemic. Like all Disney theme parks, cast members were awesome and helpful. We all plan on returning!

Blizzard beach is an amazing waterpark to hit while you are in the Orlando area. It is beautiful, it is Disney, and it is FUN! We purchased our tickets online and while walking in a gentleman helped us out to access our tickets. Ironically he too was from Miami (coral gables to be exact) and was very kind. We were able to enter promptly without the long lines you normally find at Disney. We went during the middle of the week so it wasn't CRAZY packed but there were a lot of people. Rides were incredibly fun and I love how everything is themed. They have a nice bar by the wave pool and food galore. I have two complaints about the park: One: some of the staff working the rides/lifeguards were a bit rude. I can tell their job is frustrating but they should be try to be a bit more polite to guests. I had one of the workers answer me rudely when one of the rides was having technical difficulties. She was manually telling people to slide down one of the slides because the go/stop light was malfunctioning. At some point when I was about to go it began to work again. I hadn't noticed so I asked her if I go or not. She rudely answered me. Apparently the light was on again and I hadn't noticed. I didn't think my question was far fetched. It was little things like this I was a bit put off by. I also feel there should be more covering by the wave pool. Florida Sun is brutal and this place is for kids. They should have something to provide more shade. I recommend getting there on time to have the whole day there. If not you will not get your money's worth.

Just come prepared with all of your stuff... It says it's closed right now and I don't know how long for and or why it's closed when it's the beginning of summer. Maybe it's opening soon who knows.

This is the best themed water park I have ever seen. Better theming than volcano bay and more laid back and definitely safer for smaller kids and young teens .. The rides are fun and easy, and the grounds are mostly shaded. Unlike VBay where there is no place to sit in the shade this park offered plenty. The minus is that it got very very crowded in the afternoon during spring break and the lines got big. The "ski lift" kept braking. And there was no shade while waiting in line. The lazy river got clogged up with tubes and barely moved. But we still prefer this park as I didn't have to accompany kids everywhere all the time . the racing lanes were super fun.

I don't know why, but it was always a thing to want to do in Florida because it's ridiculously hot in the summer. So naturally... a blizzard themed water park. It's cute. The summit plummit is one of the highest tubeless water slides I've ever been on... and be prepared for the worst frontal wedgie you've ever had in your life. I've been here several times over the years.

Blizzard Beach is a fun water park for the entire family. From the thrilling Summit Plummet to the lazy river and the kids area, there's fun for everyone. The park has a fun winter theme. Lots of food and drinks options (including specialty coffees and alcoholic beverages). Come early if you want to get good seating, especially if you are in a larger group and want to all sit together.

Wow What a let down. Spent a fortune on a polar patio and it really sucks. Raining straight down which I get happens in Florida a lot. This crappy patio offers almost no shelter from rain. Good thing there are only 2 of us as 85% of the patio is exposed to rain as we huddle under a shitty little umbrella. Seaworld and Universal have it right with their in park specialty's. I'm not blaming Disney for the rain but we should at least be dry in our polar patio for what we paid. Not much shelter from the sun either. Waste of almost $400. Just adding the locker. It's not worth calling a locker. You can put a couple wallets and your keys in it. That's all. Pic included on that also.

This water is really fun I'll definitely repeat I want there for my birthday weekend. Boyfriend surprised me and I had a really good time with friends and family. All the rides were amazing. There was no wait time on either of the rides short lines we stayed there from 10 to almost 4 and we got to ride all the rides in the park. Good tip is to arrive early because all the big lockers go fast and the park has good food and serve alcohol near the wave pool

I think I've been spoiled with the other water parks in the Orlando area. This one just felt outdated and the only things that made it fun were its multiple tall slides and ski lift ride up to them, but after a few times it got boring pretty quickly. I think I would recommend this park for a family wanting a 'less crowded' water park or if you really, really enjoy tall slides. The slides can be pretty intimidating at first and you get a good thrill from them. I ended up going during a light storm so it was pretty not crowded and I was able to go on the slides multiple times pretty quickly. Other than that, I'd recommend Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or other water park instead.

This is a refreshing location away from the parks when visiting Disney. This water park has many fun activities to di for all ages. They have spots at location for children and adults. The lazy river is fun to go around to enjoy peace and relaxation. There is a sky lift that takes you to the top to enjoy very fun slides and tube rides. There are less intense rides as well. The food is mobile order but offer a refillable alcoholic cup that is a good way to go. There are rapids in center that everyone enjoys. Get there early for best lounge chairs but if not able to there are chairs no matter what. Lots of shops and food stands. Staff is very helpful. Summer is fun here.

