The Best Montreal Microbreweries and Craft Beer Bars | Eater Montreal

"This small microbrewery with just a few brewing tanks livens up recently renovated Prince Arthur with its growing and ever-changing list of scrumptious beers on tap or by the can. Enjoy a flight or pint on their expansive new terrasse out front, or in their renovated interior either at the bar or at tables in the back." - Eater Staff

Great beers with the option for flights. Lovely olives too. Nice outside seating to sit and watch the world go by. If I'd had more time I'd have visited again!

Google
Great vibe. The outdoor seating area, collection of games and live feed video from an Eagles nest in Big bear make this a perfect first stop on a night out. Recommend the Festbier lager

In love with the vibe in here, very eclectic...even the washroom is exciting to look at! The bartender was very friendly, and the beer amazing. A great spot for a pint or two.

I had a great time at the microbrewery recently. The outdoor seating area was inviting, although indoor seating options were a bit limited. The staff's expertise stood out as they assisted in choosing the right beer style for my taste. The beers were not only tasty but also refreshing, making for a perfect drink on a warm day. It's important to note that they don't serve full meals, but they offer prepacked snacks like salty cheese, chips and tortillas to accompany your drinks. If you're looking for a relaxed setting with excellent beer options, this microbrewery is a solid choice.

Don't expect service unless you speak French. I sat at the bar and waited patiently. Other people came in and she helped them but since I'm polite, I didn't say anything. She knew I was there. After 10 minutes of this, she looked at me and grabbed a sandwich and started eating it. I couldn't take it anymore and got up and left. As a craft beer enthusiast, I was really looking forward to spending some time here but it was not to be. Unfortunately, this place only reinforces the discrimination that people are afraid of when consider visiting Quebec and Montreal.

Good vibes. Not a full full range of beer options but enough. And with options for a self glass or bigger pitcher. Also love music and patio seating for good vibes.

Decided to grab a pint here with a small group of 7. We just fit in the tiny corner by the bar. It's really intimate here. The music is chill. Its sort of romantic, while being a dive mess. I enjoyed the plants on the wall and the beer was very good. They had a nice variety of of about 8 types of beer but only one flight was available for the whole bar. My least favorite part was the bathroom. Service was good, I didn't try any food.

A variety of really great beers to choose from. Popular place and available space inside and outside.

Yelp
Very charming little place with nice outside seating area. Taste wise, it was just okay. Service was nice and professional. I am not a beer person, so my limited knowledge said they were pretty good.

Yelp
Our first craft brewery place to visit in Montreal. B got the Nikita and Kataryna. The beer on tap changes occasionally. There isn't much indoor seating because the brewery is very small. B and I ended up sitting outside on the benches that were setup. It was somewhat romantic with the hanging lights. The benches were in a good layout so it didn't feel like it was too crammed etc. Definitely a great place to have a gathering with friends on a hot day. Server was very friendly. B said the beer was pretty good. He said it was not too hoppy and yes it was definitely better than most craft brewery from BC (where we are from). He was impressed. He said he would go back for sure. I have to say Montreal has some really good craft brewery and you know that they don't cut corners like many of the craft brewery back home in BC that is why their flavor is much more apparent and the beer itself is less hoppy.

Yelp
Can't speak for indoor seating, we grabbed & go'd; but, boy, am I glad we did! Cardamom infused beer? A married-to-indian woman's dream! Hubz went for the New Zealand IPA. Took his hazy smile as his nod of approval. Sure, the price isn't quite right, but that's craft local brews for you-- you're in the wrong hobby if you don't like to pay a pretty penny for it. I love love the growler jars they have, and wish Hubz would've read my mind to get one-- you win some, you lose some. PS- it's located on a super cute public square where I wish I would've sat to enjoy it. PSS- walk here, parking prevented us from having the full experience.

Yelp
No actual seating, you're coming for a to-go bottle that's probably about 3ish pints that costs $12, and you get $2 back if you return the bottle. They're open everyday from about 11am-??. They have some pretty cool arty tags for each beer that you can keep as a souvenir which is pretty rad. We went with 2 different IPA's. We preferred their special hoppy Indian vs their west coast style, although both were good. They had what seemed like 5-6 varieties at the time and all brewed onsite in this somewhat small space/brewery on this man drag; hell yeah! Way to maximize space and I love this business model. Overall, looking for some locally brewed, hyper fresh beer in the 'hood? Skip the six pack from the bodega and support this local spot!

Yelp
I finally stopped after running by here a million times and I'm super glad. I've been hoping the microbrewery scene would grow here and I'm happy this one is close to where I live. We tried the passion fruit Gose and the Shark Triple. Both were good. The triple was sneakily 10% but didn't feel overly heavy. The Gose was my favorite of the two and a bit sweet but not in a bad way. One of the better iterations of a passion fruit beer that I've tried. They were $10 + $2 bottle deposit. They're take out only but sometimes there's picnic benches on Prince Arthur or a Park at the end of it if you want to grab some food and have a cold picnic. Glad they are here and I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
huge place, both indoor and outdoors. bar tenders are cool. the place itself seems really laid back. i wasnt too impressed with the beer, but maybe that was the time of the year - they werent brewing anything i liked. this seems like a great place to come with big groups. they have a small food menu, apparantly the panini are good. i had the pretzel, which was okay, but they dont make it in house - its frozen.

Yelp
These guys rock !! They have super fresh beer, different varieties and it's very good quality. You have to buy the bottle of 1 liter for $12, it includes a $2 deposit. They do not have beer on tap, you have to buy the bottle but they will loan you glasses so you can drink that precious nectar on-site, sitting on a bench on the street as you watch people pass by. The customer service is very friendly. Take a break from the stuff you buy at the convenience store, come here and taste some kick-ass freshly-brewed beer, you'll keep coming back over and over.

Yelp
They sell home-made brew, different types, the beer is very good and it's inexpensive, you can fill four beer mugs with a $10 bottle, you pay $12 but get $2 back when you return the bottle. The customer service is friendly and they will give you disposable cups to drink your beer on-site if you want, so you won't look like a lush drinking straight from the beer and keep some dignity. LOL !!!
