Delicious drinks…delicious vibes…delicious food..delicious art. The owner is an enthusiastic and smart man that’s doing things right for the community. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu and their coffees.

Great place to come eat, drink, have a great view of Downtown LA from the East of the river. Located in the heart of Boyle Heights historic Mariachi Plaza and the Metro station. Plus some great art! The showcase of local artist is amazing plus events hosted there including a monthly Paint & Brunch by Liliflor Art that I facilitate plus other goodies in and around the area.

This place is a gem in the hood! Guillermo, the owner, is an amazing advocate for our community and visionary for local businesses, often encouraging events that uplift undeserved families and individuals. Guillermo is also a champion of our communities strength which he highlights with arts, food tastings, and events at Distrito. Truly, what a wonderful space! Check them out.

Great place to have lunch. Chef driven menu, great view, craft beers, Mexican beers, and dope place to watch a Didgers game. My favorite so far are the wings with waffles and the chorizo burger. I need to come try more stuff!

Yelp
Distrito 14 is not your typical gastropub! Not only do they serve great food and have a nice selection of craft and artisanal craft beers and mixed drinks, they are also an art gallery and hold creative and community events. First of all, every single dish that I have ordered has been phenomenal! The menu is created by Chef Jonathan Perez of Macheen. - Truffle fries: Just the right amount of truffle oil and generous on the pecorino ramano - Wings- ordered the miso ginger tamarind. Wings are done crisp but meat is still moist. - Tostaditas de atun al pastor: so light and delicious! If you like poke, please order this because them serving it on avocado and a crisp tortilla totally works -pork belly wraps: Asian -inspired and very generous, this serving is perfect for one and who is watching their carbs. so good. - cla'sica burger: just a good well-made burger. Service is great: everyone is very friendly and one of the things i appreciate is that there are a few times where i didn't say anything but they immediately know i needed something. I felt they were very attentive. I also recommend supporting this establishment because they are open their space for community art events. I have been here for art shows (one of them, i participated as an artist,) and for a "Paint and Brunch" by Liliflor Art. The Paint and Brunch is a monthly event where in one flat fee, you are provided canvas, high end paints, brushes, one drink card and one dish. Music is being played by a live dj and there are guest vendors and wellness practitioners who opens up the space with a sage blessing and a guided meditation with a sound bath. It takes place on a Sunday morning and lasts for a few hours (which goes by so fast!) It is such an amazing event! Spaces are limited so follow Distrito 14's and Liliflor Art's social media Distrito 14 quickly became one of my favorite spots!

Yelp
We stopped by here on a whim as we were walking. This bar has a nice outdoor facing seating to watch the busy street fly by. Perfect for a brunch, people walk by and say hi to you as you enjoy your beer. Bonus - great view of the city. Service was quick and friendly. They delivered our drinks to our seats. I didn't try the food but the drinks were great

Yelp
We came across this spot by chance and man am I glad we did. I can honestly say this has been one of my favorite restaurants since I started Yelping. I'm so sad I didn't catch the name of the gentlemen that helped us out. He was so sweet, detailed, friendly, and attentive. We came in on a Sunday morning. Originally thought this was just a bar but saw online that they had a extensive food menu. Our plan was for brunch so it was perfect. Our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs and for once I was happy it was. We ordered the: - Cafe De Olla Latte: delicious, lightly sweetened with strong hints of cinnamon. - Michelada w. modela: basic miche, does the job. - Truffle fries: this was the one item I could of done without. They were good just not as great as everything else. - Taquitos de mole: Mole was sweet and extremely flavorful. I swear it felt like a member of the family made this mole. -Esquite Brussel Sprouts: My absolute favorite. Brussel sprouts were crispy yet soft and paired perfectly with the elote. I never would of considered this as a dish before trying it. - Pork Belly Chicharron Wraps: Pork belly piece was succulent and juicy. Lighten by the lettuce wraps. A good pairing with the beer. - Fresas Con Crema Panna Cotta: Light and delicious end to our meal. 10/10 I cannot tell you how much I want to gatekeep this spot, but alas I cannot. It is just that good. Please take a minute and stop in to try their delicious dishes.