Winter themed water park. Cool idea and concept. First, it's not part of your themed park package deal. So, if you plan to visit, you have to buy a separate ticket around 70 ish dollars. (Disney is great at communicating so much, yet when it comes to additional costs and exclusions; communication is muddled and/or omitted. Hmmmmm) When you enter, other families are confused as well and the staff are hardened a#% holes about this. It was shocking how rude she was to us when we were asking for information. Lockers are provided for a small fee. Small lockers $10 Large Lockers $15. These were extremely helpful. Lots of places to eat, drink, and snack. We bought a limitless cup so my niece could refill. (It was super hot.) Alcohol drinks much appreciated. (lol) We found seats by wave pool but other reviews were correct in that if you want a shaded seat you need to get there early. Wave pool was large but ugh. I did not enjoy it. You have to search out someone leaving the pool to get a tube/raft. Nothing like playing the Hunger Games version of "find your own raft" when you've traveled by bus from your hotel to park, paid a lot of money, paid more for a locker, paid a lot for a cup of liquid, then braved hot conditions to find a seat in the sun... .then to fight with children and adults to get a raft to experience a heavily chlorinated wave pool that feels a little like a cesspool. Of course my 11 year old niece loved it. Now, I did enjoy the rides. Just be ready and capable to walk up 5 to 8 flights of stairs to get to the slides and other experiences. A few of the rides have a chair lift but many do not. So... I did enjoy knowing that I was burning off a lot of calories. Lazy river was interesting. It's very shallow. However, it gives a good overview of where everything is and you can get out and get back in to travel to different sections of the park. Think of it like your water trolley. This was a one and done experience for me. I was glad my niece got to experience it and we did make memories. However, Disney didn't capture the magic at this one. I thought this water park missed the mark and would have preferred an independent water park or the hotel pool. Note: of all the places I visited this week (Hotels, Theme Parks, Transportation etc....... ) the staff at this park was the most hostile, rude, and in need of training.

It was our first time coming to Blizzard beach and I can say we all loved it! We parked in Animal Kingdom and caught a bus to Blizzard because we were going to Animal Kingdom afterwards but the parking in Blizzard beach is actually right in front of the entrance so there's not much walking unlike the others where you need to ride the tram. When you enter they have a lot of cool "Christmas like" decorations like sleighs where you can take pictures from. Lockers cost $10 for a regular sized one and I believe $20 for a double but the regular sized one fit all of our stuff. They do have towels for rent if you don't bring your own which to me, honestly they should be complimentary since it is a Disney Water park or at least complimentary to Annual Passholders. There are plenty of beach chairs available on a "first come first serve" but you can also rent lodge chairs and umbrellas. You can also reserve a private deck in the shade with plenty of chairs, tables and umbrella's throughout the park which is awesome if you have a big party. My experience on the amusement portion of it is only based on the "family oriented" side of the water park because since we went with a 4 year old we couldn't really enjoy any of the big slides. There's a section for the smaller kids (infants/toddlers) with minimal water in the pool and sides which is fun for them. Also has sand on that area so you do get a bit of a beach vibe if you want. The wave pool was awesome. The lazy river was legit a lazy river! You'll find booths throughout the parks selling drinks and snacks but you can take your own snacks which will save you a lot of money in the long run if you're going to multiple parks. We did try their frozen margaritas. I got a strawberry one which was pretty good. Of course minimal alcohol since it's a water park but it was very refreshing. The original margarita on the other hand was not good. It barely had flavor. That one went to waste because it really just taste like frozen ice water and lime. The blueberry frozen drink was tasty. That one was nonalcoholic and both Aubrey and myself liked it. They have a pretty big bathroom with changing stalls, regular toilet stalls and shower stalls. BEWARE THE WATER IS COLD if you decided to shower before leaving the park. Overall we had a good time. We all loved it considering that we didn't really get to do everything. Had we had we would of been happier. P.S YOU SHOULD CONSIDER WEARING WATER SHOES. THE FLOOR CAN BE EXTREMELY HOT SPECIALLY DURING THE SUMMER. By the end of the day the bottom of my feet were burned..

This is a "cool" water park. A winter themed water park? YES! And it's well executed. To get to the top of the biggest "peak" they have a "ski lift". This gives you access to their big slide, summit plummit. It also gives you access to a small slide and a pretty intense group tube ride. There are also 2 smaller peaks. One of those has the slides where you grip the piece and go down. The one where you go down the winding tubes was my favorite. Overall, the lines were very reasonable about 15-30 minutes per slide, we were able to do all of the slides in a short amount of time. We didn't get to experience the lazy river as we only spent half a day here.

