Divani Palace Acropolis

"Dine on the rooftop garden restaurant to look out over the Acropolis. From this stunning vantage, consider your central location on a quiet residential street, close to the Acropolis museum, metro, and Plaka and Monasteraki shopping. Rooms, some with hardwood floors, don't disappoint, but special praise is reserved for amazing and friendly staff."

Divani Palace Acropolis | Best places to stay in Athens

"If you want to be at the heart of the action, the Divani Palace is an excellent choice; the hotel is located within a stone’s throw of the Acropolis, the Acropolis Museum and the Grand Promenade, as well as being surrounded by the buzzy streets of Koukaki.  And not just that: you are spoiled with 5-star luxury, an outdoor pool and a roof terrace with unrivalled close-up views of the Acropolis rock; so close in fact, that the ancient city walls built 25 centuries ago run through the basement.  Make sure to book dinner at the rooftop restaurant; try the chicken kontosouvli (a kind of kebab on the spit) – a speciality from Thessaloniki.  " - John Malathronas

Just got back from a lovely stay at Divani Palace. I stayed with my mum for 4 nights. |Location is brilliant. Close to the acropolis museum and the start of Plaka, with plenty of shops and Greek tavernas and a lovely area. Cafes immediately around which we went to for breakfast rather than pay for breakfast so can’t comment on breakfast. |Hotel reception lovely. |Hotel reception staff always friendly and helpful. |Bar area nice. |Rooftop restaurant quite pricey for dinner and brilliant Greek restaurants nearby so we didn’t eat there, but went up for drinks 2 evenings for a nightcap and was a lovely atmosphere. |Rooms lovely and clean and spacious. |Pool area nice but sadly the location of it enclosed means it’s never really in sun and the pool is cold. Other than that a perfect stay!

Stayed here for 4 nights and found it very central for visiting the Acropolis and nearby bus stop for the city sight seeing buses. In a nice area with few bars, cafés and restaurants and Plaka district closeby. The hotel was beautiful in decor, very bright and airy with plenty of seating. Reception staff were very helpful and courteous. A problem was dealt with very promptly. Room was spacious with a balcony. Nice products to use in the bathroom. A well stocked fridge with mini bar. Robes and slippers. We didn't have breakfast during stay. Used the pool once which was cold but I suppose that's due to all the vegetation around it. The bar on the rooftop was in a beautiful setting with views of the Acropolis, absolutely stunning bar. The staff did seem a bit slow to take orders and make payment on one night, but on another they were more attentive to the customers. Fantastic hotel and would definitely stay again.

I am very happy to be at this hotel again with family. I came with my son and my sister ( her first time and also loved). Excellent Check in, the Staff ( Lefki) was very courteous and answered all my questions she even provided excellent recommendation to eat dinner at Anafiotika. Even the Porters were very helpful to park our car rental in front the day we checked in as well as making sure we were packed well in the early morning checkout ready to drive to Athens Airport.|We loved the room, the bathroom was spacious. |The biggest highlight was having our drink and enjoying the amazing view of the Acropolis.!! Thank you Divani!||Marina Kokkinias

This is our second time staying at Divani Palace. The rooms and common areas are clean and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Each visit we make sure to have at least one meal at the restaurant on top of the hotel. The service and food are amazing and the only thing better is the view of the acropolis and Parthenon. We highly recommend this hotel and will be returning again.

EXCELLENT customer service!! The staff was very friendly and nice. They seemed to be very protective of their guests. They told us about what to look for in a shady cab driver and offered to intervene if we felt we were being taken advantage of. Beautiful hotel. The rooms are clean and updated. A breakfast buffet comes with the room. The food was very good and plentiful. Beautiful presentation. The rooftop restaurant is second to none with an excellent view of the Parthenon.

I want to say all the staff are wonderful and but especially Michael the bellman! He was helpful in many ways. Thank you! I’ll definitely be back soon.

I couldn’t say enough nice things about this hotel! Our entire experience from start to finish was absolutely amazing! The hotel concierge was incredibly helpful in booking our hotel transfers for us as well as providing expert direction and recommendations on what to do. The location was also amazing, this was our first time in Greece and were are so central to everything we wanted to do and see it made getting around so incredibly easy. We saved a ton of money since we did not need Ubers or Taxis to get around. The room was also so nice with an amazing balcony. The room service was incredibly friendly and always kept our room spotless. The showers were amazing as well with rainfall shower heads. The hotel also had one of the best rooftop restaurants in Athens with an amazing view of the Acropolis. The hotel pool was outdoor and incredibly relaxing as well! If you are coming to Athens with friends or for your first time I highly recommend staying at the Divani Palace Acropolis. Thank you for an excellent experience!

It's a comfortable stay and very near the south entrance to the Acropolis. If you are there to see the Acropolis, it's a five minute walk. However, service is not great. The front desk staff I interacted with are a little brusque. The drinks at the hotel bar are the most expensive I've seen anywhere--18 Euro each. The guests are overwhelmingly American tourists, so if you are hoping for a hotel with a more European feel this isn't it. I was also disappointed that the sauna in the gym was turned off. Service at the rooftop restaurant was exceedingly slow. It took about 30 minutes just to order food. And they made me call from the lobby phone to make reservations. They wouldn't take the reservation in the restaurant itself nor at the front desk. There is a very nice leather shop right down the street, and the rooftop restaurant has a fantastic view.