Yelp
My friend and I stumbled in on a rainy afternoon around 2pm on a Sunday. We were greeted with a smile and instantly felt welcomed. There weren't many people inside, and it really was surprising considering the service, cleanliness, and food quality. We ordered a latte each, a mimosa, and a few appetizers to share. Most plates are shareable. Everything was delicious and well presented! We were told that the vegetables and fruits are sourced from local farmers markets, and the freshness comes through. For dessert, we shared the strawberry panacotta. Chefs kiss! 10/10 will return to try the rest of the menu.

Sooyeon K.

Yelp
Ordered taquitos. There were super crispy and the onion and sauce were amazing! Great service too!

Yelp
Another fake pretentious restaurant that comes up with a fancy menu with bland tasting food and raises the prices to get over its customers No Thank you . Cocktails not good either Don't fake the funk Try serving good food and provide a warm welcoming atmosphere for everybody .

Lareyna R.

Yelp
This place used to be a nice spot to have a drink and watch some sports. It's now overpriced, food quality sucks and expensive. Too small inside, can't enjoy a meal at a small table.

Luis B.

Yelp
Terrible food terrible service. Never coming back. Go dodgers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Julie B.

Yelp
Customer service was horrible, the food was bland and too expensive for area. Never coming here again.

Yelp
Delicious and flavorful food and drinks. A great place to drop by for lunch or after work. The truffle fries and salads are yummy. They also have coffee and nonalcoholic drinks. Family friendly and they hosts many community events, follow them on IG. The service is nice and welcoming.

Yelp
If you're on the hunt for an exceptional spot to savor local beer, Distrito Catorce is your go-to destination. Picture 'Cheers' vibes fused with the cultural richness of Boyle Heights - like the old Al's Bar in the Art District- that's the unique ambiance you'll find here. Every visit has been a chance to meet amazing people, and the owners? Simply outstanding. They've created a space that's not just about drinks but about community and connection. What to order: My personal favorite? The watermelon salad. It's a refreshing twist I didn't know I needed, and though I've yet to try the Al Hotdog Pastor , (it sells out.) the buzz is it's phenomenal created by Chef Jonathan Perez. What's more, its proximity to the metro at Mariachi Plaza makes it an irresistible stop. Surrounded by vibrant arts, there's always something happening here. Be it catching a game or admiring local art, there's a blend of experiences waiting for you. While you won't find tacos here, a short walk to 'Street Tacos', just two doors down, will sort you out. But before you taco-hop, try their hamburger, waffle fries and the talked-about Al Pastor Hotdog . The beer selection? Extensive. Draft , bottles, cans - From local beers I've never heard of to a popular GUAVADA a guava cider spritzer, there's something for every palate. And if you're looking to extend your night, Casa Fina across the street offers lively mariachi performances over the weekends. It's a whole vibe! So, if you're in the area or planning a visit, Distrito Catorce is a must. There is a bike rack right in the front. Follow my route and experience the best of local flavors and culture. Trust me, it's a journey worth taking!

Yelp
Distrito Catorce is only in their soft opening phase so things are in flux, but so far so good. It's the former Las Palomas right next door to Eastside Luv on 1st Street in Boyle Heights, a few steps from Mariachi Plaza. The small room has been cleaned up with a new floor & paint job, including portraits of Dodger legends Jaime Jarrin and Fernando Valenzuela -- one is a hall of famer, the other should be. The front windows have been completely opened up to the street, creating a much more inviting space. New TVs adorn the walls. This will be a great spot to watch a Dodger game. On tap at the moment are a mix of Mexican beers (Modelo) and craft beers, including one or two from nearby Indie Brewing. Food was not available when I stopped by, but I'm told it will feature Mexican small plates. Good bartenders on board, including Victor, formerly of Indie. Looking forward to their formal opening, hoping for good things as it develops.

Yelp
Locally owned in a great spot. They have beer on tap. They have ciders. They have IPA's in a can and they make a mean miche.... Their guavada cider is delicious... They have two different menus. Could it be a breakfast/lunch and dinner menu? Would be nice to have it all available at all times. (You know sometimes we want breakfast for dinner or dinner for breakfast) The food presentation is amazing... Guillermo, the owner is relaxed, sociable and respectful.. over all great place to hang, have some good conversation, good food and great drinks..

Yelp
This place is awesome! I went with a friend for a couple of beers and was happy too see a variety of beer options from multiple breweries around Los Angeles. The staff was nice and friendly and there is plenty of seating. There is also a rotating DJ! Will definitely be coming back here again.
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
Service was terrible. Came in first and last time. We felt like we were inconveniences to the bartender. Not worth the attitude for a crappy miche. Orange juice, Clamato and ur choice of beer.