Overview: My first time to Orlando and I'm a Pisces. Obviously you have to go to Disney when you're in Orlando, and the water sign in me wants to do anything that involves a wave! My friends advised me to skip the water-park and just "go to Epcot." I am so happy to say that I ignored them and went for the $69 dollar double-park experience. Typhoon lagoon and blizzard beach for about half the price of one Disney theme park is a pretty good deal and well worth it. My friend and I spend 6-7 hours swimming, floating on the river, and sliding down the best slides I've ever seen! Blizzard beach is set-up like a ski-lodge, you take a ski lift to some of the rides, including the highest, Mount Gushmore. Rides: My favorite part though is the wave-pool, typhoon lagoon has the biggest, with giant waves every 90 seconds (with a thirty-minute break every hour and a half) that are 6-feet high. Only thing that would make that better is a surf-board! Blizzard beach's wave pool is just as fun for someone like me who loves bobbing in the water on tubes, grab your tube and ride some milder-waves at this waterpark. Food: The food is also decent. For theme park food your not disappointed. You can get at least one vegan option, a few vegetarian options, and of-course Disney's famous turkey-leg, which if you aren't vegan or vegetarian you must try. Probably the best deal at the park, for about $13 you get to eat a leg from what seems like a giant mutant turkey! Well-seasoned as well. All the food is moderately priced, and everyone who works there is lovely to interact with. Everyone smiles at you when you walk in and is eager to answer any questions. Must-knows: Lockers are $10 for a small and $15 for large. You can open your locker as often as you would like during your stay. Blizzard beach is about a five-to-ten-minute drive from typhoon lagoon, walking seems way too long and wasting time since the water parks so close at 5. Going in April between spring-break and summer-vk is pretty perfect, no waits for rides and the park doesn't seem at all crowded. Make sure you put on a LOT of sunscreen. The Florida sun will do everything it can to crisp you! Blizzard beach also sells spf50 shirts that you're able to wear in the pools. If you're planning on doing both water parks I would suggest going to typhoon lagoon first then making your way to blizzard beach, since the entrance to winter-summer-land mini-golf is right there which is another fun Disney activity to do after the water parks close! Favorites: To summarize, go to the water parks! Eat a turkey leg, rent a locker, don't sit in the sun! Sometimes you will even be visited by some Florida wildlife as you eat. Our Disney guests were some of the cutest big-beaked American white ibis, which look like mini-storks and are completely harmless, and the kids loved them! Probably the best part though is the Christmas theme! I love everything about the holiday-time! Christmas music mixed with the tropics is the perfect combo to me! Not-to-mention the palm trees mixed with Christmas trees! Enjoy your time and your entire Florida vk!!! I highly recommend going to the water parks at Disney!!!

Not as exciting as the wave pool at typhoon lagoon. The beach chairs don't adjust so laying flat is the only option. Makes it hard for adults who want to lounge while watching their kids. There are small chairs one could sit in but it's still not lounging. They have great slides. The must do is the Summit Plummit. It's a winter water park for a reason. Smaller crowds and cooler temperatures makes this place a comfortable option.

For the food in Blizzard beach, my friend and I tried out Avalunch's hotdog which was a quick service food to grab on the go. They have many flavours of hotdog toppings, my favourite is the Bacon Macaroni and Cheese beef Hot Dog! The cheesy mac and cheese sauce soaks up the bread and hotdog making them extra cheesy! They also have nachos and Chili-cheese flavours too. Bacon Mac and Cheese Beef Hot Dog - $10.99

Pretty cool place more for kids than adults obviously. A lot of cool chill areas for the adults , reasonable food and beverage prices . Lazy River was absolutely amazing !

We always enjoy our visits to Blizzard Beach Waterpark! The Winter Ski Lodge Theme is not as nice as Typhoon lagoon but it does create a feeling of coolness which is nice during the hot summer Florida months. The Music played throughout the park is Christmas music with an island style tropical twist. I like the music with no words but the songs with words are crazy repetitive and a bit annoying. Where Blizzard Beach really shines is its record breaking thrill slides! The slides at Blizzard beach are much taller, faster, and scarier than Typhoon lagoon! BlIzzard Beach Water park opened in 1995 and was the third Walt Disney World water park. It is the third-most visited water park in the world, behind its sister park, Typhoon Lagoon. Blizzard Beach is open year-round with an annual maintenance closure in the winter. All water areas are heated at approximately 80 degrees Fareinheight, with the exception of the melting snow in the ice cave of Cross Country Creek. Legendary Beginnings: According to Disney legend, a snowstorm led to the development of Florida's first ski resort but the snow melted, leaving behind waterlogged ski jumps and chair lifts. As operators were preparing to close the park, they noticed a blue alligator, Ice Gator, sliding down the mountain at top speed and decided to turn the ski resort into a water park! Green Slopes: 1. Summit Plummet is the flagship attraction at 120 feet tall, and speeds 60 miles per hour! It's the third-tallest and fastest free fall slide in the world! 10/10 2. Teamboat Springs is the world's longest "family white-water raft ride" at 1,400 feet long! 10/10 3. Slush Gusher is a 90-foot-tall, 250-foot-long snow-banked mountain body slide that reaches speeds up to 35 miles per hour and is one of only a few water slides where "air time" is achieved. 10/10 Purple Slopes: 4. Downhill Double Dipper is one of the world's only side-by-side racing tube slides. 10/10 5. Snow Stormers is a "mat slide" consisting of three flumes that are 350 feet long. 10/10 6. Toboggan Racers is an 8-lane, 250 foot water slide where guests lie on their stomach on the toboggan style mat as they race to the finish line. 9/10 Red Slope: 7. Blizzard Beach is one of the best water parks in the United States. I am a water park goer meaning I have been to a lot of water parks in the country. Disney knows how to do water parks and make them fun and enjoyable. I think a day to the water park needs to be on every families Disney trip because these places are awesome!! Thankfully I have the Platinum Plus pass for Disney so water parks are included with my pass, but if I did not have this one I would for sure get a water park pass. To go to the water parks all year it costs $138! This is great because if you go more than 3 times the pass pays for itself. When you walk in they usually have 1 or 2 characters out to meet people. Nice thing about doing this is the line is usually only a few people and I have been able to walk right up and meet Goofy, Olaf, and Hans before! It is pretty awesome! This place is 100% family friendly! They have something for absolutely everyone. They have the family sky lift that will take you to the top of the mountain and from there you can do plenty of the other rides. They have a family raft ride, they have the tobbogin ride, they have a little of it all. They also have a kids Ski Patrol center which is awesome as well!! The food here is very fair priced and you can even get a cup that is easily refillable. Also, I almost forgot, parking is free here!! I highly recommend this water park and think you all should for sure check it out on your next Disney vacation!!

