"Diva Indian Bistro in Somerville’s Davis Square has closed down after about two decades in business. The restaurant, situated at 246 Elm St., displayed a note of thanks for customers and the neighborhood for supporting the business through the years. The people of Davis Square welcomed us with open arms some 20 years back, and for that we will be forever grateful,” the sign read. “We have developed many friendships and loyal customers over the years, and we shall miss them, but the time has come for us to pursue other endeavors.” Diva Indian Bistro served a range of dishes including tandoori specials, dosa, meat and vegetable entrees, and thali, or set dinners with an array of dishes to sample. It was a part of the One World Cuisine restaurant group, which also runs Dosa Factory, Bao Nation, Mela, and Bukhara." - Dana Hatic

I love the lunch buffet. The selection is pretty small, but what they have is delicious and mostly vegetarian. I never had papadum before coming here, but I can definitely say I'm a fan now.

The photos are Lamb Tikka Saagwala and Chicken Jalfrezi. The food is really great, authentic. Quiet atmosphere, not too big not too small and the table and seats are comfortable. It is a little pricey from my perspective (I try not to sped a lot for restaurants, so... :) Two people would take $45 without drink. Again, goods are great!! Just a price. Maybe it is a Cambridge price. My experience there was great. I got relaxed and did enjoyed the food. Stuff members are also calm, let customers relaxed and enjoy the time, and reliable.

We went to Diva's on a summer evening, with the large doors open to the street, which made for a great atmosphere. The service was very good, the server was very attentive, and the food came out very quickly. The food was very flavorful, spiced well, and good-sized portions. Overall, I enjoyed the total experience of eating there, and would definitely come back.

I usually went here for the lunch buffets. And the food was pretty good, and wholesome. The unlimited buffets were always reasonably priced. The food quality was good. I didn't go here à la carte, so I cannot comment much on the service. It's a good place if you want an affordable buffet of delectable, authentic Indian food in Somerville. There are a bunch of other similar options around, but I found this to be the better one.

Quality indian lunch buffet with a wide range of options. They were very accommodating of our 1 year old daughter who accompanied us (with her boxed lunch from home). Like most indian buffets, the spice level was turned way down to make sure everyone could enjoy it, but they did not dumb down the other flavors. Bringing fresh naan to the table is always a nice touch, as is having masala chai at the buffet. Don't make my mistake and wait to the last minute to grab desert, as they will start clearing the dishes as they approach the end of buffet hours.

Was very disappointed in the food. The only reason I gave it two stars is because the garlic naan was quite yummy even though quite burnt on the back. The goat curry I had was very dry. The grilled chicken lacked the right spicing and was also dry. The sage paneer was spiced terribly wrong as well. I know food! Go to Kabob Factory in stead. Amazing buffet!

I love this place. Outstanding Malai Kofta and Chicken Tikka Masala, yummy Saag Paneer, excellent Vegetable Pakora, Love their food. Their naan has wonderful consistency and the flavor is decent though they always burn it a little which isn't my favorite (and it makes the garlic naan a little bitter). The delivery man is basically the kindest person I've ever had the pleasure of meeting and delivery always arrives VERY quickly, and their dine-in service is very attentive and comfortable and clean with lots of ambiance.

Solid Indian food for Davis square. The food is good, flavorful and comes out pretty fast (which could be a good or bad thing) The lunch/brunch buffet has a good selection of items both vegetarian and non and on weekends they have mini dosa's which is a added bonus. While the food is good, its nothing to call home about. They are typical north and some south indian dishes all of which are good. The location is great if you are taking the T and there is plenty of street parking in the surrounding area.
