Wow, I am absolutely blown away by the service and attention to detail. And the food is absolutely delicious. Divine catered a party for me recently and executed seamlessly. They even delivered the food on time. I would absolutely recommend and they have a customer in me for life.

Divine flavored catered our wedding and the food + service was fantastic! I’ve been going to Divine for years and the excellent quality of the food has not changed, which is why I knew I had to have them cater my wedding. There were no issues with delivery of the food—everything arrived on time—and they worked very well with the other food caterer at the wedding. My friends still talk about the Suya they served during the cocktail hour to this day and my family in Nigeria would not stop raving about how delicious everything was. I should also add that my wife and some of her side of the family are vegan/vegetarian and Divine was able to accommodate them so they could have a taste of our lovely Naija cuisine! Consider them for your next event !

They came to Vegandale festival in Miami Florida !!! I’ve been wanting to taste African food, gave their vegan cuisine a try and it was amazing!! There was a variety of different dishes…. And!!! They gave the MOST food for the that price !!! When I go to NY I’m definitely going to see them again

Google
Ordered on grubhub, rated it 3 stars before getting all the way through. Jollof was not good, reviewed that as I had already tasted a bit of efo and it was decent enough. I close the app and continue to finish my meal. Midway through the efo riro it got very bitter all of a sudden. I really can't finish it. I know I can't get the rest of my money back, and I don't have any lunch but just don't want anyone else making a similar expensive mistake. I got efo riro and casava Jollof with the beef suya and plaintain. Efo was bland Jollof and plantains tasted lukewarm, poorly reheated, and day old Suya was cold, too salty and did not come with sauce The jollof rice was also very small for it's price, $18 for such a small portion. This was over $50, and I want to enjoy the food I buy. Edit : I keep going back to try the food to see if I was too harsh but it just keeps on getting worse. Leaves a really bad bitter taste in my mouth.

I wish there was a zero star that would have been the best in this situation. I was at the Nigerian embassy in New York and saw this guy in the food truck. I decided to order Jollof rice and chicken, the guy who attended to me played on my intelligence knowing fully well I was in a hurry to catch my ride. He gave me a box of food that has already gone bad, something you can’t even feed to a dog. I got to the airport and couldn’t even eat the food but trash it immediately because it’s really bad. You guys can do better please. I have a picture of the food here. The chicken is so burnt and it isn’t fresh either.

Great food and service. This food truck was parked in front of the Nigerian Consulate building on 44th/2nd Avenue. The rice tasted really good.

Google
Got chicken and rice, it was really flavorful and not messy. It was maybe $6 on the too good to go app, so good deal. The picture that I posted is of oxtail I think, also looked pretty good.

Yelp
I recently moved to Brooklyn and I have been craving some African food. I ordered the jollof rice with Jerk Chicken, White Rice with ayamse stew, Fried plantain, and batata with stew and a side of plantains! Yes, I planned to not cook for a while. Lol. The Jollof was delicious. Jerk chicken is very well seasoned and juicy! The ayamse stew really did it for me! Finger licking good and it comes with a boiled egg - perfectly paired with white rice. Delivery was on time. Packaged very well with no spills. Good portion of food for affordable prices. My go-to!

Yelp
It was my first time trying Nigerian food. Im open to trying g new foods but somehow this did not work for me. I had goat with the egusi. The egusi was a bit too salty (perhaps that's how it usually is) but the goat was "hard". It could have been cooked more so it became more tender. The fufu was the best part of the dish. Once again in fairness, I'm not sure what the flavors are supposed to be, I also ordered the jollof rice. It had a smoky taste (almost like a burnt taste to my tastebud). I don't want to give a bad review because I am inexperienced with Nigerian food but it just seemed a little off to me.

Yelp
I ordered from here on Uber eats and they had the nerve to send me an "assorted" Okra Soup with one piece of meat and 3 pieces of fat. Their price is $20 for a plate and they have a $25 dollar minimum. The least they can do is give people a full portion of food. I will not be ordering again.

Yelp
I love West African food so I was really disappointed with my experience. Not only is it a step down from other restaurants in the neighborhood, but they had multiple serious errors. I ordered beef suya, chin-chin, egusi with beef, joloff rice, and fufu. Though the suya spice mix is a step down from Buka and Brooklyn Suya, they were generous with their serving size so it felt like a fair value. The chin-chin was the best single item. But when I cracked open the egusi expecting "stewed tender boneless beef," I was seriously let down. Instead of what was described, got a few chunks of what feels like dried beef tossed in egusi sauce. The sauce was good enough but that was not what I ordered. The worst issue was the joloff rice though. It was burnt - inedible. Another strange thing was that I got text messages from some app called "grpvyn" after ordering. DF's own order page required you to send a separate venmo transaction at the end, which sounded annoying, so I went with Grubhub. If you want to discourage people from using it, how about you fix your own site first instead of signing your customers up for random text messages as punishment?

