Stumbled into this quaint spot while exploring Bellagio and decided to order their set lunch menu. It was a very cozy, home kitchen environment but I will say the food quality was okay for the price. While the plating was stunning, the flavors themselves were somewhat bland and incoherent. The dishes felt random and the taste was again, okay. Still would definitely recommend for the intimate experience!

I am absolutely amazed by this small restaurant in the small streets of Bellagio. The food was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere is very special, it’s very small yet so unique and comfy. I ordered the Beef Tartar with Salad, which is by far the best Tartar I’ve ever eaten since it’s incredibly tender and fresh. I also had the Roast Beef which was cooked to perfection; the meat was so tender it would melt in your mouth. The pasta with thick creamy sauce is also a delight, it’s tastes a bit like peanut butter. If you’re in Bellagio or even near the place, you definitely must go to this little neat restaurant!!!

Hands down one of the best dinner experiences we’ve ever had! For starters, getting a reservation at this restaurant is TOUGH and feels like a win all on its own - it is WORTH IT!!! The owners, chef and staff are all immensely knowledgeable and intimately aware of running a restaurant that is, I would say, “Italian omakase.” The food was fresh, flavorful, fantastic and things I never would have tried on my own. We got to sit at the middle family style table next to a group of Australians, Canadians and Americans (of which one of the couples happened to live a neighborhood over from us back home!). We bonded over wine, hilarious conversation and a desire to keep the party going even after dinner was done. I saw other reviews say this was the best restaurant in Bellagio to which I wholeheartedly agree - nothing came close. The experience alone was worth every penny. Wish I could selfishly gatekeep, but let’s be honest, this place must be shared! We can’t wait to come back, Dispensa 63 team!

I think this was the best meal I’ve ever had. And this is considering we didn’t like the main protein (wild boar), while the sauce and seasoning was perfect, the meat itself was odd. Otherwise, the 7 course menu was absolutely delicious, presentation was stunning. I opted for the 50€ wine pairing, but I regret it, as though they were all local wines, none were particularly marking. To improve, the only thing would be a choice of main, as I am sure I would have enjoyed any other meat a opposed to boar.

Dispensa 63 wasn’t just the best meal I have ever had. It was one of the most thoughtful and memorable experiences. From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were stepping into a home rather than a restaurant. The long wooden table, softly lit candles, hand written menus, dried flowers, and shelves of wine made the space feel warm and welcoming. But what truly made the night unforgettable were the people behind it. Martina, who is the heart and vision behind Dispensa 63, greeted everyone as if we were old friends. You could feel how much love and purpose she poured into every detail — from the way the room was set, to how each dish was introduced and shared. Another OG Martina curated all of the drinks with such care. While others enjoyed wine pairings, she made sure I never felt left out and created beautiful non alcoholic pairings just for me — herbal, sparkling, refreshing, and made with just as much intention as the wines. It meant more than she probably knows. And the Chef, quiet, focused, and unbelievably talented, a story through every dish. Each plate was intentional, seasonal, and layered with flavor. Nothing felt rushed or overly complicated, just honest, gorgeous food made with skill and soul. What makes Dispensa 63 so special is that it is not just about eating. You sit beside strangers, share stories, share delicious meals, and by the end of the night it feels like you have made friends. You taste the food, but you also feel the care behind it. I was nervous not knowing the menu before hand, but wow. Every dish was perfectly curated - from the salmon in green oil and kumquat, lasagna with wild rabbit, pumpkin gnocchi, beef cheek, and the pear crumble - you can taste how local and authentic everything was. 100x would come back whenever we are in Bellagio! It’s a must if you are staying in town.

