Had an amazing night at Divan Grill and Lounge! The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavor and beautifully presented. The whole place has such a fun, energetic vibe that makes you want to stay all night. Big shoutout to the ownership and staff — super friendly, welcoming, and on point with the service. Special love to DJ Hannah— she absolutely *killed it*! Her music selection was fire, with the perfect mix of *Persian, Arabic, Turkish, Indian, English* and more. She knows how to read the crowd and create a vibe that keeps everyone dancing and vibing. Her energy is contagious and really adds soul to the place. If you're looking for great food, amazing music, and a night to remember — *Divan is the spot*. Highly recommend!

I had no idea Old Town Tustin had Persian food until visiting Divan Grill & Lounge the other night for a birthday dinner! The restaurant is hidden away on a corner street in the area and has casual and relaxed vibes, with many hookah vessels available within the restaurant. But the food and service are solid! Even with a large group, the service and food was paced reasonably. And the food was enjoyable. We got to try a trip of dips - tzaziki, hummus, and warm eggplant. The tzaziki was really refreshing and the eggplant was a nice warm hug in the mouth - so a nice contrast. The hummus was creamy and smooth and the flavor was decent too. For the main entrees, we had the salmon, chicken, and beef koobideh. The salmon had crispy skin and was pretty flaky but more well cooked. The chicken was tender (seemed to be mostly thighs, which I'm a fan of) and very flavorful. And the beef koobideh was also very tender and probably my favorite bite of the night. Overall, a solid option for Persian food in the area, and very accommodating to large groups. It's worth visiting if you're in the area, especially if you want to try something different from the many Asian and Italian places nearby.

One of the few options open late after an evening shopping spree at the nearby microcenter. Unfortunately, despite the authentic menu, the quality of the Barg Kebab was questionable at best. I'm not sure if I just don't like the seasoning/marinade or if the meat had started to go bad, but it has an very strong metallic, bitter note that certainly didn't jive with how Barg Kebab's flavor was described online. The rice and pickled onions were good, but it the portion of the kebab was extremely small for the price of the entre and cheap cut off meat (flank steak). Not that I necessarily would've wanted a second one with the off flavor, but for the price it should've had double the meat. Atmosphere was interesting. I didn't notice that it was a hookah lounge, but that's on me, so the second hand smoke from different scents mixing may have contributed to the odd flavors of the meal's. About midway through, a waitress(?) came out with a dance show that was a bit disruptive but neat to see all the other patrons getting into it. The best part about my visit was definitely the unlimited hot tea with a piece of baklava. A bit on the small side for the baklava, but it was delicious and paired nicely with the lightly floral, unsweetened tea. Not sure if I can really recommend the place, given the other reviews (which I only saw after ordering) complaining about similarly poor food quality, but given the other patrons that came while I was here, if you want authentic Persian dishes or enjoy hookah, it's worth a try.

We were served old hummus! That old lemony rusted taste! Terrible! Then the rice was not cooked the way we had ordered it. Asked for it again and was charged twice for their fault! I was not in the mood to complain, two plates and two wrong orders for us a total of $$$$137.00 dollars very disappointing, this was not going to ruin our weekend though but be aware that they will charge you for THEIR own mistakes!! Be aware don't say You were not warned. I suggest a better option NAAN AND KABON THEY NEVER DISSAPOINT!

We had lunch here recently, it was raining outside we asked if they have a smoking free space which they didn’t but they were nice enough to take hookahs outside. The food was great, staff were super nice, I would definitely go back!

