Divani Palace Acropolis

"Dine on the rooftop garden restaurant to look out over the Acropolis. From this stunning vantage, consider your central location on a quiet residential street, close to the Acropolis museum, metro, and Plaka and Monasteraki shopping. Rooms, some with hardwood floors, don't disappoint, but special praise is reserved for amazing and friendly staff."

Divani Palace Acropolis | Best places to stay in Athens

"If you want to be at the heart of the action, the Divani Palace is an excellent choice; the hotel is located within a stone’s throw of the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum and the Grand Promenade, as well as being surrounded by the buzzy streets of Koukaki.  And not just that: you are spoiled with 5-star luxury, an outdoor pool and a roof terrace with unrivalled close-up views of the Acropolis rock; so close in fact, that the ancient city walls built 25 centuries ago run through the basement.  Make sure to book dinner at the rooftop restaurant; try the chicken kontosouvli (a kind of kebab on the spit) – a speciality from Thessaloniki.  " - John Malathronas

Short walk to the Acropolis and othee tourist attractions. Tons of restaurants and cafes within a walking distance. Hotel staff are super friendly and informative. I was able to book our 1 day boat cruise with the help one of the lovely front desk staff. I believe her name is Maria. The rooms are tidy and the hotel itself is beautiful especially the rooftop garden/restaurant.

We stayed here as part of a small group, both at the beginning and end of our tour. The hotel is extensively used by groups and generally well geared up for this. The luggage storage operation was particularly efficient. On the minus side, groups all wanting to eat at the same time can mean a crush at breakfast and the staff, hardworking as they are, struggle to keep all items resupplied. That said, there's a very good choice at breakfast and most of it is very good quality. The rooms were fine, pretty much as you'd expect - but I have to mention the best hotel slippers I've come across. The rooftop bar was a lovely spot for a nightcap, with Acropolis views, but pricey. The location is great for visiting the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum, but a bit further from the centre than we've stayed when visiting Athens independently. Not really a problem when we stayed in October but would be a hot trudge in the summer months.

Our Travel Agent chose this hotel and we stayed there 3 nights along with our friends. We arrived early and the bellmen stored our luggage. We walked around a bit, ate lunch, and came back around 2. All of us were able to check in. The woman who checked us in wasn’t particularly friendly. The bellman who brought up our luggage trip was very nice and helpful. He showed us how to open the door to the balcony. We did not get a view room but it was definitely adequate. Breakfast all three mornings was very good with a lot of different choices. Best of all is the location of this hotel. We walked up to the Acropolis a few times and also walked to the arena where they held the first Olympic games. There’s lots of restaurants nearby to enjoy. We went up to the rooftop where we were able to stand off to the side and get a picture of the Acropolis lit up on our last night. This hotel seems to be a popular choice for group travel. We saw several during our time there.

I came as part of a group tour. Last week of October. Still hot, AC cannot be adjusted lower. Probably good for most people but not for me. The worst part was not having blackout drapes. Just a thin curtain that is see through. Most likely if you pay directly for room, this won’t be a problem. Solo traveler here with a group (Gate 1) and solos get worst rooms. ||Hotel itself is nice, has a pool and a nice gift shop. There is a mini fridge filled with their own supplies, There are robes and slippers. The shampoo, conditioner and bath gel are NOT in tamper proof bottles so I won’t use. Be sure to go downstairs to see the excavations! Very cool!!!

A wonderful hotel with great staff. The concierge staff were all helpful and very friendly. Had an issue with noisy neighbours and it was sorted out . The next day we were upgraded because of the inconvenience. Breakfast was great. Plenty to choose from and very fresh. Rooftop bar gd a great view of the Acropolis. A big Thankyou to all the doormen at the front door. They were always attentive and a great help. Thankyou very much to Konstantinos and Alexandros for helping us out with a rogue taxi driver. Also to Velisarios for his great advice on local restaurants.

An excellent hotel. The staff were very attentive and super polite. The rooms are very comfortable and we were upgraded. We also had a view of the Acropolis/Parthenon. The gym is well equipped but small, which was good for us as very few people were using the facilities. The swimming pool was an added bonus. We had dinner on the roof with exceptional of the Parthenon. The food was good but quite expensive - the view is why we dined there. Finally, the location of the hotel was ideal for us. It was very close to the metro and the attractions we wanted to visit.

Just returned from a one night post cruise stay. I mostly used my *United points to book a superior Acropolis view room which cost over $300 for the night based upon the location close to the Acropolis Museum and boasting Acropolis views. The picture of the room advertised on their web site Is not the room we received. Our room was noticeably smaller and the bathroom was not updated. The paint was even peeling in the bathroom. The room felt claustrophobic both because it was small and the shutters couldn’t be raised to let in partial light. The view is mostly of old rooftops and not attractive. If you bend over and look to the side you can view the Acropolis. |The check in went smoothly and they held our luggage for us until the room was ready. The hotel lobby is attractive and unfortunately we didn’t have the opportunity to try any of their restaurants. The neighborhood is very quiet and it felt quite deserted at night. A big plus would be the location near the Acropolis but overall this hotel was a disappointment because of the room.

Divani Palace Acropolis is a beautiful, clean hotel situated in a perfect spot in Athens. Close enough to walk to certain spots and yet quiet when you want it to be. Lefri, the desk clerk was extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable of any questions we had. The bellhops, waitresses, bartenders were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping kept our rooms immaculate and neat. It was our anniversary and they made our vacation extra nice. We look forward to revisiting Athens and will definitely stay at the Divani Palace Acropolis. Thank you!