Yelp
Since DC has opened up in the community, they have been nothing but a prime example of how to engage With the community not only has it brought an environment that is supportive to everyone in the community but they bring an incredible menu a wide variety of beverages and the type of environment that makes you want to keep coming back. Their food is superb if you're looking to find a place to catch the game and get to learn about the neighborhood. I highly recommend you check this place out.

Yelp
I had the chorizo sando and my partner had the fried chicken sando and both were delicious! We ordered a pour over and a topo Chico topped with espresso, again both were on point. Loved the chill vibe and customer service. I'll be returning with friends and fam forsure!

Yelp
We went out there this morning for an early brunch and arrived at 9:30 but they were closed. The hours on their website said that they opened at 9am on Saturday so we were confused.

Yelp
Great coffee and good food. Love the art and the vibe. Biggest con is that morning hours are wildly inconsistent. Every other time I've tried to go they aren't open when their social says they will be. ‍

Yelp
I didn't even finish my food hahaha I was so compelled to write a review! I ordered the Molé mushroom burger and truffle waffle fries! Truly amazing! One of the best bar food places I've had. Definitely will be coming back when in the area

Yelp
Came here to watch the Dodgers wild card game with a group of friends and idk what else to say except that this place is awesome!!! That was our second time coming back and we really like the beer selection and how chill the place is. The night of the wild card game they had a vendor serving wings and fries which where really yummy. A bunch of Dodgers fans came out to watch the game which made the game that much more exciting! I can't wait to come back and watch more games here and to try out their vast beer selection!

Yelp
Cool little place to hang out with friends. Lots of beer selection and the bartender super cool and friendly. Located right on the corner next to Mariachi Plaza....street parking only. Not sure what kind of arrangement they have with the little taco place a few doors down, but we were able to order late nite tacos and they brought them over and served us at DC. I wish I knew the name of the taco place because they were good. Had an awesome nite of beer, tacos and good times with friends.

Yelp
Great place in Boyle Heights to grab a beer and socialize with your community. I'm glad they have modelo! Ask for the chamoy/tajin rim. We will be coming here more often!

Yelp
The staff is amazing and friendly!! They have a great selection of craft beers and even have some virgin options for those who don't drink which I thought was awesome! Happy to have this new addition in boyle heights!!

Yelp
I like the concept of "going out for brunch"--friends, day drinking, Sunday funday--but I generally hate the actual food part and will just resign myself to eating a subpar fried chicken sandwich in the name of socialization. But WOWWWW, Macheen's brunch at Distrito Catorce was what brunch dreams are made of!!! My husband and I have been getting the longanisa breakfast burrito from Macheen at Milpa Grill for a few years and have been wanting to try his new spot. My dad sent us the LA Times write up on their fried chicken breakfast sandwich (one of the best in LA) and heeded the hint from the universe. We got said sandwich, the al pastor hot dog, and the wagyu pastrami breakfast sandwich. Everything was SO good and I'd order it all again but the fried chicken sandwich really blew me away. It was a little spicy and perfectly crispy, and their soft scramble is unreal (like in their breakfast burritos!). Their breakfast sandwiches are served on super soft brioche(?) buns. I'd put it second only to Howlin' Rays in terms of fried chicken sandwiches (and I'm a sucker for fried chicken). And I wouldn't eat Howlin' Rays for breakfast lol. I also got the cafe de olla iced, and it had an unexpectedly perfect hint of star anise. There's a bar too and the football games were on. Plus the service was very friendly! Can't wait to go back!

Leslie C.

Yelp
Me and some friends ended up here by accident but so glad we found this place. it's definitely our go to spot to watch games now. The beer was good and truffle burger was delicious. We'll definitely be back. The only downside was the parking but thats because of the area.

Cathy D.

Yelp
Went in to grab a drink....used the restroom first... while in the restroom, we received a call from our friends to meet them somewhere else. We proceeded to walk out the door. I don't know if it was the owner, but he immediately came up to us "are you going to buy something" out loud in front of the guests. We tried to explain that we were called to meet somewhere at a certain time... he proceeded to yell across the bar "BYE....Get out of here" very unprofessional of an owner if that was him. Will never return or our friends.

Tess S.

Yelp
Wonderful beer selection and super nice staff. Always a great time to watch a game here!