This place is in Disneyworld! And it's a nice place to go to on vacation and we can get fast passes for if we don't want to wait in line for too long! Also they got Disney characters in Disney's Blizzard Beach Waterpark! They also have hotels that we can stay at in Disneyworld too! We can swim with dolphins and go snorkeling it looks like!

Newly refurbished.. and yet still looks like bad outdated 80's decor and finishing. When comparing to Universal Studios Volcano Bay, I am very disappointed we came here for a second day of water parks. This water park is geared towards families with kids. Only a handful of different slides. Several are duplicates of each other. Slides are very tame. No WOW or thrill factor compared to Volcano Bay. The lazy river is less than 3 feet deep. Watch out scraping your feet and legs. Hard to just relax because of how shallow and slow it runs.

So amazing! This was my first visit back to this park after 20+ years and it did not disappoint! A variety of slides that kept the kids occupied all day. We rented a Polar Patio and I highly recommend it. Our patio came with refillable mugs, towels, a huge cooler of ice water and an attendant who took care of our food and drink needs. Her name was Amy and she was amazing! We booked our patio online so we were able to go straight to it and there was a phone number to text our attendant. Very good value for what's included and it made such a difference to our day! Great music, relaxed environment and great service!

Beautiful, safe, clean. We loved that it wasn't overcrowded in the least. Want to return ASAP for another sand pail to be enjoyed by the family

Fun! Fun! Fun! This place is fun for all ages we went president weekend and enjoyed the weather and lack of crowds. Big plus is you do not have to carry up a big tube to the top of a slide. Also they have a chair lift to the top of the rides! You can bring in a small cooler with drinks and snacks. However, we could not resist the bucket of yummy ice cream!

Typhoon Lagoon was boring to me but their wave pool was SO MUCH BETTER than the one at this park . Blizzard beach has some neat slides but it's so SMALLLLL and gets over crowded . Also , they need to do some serious updates . Add new slides they need something cause I only stayed here for like an hour . Since to me there was NOTHING to do . Also I had a Disney gift card that if you tap it on my phone you can scan a barcode to charge for whatever it is I'm trying to buy . The dumb girl who works there couldn't scan it . She didn't know how I guess . What if that was the only form of payment I had to get food? So due to that , I never ate anything . I ended up leaving and driving to some Colombian spot for some good food . Volcano bay will always be the best water park .

Blizzard Beach offers family fun but my teenage kids said it isn't as much fun as it used to be or could be the way it is set up. They felt the park was set up for younger kids, while the "older kids" attractions are at the back of the park. This park provides super shady areas, almost to the point that it has limited "tanning" space for those in the mood to get a little color. The overall set up of this park is much more relaxed and picnic style than expected which is perfect if thats the mood you're in. The wave pool is just too shallow for adults to enjoy and the waves aren't that exciting. It's like a big kiddie pool. Park and rides look older. They should update the theme because the winter in summer just makes it look old. Why not update decor to match the tropical music playin in the background and get rid if the holiday carols that are mixed in every once in a while??? The current landscape just doesn't work - it isn't fun. Not sure if we'll be coming back again until we have grandkids.

Fun and exciting day! Great water rides and fun wave pool! One was closed due to the water not filling properly however but overall it was a great experience. Short wait times, only food we had were donuts and they were good! Goofy made an appearance and I hear Donald and Daisy show once in a while too!

