Visiting DC. Just walked in asked for seats. Got great service. Drinks were fabulous. Food was good. Tuna tacos were delicious. PEI mussels also great. Great place to get a reasonable priced dinner served hot and with great service.

This is a very affordable restaurant given the DC area pricing. They do have a kids menu although it is not advertised. They have daily specials. Happy hour is everyday. The service was a little disorganized but very friendly and helpful. Portion sizes are very large. Even the appetizers and children 's portions are plenty. Follow us for more great reviews™

We rented the whole restaurant for my daughters 28th birthday. Miguel and his team were AMAZING! He put together a 3 course menu that was delicious. The drinks were great. They made custom menus, had fresh flowers on the table and candles. The atmosphere was perfect. I can not say enough about our experience and how wonderful it was. The staff was so nice and took very good care of us. I would 100% recommend District Kitchen and look forward to going there again soon.

Google
District Kitchen hosted a private event for my corporate business dinner of 45 people, and it was a huge success! I cannot complement Miguel and his staff enough. We had a three-course limited menu and absolutely everything came out prepared perfectly. Food and open bar was very reasonably price. I asked to hire three-piece jazz combo that DK usually has in on Friday nights. They were a hit, too. My business hosts this dinner once a year in various cities around the U.S. Many of our attendees pulled me aside and said this was the best event we've hosted. Thanks again to District Kitchen! I highly recommend for private events!

Google
I really enjoyed my experience at District Kitchen! With a couple conferences going on nearby they were very busy! I appreciated the team work of the staff -- multiple staff members checked on me, refilled my drink, and otherwise helped me throughout my dining experience. I got the $45 3 course fixed menu which was a good deal for everything! I got the Arancini to start, as they were out of the lamb dumplings and they were tasty! My main, the salmon risotto, was SO GOOD. A nice size salmon filet, perfectly spiced and cooked, served over a delicious risotto. I took the tiramisu to go and it was a perfect late night snack. I would definitely dine here again!

Google
We really enjoyed this place. We had the fried chicken sandwich, salmon toast, and 2 egg breakfast. All were good. Service was great. I would definitely recommend this place.

Google
I'll start by saying delicious! Came by this restaurant twice in a week while my org was having our conference in the area. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of all the options. The first time we visited we had the restaurant to ourselves for our conference attendees. The service and atmosphere was great. The modern decor and space makes it for great place to visit with friends or for date night. Since we visited twice they were plenty of things I got to try off of the menu, we had the mac and cheese, the salmon risotto, the roasted chicken breast, tomato basil bisque, brussels sprouts, 3 cheese plate, burger and fries, vanilla creme brulee, and the ice cream and brownie. All of the food was delicious and flavorful. The stand outs for me were the chicken breast, brussels sprouts and tomato basil bisque. The drinks were also tasty and strong. Overall the experience was great and the food delicious. I will definitely return!

Google
We hosted a rehearsal dinner at District Kitchen and were beyond thrilled with the event ! The staff was warm and welcoming and elevated the event with their professionalism and care. The menu provided had a variety of selections that were flavorful, sophisticated, and covered a range of needs for our guests. The drinks menu was creative and well thought out. Miguel and his team let us bring our own touches to the space and gave us plenty of time and information so we could be prepared. Cannot say enough good things about this place and would highly recommend anyone to host their event at District Kitchen !!

Yelp
This was a great experience for restaurant week. Food and service was very good. You got to pick an appetizer, a entree, and desert. I got lamb dumplings, paella, and Tiramisu. All were good. The lamb dumplings were fried well very crunchy yet lamb was tender. Well seasoned tasted good paired with the goat cheese to balance the savory flavors. Paella was served in a cast iron pan very temperature hot. Had good flavor and seafood was cooked well. It just needed some spiciness to take it to the next level. The tiramisu was rich and flavorful but not too sweet. Great casual restaurant with good food and service.