Lunch at Dispensa 63 was a highlight of our stay on the lake. We love meals of samplings of differing dishes, be it dim sum, mezze or the family antipasti plate. Dispensa 63’s lunch brought this joy to a new level. Their mushrooms patè (portobello, porcini, finferli, champignon) was slightly nutty and addictive, goat cheese and sweet potato marinated was like candy and the creamy fish salad was a marinated slice of fish that was actually creamy in my mouth. I’ll spare you more of my descriptions but all the dishes surprised and pleased us. Service was friendly and at ease. The room relaxing in white and earth and woody tones. I wish we could pack Dispensa 63 in our suitcases and take it home.

We did the 7 course tasting menu and it did not disappoint! My wife is vegetarian, and they were very accommodating (just make sure you let them know before they serve the first course). I was worried about eating in downtown Bellagio because it is a tourist destination - but this place felt like it was for the locals. If you prefer a good view over good food, go elsewhere. But if you want an intimate atmosphere with amazing food and wine in the heart of the city, then I would highly recommend.

Pesto pasta, GF lasagna and artichokes- the GF lasagna was different it was more of a dough than pasta noodles it wasn't bad but I wouldn't recommend it. The pesto pasta had really good flavor, noodles were just a bit hard still. The artichokes were good, but they were just artichoke hearts so can't go wrong there really. They provided gf rice crackers which was nice.

A very busy and bustling restaurant located away from the waterfront in Bellagio. We were very lucky to get a table for lunch right away, because soon afterward all of the tables were full and there were many people waiting. We ordered a pizza, gnocchi, and the star of the show - cannelloni della nonna (this was one of my favorite entrees of the trip)! I get the feeling that the restaurant is a bit overwhelmed by this busy season but my group really had no complaints. The staff were perfectly friendly to us and provided great service. I would recommend this place for sure, but just be patient and prepared to wait!

This restaurant is quite exquisite. The lobster, ravioli and carbonara were amazing. You will not regret trying this restaurant. The ambience outside is quite wonderful even though you don't have a view of the lake. The service is very quick so you can explore Bellagio after.

Fantastic, local food in a lovely family setting. Service was very friendly. Reservations recommended as they fill up fast. Would definitely recommend and seek out again in Bellagio.

Great first stop in Bellagio, nice choices for our party of four and the wine selection was superb! Local and regional choices. Service was quick and food was served promptly.

Honestly, would not recommend. Overpriced low quality food. The bread basket was stale, the pasta was heavy. Everyone at the table agreed we chose a "tourist trap" place. There is a restaurant in Bellagio called Dispensa 63 where apparently they use local seasonal ingredients and the chef makes your food in an open kitchen in front of you. Unfortunately we heard of this restaurant too late, but if you want a better representation of Italian food, I would recommend checking them out.

DONT EAT HERE. It's heavy and tastes like mass produced crap. It's a tourist trap. Got the carbonara and the shrimp pasta. Both were awful and the pancetta was burnt. The complimentary bread was stale. Save yourself. This is a poor representation of true Italian food. Also, not that it really matters what the staff is like necessarily, but everyone who worked there did not say more than one word to us, not even our own server. And it was clear they were bummed to be there. Just an overall unpleasant experience. If you're used to eating at places like Applebees or TGIFriday's this spot is for you.

Great place to eat in Bellagio. We ordered the pear walnut salad, carbonara, ravioli, pistachio soufflé, and the chocolate pear dessert. The pear walnut salad was simple but refreshing as a starter. The carbonara was not as good as I thought.. too much egg yolk that made it too eggy. The ravioli was delicious and I definitely recommend the pistachio souffle and chocolate pear dessert. Service was slow but overall the food was great.

The food was ok but not at all what I expected or what i ordered. The staff did not care about my experience with their food. I ordered the ravioli which normally comes with a cream sauce. I asked if I could have it in a red, tomato sauce. They said yes to the red sauce but in stead of ravioli, what they brought back was tortellini in red sauce. I queried the waiter about it and stated I ordered ravioli. Instead of owning the mistake, the waiter tried to sell me on the idea that tortellini and ravioli are the same thing. I didn't argue the point but it was my last dinner in Bellagio and it was both frustrating to be lied to and was very disappointing as a final meal. I recommend going anywhere else in Bellagio to eat other than La Fontana , La Grotta or Nando were excellent. Don't waste your time with La Fontana.