First, I took my shirt off and walked around the whole day! Second, The lazy river was so legit. It was about an half hour to 45 minute loop around the entire park with stops where you could get off to enjoy different sections of the park. I really enjoyed this feature as it was not much effort to enjoy. I'm not a fan of amusement parks but it was a family vacation so I got on a few rides reluctantly. I did enjoy them. Third, I didn't care much for the wave pool. The bottom of the pool was coarse and if you lost your balance you scraped you butt or your back pretty badly. Trying to get up you then scraped you toes pretty badly or got slammed into a lifeguard wall. It was cooler in the deep end but the floor was too rough. I enjoyed the kid section and my toddler was a little hesitant but did not seem to mind the wading pool. I tried to put him on the kiddie slide but he stood up and walked down! The food was hella expensive and the drinks were even more expensive but the best deal there was the refillable cup and the smoked turkey leg hands down. The wait time for each ride was not bad at all and it really was one of the better water parks I've been to. Not so humbly submitted, King Michael C.

Toboggan racing on the water? How cool is that? A ski lift that brings you to the top of a waterside? Even cooler. I love how you can race downhill on a toboggan against your friends and it's timed. Great concept. The only reason this gets only 4 stars is because there aren't enough rides and slides. And for the $60 admission I would expect more of a blizzard rather than a simple snowfall.

We love coming to this waterpark! There are more slides at this one than typhoon lagoon. It has a huge toddler area for kids. I just love the fact that the lazy rivers wraps around the park so it's easy to get from point a to point b. The food cost, well we all know it has disney prices but you can bring your own food as well like snacks, sandwiches, and non alcoholic beverages (no glass bottles). After all, we do pay a pretty penny to go to these parks to spend the day.

A serious fixer upper! An au natural version, and sub par to Kalahari Resort. WARNING -- rough cement bottom that cuts and scrapes skin. SEATING -- plenty of sunbathing and short chairs that are flopped to the sides. The chaotic freestyle setup consumes free space. Doesn't the crowd of chairs hinder safety access? The rows and lines of chairs may look like an industrial factory, but everybody gets a comfy chair or enjoy. POD HUTS -- needs to be replaced by an Architectural Shading Net for open space design, shade and a breeze catcher. Wanna be a kiddie version of Dubai beach resort?

So hmm. I've been coming here for years, meaning more than 10 anyway. As a lifetime Florida resident I have to say this water park is my favorite, but it seems like it could use a few updates. The "ski" lift that takes you to the top of the waterslides (like the slush gusher area) is super slow and stops frequently now. The ski lift lines were once reasonable, but now it seems like more of a long hassle than a functional piece of ride equipment. When I asked the staff about why the ride was stopping and so slow they were sort of crabby and not full of the happy Disney optimism I would expect. So not Disney. That portion of the experience aside, I really do like this park. The lazy river is fun and the slides with inner tubes and mats are all very fun. In the summer and hotter months expect long lines. There are lots of visitors and Florida residents here. The park has lots of fun food options including exotic hotdogs, burgers, cheesesteaks, alcohol, and desserts. I tried a hotdog topped with mac and cheese. It was so good and I was like why didn't I ever make this myself? One of stands inside makes a kids "sand pail" ice cream sundae that is served in a bucket, it was huge and that place always has a long line. I opted for my long time favorite-mini doughnuts that are tossed in cinnamon sugar and served hot with milk chocolate, white chocolate, or raspberry dip. These are out of the world and the best after a long swim. Blizzard beach will also rent towels and lockers if needed and the bathroom has a large changing area. Overall this is a really fun place, but it could use a few modernization updates.

My family loves this water park! They have a play area for the kids and the tubes for the wave pool was awesome!

Disney always does a great job and this water park is no exception. The theme here is a "blizzard" snow covered look with rides and decor that match the name Blizzard Beach. My kids enjoyed the visit. We live in Florida and have visited all the water parks you can imagine. It is clean and well maintained, however the cost is a bit hard to swallow. Tickets are around $53 (10 and over) & $47 for children (3-9 years old). If I had to choose Blizzard beach vs Wet & Wild, Wet & Wild would likely win just because it has a lot more rides and variety. The cost of Wet n Wild is a little cheaper, but again...much larger and a lot more rides. While there is not a Disney theme, who cares...it's a water park! G Bottom Line: Disney freaks will love it and won't care about cost or size of park. Those looking for a longer day with more variety may want to look at an alternative place to visit.