Yelp
My work recently hosted a retirement party at District Kitchen and DK's team was exceptional and attentive to make sure the event ran smoothly. DK helped us organize an event that met our budget and from start to finish they were easy to work with. Drinks and food were delicious. Many of our guests commented that they really enjoyed the food and ambiance. Our event was supposed to end at 9pm but we had a few people linger behind catching up and DK was accommodating and flexible about letting us stay a bit longer. We would consider hosting future events here again. Thank you for everything District Kitchen!

Aubrey W.

Yelp
I recently visited District Kitchen for brunch and was extremely impressed with the exceptional quality of the food. Although a little pricey, this is definitely worth the spurge. I ordered the shrimp and grits ($23), which was exceptional. The sauce was spicy and incredibly flavorful, and paired perfectly with the cheesy grits. I also enjoyed the addition of corn and andouille sausage. The shrimp were firm and perfectly cooked. Creamy, spicy, and indulgent, this was a brunch dish for the books. The portion was also very large. The service was a bit slow, but I know Saturday brunch shifts can be short staffed. However, the wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our meal. We sat outside on their patio, which was sparse but serviceable. However, the design of the interior of the restaurant looked very homey and warm. The restaurant is also very close to the Woodley Park metro stop, making it very accessible via public transit. Overall, would highly recommend this restaurant in the Woodley Park area of DC!

Eric M.

Yelp
So I ended up in Washington DC and looking for a place to eat. After looking at the menu, it seemed like a decent place to try. The people that were seated outside seemed to be enjoying themselves and that aided in my decision. After having been sat outside, I noticed a sign that said something about their Mamosa special. So I thought, "summer day in Washington... Sitting outside... Mimosas... ". What could be better? Not in the mood for a heavy meal, we ordered a couple of appetizers and they all were delicious. I am not sure if it was the atmosphere... Or the weather... Or the drinks... Or the food... but if you were ever in Washington DC on a sunny day and want to sit in a shaded area and watch people go by while having delicious food and drinks, this place is for you! I would definitely recommend.

Daniel R.

Yelp
If you're looking for a tasty brunch in Woodley Park, look no further! This reasonably priced and delicious brunch spot in the heart of the Connecticut Avenue Woodley Park business district is great for a lowkey meetup with friends. We began with the Brussels sprouts, which were a sweet and savory surprise! They were roasted instead of fried, giving them a nice soft exterior. Our brunch entrees were good too. I especially loved the shrimp and grits, filled with plump shrimp and tasty sausage for a very reasonable price. The noise level is pretty high in here, which may not be the vibe for a rough Sunday morning. But the experience was great! Definitely worthy of a recommendation.

Darren G.

Yelp
So the menu does not make a lot of sense as it is limited and they have a lot of breakfast items like eggs. The brussel sprout appetizer is GREAT. The mac and cheese app lacks flavor. Decent place overall but nothing special.

Kelly M.

Yelp
5 stars based on visiting for brunch with a group of 10. Many of us did the brunch deal, but you can also order Ala carte (one mimosa is $8). The brunch deal is a ton of food and mimosas. Three flavors for mimosas and you can rotate! Mango was my fav, also fun to get strawberry! I LOVED the burata salad. It was so fresh and delicious. The salmon Benedict was only ok as far as Benedict's go. The eggs were cooked so the yolk was solid. I didn't mind since I was full from the salad already and the smoked salmon and side salad with it were good. My group definitely plans to brunch here again.

Ro R.

Yelp
Maya is the absolute best!!! And Britney cae in with a bang!!! Wanna have a great time, come here!!!