We came here during our vacation to California. It’s amazing . The food is delicious. Very big portions . They have Shisha which is awesome. The owners are super friendly and very good service. Highly recommend if you live in California or visiting

It was a very horrible and not well done kabobs. The service was terrible to pick up. The portion of foods weren't enough for the dinner order. I wasn't happy and even, I called the owner wasn't helpful . Please everyone stays away from this place that's why this place is empty, and nobody is going there.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this place was honestly terrible. Nothing we ordered was good — not even the teas, which is surprising. The food was disappointing, the quality didn’t match the price, and the whole experience just felt like a waste of money. The restaurant is kind expensive, and for what they charge, you’d expect much better. I really wouldn’t recommend it. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Been Many Saturday evening. An Amazing 3 piece band - "Art of Sax", a 3 piece band (Sax, Vocals, Bass) that plays every Saturday from 7:00 PM to 10:00 (with no breaks) . Mostly 1980's music and a bit of dancing. The Food is priced very well is Delicious. If you are even near Old Town Tustin, it is well worth checking out.

When we walked in, the doors were closed and the air conditioning was on--which made sense since it was a hot day. They told us we could sit anywhere, but there were people smoking hookah inside the restaurant with the doors shut, which was really off-putting. Because of that, we chose to sit outside even though it was uncomfortably hot. When it came time to order, the server didn't write anything down and had to come back to confirm what we said. We asked for fresh veggies to dip in our hummus, but they brought out tiny, diced cucumbers that were impossible to dip. When we asked if they could slice whole cucumbers instead, the server replied, "Sorry, we don't have time to cut more cucumber"--which was surprising since there was only one other customer there. Also, my friend ordered a salad with a side of falafel, but the falafel didn't come. Instead, they brought out a full entree of falafel with rice and more salad, which wasn't what he ordered. I'm giving 2 stars because the food itself was good, but the service left a lot to be desired. The indoor smoking, disorganized service, and lack of consideration for simple requests really turned us off. I don't think I'll be back--unless maybe it's for the belly dancing, if they have it.

Walked in there on a Saturday afternoon. Place was completely empty. We chose to eat there to sit on the patio because it was such a lovely afternoon. Lunch prices were very expensive. The waitress said she would honor the Monday through Friday lunch special prices. We ordered, food was wonderful. Unfortunately, somebody sat right across from us eventually and started smoking a hookah, smelly, noisy distracting from our conversation. Bill came and we were charged the full price versus the price promised. I pointed it out to her and she said no problem. I'll take care of it. She Went into the restaurant came back about 30 seconds later and said the manager would not honor it. We will not go back.

I placed a pick up order for 5:30 pm through their website and I got an email notification that my food was ready at 4:50 pm and I could not get there in time so by the time I had picked the food up it was cold. Not only was it cold but the dough was as hard as a brick and one half was sooo burnt it could have gotten confused with a piece of coal. Definitely not worth the $30 they are charging their customers. There are so many better persian restaurants in OC so go to one of those instead.

Haven't been here in a couple years or so but I'm glad I came back! Cute small plaza in Old Town Tustin They have indoor and outdoor patio as well but it was so windy I decided to sit inside. Maziar promptly greeted my girlfriend and I and was very welcoming with a smile. Made great conversation which is a plus! Saturday night nice casual atmosphere with a DJ which I loved all the music. Our server Taranom was Amazing ! Such a sweetheart really checked on us frequently made conversation and always smiling . Got unlimited tea pot with backlava and eggplant appetizer all yummy . Wasn't too hungry so just got the snacks . The hookah is fresh and clean too After few puffs decided to get the chocolate ice cream cake super yummy not too sweet. The bathroom was spotless and I couldn't be happier with the service. The owner also greeted us and checked on us . I will be back for sure. Thank you

Unfortunately and I really hate to say that I am not happy at all about this place. Normally Divan is a dinning and smoking spot, which serve Hookah . However its a smoking spot I was asked not to smoke my cigar as it annoys a one customer. The management offered to change my place where I was sitting and I refused and had to leave the place. Instead , the owner should cleared to the other customer its a smoking place and he either move to a different spot or accept the smoke , but he asked me to move to a different spot or I have to refrain from smoking!!! Thats why I left and will never go back anymore.

Stopped by tonight (Friday). We were only ones there at 630 so wasn't sure about it. Decided to give a tey. We had dolmas which were amazing! So fresh and tasty. Also, had lentil soup which was great. So many vegetarían options on menu which we prefer. Will go back again and try some more things.