Let me preface this by saying that we're in Bellagio in late July, that there's a worker shortage, and that Italy is having unprecedented numbers of tourists right now. In fact, my party of six discussed this at length last night over dinner at La Fontana. The discussion arose because we were taken aback by the rudeness of the host (and I believe, based on a conversation I heard him having at another table, the owner) and waitstaff. For example, when we first arrived I went inside to see if there was a waitlist. The owner yelled at me, "There is a line! Get in the line!" I responded, "I just wanted to see if there is a list," and he barked back, "There is no list! Get in line!" I should've left. When our food arrived (two orders of ravioli, a prosciutto and mushroom pizza, lasagna, fried seafood platter, meat and cheese board, roasted vegetables, a mixed salad, and chicken in a white wine sauce with ratatouille), we dug in. The results were mixed. About half of us liked our food but none of us thought it was exceptional. The worst meal by far was the chicken. The sauce was clumpy and the ratatouille was absolute mush. My 18-year-old son was hungry, though, so he scraped off the sauce and ate most of the chicken before giving up. It was by far the worst meal we've ever had in Italy (I've lived in Florence, we've been here on vacation or for work a dozen times). We didn't say anything. We knew the restaurant was working under difficult conditions. I heard the owner tell the table next to us that their day off is Thursday, so they'd been working hard for six days, and that they were especially busy because the restaurant next to them was closed. I heard a waitress snap at another table who had complained, "It's because we are so full!" We wanted to be accommodating and not make things worse by returning that awful chicken. But now my son has been in the bathroom for three hours throwing up that chicken. When he's not kneeling over the toilet, he's sitting on it. Saying something last night wouldn't have helped, as he'd already eaten a lot of it. So I'm saying something now. Don't go to La Fontana.

If you find yourself in Bellagio, find La Fontana Bellagio. It is not on the water and it does not have a view, but if you are a foodie, this is your place. I had a Pan­ca­cio pizza - Moz­za­rel­la fior­di­lat­te, sweet bacon, cacio­ca­val­lo chee­se, yel­low cher­ry toma­toes, and black pep­per. It was superb!

Walking by , La Fontana caught our eye early in the day, so we called later for reservations which, before they abruptly hung up, we were abruptly told they don't take. So we walked there and I walked past several outdoor dinners to put our party name on the wait list and was accosted by the owner and told roughly that there was no list and to get on line at the corner of the stairs. When a table became available we were seated and slightly rushed to order. The food was produced quickly and was not wonderful. My lasagna was ok, not great and my husband didn't eat more than half his ravioli (this is a man who EATS.) My grandson did not eat much of his dish and later that night got food poisoning-was up for hours sick. Dishes were cleared when were still eating and none of us wanted desert after such a disappointing experience- a real oddity in our family.

Amazing dinner in Bellagio. Best meal we have had on our visit to Italy thus far. The seafood here is amazing and the gnocchi is probably too 2 for all gnocchis I have ever had! To top it off they are super kid friendly and the owner took time to hang out with us and spend time with our 3 year old. Wait for a table outside and enjoy the wine on tap!

This shows their commitment to customer 'service' with name-calling, sarcasm, and snark. Let this be a warning to future diners!!! DO NOT SPEND YOUR EUROS here!

The older gentleman who speaks very good English was great!!! So friendly so helpful. we really tried to like the food, we tried so hard lol. We ordered pasta and both our dishes came out super quick which we thought it was a good thing.. nope, they both were tasteless.. and felt like reheated not fresh pasta, soooo sad for Italy, in our entire trip this year and our last years trip to Italy we never had experienced bad food.. sad we finally did. Every online place I went to had good and better than average reviews for this place, so I am even shocked!!!! So sad. Anyways, I want to think it was just our two dishes?... but we aren't coming back. If you're trying this place, good luck. It isn't extremely expensive but I am depressed we paid and tried to finish both dishes.... To not be rude because of how great the guy was, but.. we couldn't.