Yelp
We visited District Kitchen with friends Saturday before visiting ZooLights and had a good visit. We had a reservation and were quickly seated upon arrival. They had a 3 course fixed price where you could choose a starter, main and dessert for $40. I ordered the 3 course so my husband and I could share an appetizer and dessert, and he ordered an extra entree. For a starter, we had the calamari. Sadly, the calamari was a bit over cooked, but the dipping sauce was good. For my entree, I got the mussels & fries, and they were delish! They give you a very large portion of muscles in a very flavorful green curry sauce. They also give you bread which I dipped in the sauce as well. The fries were also great. They were very crispy and were seasoned. My husband loved his lamb gnocchi entree. He said it was filling and flavorful. The brownie sundae was our dessert of choice, and it left a lot to be desired. The brownie had more of a dry, cake-like texture. Overall, the entrees and the service was good. Expected a bit more from the appetizer and dessert. We might visit again if we are back in the area.

Yelp
Boss took several us to dinner here when in town for a conference. Terrific location, nice space, lovely menu. Our poster session ran late so we were HUNGRY when we arrived. So we bypassed any apps and went straight to entrees. I had the steak frites. They did a nice job making sure this nice cut of meat was cooked to order (rare). Attentive service without being intrusive.

Julia A.

Yelp
Great food and great service. The staff were very attentive and super accommodating to my mom, who is gluten and dairy free. The salmon risotto was delicious.

Terry M.

Yelp
Don't sleep on this place. Pleasantly surprised at how well they are. Ordered delivery from here and was wowed at how flavorful and fresh their food was. Especially after it was delivered. I've yet to dine in, but so good. Meatloaf was with ketchup, and not gravy which is how my mother made it. Yum. I'm

Beatrice K.

Yelp
This was the perfect spot for Brunch. We had a reunion brunch. DK was perfect for a group outing. The brunch menu with unlimited mimosa is the best way to go. Drinks were delicious and the food did not disappoint!

Yelp
Since I moved to DC in August 2022, I've had brunch at several different restaurants throughout DC and like to try a new place every time. This weekend, I brought 6 of my visiting friends to District Kitchen for our first time there. This may have been the best brunch I have EVER had -- including for all of DC, Baltimore, and New York. I don't usually write reviews but this place deserves it. I had no problem making a reservation in advance online. I was running about 10min late but the staff was very understanding when I called ahead to let them know. I had seen their online brunch menu that claimed for $40 per person EACH PERSON gets bottomless mimosas, an entree, AND their own (or to share) appetizer (or dessert) all included for that price!! I honestly did not believe it until the staff confirmed when we got there. The food was all divine and the portions were generous. We were given bottomless mimosas for 2hours and the staff kept diligently refilling pitchers of orange, mango, and strawberry mimosas for the allotted time. The environment was chic, welcoming, clean, comfortable, and in a great area. Little dinosaur figurines welcomed us at our table. It really couldn't have gotten better. Big or small group -- the prices, quality, and overall experience here seem unbeatable. After my group had a nice buzz and full stomachs we took a stroll 2 blocks to the zoo! I've made a point to keep varying brunch places in search of the best spot. I know I'll be back to District Kitchen!

Naria W.

Yelp
A hidden GEM!! Came for brunch with friends and had a great time. DK has an amazing brunch deal, bottomless mimosas plus a main course and an app or dessert for $35. Such a steal and the food is amazing and they aren't stingey at all with the mimosas. I had a maple sausage egg benedict which was so yummy and came with a bright simple and equally tasty side salad. I finished brunch with bread pudding which was incredible!! The mimosas come with a choice of juice: guava, pineapple, cranberry or orange. Our waitress was so kind and mixed a pitcher of 3 different juices for us. The service was really excellent. Our server was super nice and attentive. The ambience was great too. The spot is very no frills but they play great music and it's not super crowded or loud so you can hear everyone talk. Definitely coming back and 100% recommend the bread pudding, such a great bite! My entire table really enjoyed their meals and overall experience.

Abagayle H.

Yelp
Great music great ambiance great service! Had easily some the best Mussels I've tasted on the East Coast served in the most delicious sauce (green curry). Also if you enjoy good wine they served a superb Argentinian Merlot.

Erica B.