I've always loved water parks, and this one is one of my favorites! It beats Typhoon Lagoon HANDS DOWN, with a better wave pool and better rides than its nearby counterpart. When I was in high school, I was so excited our class was going to have a trip here, so I was devastated when I got sick and the chaperones didn't let me go in the water. I also got some pretty serious burns here as a result (couldn't go to school for three days because my skin blistered so bad... I spent most of that time in an oatmeal bath. Wear sunscreen, kids!). It would be years before I ever got the chance to return. I finally did with my dad about seven years ago, and had such a blast. Then, I made a beeline for Summit Plummet, because I knew that if it wasn't the first ride I did, I'd chicken out. Plenty of people did while waiting in line, and with good reason - that ride is terrifying. I can now say I've done it, but I won't go near it again (fair warning: you WILL get a wedgie on this ride. If you're lucky, you won't have a creepy old dude lurking at the end watching everyone try to get rid of their wedgies before stepping off the slide. I wasn't so lucky). Fast forward to this weekend. My friends and I pulled into the parking lot a few minutes before the park opened, and it was pouring down rain. As long as there wasn't lightning, we were game... after all, if you're going to get wet anyway, where better to be than a water park? Fortunately for us, the rain clouds cleared away after about 30 minutes, and we had absolutely picture-perfect weather the rest of the day. That early morning downpour scared some people from going to the water parks, so we enjoyed the first half of the day with little to no crowds for the rides. We walked on pretty much any ride we wanted! Around 1 pm, more people came in, but even then, the crowds weren't that bad at all. We didn't wait longer than 10-15 minutes for any of the rides. I highly recommend buying water shoes for this park. You do a LOT of walking/climbing stairs here, and my pained feet are a testament to that. By the end of the day, I felt like I was walking on hot coals. But really, that's my only complaint. Well, that, and the fact I now have Christmas music in my head from the music they played all day. The lazy river is amazing, there are a good variety of slides (Teamboat Springs being my favorite!), and the wave pool is SO much better than Typhoon Lagoon (if you've never been, it's like a tidal wave, and it's painful - I had people land on top of me several times, and got cuts and bruises as a result). For Blizzard Beach's wave pool, be on the hunt for inflatable tubes - they are in limited supply. We opted to rent a cabana for the day, and if you have the means, this is totally worthwhile. You have an attendant who can bring you drinks and food, as well as extra towels and bottled water (both of which are included with the cabana). It has its own locker as well, and six padded lounge chairs in which to relax. The (unlimited!) bottled water is kept in a cooler with ice, and you also get a "rapid fill" mug that you can use at any of the soda fountains around the park. If you're a Florida resident, look into the multi-day tickets and add the "water park fun and more" to it for a good discount. I bought a three-day park-hopper for $201, and added the water park option for $32. With tax, my total came to $248. Meanwhile, a single day ticket to one of the four parks (as a FL resident) is $135, and a single day at one of the water parks is $60. But with my ticket, I can visit the four regular parks three times, and visit the water parks three times too. Even if I don't use the water park ones again, I still got it for literally half the cost of buying the ticket on its own!

As we pulled into the parking lot, I could see the sky scraping "Summit Plummet" slide. Every once in awhile I would see a small ant sized person load up onto it, begin to slide and then disappear. I said to my husband, "How come I never see them go off the end of the slide?" He turned and looked at me like this: :l and said, "Um, because they don't want dead tourists." Then everyone in the car had much fun at my expense. I didn't realize how tall it was, that far away. Scuze me. :P So, the ginormous slide is just a facade, when you actually go on the tallest waterslide on the planet (no exaggeration) you go straight down and end at the bottom, with an impossibly fantastic wedgie party in your crack. We entered the park and my youngest began repeating, "I want to go to the top." "I want to go to the top." "I want to go to the top." I verified, "That big one? The tallest one? Are you sure?" "I want to go to the top." "I want to go to the top." A lady standing next to me also verified with her, "Are you sure? Do you know how high that one is? I won't even go on that one." "I want to go to the top." "I want to go to the top." So we all hopped onto the ski lift and headed up to the Summit. We went up and up and up. You could see most of the park down below. We successfully exited the ski lift without injury and then started up the steps towards the Summit. One by one I kept seeing people coming back down with looks of fear on their faces. My teenager bailed out a few flights later. She shook her head and said, "No way, I'll see you at the bottom." I again verified with my youngest. "Are you SURE you want to go on this one first?" Still filled with excitement and glee she demanded we stay on course. I started to hear random screams of terror. A few more flights up and I started to get a little nervous. I love heights, I have no fear. My daughter began insisting that she go first. That scared me. What if she freaked out? This thing is so tall that I would imagine one false move may render you with a broken leg or arm. I tried to talk her into letting me go first. She shook her head violently. She's my stubborn & independent one. I was just going to have to let my baby go. She crawled onto the slide and the CM advised her to lean back, cross her arms and legs and hold them tight. I saw her little head begin to slide and all I heard was, "Eep!" She was gone. I leaned over to look towards the bottom of the slide and saw her shining little buttocks glaring back at me as she stepped off to the side. She had made it. Now I had to do it. Half way down the 120 foot drop your stomach lodges somewhere into your throat and remembering to hold your nose closed tight is not an option. I felt myself rest at the bottom, choked and hacked out a pint of water, stood up, tried to un-attach my bathing suit from my liver and stepped off of the slide. That was wicked!!! The family tubing ride was a blast. I think it was our favorite because we all were able to enjoy it. We would have loved to stay and play for a couple of days but the nagging FL thunderstorms shut down the park both days we were there. I'm so glad we were able to experience Blizzard Beach at least once with our girls and will feel truly lucky to be able to return again.

