Yelp
Love this ambiance of this beach but important things to note!!!: - very rocky. if you're out surfing beware of the rocky ground under the water. - no nearby parking unless you have a town permit. had to park about a 15 minute walk away.

Yelp
Beautiful beach. There weren't very many people so it felt private. We didn't have an issue with parking and went after we ate lunch so we didn't need food. I can appreciate the views here. It was gorgeous and the sand felt so good on our feet. Didn't go in the water but got to walk along the beach. Tried checking in but the service wasn't so great. Will definitely come back.

Yelp
My favorite! Some may argue the nostalgia I feel for Ditch Plains, drives my review, but this beach is pure bliss. Soft white sand stretching throughout Montauk. It can get quite busy during the summer season, especially on the East side closer to the lifeguards. If you are a good swimmer and venture down the West end a bit more, you will find more private spots on the sand. That being said, if you are not a great swimmer, the lifeguards here are fantastic and well trained. I happen to know a few people who went through the rigorous certification and they are strong and watchful. When there are larger waves, be very careful of surfers. Some are more experienced than others and they are not always looking out for swimmers. There are certain areas where you can walk up into the dunes and along the dune trail for a beautiful view (be careful of ticks). There are several food trucks if you have a hankering for something sweet or salty. Nearby one parking lot/entrance are bathrooms and outdoor showers as well. Fair warning, a major drawback is that you cannot park here without a permit. You will get a ticket and you don't want to ask how much it will set you back. If you are staying in the area get a ride from someone, call a taxi or grab a bike. It seems as though most people walk or ride a bike. Those who leave their bike don't usually even lock them up. If you can ever get here in the off season or on a week day you are in for a real treat. It's a special place where you can swim, watch surfers, sun bath and just enjoy the beauty of the beach.

Yelp
Parking anywhere nearby is illegal. Parked for 15 minutes and got a $150 ticket. Food options nearby are scarce and very underwhelming.

Yelp
Cool hangout beach. Food truck and lots of surfers. Police presence so make sure you have a beach sticker or risk a $150 fine.