Our three generation party of 8 people ate here twice on a four night trip. Our second time they even stayed open late for us. The service is warm and welcoming and the food is absolutely delicious; from pizza to pasta to wine and beer, amazing! They exude Italian hospitality at this must-visit spot in the heart of Bellagio.

3.5 stars Pros: - Veal was super soft and perfectly cooked - Delicious rosé Cons: - We found the dishes good but overpriced for quality and quantity. - Spinach and ricotta ravioli lacked sauce and flavor (compared to other pictures of same plate on Yelp & Tripadvisor).

After Lake Como provided the worst meal of my Italian vacation (cough, Bilacus, cough), I was overjoyed to discover the friendly service and excellent flavors at La Fontana Bellagio. The decor isn't much to look at. Tables are packed pretty tightly. But the food delivers. I had a pesto penne (€9) that was pretty great. The pesto was creamier than most you'll encounter in Italy, but it was really nice. Penne was cooked perfectly. I followed that up with tagliata di manzo (steak, €20). When I ordered, they asked how I wanted it cooked. "Medium rare," I said. "Thank you for not killing it," the server said. Props for acceptable food snobbery/humor! The steak was delivered on a sizzling platter for some reason. That was kinda weird and unnecessary. It was cooked perfectly (take notes, you butchers at Bilacus). One real downer was that all the desserts seemed to be pre-made, sitting in a refrigerator in the dining room, each one covered in plastic wrap. We did not eat dessert, so I can't say if they were as disappointing as they looked. Our total bill was €71.50 for two people. On the higher side, sure, but the food hit the spot.

Pretty busy, good food. We didn't eat at another place but I would go back here. Food was fresh, I had the Carbonara and others with me had other pastas. Solid!

Recommended by a local as his favorite!! It did not disappoint. Great variety, lovely food and easy location to get to by foot. We went 3 times this week!!

I can't comment on the food, only the service. My wife and I were quickly seated and handed a menu. We were not in a hurry and we're happily conversing for about 10 minutes when we realized no one had come for our drink order or to give us water. We tried getting the eye of several waiters, to no avail. After 20 minutes we gave up and got up to leave. At that point a waiter came over and said "Sir, we don't do fast food". I responded " It's rude not to offer a guest a drink and to ignore them for 20 minutes, you guys are just standing around". His response was "We do not do fast food". Avoid this place

This place was a standout of our meals while in Italy for the last 2.5 weeks. The two brother owners work in the business and on the business! This is what makes the difference! The give attention to detail in both the food and service! The lasagna was the best my partner had in his life! thank you la fontana for making our last part of our trip so memorable.

Both of our daughter require gluten free and they were accommodating. Food was delicious. Highly recommend the fagioli soup!

Sought Fontana out after reading Fellow Yelper recommendations. Spot on. This place is fantastic. After a long morning on lake Como and shopping in Bellagio, Fontana provided the perfect setting for a late lunch in the tranquil surroundings the Italian lakes region is known for. Be prepared to be warmly greeted and seated promptly. Don't be put off if you need to wait 10 minutes for an outdoor table. Well worth any wait. Started with local specialty of buckwheat ravioli filled with dried beed, cabbage, and cheese. Sage butter sauce. Incredible as an app for two. Followed with fileto di manzo with porcini. Perfect med rare served on a sizzling plate. Also Duo of local trout and salmon filet with white wine. Tender and flaky, delicious. Menu is filled with local specialty dishes. This is a place to keep in your bookmarks. You'll want to return for sure.

The plus: cute decor and super friendly and welcoming staff. The food is beautifully presented. For travelers they all spoke English and are ready to provide recommendations. The downside: food was really salty. The only thing we had that wasn't too salty was the caprese. We had the homemade seafood paste and also the seafood carpaccio. Very unique but the tuna, anchovies, and yellowtail was hard to have given the salt level. The salmon and octopus was fine though.