This is, by far, a high 5 star water park on the Disney World property. Themed around a snow resort in Central Florida, its beautifully designed from top to bottom. The central location is the huge ski resort mountain located right in the middle. Many of the parks water slides are located on top and around the mountain. At the very top is the intimidating Summit Plummet. At 120 feet and 60 mph, it's by far one of the fastest and tallest slides around. Also check out the wave pool, the lazy river, the family raft slide and the ski patrol training center.

In my opinion this is the best of the two waterparks that Disney offers in WDW. It's better, because the rides are all better. We spent almost an entire day here. Left due to incoming stormy weather. So here is my quick rundown of the attractions at Blizzard Beach.. Chair Lift. Neat little ride, that doesn't really save you much in time, maybe a little in walking but really, when you go to WDW be prepared to walk. Plummet Summit. Ouch. NO really ouch. I got a HUGE bruise on my left butt cheek from this sucker. It's still tender over a week later. Ever bit it on a tube going real fast behind a boat? That is what the end of this ride feels like. The beginning is AWESOME but the end is just way too painful to do it again. Cross country creek. Spent over 2 hours in this one. Loved the coverage and the slow lazy move. Less kids in this one because there is more for kids to do out in the park. Go figure. Downhill double dipper. Cool fun ride, but because of how it's designed, the wait can get a little too long. Get this one done early on. Melt Away Bay -- A tiny wave pool in comparison to Typhoon Lagoon however it's nice and relaxing. Runoff Rapids. These are some tube rides on the back of the mountain. Great rides...if just a little confusing/hectic while trying to get on and get your tubes. These three slides are unique because you actually carry your tube the whole way up the mountain. Don't do this with whiny kids or you will find you will be carrying the tube for them as well as you. Ski Patrol Training Camp great looking area that is fun! But for parents this might be a godsend or a deal breaker. Lots of bored parents lined the pool here waiting for their kids. If you are cool with that, this is a great place. If you ain't then you may want to pass on Blizzard Beach altogether. Slush Gusher = Plummet Summit lite with some humps. Meh do it once. Snow stormers = new the Ski Patrol Training Camp. Fun little tube rides for the less adventurous. Worth a try! Teamboat Springs. One of our greatest disappointments in all of Walt Disney World is that this one got closed down for the rest of the day after we were able to only go on it once. This probably would be my favorite waterpark ride for sure. Very fun and VERY long!! Yet the line seemed to move pretty well. Tikes Peak was the kids play area. Fun! Loved the water guns! Toboggan Racers. Fun, but again I suggest people with back problems be very careful on this one. And a little hint. If you want to have some fun, don't "Race" your kids, see who can go the farthest! You will never lose. ;) Slalom Toboggan Racers. This one seems like a really long ride too for the wait. Totally worth a go! But be warned the end pool is deeper than you would expect, so be prepared! So as you can see this park has a bunch of great rides. No ride is below average or avoid. That is why this park beats Typhoon Lagoon. Also the coverage for the "spots" is great! They have much more places to set up camp that is covered. And one thing I noticed here was that Disney just does such a good job with sitelines. It's always a great view from where ever you are in WDW. One note of a hint. My daughter was right at the cut off height for the rides. The differences in the height of the "measurement stand" was pretty drastic. So, if you need to have the kid double checked. Go down to the station near the Chair lift and they can get a manager to double check your kids height. We had to do that for the double dipper ride. I wouldn't even push it for the Plummet Summit though. Another note. All the parks open earlier than the scheduled time, they just don't open the rides until then. So you can go there, get your locker or whatever shopping you might need to get done, and then be ready for the dash into the park for the rides.

This Disney Water park is nothing short of awesome! Yes...it's a bit dated Yes...it has some old school beach chairs Yes...some of the theme elements are old looking like the ski lift. But, in the grand scheme of things...all those things are cosmetic and mean little to the true experience you'll have at the park. I have fours kids ranging from 2 years to a 12 year old and I was truly happy to discover this park was suitable for all ages. Little children: As small as my 2 year old, they have an entire section with little water slides, tub slides, water play ground, large 6 man family tub slides you can take little ones, and a floating river....plenty to keep them busy all day! Middle aged children: Not only can they go on most if not all the large thrill rides, but they have an entire area for them to climb and do obstacle courses. Older children / teens They can basically do anything. From wave pools to fast water slides, they can keep occupied all day. The floating river itself can be relaxing yet, fun for all ages...and it's a long one. Adults When we weren't watching the children...my wife can easily grab a margarita to forget we have kids haha. Overall, it's a well designed park that you'll have plenty of fun. Forget the glimmer and enjoy the park for what it is. Recommendations for Disney... Add some more washrooms or better label them because they weren't easy to find...unless they expect people to go in the pools...