Yelp
The food was great, but the service is terrible! It took us over 2 hours to get the food and bill. I think slow service is a thing in DC because noone else seemed phased by the slow service.

B G.

Yelp
Really nice waitstaff tended to us for a Sunday lunch (we didn't go for the brunch but it's a good deal for those who like mimosas). I had a breakfast sandwich with fluffy scrambled eggs and perfect stage avocado in a beautiful brioche bun. Yum. My partner had a lamb hash with sunny side up eggs. Not a bite of it stayed uneaten. Delish. An advertised burrata salad was served with mozzarella instead (we were warned). It was fine but nothing special and underseasoned. Place started getting lively by 1 PM. Overall a solid brunch place.

Ang K.

Yelp
Pretty good brunch with bottomless mimosas. We were able to get one appetizer, one entree, and the mimosas. There was also an option to switch appetizer with dessert. The server was nice and service was good. The appetizers were good, calamari and tuna poke were the best. I got the BEAT sandwich which was a good breakfast sandwich. There were fries or tater tots, or fruit I think. Pretty quiet Saturday brunch with socially distanced tables.

Yelp
On my final night in DC my family member, a colleague, and I decided we wanted to eat somewhere outside our nearby hotel and after some searching found District Kitchen. We showed up on a Friday night and despite not having a reservation we were seated fast. Our server, Maia was with us fast and she was friendly the whole time, despite her being the only waitress serving outside. It seemed quite a few customers came and spoke to the who I believe was the owner, they were all on a first name basis with him, which made me excited as that is usually a good sign. I ordered a burger, and the others ordered gnocchi and salmon respectively. Our food took some time, but the restaurant was busy so it was expected, but when it did come out everything was delicious. My burger was perfectly cooked and the fries were amazing. Everyone else loved their food too, and the prices were totally reasonable for the area. Overall the meal was great and I'll be coming back for sure next time my travels bring me to DC.

Tyler V.

Yelp
Maia was amazing - we had the best brunch EVER. The service and foood and drinks were amazing and the ambiance was great. 10/10 recommend

Chris H.

Yelp
The lamb hash is exceptional. It has the right amount of sausage, red peppers, and potatoes. Order an extra piece of toast so you get all of the good bits.

Guillermo H.

Yelp
The food was amazing, the service was amazing. $45 for bottomless brunch + an appetizer and main. Ask for Maya as your server

Zoya G.

Yelp
I really love this place. It's got nice chill atmosphere. The food is always delicious. I especially love the ceviche and the salmon risotto. And on Friday nights they have the most adorable little jazz band. It's our Friday night go to spot.

Pamela D.

Yelp
What a great surprise this cosy unique restaurant in a quiet area of DC. We needed a last minute breakfast spot for a party of 6 and they were very accommodating. The food was delicious we had shrimp and grits, chicken sandwich, lamb sausage and they even specially made a bowl of pasta for one of the children. We all voted the calamari much better than the fancy place in DC. Pleasant waitstaff! I only wish we had had time for the bottomless Mimosas!

Kristine S.

Yelp
We had the perfect rehearsal dinner, for our son's wedding, at District Kitchen. We had the whole place for our guests, the menu had just enough choices and the food and drinks were excellent. The place has a great vibe and the staff was super attentive. The guests LOVED it. Thank you District Kitchen for a great night in DC!! Highly recommend!!

Kamou M.

Yelp
This was a pleasant surprise for a delicious dinner with healthy options. It had been maybe 20 years since dining on this strip and if memory serves me this location. Not sure it it was under the same name then but the current spot is well worth a return trip. Especially nice metro friendly location and setting.

john s.

Yelp
Decent food but really subpar service. I had the paella and my wife had a beet salad and potstickers. I tried the potstickers and found them to be very average, nothing spectacular. But the real problem was the service. After our food arrived, no one came to check on us until we were finished eating. Following up shortly after service is a cardinal rule in service 101. Halfway through my plate my drink from the bar was finished and I was running out of water. My wife and I surely would have ordered one or two more drinks from the bar so the final bill was probably at least 30 short of what it could have been. Good luck running a business that way.