Sadly the restaurant was probably exhausted from a summer of too many tourists ! Nothing good about it ! Sorry.

I had the most amazing seafood pasta dish I have ever had at this restaurant- if you are to get anything you get the mixed seafood pasta dish that's posted outside Holy amazing Seafood so fresh the pasta was homemade perfectly aldente sauce was perfection garlic not too sweet not too heavy Chicken Cesar salad was okay nothing extravagant- no tomatoes or anything just lettuce and chicken wish it had more veggies in it onions something Minestrone- lacked flavor needed salt - large portion Filled bread basket twice Hospitable speaks English great! We dined outside - prices good also a 2$ cover charge per person Side salad good portion fresh

Wonderful experience, perfectly cooked pasta. Delicious! Place was absolutely packed. Owner personally took our order and we fell I love with his charm. Our only disappointment was we got to experience 1 meal here. 5 stars - absolutely perfect

OUTSTANDING!! Our first time here (4 of us from USA) and everything was delicious and service was outstanding! Here are the dishes we ordered and ALL of them were outstanding! Salad Nicoise Pasta Fagiole Soup Pizza - artichoke, mushroom, ham, olive. Minestrone Soup Dessert- Award winning Pistachio Dessert Service was outstanding! Very welcoming environment.

Perfect spot nestled in the bellagio hillside. Food and atmosphere were both excellent. The peach Bellini was so refreshing and highly recommend! Very welcoming staff able to accommodate our large party with kids. Perfect lunch spot if you are in the area.

For such an high end place, the food was just mediocre. We ordered the Mediterranean Sea bass and it was rather disappointing

Definitely the best food we have had in Bellagio! The cannelloni is amazing and the "green gnocchi" is divine. Service is excellent as well. If you go with the house vino - red is better than white, but both are adequate. Overall, would definitely recommend hands down over all the other restaurants we have experienced here.

Our favorite restaurant on bellagio, no reservations taken, friendly, fast and delicious! We had capise salad, shrimp, pizza, veal chop, manicotti, spritz and mojitos hands down the best meal in bellagio! Best falvors and fast friendly service.

This place was so amazing, we went here twice while on our trip! The service was excellent and the food was our favorite in all of Italy! We sat inside the first visit and on the cute patio the second time - both were great experiences. The servers are friendly and did everything to make our dinner truly memorable. The Vino Della Casa (house wine) carafe was refreshing after a long day. The homemade ricotta and spinach cannelloni with cheese béchamel was truly delicious - hubby liked mine so much the first night, that's what he ordered the second night. The carbonara and lasagna were wonderful, too. Overall an excellent experience (twice) - would definitely recommend!

The perfect small lake town Italian restaurant. The owners serve you and are very present- they are truly excited about their food and talking to guests from all cultures. The minute we sat down we truly felt welcome. The restaurant itself is off a side street in the bellagio area near lake Como-- the lake itself is probably 40 steps down from the restaurant. To start we ordered 3 liters of the house white wine. Not only was it cheap at 13e a liter but it was lightly sparkling without being sweet. Almost like a Chardonnay prosecco. We then ordered and truly got a variety of options. 2 of the girls had a pear and walnut salad with fresh Parmesan, it was light and had a nice dressing. I ordered the carbonara pasta and it was oozing with flavor- nice and creamy with crispy prosciutto. Big portion. The real creme de la creme of this place was the desert. We didn't plan to order sweets but the owner came over and told us about how his friend in California owns a pistachio farm and ships him fresh pistachios every month. He takes them to the bakery next door which turns them into soufflé batter. The pistachio soufflé that we were served was one of the best deserts I have ever had!! The rest of our group then ordered a second helping. It wouldn't have been an Italian vacation without coming here. I would come back any time.