Worse experience ever, I haven't seen a restaurant like this never. My grandmas 90th birthday was ruined, cheap set up, ran out of food, service was terrible.

Ordered through Door dash- The Falafels were good but it came with old mint leaves and a little cup of mayo, which I'm guessing is supposed to be their garlic sauce. The Chicken rice bowl was horrible. The chicken was dried, and had some weird seasoning. The rice was plain, and was undercooked. There are plenty of good Mediterranean restaurants in the area, but this is not one of them.

Ate here yesterday evening. Had poor service from a waitress who seemed to be a new employee or training. Also a language barrier, okay. But then she tried to charge us for bottled waters instead of tap water and said that they were out oftap water. Maybe she meant out of glass bottles they serve it in? (Language barrier) We had to ask the other waitress for water and she brought some out. Lastly, they charged us $19 for an add on beef skewer. $19? Should of been at most $9 according to the menu. We could've got a whole plate for about $5 more. Ridiculous. This business will upcharge in the most dramatic ways to get you to spend more money.

Came in here for an early dinner Sunday. The inside of the restaurant was nearly empty so we were able to sit wherever we wanted. My wife ordered the falafel platter which she said was okay however the waitress was trying to up-sell her to order the rice and salad for an extra $2.50 after she had already said "no" to that option. We asked for tapwater, but was told that there was no tapwater that day and the only option was their $3 water bottle. The bottle of beer we ordered was about room temperature and I had to go up to the bartender to open it as it arrived closed. One of the strangest and most disappointing experiences at a reataurant.

I wish I could give a negative star! I regret choosing this restaurant! I ordered from this restaurant for the first time today! My order was ghormeh sabzi stew, half salad, half rice, instead of that I received celery stew, which contained a lot of fatty junk!!!! disgusting! And don't ever order their soup because what I saw is only good for the trash! Unfortunately, the management there didn't even try to apologize, they just returned my money!!!

Casual atmosphere, very good Persian food, good service. They also have Hookah bar and Patio. Good place to taste Persian Pizza and Sandwich .

We ordered a Persian pizza for pick up. It was missing some ingredients which was very strange, we let the owner/manager know and they apologized very politely and offered to change it for us, which I appreciate. We didn't ask for a new pizza since we couldn't wait another 20 mins. The pizza generally didn't taste that great either and looked like it wasn't cooked thoroughly. I don't recommend this place if you are looking for good Persian pizza. Kabobs and hookah are good from past experience.

Divan's is simply divine. The baklava almost made me cry and their chicken shwarma was to die for. The fact that it is open until 2AM makes this easily one of the best places in the area. I'm still awestruck.

They got our order wrong service was terrible and the food was awful. Really the food quality was probably the worst I ever had there was an order to it. They should probably serve salad on a separate plate so the juice of the chicken isn't mixed in with. Would never eat there again.

Really, really good!!!! For our first visit we chose to go with meats for a more reserved palette. I had the beef and lamb which were so good and flavorful. My aunt had the chicken and loved it! Now I'm looking forward to the non-traditional stuff. I grew up in Kentucky so liver, brains, etc., is ok with me!!!!!!

Holy belly dancer! I didn't know I was going to get a show with my dinner. She was beautiful and I appreciated the dancing, which I've never seen before. So the ambiance gets all the stars. There's also hookah if your into that. I brought my son, and the environment was a little much for him, so if you have kids, make sure your comfortable with being around hookah smoke and belly dancing. My Greek salad with salmon was ok. It was different from any salad I've ever had bc there was no lettuce. It consisted of bell peppers, cucumbers, olives, feta cheese and olive oil. I couldn't eat it. My bf got the chicken wrap, which was a little dry. My son ordered the cheese pizza which was pretty good. I'm not sure if I'd ever return here, but it was an experience.