This is the most beautiful water park in Florida. It is not the biggest or best, but it is better than Typhoon Lagoon by a country mile. There are two negatives; 1) if it lightings at all the park is shut down for hours so check the forecast, and 2) the slides and rides on top are a 30 minute wait (where is the fast pass, seriously) I also love the fact that they spay the concrete with water so you don't burn your feet or have to wear water shoes. Also bring you photoband Disney cards if you want pictures from photographers.

Blizzard Beach = more/better slides/attractions. Typhoon Lagoon = better wave pool. That's the difference. As a mommy shaped woman, I highly recommend you check out the bathing suit selection in the stores of either. They might be expensive, but they're extremely flattering for moms. My favorite ride was Teamboat Springs, the family ride. It's a good long ride, and my children's cackling laughter is an awesome soundtrack. Summit plummet hurts. Like your butt and thigh area. You will be sore. My eldest LOVED The American Ninja Warrior training course. At least that's what she calls it. What I love most about both parks is they don't put height minimums on a lot of the slides. If your two-year-old is a good swimmer because your Floridian, not a problem! They also have free lifejackets all over the place.

Great water park for littles (ages 4-9). They more than most waterparks when it comes to that age group. There are fast and tall waterslides for older kids. I love that they keep the ground wet with sprinklers so that your feet dont burn to and from water attractions. The wave pool is a great way to get around with multiple stops throughout the park.

First of all, I'm not a really big water-park guy, however we visited the two Disney water-parks in one day as a special request from my daughter. We have been coming to Disney since 2006 off and on and this was the first time we stopped in the Disney water parks. We even visited them before my FLORIDA friends (which I'm proud of). LOL! I loved the fact that you could visit both waterparks with no additional "hopping charge". The transition time was a 1/2 hour tops in our own personal car. It was actually cheaper to buy the tickets direct at Disney gate than any 3rd party. The hours however are only 10-5pm though. Towel rental is only $2 which to me is a Disney bargain. They trusted us to bring them to the other park and we put them in the return bin. I loved loved loved the lazy river in both water parks. Plenty of FREE tubes and yes, it did get crowded during the peak hour but it was still manageable. I noticed lots of leaves in the water by the end of the day but the water was still crystal clear. I really enjoyed how it went around the entire park so it was plenty large. Be prepared... you will get soaked but relaxed! I loved the extended cave at the Blizzard Beach. The typhoon lagoon lazy river was a bit warmer though. I went on two slides here. The first one with a tube was fun. They use a STOP light system here which is unique. The second was you lay face forward on a map. Me being slightly larger in mass and volume went down too fast and lost control and wiped out! Lost my glasses but a Disney cast member retrieved them out of the pool. In both water parks if you don't claim a chair with a towel right away FORGET IT. You may be out of luck! The chairs in my opinion need to be refurbished! The lounge chairs are not adjustable and looked dated in both parks. That had me thinking, do I really don't need a chair because I'm not paying $60+ to sit and read a book? If I want that I could do that at my resort and order a few tropical drinks and still be ahead. Lots of people do exactly that though. Maybe they are season pass holders? Maybe the parents after a long day at the 4 parks. My biggest disappointment that neither Blizzard Beach nor Typhon Lagoon seem to have that "Disney Magic" or feel. The blizzard beach itself was very impressive but that's about it... No characters, no Mickey Mouse, no photo pass people, as far as I'm concerned I could have been somewhere else. I wasn't a big fan of the SAND on the beach but it was Florida fine, wiped off easily, and that didn't bother me. They must have to replace it occasionally... Will we be back? probably not, the water park option on tickets usually raises the price... when I can just enjoy my resort but I will keep that in mind in 2017. It was fun!

Well I'm torn between the two water parks, I enjoyed blizzard beaches lay out more than typhoon lagoon but I found the wave pool annoying with all the tubes in it. However the slides were good and the place is empty at 6 which gave my students 2 hours of zero lines!!

The theme of the melting ski resort is a great idea, but it can definitely use a few improvements. The cement bottom of the pools is extremely rough, it actually scrapes your skin. Its also a little unorganized (?) maybe is the best term. The chairs are scattered everywhere, and the food stations seem to be few and far between. The ground gets VERY hot, which I know they probably can't help, but it is so uncomfortable. However there are a lot of slides to choose from, even though the lines take forever.