Yelp
Best Nigerian food in NYC. They have a menu on most delivery apps close to its location in Brooklyn. So much more better quality food compared to Buka. Extensive vegan menu available as well. Order a lot of food from here all the time. Including Suya, Jollof Rice, Goat, Ayamse Stew among others. Always good. Not a fan of their meat pie though

Yelp
I'm American, and the egusi here reminded me of that- I could NOT take the heat! I've eaten at plenty of African restaurants and have visited certain parts of the continent, so while I'm not new to the flavors I wouldn't consider myself a vet. What I will say is that I've fought through the heat in dishes from other places, because the flavors were worth it. Here I didn't enjoy the flavors AND it was painful to eat. But if heat is your jam then this may be your spot! I will add that the vegan jollof is really exceptional, and the spring rolls were okay- albeit confusing lol

Yelp
Sunday February 27,2022 I decided I wanted to try Nigerian food. from a Brooklyn catering business on Atlantic and Grand Street. I am new to it and had only tried it from one place in Harlem before. I called the business at 330 pm to find out how to go about ordering food from them and a young girl on the phone instructed me to order online. This is the ONLY way to place a order with this business. She told me go online place my order and pay and they can get started on my order while I make my way to the establishment. I do not live in Brooklyn so it will take me about 30 minutes driving to arrive. On the website it has a list of 3rd party vendors to place a order from on the drop down menus an I choose grubhub(seamless). GRUBHUB owns seamless so if you order from either one it's the same system. My order is confirmed and I have a number and the order says it will be ready in 25 minutes. When I arrive T 430OPM a young girl who sounded like the one from the phone asked me my name on my order I showed her my order. She never returns but then I ask a young boy if he can check my order. I show him my phone and tell him my name and he returns from the kitchen and tells me "YOUR ORDER WILL BE READY IN 10 MINUTES". In this time I am waiting outside in the cold and it is 30 degrees. I watch my Seamless app and return at 600pm because my app says the FOOD ORDER WAS CLOSED. CLOSED BUT I HAVE NO FOOD and the catering place closes at 7pm. AT door now I'm knocking on the glass and a grown man the owner I am assuming ( his faces matches the cartoon logo) is asking me what I want but I can't hear because the door is locked and there is no communication hole. I ask him to open the door but he refuses and says they don't take orders at the door. I'm explaining I have a order and show him my phone with the seamless(GRUBHUB owns seamless) confirmation # and he says they do not take 3rd party pick up orders and there is nothing there for me. They refused to talk to me and let me in but they let my friend inside the establishment and spoke to him about MY food. I just waited 2.5 hours to receive no food after being told earlier my food would be ready in 10 mins. I had to call seamless and get my money back. I told my story the next day in my instagram and have been victim Shamed and cursed out by his daughter and other even in Nigeria. He went on live and threaten me not to come back or I will see. All I wanted was my food. With one hr left in business and as a catering business why couldn't they just do anything for me after I waited so long? I went in their website which is not user friendly and still can't see how to order a single plate directly from their site it is catering sizes. I've never felt so cold and embarrassed in my life and I was a paying customer!

Yelp
Was glad to see that I can get African food delivered to me. I ordered the jollof rice with stew chicken and a side order of jollof rice. I haven't had jollof rice in years and it closely resembled the one my Nigerian friend's mom made. Not as spicy as I would like it to be, but a very good option in Brooklyn.

Yelp
I have ordered food from dine about 4 times. Yesterday my husband ordered food for our naming ceremony. When I tell you this chef never misses, he does not. The food was amazing. We ordered stew chicken, goat , fish and jollof yesterday. It was so good . We've had a variety of food from here and it's always good and my husband is Nigerian and he says it taste authentic and good, my family is American and they love the food as well. I had to leave a review that's how good the food is.

Yelp
I ordered ogbono soup from here and it was sour and nasty. This saddens me because I rarely give out bad reviews, but the food was just not edible. Sorry about being blunt.

Yelp
I had the vegan jollof with spinach and plantains from their food truck. The rice was fluffy and delicious, and the spinach was some of the best I've ever had -- spicy, salty, and a little something else. The plantains were just so-so. And at $16, the whole thing was pretty expensive for a food truck. Still, glad I tried it. It can be hard to find good veg west African food.