Rebecca C.

Yelp
12/31 We have made DK our New Years dinner for the past 3 years. This year (2020) was extremely underwhelming. Service was a miss, maybe they were getting ready to go home. The lump crab and grilled corn (no corn), this was actually the best thing we had for the night as well as the Malbec (Santa Julia, update your online wine menu plz!) We ordered the mozzarella and saffron arancinis, the cornmeal was too thick, the mozzarella fell right out when cut in half, the aioli wasn't a great blend; heavy on the mayo. Being this is our third year, we kept tradition with ordering the Seafood Paella. Something was off this time around. They must have put two hand fulls of peas because that's all that was remembered. We like peas but there is a such thing as too much. It took away the flavor from the dish making it a bit earthy. I had to pick peas out from each scoop, respectively spit some peas out, and leave a pile of peas on my plate! It became funny at that point. The daily fish (I think was sea bass or halibut) and shrimp were way over cooked. The bread was different. Simply put, this meal just wasn't it. We aren't sure what happened, it left us wondering if we'd come back for the next new year.

Van V.

Yelp
Near the Marriott Wardman Park where we three were attending a multi day conference. We wanted cocktails and light bites, and we agreed this did the trick. We have all been to better gastropubs but we appreciated this was close by and reasonably reviewed on Yelp. Service at first way too slow. Then picked up. Indoor and outdoor seating. Drinks were fine. Menu options fine. We shared crab apps with avocado and shrimp ceviche. I would get a burger if returning (burger and fries looked better at this place). Nothing wowed me but I personally was ok with our overall experience here. This is on a lively stretch of Connecticut Avenue with other eateries and convenience stores, very easy for conference attendees to take a break. And that is a plus.

Christle N.

Yelp
Stopped after trip to the zoo. Wonderful service, my water cup never went empty. Enjoyed the Passion V and the Red Sangria with the 3 Cheese appetizer (would've preferred crackers to the bread). Would come back if I'm in the area to try their entrees.

Cat H.

Yelp
We were super lucky to find this place. We had actually tried to get into three other places for dinner. The place is super cute and service was excellent. We ordered a bunch of things to share like a Buratta salad, crab toast, paella, desserts, and cocktails. Everything was delicious. Four of us ate and drank for $35 each including tax and tip. This place is not cheap, but we were not displeased with what we received and the price. Will definitely be back on our next visit.

Yelp
Passed this Woodley Park restaurant many times on way to and from downtown so finally decided to try it for bunch. On an early Sunday morning it was not very busy but had a steady stream of customers in small and large groups. There is a pleasant patio out front with big umbrellas and sectioned off with potted plants on the fairly wide sidewalk. The small dining room with a bar in the back has the contemporary decor of stressed bare brick walls and dim industrial style lighting but furnishings showing a bit of age - tears in the vinyl banquette seats and the tired looking cork table tops detract from a positive first impression. However if you are looking for a filling meal, home cooking style, you've come to the right place, as the food is well prepared and in substantial portions. We had the Woodley Way (eggs any style with ham etc) and brisket hash. The hash with chunks of potato and beef was more like a stew but quite flavorful, the ham slices thick and juicy, definitely a cut above the usual fare elsewhere. Service was good, orders came quickly, and the water carafe on the table was a preferable way for easier refilling. A decent neighborhood restaurant with reasonable prices good for everyday dining but could be made more attractive with some interior upgrades.

James M.

Yelp
Maia was the kindest waitress! The food was amazing and the vibes were *chefs kiss* - highly recommend! Will definitely be coming back very soon

Layla R.

Yelp
Service was incredible!! Food was so good! Vibes & ambiance was incredible! Miya was the best server ever and I can't speak highly enough of this place

Victoria P.

