We chose this 5-star hotel mainly because, at the time of booking, it stated that parking was included. Upon arrival, we were told that no parking was available and that we had to find a spot on the nearby streets. Later, we found out there was actually a private parking lot 1.6 km away, at an extra charge, but they hadn’t even mentioned it when we first asked.
The attitude of the valets was far from what you would expect at a 5-star hotel: I literally had to run after two of them just to get an answer regarding parking and they did not provide proper assistance with the luggage.
The promotional photos are misleading: they give the impression of a rooftop pool with a view of the Acropolis, but in reality, the pool is on the ground floor, surrounded by buildings, where the sun never reaches.
Breakfast is very limited in options and the same every single morning. The rooftop restaurant also offers very few options to choose from.
The bathroom has no ventilation system or window. The walls are very thin, and you can hear other guests talking — not to mention children crying. I’ve also never stayed in a hotel that provided only one pillow, which made it quite uncomfortable.
Overall, the hotel is outdated and did not provide the 5-star services we were expecting, yet they certainly charge you like a 5-star hotel.