NOT GOOD. This is the most disappointing meal I've had in a while. There were four of us. To start, the samosas were above average. They were freshly fried and had a good crisp and warm filling. Definitely the best part of the meal. The waitress got my order incorrect, but I ate what I was served anyways, which was some form of gyro meat that was incredibly salty and served on what was looked like a store-bought pita. The Tzaziki was good. My wife ordered dolmas that were the worst dolmas we've ever had. There wasn't nearly enough filling, the leaves had no flavor, and it was topped with what looked and tasted like marinara sauce. Another guest ordered beef kabobs that were barely palatable. The beef tasted low quality, was under seasoned, and the consistency of the kabobs was similar to overcooked ground beef. Really really bad. The fourth person ordered grilled chicken that was good. Had good flavor and was surprisingly still juicy. I also ordered a 'melon juice' that was actually just honeydew and ice blended together that cost me $7. The waitress was nice.

Today was our first time here, super chill hookah and restaurant, I got their yummy lamb and beef gyro and my husband got the juicy amazing chicken Koobideh, both our meals came with charred onion tomato and pepper a delicious salad with amazing dressing and healthy portion of the best tasting basmati rice I've ever tasted, fluffy and flavorful! I don't know why it's not crowded cause the food is amazing, heard it's under new ownership, hope the food doesn't change, people need to support more unique places like this Gem, we will be back. I was so excited to try this restaurant because I love gyros and whenever I visit different places, I always check on Mediterranean food. I order ice water and they serve a 12 oz bottle water which to my surprise, they charge me for $5. Gyro plate was served and it was dry and I thought it was bacon because it's crunchy. There's a lady who never stop coughing and she seems to be the owner or maybe one of the stuff from the restaurant. Very disappointed, id rather go to luna grill or Daphne's next time.

I really try not to slam restaurants. Normally, if it's bad, I just move on. This one was so bad, I felt I had to warn people. We went on a Sunday afternoon, we were the only ones in the restaurant. The rest of old town was booming. We had their koobedieh last week at a community event. It was delicious. We have a large dinner coming up and thought we would use them. So glad we ordered a few dishes beforehand. We ordered the gyros plate. I have to say, their meats are delicious although half of the gyros came out cold. The rice was mediocre, a bit on the dry side. The tzatziki was fine, it's hard to mess up tzatziki. Salad was like out of a bag with a bottled dressing. The $27 appetizer plate. Horrible. The falafel was horrible. The taste of the sambosas was okay, but cold so the grease sat there. The stuffed grape leaves looked amazing, definitely not from a can but just okay. The pita was dry and hard. They cited the veggies on the list so I am mentioning both the cucumbers and tomatoes seemed like they had been cut last week. The humus and eggplant dip had an odd taste. Maybe it was old? I did like chunkiness of dips. Menu pricing was bizarre. Beef koobedieh was $20, chicken was $19 for two skewers. One of each was $26. Didn't make sense to me. Bottom line, if you only eat meat, go! You won't be disappointed.

Highest quality hookah! Ask for Saj! He took care of us and went way above the call of duty to help us. The place not only has great food but the atmosphere is very peaceful. Will be coming here all the time!

Decided to come here while in Tustin since it was open till 1am. The atmosphere was chill and everybody seemed like they were having a great time. It was pretty loud but it's a hookah lounge as well so that wasn't a surprise. Service was very slow because the servers are talking to their friends and smoking hookah with other guests. It didn't seem like they were taking any covid precautionary measures since none of the servers were wearing masks and it seemed very crowded. The portions were very large and affordable. We started with some mediterranean fries which were decent. There wasn't much meat on it and it just seemed like random ingredients were thrown together and had cheese melted on it. We ordered the spicy beef koobideh kabob which had a nice kick to it. The kabob was delicious and the rice was buttery and the salad added a nice freshness to the dish. We also ordered the beef and lamb plate. The meat was slightly dry but flavorful. We also ordered the beef shish kabob wrap which I don't think was authentic since it had pickles in it. The meat was tender and well seasoned. It was okay but the plates were definitely better than the wrap. I don't know how authentic this place is but overall, I would consider coming back for takeout but not for dine in considering the fact that they're not taking much precautionary measures.