Yelp
Maia was the best waitress I've ever had. So amazing and kind and generous. Will come back just to see her!

Lauren G.

Yelp
Amazing food where do I begin! Our server Maya was outstanding, attentive and helpful. The food was hot and quick to come out. Everything we tasted was beyond tasty. We both got the bottomless mimosa brunch which was a great deal and it came with an appetizer and an entree. We split the Mac and cheese, brussel sprouts, shrimp and grits and the salmon with tots!! Again everything was so good and I am already planning my return! Also A + for making me feel safe during the pandemic they had great outdoor seating and all servers were wearing masks and provided sanitizer.

Jose P.

Yelp
We used to come to District kitchen when we lived closer. Now that we are closer to DuPont circle we don't stop by as often. However, I have always liked this place. Service is good, drinks are great, and the food is great too. One of my favorite drinks that I thought was well done at District Kitchen was the old fashioned. Part of their secret was they make there own cherries and bitters. If you are into old fashions you should definitely try it here. On this particular occasion we were in the area and just wanted to stop for a drink and a break before continuing our journey. We had gin and tonic. They were fine but nothing special. Their gin selection was very small so we went with Bombay. Since Covid things have changed, but the space is still great and I believe so is the food. The service has always been great.

Lynette H.

Yelp
Perfect first date spot great atmosphere, great service and great food! They have variations for all eating styles and preferences. Absolutely worth a try.

Darla S.

Yelp
Since April 2022 I've enjoyed going to DC to eat at the District Kitchen. I especially enjoy Gnocchi & Lamb Ragu. However, this time I was sorely disappointed that the chef substituted lamb sausage instead of fresh stew lamb , due to the cost of the lamb. I posit, that some things are worth the price hike. Please remove the sausage and return expeditiously to the tender lamb stew that previously heighten my Pilate. Note to chef - the dish is worth the extra cost. Next time I will give 5 stars once you return to the original Gnocchi & Lamb Ragu recipe. No sausage lamb please!

Shelby L.

Yelp
Omg amazing place. We ended up waiting a little bit for our entries due to some kitchen mixup but the food was great. I had the endless brunch with appetizer, sandwich, and endless mimosas. I initially ordered a manga mimosa, which was great, and then the strawberry which was ok. I also had the burrata salad. Omg this salad was everything. I wish I had somewhere at home to order this salad. It was delicious. For my entire, I ordered the breakfast sandwich with no meat and extra avocado. I only ate it with one bun (watching my carbs) and got it with a side of fries. Divine. All the food was great. I was definitely feeling the mimosas later too! Will definitely revisit

Colleen G.

Yelp
Amazing service and great environment, huge portions for the pre fixe menu! Highly recommend!

Aaron S.

Yelp
Any place that has happy hour 7 days a week is a winner for me and District Kitchen has this as well as great food, drinks, and staff. The bar area is small, but if you could snag a seat at the bar during the daily happy hour from 5 to 7 PM, you are in for a treat at a major discount. Happy hour prices are not available in the dining room, only at the bar. I like how the menu changes slightly seasonally and the standard dishes are extremely solid. I've tried literally every item on the happy hour menu as well as a couple entrées and can say it is a true culinary delight. Did I mention the happy hour prices? What a great way to sample dishes and save money. Highly recommended, but only if you save me a seat at the bar. Enjoy!

Edidiong D.

Yelp
Nice outside seating, great food, awesome waiter. Plus is their happy hour, drinks could be a little stronger; nonetheless, solid choice.

Katrina S.

Yelp
District Kitchen is a great brunch in Woodley Park. I will warn you that it can get extremely busy, so if you can, you should make a reservation. That is the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. However, now that I know I need to make reservations ahead of time, it makes things much easier. I reason I keep going back is, because the food is so fresh and full of flavor. I've made sure to try different dishes each time I go and I'm never disappointed. This is a must-try place if you're in Washington, D.C.