Yelp
Ok. Every once in a while, my Yoruba DNA pushes me towards Jollof, Fufu, Eguisi. And whenever that happens, there is only one blessing to feed the need. Divine Flavor Kitchen is SUBLIME. The flavors, spices and energy of love mix to make each bite heaven on earth. No matter what happens in my day, I am always at peace, joyous and beloved when I eat from the menu. In addition, the family is the kindest, most hard working awesome people you can meet. If you're looking for great food, and of note great NIGERIAN food, look no further. Paradise found! It's so good, I went from tense to DIVINE FLAVOR FAVOR. I think it gave me new cheekbones! ...get you some and get your glow up! It's #vgoodenergy

Yelp
I hired this catering group for my daughters wedding in July 2022. it was a major disappointment. they arrived on time but were not experienced enough to plate the meAl's. it was a big mess. do not trust them for a major event.

Yelp
Ordered via Grubhub; the food was excellent. Spicy and full of flavor. And the portion was hefty. I love Nigerian Food. Excellent

Yelp
Let me just tell you, I don't know who that women is that work there but she is extremely rude. I am big on customer service and she is the worse! I will never step foot in this establishment again. She was screaming at the top of her lung who is it when I walked through the door. Rather than come to the fri t of the door she kept screaming. I answered her 3 times behind my COVID mask. Needless to say she was rude. I good!

Yelp
This food is so amazing!! It's not too crazy spicy, but very flavorful and cooked with care! highly recommend.

Yelp
Great Nigerian food, not watered down for western palates. Excellent takeout packaging.

Yelp
I've tried Nigerian food a few times before, this is hands down the best I've ever had. The jollof rice is amazing with just the right amount of spice. I'm not a big fan of goat but the goat here I wanted to keep eating. I tried the suya, plantain, and puff puffs, which were very good as well. The owner and staff are also very friendly and welcoming. This place is a must try if you enjoy Nigerian food or even if your just in the mood for something different!

Yelp
I met the owner today for the first time and had the pleasure of ordering pounded yam with egusi soup and assorted meat. FANTASTIC quality and service. I plan on patronizing this business as it is a family owned and operated. It is obvious the owner has a genuine interest in proving the best quality food and customer service.

Yelp
The best Nigerian food you will find in New York City. The owner is always so nice and they give you a very decent portion size. From the stews to the moimoi to the overall service, literally no complaints

Paige A.

Yelp
Honestly this is the best nigerian jollof and stewed wings i have ever had! Portions are great as well!

Yelp
The food tastes good and is well prepared, takes you back home! Customer service is also top notch. I respect that.

Yelp
This is my favourite Naija restaurant in NYC. I eat here every week whenever i am in the city, picking up meals from the food truck on 44th st. and 2nd Avenue or from the 992 Atlantiv ave kitchen. Everything is good but my favourites are Ayamashe/Ofada, Yam Porridge with fish and Ewa Goyin (delicious beabs with fried stew). Also what keeps me coming back is the consistency.
google avatar

Linda A.

Yelp
Horrible food! Ayamashe was onions fried together in bad oil! Beef is all bones, and running a business center out of a food truck! Like come on!

Kome E.

Yelp
Never order from this company. I've ordered food from them before and it made me sick but I gave them a second chance. I ordered again and received verbal abuse from the owner who screamed that I should not tell him how to run his business (following me waiting for 6 hours for food that I subsequently cancelled). The customer service is awful. The food is unfresh and my stomach has never recovered. Again this isn't out of malice, but I do not want to see anyone who values good customer service to be let down. This was a horrible experience I do not wish on my worst enemy.

Paulina M.

Yelp
This review is for the food truck on 2nd Avenue btwn 44th and 45th I front of the Nigerian consulate. In the battle between Nigerian jollof and Ghanaian jollof...Nigeria wins at this food truck!!! Smoky, spicy, yummy jollof rice. The lack of five stars is because the wait is an eternity!!!!!!! This lady needs to hire someone to help her. They have a high demand, there is always a line so they should invest in some help. Sadly, we left the line today because we just couldn't wait and there were already three or four people waiting for their food in the cold for 15 minutes.

Yelp
Jollof, Suya, Gizzdodo traditional Nigerian food done in the heart of Brooklyn but with a Lagos flair. The expectations of the food from DF was beyond what I had imagined, as I placed my order I met the owner who took time from cooking in the kitchen to introduce himself and offered to let me sample some smoked turkey he was preparing for some spinach. My jollof was spicy as I expected with the meat stew, I asked for extra gravy/stew on the rice but I guess in the preparation of the order they forgot, the gizzdodo was also spicy and the gizzard tender and not chewy as was the Suya. Will be back to try other traditional Nija foods but if you are a beginner and love plantains and rice I urge you to try the Gizzdodo, the Jollof. Thank you Chef for the extra plantain see you soon.