Came here on a whim hoping it would become a new favorite restaurant but i was very wrong. My party and I asked our waiter for waters and then were given small little water bottles instead of water in a glass. We later found out they charge you for this with no warning. I have never been to a restaurant that doesn't disclose this information beforehand or ask if you'd prefer tap water. Very scammy of them. My party and I were also sat outside and were told it was the one table they had available (even though there were plenty of tables inside that were free and open). We then felt uncomfortable as the guest singer/performer kept talking to us and making comments about us while we tried to enjoy our food. Food wise, I got the falafel platter and it was probably the worst falafel I've had so far. The service was okay and our waiter was attentive but the owner had a stank attitude and did not make a good impression whatsoever. You're honestly better off going to halal guys or panini kabob which is saying a lot. Pick another place! Don't make our mistake.

Thought we would give this place a try and support a local business. Not very busy on a Friday night. Some people outside on the patio. I assume they were waiting for a gathering of some sort. Couple of people smoking hookah, and this guy talking super loud about Italy and how to boil pasta. It went on and on. We sit down and I ordered iced tea. Not an unusual drink. After an eternity, waitress brings out a mason jar of Luke warm team with no ice. I aske for lavash, raw onion, butter, sumac and a cup of ice. These are very common items at a Persian restaurant. Waitress come back with a cup of ice, the onion and a ramekin of melted butter. What? We order. I ask for lavash again. I ask if they have chicken koobedeh. She says yes. I ask for 1 beef and 1 chicken koobedeh. I remind her to bring the lavash After a very long time, we get our order. I get chicken barg instead of koobedeh and 2 beef koobedeh. I don't say anything even though this will cost more than double of my original order. No lavash. I ask for it again which comes finally much later and 1/2 way through our meal. It was simply stale pita bread. Like what you buy as t Albertsons. Food was decent. Chicken a bit dry. But not bad No one ever checked on us and we finished and waited for 30 minutes for someone to clear our plates. The waitress had only 1 other table. We finally got up and walked to the cash register to pay. To my surprise, one of the people on that patio party was the manager or owner. He came to collect our money. The owners and managers were having fun, watching us the whole time!!!! They never welcomed us or made sure we were happy and they are a new business. I saw several people come up, were never greeted and they just left. Instead of being part of a party or festivities, maybe the owners/managers should take care of new customers I have found that these hookah places are not the places to come to when you want Persian food. This places is no exception. We won't be returning.

Last night we check did out this place it was really good usually all the hookah lounge they don't have good food but this place served awesome food and hookah we ordered koobideh plate and chicken soltani plate it was delicious tasty comes with rice and salad also they have unlimited tea all the time server was on our table and refill out cup with yummy baklava about hookah it was good I'm not surprised about hookah because they are hookah lounge , definitely recommend this place our server with nice knowledge about everything also I think owner was overthere she looks like such nice lady , you can't get all these options completely in Persian cuisine you know, but well done definitely we'll back

We were so happy to find this outdoor gem with plenty of space and delicious food plus hookah! We didn't get hookah, but we got the Chicken Shawna plate and Lamb gyro wrap with a glass of Italian wine and some iced tea. It was delicious. We would definitely come back and recommend others to try it!

Awesomesauce!!! Hookah is great and the food is even better. Came in to hang out with friends fresh outta quarantine! Don't worry...they take lots of COVID precautions. Hookah hoses are disposable.

Exceeded expectations. Recommend the Filet Mignon Shish Kebab. Greek Salad also very good. Heads up if you don't specify tap water you may be served bottled water @ $1.75 each. And they allow all kinds of tobacco products on the patio including cigars and those hooka thingys. Did not detect cigarettes but cigars were out there. Service was excellent despite being busy. We'll be back soon for more.

This is just a review based on initial arrival. It was 8pm maybe three tables outside. The host let us know they charged $5 for live music and $10 for dancers per person at 10pm which we weren't staying for. I guess I just have never been to a restaurant where I'm charged for live music? It's not like we chose to come here for the music - we came for the food as first timers. We sat for 5 minutes then ended up leaving.