Kseniya K.

Yelp
Came here on a beautiful Thursday evening, around 6pm. Outdoor seating area was filled, and we were lucky to grab the last open table. Such a treat to sit outside and enjoy the sunset with your meal. Definitely recommend dinning outside while people watching in this quaint part of the city. Plenty of seats inside though, for those who prefer to sit indoors. Good service, friendly waiters, who don't rush you to evacuate valuable table real estate during busy times. My bf and I got the $35 pre-fix diner option. Great value for three courses! Mac and cheese ($8 if ordering separately from pre-fix option): forgettable, not much cheese or flavor. Definitely go for something more adventurous, like the lamb and goat cheese dumplings ($12). Five crispy fried dumplings--a huge portion for an appetizer! Really delicious--so, so, so juicy inside. Comes with yellow chili & cilantro dipping sauce. Definitely wasn't expecting this to be soooo good. A must try--you'll love everything about this seemingly simple, but flavor-complex dish. 8oz Flat Iron Steak Frites ($23) with Fries, red wine & wild mushroom demi glace. This was delicious! The piece of meat was huuuge--looked much bigger than the standard 8oz. I request it done medium--was well cooked and juicy. Enjoyed my well-seasoned cut of meat, unable to finish it all. Tasty red wine reduction sauce. Fries were salty and plentiful. Solid entrée. Pan Seared Shrimp ($21) with Jalapeno-cheddar polenta, andouille sausage, tomatillo salsa. Hearty portion, bright flavors, well-seasoned and on the spicier side. Key lime pie ($9): a worthy conclusion of our sumptuous meal. Perfectly balanced sweet and sour custard. Perfectly crunchy crust. I died and went to heaven. Will be back and recommend to check out this casual but great bang for your buck restaurant!

Steve R.

Yelp
Wife and I tried to eat here twice and though the room was half empty both times, they smugly said they were booked solid. Make a reservation if you must go. Or go to macintyres across the street - lots of drafts and pub food

Savi D.

Yelp
Wherever I'm in DC I'm akaTs in the Woodley Park area. It's very close to various areas I like to go to. Well today I along with two other individuals decided to go out for lunch. Well of course it's Saturday and bottomless mimosa were definitely wanted so we came to District Kitchen. The food was excellent and so were the drinks is. The venue isn't really big but big enough for guest to be seated comfortably while we ate. I opted for the Tw egg,Woodley with bacon, wheat toast and potatoes.. it was delicious!!! Definitely will be going back !!!

Stacey G.

Yelp
Came here for dinner. I did notice our waitress and another waiter explained different specials. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp dish; he loved it! I ordered the half salmon dish (3 ounces of salmon); it was expensive for the size. It was a small piece of salmon but had a large portion of the veggies. The salmon was slightly overcooked but the dish was still very good! We ordered the half order mac and cheese - it wasn't great to be honest, it lacked a lot of flavor. I also thought that it was on the smaller size. We also ordered the cashew broccoli side; it was delicious. I like that they have an option for half and full portions. We will probably be back. They have a great menu, good food, and good service.

Tairyn A.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place on my way to the Zoo. We took the Metro and District Kitchen is right next to it. We came in not expecting much, just a hot meal and a cup of coffee on a cold day. We were pleasantly surprised. It was around 3:00 pm they were still serving brunch but I opted for a grilled chicken sandwich that came with a salad. I also got home fries. It was great. I will dare say it is the best grilled chicken sandwich I have ever had. And I eat a lot of them! It was served on a pretzel bun with some sort of relish made with cabbage, avocado and dijon. Man that was good!!! The salad was great (I wanted more actually) and the home fries were crispy and well seasoned. I rarely eat all my food. I not only did, but wanted more. Service was good. Decor was rustic and funky, felt pretty cozy. I don't know of it was because it was cold, but it was hard to leave. This was a great stop on out trip to Washington. I would definitely come back and recommend.