Mario and his team have opened the Gem of all restaurants in Bellagio! Staying in the area for 5 nites we ate 3 incredible meals at La Fontana. The Veal Milanese was the best I've had anywhere. Pastas, pizzas, and salads were amazing as well. Not only was the food and service superb, the prices were very reasonable! When you are in Bellagio do not miss out on this restaurant!!

Stopped by here for lunch after the ferry ride over from Varenna. The curry ravioli was interesting strong flavors and pasta was cooked al dente! The fountain prosciutto with cantaloupe was delicious! Sweet and salty, something I never had before and it was amazing! The lemon fish we got was very intense in flavor with that burst of citric sourness. To strong for my liking. The service was wonderful. They were on top of their game! 5 stars!

So far, this has been my favorite meal we've had in Bellagio. It was recommended by a local who has lived here for 26 years. She attested to the service and freshness of the seafood. We had the bruschetta, which was fresh but nothing extraordinary. The house white was perfecto-super light and crisp. We split the mixed seafood pasta, which was honestly one of the best dishes I've ever had. The pasta was perfect and the seafood was very fresh and not too salty. We shared a tiramisu for dessert, which was really delicious. The servers were very nice. It was busy so things were pretty slow, but we enjoyed the meal and ambiance tremendously.

Not doubt this is by far the BEST restaurant that we've been in Italy. The ambiance is incredible. The owner is suuuper nice and you should trust his recommendations. I got the spinach ravioli with gorgonzola sauce and walnuts. My husband ordered the pork loin with mushrooms and rosmery potatoes. Obviously tiramisu for dessert. OMG!!! Any word is short to describe this meal. Even the house wine was delicious!!!!! If you visit Bellagio you MUST go.

Really great flavorful food. We got the calimari risotto and lobster linguine and both were delicious. The risotto was cooked in cherry tomatoes and other herbs and veggies. The rice was harder than expected, but that may be due to the type of rice used. The lobster tasted as a lobster should, a little tough. The linguine had a strong wine and tomato flavor. Also had some veggies in it that went well with the dish. Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Wish we had gotten some of the local or lake fish dishes though!

Easy 5 stars! This was one of our favorite meals during our whole trip to Italy! In fact we thought about going twice. The food was all amazing, literally everything that we ordered! Bruschetta, bresola and goat cheese, baked gnocchi, ravioli, baked cannelloni, shrimp scampi, chicken marsala. On top of it all Mario one of the owners served and multiple times checked in on us. He even let us try the pistachio dessert which was also, you guessed it amazing! Great service all around and it's so nice to eat at a place where the owners are there taking care of you! Would recommend to everyone!

Amazing. Right away we were greeted with Mario. He provided exceptional service and gave us great recommendations on what to eat. For the antipasti try the bundle of bresaola with goat cheese. For the first courses the green gnocchi and the ravioli with Gorgonzola sauce. Come here for a delicious meal and great service !

We had been looking for some real Italian food. Venice disappointed but La Fontana in Bellagio delivered. Friendly service, amazing food and great ambiance, what else do you need?

Second time here while in Bellagio and this place is wonderful. Mario knows his business well and it is a delight to eat in his establishment. You really cannot go wrong with any of the menu items. The service is also outstanding. We enjoyed the ravioli, lasagna, minestrone, bruschetta, pesto penne, carbonara and even steak. We were a group of 18 and we felt like family eating with Mario and his staff. This is the best meal you can have in Bellagio.

Very glad we found this amazing restaurant. Great service, homemade, delicious food and the owners make you feel at home. We had the lasagna and the spinach ricotta ravioli which was absolutely fenomenal. The insallatona de la casa was extremely good as was the homemade tiramisu. We will return. Highly recommend reservations as this place quickly fills up.

This is a fabulous restaurant! We read reviews and decided to try it and it didn't disappoint us. Mario the owner gave us excellent service. We love the seafood pizza, the scampi gnocchi, ravioli and the pasta. We went to the restaurant 3 days in a row. Everything is so tasty and best Italian food we had!
